¡Here I present myself with the beginning of this new arc!

I would like to thank Lucario, who became a recent member of my Patre-on and thanks to him there will be a triple chapter of this story. For those who don't know, this consists of a sequence of consecutive chapters every three days. This means that there will be an extra/new chapter within three days. Remember that you can extend this extra chapter limit if you become a member of my Patre-on for a dollar. You can look me up as Jyanzein.

That being said, it's time to begin.

¡Enjoy!

The accelerated steps, the agitation, the sweating...

All were clear indications of one thing...

Fear.

A kind of feeling Takashi was not familiar with, and that's why his mind reacted accordingly to his body.

Run.

Run not only to save himself, but also his friends.

Once he climbed the last few steps, Takashi ventured down the empty hallways at full speed, the expression on his face said it all.

Once he reached his classroom, Takashi didn't spare his frenzy so he didn't hesitate to open the door with impressive abruptness, causing everyone to look at him with utmost confusion.

"¿Komuro-san?" The professor inquired with much confusion, even the very abrupt and violent arrival made him drop his chalk from fright.

Takashi didn't answer, all he did was make his way towards his desk at a brisk pace. The young man took the case where his bat and the wooden katana were.

"¡Quick, we have to go!" Shouted a rather exalted Takashi as he grabbed Saya and Hirano's arms, who watched him with quite a bit of confusion.

"¡Hey, wait a second!" The busty midget exclaimed with some trepidation as she was dragged away by the great strength Takashi had acquired thanks to Saeko's training.

"¿¡What the hell are you doing!?" Takashi remembered again that Rei and he shared a course when he heard her shout.

"¡We have to go now!" Takashi didn't even deign to deliver her a decent answer.

It wasn't because it was that woman though. If it had been anyone else he would have responded the same way, since he couldn't think straight.

Takashi dragged his two friends along, regardless of their complaints, causing Rei to grit her teeth in annoyance and start following them, something Hisashi mimicked. The Mitakashi sisters decided to follow them out of simple curiosity, while the other students and the professor were just very confused.

"¡Hey, stop!" Saya shouted, finding enough strength to break away from the grip, something that stopped Takashi, and, thus, Hirano as well.

"You're scaring me..." The chubby boy's words made Takashi finally react.

"I'm sorry. But there's no time." Takashi let go of Hirano, who rubbed his arm in a little pain.

"¿Could you do us a favor and tell us what the fuck is going on?" Saya's question just fell as Rei and Hisashi arrived along with the Mitakashi sisters.

"No time, we have to look for Saeko." Takashi's tone sounded much more relaxed, but you only needed to see his face to realize he was nowhere near that.

"Hungg... ¡Alright, but you'd better give us a good explanation!" Saya exclaimed with closed eyes and clear annoyance while rubbing her temple with both hands.

Takashi just nodded, to start running once again. This time, Hirano and Saya followed him freely, while a few meters behind they were followed by the others.

BEGINNING OF ARC - CHAPTER 10: ¡WELCOME TO THE APOCALYPSE! _

Saeko was sitting on her bench. They were probably talking about the distribution of the work for the end-of-cycle event, but she wasn't even paying attention. Everything around her was nothing but murmurs, as her interest was focused on the sheet of paper on which she was drawing. Her hand was resting on her cheek while an apathetic face dominated her. That same expression changed a little when her teeth clenched slightly as her hand clenched, something that almost broke the pencil.

That moment of apparent reflection was broken when the classroom door was opened by a loud bang. Her gaze lifted and her apathetic face changed to one of surprise when she saw that it was Takashi, who seemed to be searching for her with his eyes. Once he found her, the young man quickly ventured towards her and grabbed her by the hand without even mediating words, dragging her away on the spot.

The boy's apparent madness caused the notebook to fall to the ground, and thanks to that it could be seen that he was drawing her and Takashi while they were training in a dojo, probably the one he had planned to create in Japan before receiving the news from his father.

All the students and the teacher didn't even say anything, they just watched as Takashi grabbed Saeko's wooden katana and pressed it against her chest. The woman wanted to speak, but the protagonist dragged her away without her being able to say a word under the restless gaze of the others.

