The Ashes of Confidence Chapter 5 A Dream

(A/N #1: So Sorry again for taking so long to post a new chapter for this story. It is just that I have just been so working so hard on my Pokémon/Ben 10 Story work and planning a couple of things out for my newer stories, that I kinda forgot about this story, a little bit. But now I am back to working on this story. From this point forward, I am going to try and make a habit of working on (and then Publishing) new Chapters of this story once every weekend. But I may not always be able to adhere to that schedule, but I will make a definite effort to do so).
(A/N #2: Like I said at the end of Chapter 4, I said that the Next Chapter, (this Chapter) would be when we return to the present day that I depicted in this Story's First Chapter).
(As the Dark Stormy and Rainy Night continued, Ash was in bed, already having fallen asleep. With Pikachu sleeping on the top bunk of his bed. As Ash found himself sleeping, dreams were forming in Ash's Head. Not good ones, as they were memories of his recent battles that he lost, remembering the moments when he lost. Starting with his Loss to Gary Oak).
(Ash was remembering when he Pushed Pikachu to overpower Mega Venusaur's Solar Beam while using Volt Tackle).
Ash Ketchum: THIS IS IT PIKACHU! YOU CAN DO IT PIKACHU! COME ON! WE CAN'T LOSE! YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT EVERYTHING YOU GOT! GO NOW! GO HARD! GO PIKACHU! (But despite that, Mega Venusaur won the Battle).
(Then Ash remembers when he had Pushed his Glalie too hard during the battle with Paul and his Torterra. And foolishly believed that after freezing Torterra solid in Ice with Glalie's Ice Beam he won. Only for Torterra to break free and capture Glalie in its Giga Drain attack, before delivering the final blow).
Ash Ketchum: GLALIE IS FINE! GLALIE USE ICE BEAM! (But Glalie cannot Ice Beam due to how tired it still is. Making Ash growl in more Anger and Frustration now. Then Paul decided to finish the battle saying).
Paul: Torterra lets use Hyper Beam! (Torterra fires its Hyper Beam at Glalie at Close Range. When the Hyper Beam hits Glalie, it Screams in Pain, before going and Crashing on the Ground in front of Ash with the Spirals in its Eyes, showing that Glalie has lost the Battle).
(Next Ash remembered the battle he had with Brandon the king of the Battle Frontier. And how foolish and aggravated he acted when he yelled at Melmetal not noticing how injured, and tired Melmetal got during the battle. And how Brandon Scolded him afterwards, and just how much they hurt him, even if a small part of him realizes that he deserved it).
Brandon: Save it Ash! There are no excuses for what you did today. You blatantly ignored your Pokémon's needs in favor of your selfish and greedy desires to win. ... no different than Paul! ... Disgrace to all Pokémon trainers. You do not deserve to be a Champion at all! Or a Pokémon Trainer at all. I no longer have any respect for you as a Pokémon Trainer, Champion, or even as a Person, I am terribly disappointed in you Ash Ketchum...
(Those memories of those battle he lost haunted Ash as he slept that night. Ash knew that he never wanted to battle ever again. Because those loses have broken his confidence. In Ash's Dreams, he continued to commiserate his losses as he continued relieving his memories in his Dreams watching them play repeatedly in black and white like they were part of old Hollywood movie on a Film Projector in a Movie Theater. Feeling so much pain and anguish tormenting him, when suddenly the film stopped, confusing him. Ash suddenly found his Dark Dream Environment changing into one of a brightly covered world with a bunch of bright colors. As Ash kept trying to understand what was going on here, he heard a voice call to him).
Voice: Ash. (Upon hearing his name called, Ash began looking all around for the one who called his name).
Ash: Who said that? Where are you? (Then Ash heard the voice call out to him again).
Voice: Ash. (Ash heard the voice call out to him from above him. When he looked up, he heard a magical sparkly sound as something began floating down towards him. What he saw was a brightly colored Rainbow Bubble with something in it. It was a Pokémon that Ash had only seen a couple of times over the course of his Career as a Pokémon Trainer. It was a Pokémon that very few people have seen because of how rare it is to find in the world. But Ash recognized the Pokémon at once, saying in shock once the Pokémon floated down in front of him and made the brightly colored Rainbow Bubble surrounding it fade).
Ash: MEW! (Happy about ending up recognized by Ash here, Mew Smiles and laughs in its playfully, childish way).
Mew: That is right Ash. (Then Ash begins to wonder where he and Mew are, asking the Mythical Pokémon before him).
Ash: Where are we? (Mew in response to Ash's question, giggles some more before answering).
Mew: In your dreams you silly Ducklett. (This Response looks to confuse Ash even more as he has another question for Mew).
Ash: Wait?! We are in my Dreams?! Then am I- (Before Ash can keep talking, Mew interrupts him to clarify something).
Mew: No Ash, there is nothing happening that is making you imagine my presence here. Since I am a Real Genuine Mew. Not a Figment of your imagination, nor your dreams. (Ash is in shock to hear this, as he then asks Mew).
Ash: Wait?! If you are real Mew, then why are you here? (Mew then smiles friendly at Ash as it answers his question).
Mew: Because I have heard you have been having a bad streak of Battle luck Ash. (Ash grits his teeth a bit at hearing that but trying not to lose his temper in front of the Mythical Pokémon present here, as he mutters to himself).
Ash: So, you know about that huh? (Mew then begins giggling in a playfully childish way as it teases Ash saying).
Mew: Yes, you have been losing big time. (Ash does not appreciate Mew's act of teasing him here as it keeps giggling towards him).
Ash: It is not funny Mew. (But Mew just keeps laughing at him in its playfully childish way).
Mew: Yes, it is. (Then Mew stops laughing and composes itself enough, to Ash's relief that it was not laughing at him anymore). But in all seriousness, I have come to help you. (Ash was surprised to hear that Mew wants to help him as he jumps to a conclusion about what Mew meant by "Help").
Ash: Do you mean that you are going to let me catch you? (Mew then playfully deflates Ash's excitement telling him).
Mew: No, that is not what I meant by "Help You". (Ash is a little disappointed by that).
Ash: Oh man. (Ash recovers quickly from his disappointment, before asking Mew). Then how are you going to help me? (Mew smiles as it answers Ash's Question).
Mew: With this. (Mew then uses its Psychic Powers to create a ball of light in the space between itself and Ash, who watches in awe and wonder. After a couple of moments, the ball of light dissipates revealing an item to Ash. The item was a Pendant resembling a Bright Shining Pink Diamond with what looked like an outline of Mew inside it. Mew then had the Pendant float over to Ash who took the Pendant in his hand, holding it by the String holding it all together, all the while Staring at in awe and wonder, before Mew answered the question that Ash was surely planning to ask). Ash, this is, The Mew Diamond. (Ash was in awe and amazement of the Diamond Pendant before him).
Ash: The Mew Diamond?
Mew: Yes, it is a Diamond with a part of my Power infused into it. You can use it to transform yourself into any different form, be it a human or that of a Pokémon, that you want. And of course, given the capabilities of the Pendant such as this, it should be obvious Ash, but an item like this must not fall into the wrong hands. You must keep this item a secret from everyone. (Ash is still in amazement of what Mew told him about the Pendant here as he processes what Mew said, he then asks).
Ash: Even Pikachu? (Mew thinks about it for a second before responding to Ash's Question).
Mew: You can tell Pikachu but no one else is to know about The Pendant. (Ash smiles understanding and accepting of what Mew told him).
Ash: Got it. With this Pendant, I may be able to turn my luck around and get a couple of wins for a change. (Mew smiles as it tells Ash).
Mew: Surely you will Ash. Or surely you will not. Just remember to not abuse the power that I am entrusting you with here. (Ash gives the Mythical Pokémon a confident smile while telling Mew).
Ash: You can count on me Mew. (Then Ash's confident smiles, relaxes a bit as he gives the Mythical Pokémon an appreciative look). And thank you. (Mew sends Ash a friendly Smile as it says to Ash).