Once he reached outside the classroom he finally stopped, and Saeko showed her confusion as she saw the amount of people gathered outside.

"¿Now can you tell us what was going on?" Saya asked with her impassive gaze.

"I don't know how to explain it. You're going to think I'm crazy, just follow me and I'll tell you on the way..." Just as they ventured towards the exit, Rei and Hisashi stepped into their path.

"¿Are you sure this is about something urgent? From what I see, you're just trying to flirt with that woman." Rei spat venomously, only to slyly smirk. "¿Maybe they're going to have some fun one last time since she's going to live in America?" This time, her words were not focused on Takashi, and Saeko was noticeably struck after hearing those words.

"Rei, this is not the time for this..."

"She's right." The Mitakashi sisters interrupted Hisashi, gaining everyone's attention. "If Saeko-san is going to America, ¿why don't you better look to start a relationship to forget her faster?" one of the twins commented, her smile turned somewhat mischievous.

"You know, there are a lot of girls who are interested in you after what you did in that video." The other twin completed the sentence, her smile was even dirtier.

Saeko could feel every inch of her ache from what she was hearing. She didn't know the reason, or just didn't want to understand, but ever since Rei had said those words her bad mood from the morning had transformed into a stabbing pain in her chest that was choking her.

"¡THERE'S NO TIME FOR THIS!"

Takashi's shout not only startled everyone, it had awakened Saeko from her nightmare. But it hadn't been because of the yell, if not because of how he clung to her hand tighter.

It was as if his life depended on it, something that filled her with joy, but at the same time, it was something that confused her quite a bit.

This was definitely not the usual Takashi.

That yell had drawn the attention of the surrounding classrooms, so now they were being watched by everyone.

"He-hey, calm down a bit and let's talk..." Hisashi spoke with some nervousness, but the talk was interrupted when the academy's speakers beeped loudly.

"Attention all students."

Everyone looked toward the speakers after hearing the principal.

"A violent incident is occurring at the academy at this time."

More than one showed great bewilderment after hearing those words.

"All students should follow their teachers' instructions and evacuate."

The various classrooms that were in harmony were now listening to the message in silence.

"I repeat. A violent incident in the school is occurring at this time."

"They've already noticed."" Takashi's comment made everyone fix their gaze on him.

"All students must follow the instruc-"

A loud bang was followed by another beep like the initial one, though this time it was loud enough to deafen everyone a bit.

"The principal's office is on the second floor, don't tell me they've already arrived..." Takashi commented with a rather tense face.

"¿Who are you referring to? ¿Are they assassins or something? ¿Do you know them?" Hisashi asked with great seriousness.

"It's not that, I..." Takashi fell silent after hearing a small scream coming from the speaker.

"¡Help me! ¡Stop!"

The faint cries of desperation continued as everyone listened without even moving a muscle. The only one who moved was Hirano, who grabbed Saya's hand, to Saya's silent gaze.

"¡It hurts, it hurts!"

The commotion was beginning to be heard louder as all the students slowly got to their feet.

"¡Help me! ¡I'm going to die! ¡No-NOOO AAAARRRRRRYYAAAAAGGGGGHH!"

Shizuka woke up after that last scream, her sleepy look followed by a stony silence.

All the students were on their feet. Their facial expressions said it all.

There was nothing but horror.

The teachers were not much better, who could only be bewildered and fearful.

But if there was one thing in common, it was that they were all paralyzed.

Until...

That deathly silence disappeared when a teacher dropped a piece of chalk.

"¡AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

Cries of despair echoed throughout the academy. Everyone ran out into the hallways, and the overcrowding along with in great disorder caused many to end up getting run over by everyone, which caused them to die. That same large crazed crowd caused Saya and Hirano to be dragged backwards, while Takashi was still holding Saeko's hand.

"¡Takashi!" The woman shouted his name with great concern, as she could feel her hand slowly being pulled apart by the uncontrolled commotion of students.

Takashi could only grunt in an attempt to keep up with her, but eventually their hands separated.

"¡Saeko!" Takashi managed to grab her katana, but soon after it lost its sheath and that caused them to separate.

Saeko watched with her hand outstretched as her raised katana drifted further and further away through the crowd and the desperate screams until she simply couldn't see it anymore.