Mew: Your Welcome Ash. (Then Mew recreates the brightly colored Rainbow Bubble it had earlier around itself and begins floating upward into sky of Ash's Dream World while saying to him). Best of luck in all future battles. (Then Mew completely disappears with a sparkle flashing where it disappeared too. Once Mew was gone, Ash stared at the Diamond Pendant in his hands, marveling it. When he suddenly heard a persistent Ringing noise, causing him to wonder it was coming).
Ash: Huh? Where is that noise coming from? (Then the Ringing noise seemed to Amplify causing Ash to scream in pain as he covers his ears to try and block out the noise. Then Suddenly unbeknownst to Ash, his entire dream world began to end up engulfed in white light).
(Then Suddenly Ash heard a thud noise and felt parts of his body in pain. Then Ash slowly began to open his eyes, waking himself up from his slumber).
Ash: Oh man. (Ash then fully opens his eyes to see that he was on the floor, having fallen out of bed after waking up due to his alarm clock, which resulted in the "Thud" Noise he heard and caused parts of his body to feel like they were in pain. And then he saw that he knocked his alarm clock off his bedside table and broke it in the process). Now, I have heard of waking up on the wrong side of the bed in the morning, but not waking up on the floor after falling out of bed. (Ash laughed a bit at his comment. Before he heard a pair of scampering feet and saw that Pikachu was coming down from the top bunk of his Bunkbed. Then Pikachu came and stared at him with a worried look on his face).
Pikachu: Good morning, Ash. (Ash, to Pikachu's surprise sits up from the position he was in when he fell out of bed, before smiling back at him saying sound like his old Casual, Upbeat, and eager self).
Ash: Morning Buddy. (Pikachu was surprised to see Ash like this).
Pikachu: Morning Ash. You sure look to be in a better mood today. (Ash knows what Pikachu is talking about here).
Ash: Do not worry friend, I am not all sad or depressed anymore. (Hearing this makes Pikachu smile with happiness).
Pikachu: You are?! For Real?! (Ash smiles back at Pikachu confirming it).
Ash: You bet. (Pikachu smiles back feeling overjoyed).
Pikachu: That is great news, I am so happy to hear that. (Pikachu then smiles and tackles Ash's Chest to hug him. This makes Ash smile happily as he hugs Pikachu back).
Ash: Me too Buddy. (After a couple of moments, Ash then sets Pikachu back down on the floor before asking him). How about you go ahead and let Mom and Mimey know I am up and that I will be ready for Breakfast soon okay? (Pikachu smiles back at Ash, happy to do what Ash asked of him).
Pikachu: Of Course, Buddy. (Pikachu then smiles and runs to the door to let Delia and Mr. Mime know about Ash before he stops and says to Ash with a big smile on his face) I am relieved to see you smiling again Ash. (Ash smiles back at Pikachu, feeling a ton better then he has this past month alone).
Ash: Me too Buddy. Me too. (Then Pikachu leaves smiling, leaving Ash alone in his room. Ash then smiles as he walks to his bedroom window, opening the shades keeping the outside world from seeing into his bedroom. While also allowing Sunlight to shine into his room as he stretches, trying to ease the pain he got from falling out of bed like he did. Once he feels a little better, he suddenly feels something around his neck that he did not feel a couple of minutes ago. Ash then notices that in his reflection, there was a Chain around his neck, connected to something he could not see that was underneath his undershirt. Ash then grabbed the Chain around his neck to pull whatever the Chain happened goes to under his undershirt. When Ash keeps pulling the chain out from under his undershirt, his eyes widen in surprise when he sees that the chain around his neck connects to The Mew Diamond! He could even see the Mew Shaped Outline/Imprint inside the Diamond). The Mew Diamond! This means that everything that happened in my Dream was Real! (Ash then realized that the Power contained in this pendant that Mew mentioned was in fact real. And if Mew was right, then he knew that was sure to start turning around in his favor as he said to himself). With this Pendant of Power at my disposal, I know I will make a comeback as a Pokémon Trainer. (Then Ash looks out the window with a Smile of Confidence on his Face). Look out world, Ash Ketchum is back! (Then unbeknownst to Ash, The Mew Diamond began to glow and shine bright pink as the power it holds begins to surge a little as it began to awaken, along with Ash's newfound confidence).