Fujimi Academy

The riot and desperate shouting made it impossible to hear anything but the terror of the students. Takashi was in the middle of all that turmoil, being pushed and squeezed like a sack of potatoes while doing his best to hold the katana high up so as not to cut anyone by accident.

The protagonist watched out of the corner of his eye as they quickly approached the stairs to the lower floor, causing a large number of people to roll down the stairs, something that also happened to him. But he was much luckier than others, as the amount of crushed and knocked out bodies allowed him to have a smooth fall, though that didn't take away from the dangerous. Takashi cornered himself against the edge of the stairs, taking a few stomps or kicks from the panicked running students, until finally nothing else happened.

Takashi's eyes slowly opened. The desolate sight made him stand up as he looked at the large number of corpses that had been trampled on the stairs.

"Easy, Takashi." The young man closed his eyes, taking a long sigh to calm his mind. "I'll think about this once I'm far away from here." The protagonist thought, a slight look of pain flashed across his face as he tried to move.

Takashi pulled down one of his socks, noting how his ankle was a bit swollen.

"I twisted it when I fell, but I think it's nothing serious." Thought the young man as he touched the affected area.

Takashi tilted his gaze to the front, where he saw how the katana had been thrust into one of the many corpses.

"I just hope he didn't die from this..." Takashi commented with some guilt as he pulled the katana out of the chest of the man, who was the physical education teacher.

Takashi surveyed the scene once more, before placing the katana over his shoulder and starting to walk carefully because of his ankle.

"I hope the others are okay..." Takashi thought with a concern he couldn't hide, but that moment was put on the back burner as he heard footsteps coming from the outer corridors of the academy connecting to the inner corridors.

"¡Takashi!" Hisashi exclaimed, who stopped outside along with Rei.

"¿Are you two okay?" The teenager asked, approaching them with a slight limp.

"We are, ¿but you?" Hisashi asked with a worried look.

"Don't worry, I just twisted my ankle a little." Takashi replied, pulling himself together with some difficulty.

"¿Why is that katana full of blood? Did you..." Rei asked somewhat alarmed as she noticed how the weapon was dripping blood.

"It was an accident. The horde of students caught me and it was impossible for me to escape." Takashi made his point, causing Hisashi to lower his gaze slightly.

"We were barely able to escape from the crowd. Luckily no one came down these halls." Takashi's former friend commented.

"Speaking of your accident..." Rei's frown deepened noticeably. "¿How is that woman going to bring a real katana to school? ¿Is she out of her mind?"

"This is not the time for this." Takashi commented, who cupped his face in some frustration.

"Takashi is right. Thanks to that now we're going to have a really good weapon to protect ourselves with if something happens." Hisashi supported his old friend, causing Rei to look away.

"¡Alright, alright! ¡I get it!" The young woman exclaimed with a hint of irritation. "¿What now?" that irritation disappeared once she asked the question.

"First thing is to go to the exit, we need to leave before..."

"¡HEEEEELP!"

Takashi's speech was abruptly interrupted by a shout. The three of them turned their faces in surprise as they saw a student rushing into their midst.

But he was not alone.

"¡Help me! ¡Get him off me!" The student was shaking his hand with great force as another student seemed to be devouring his hand.

The three stood transfixed as they watched the student flail about in great desperation. That same desperation caused him to stumble against the railings. Hisashi was the first to react and ran to save him, but it was too late.

The student fell from the third floor together with his attacker, in front of Hisashi's eyes, who could only watch with wide eyes as they collided with the ground and a dreadful sound was created by the collision.

All Rei could do was cover her mouth once she reached the railing, while Takashi was undoubtedly the calmest of the three.

It was only natural, as he had had a similar experience not too long ago.

"¿But what's happening to the people? I'm sure the person who was biting him had our academy's clothing..." Rei commented, who felt her tears threatening to roll down her cheeks.

"Wait a minute..." Hisashi caught the two's attention, and the three were immensely surprised to see how the two students who should have died were now standing up as if nothing happened to them.

"¿What? ¿How could those two still be alive?" A horrified Rei wondered as she watched them walk with some ribs sticking out of their bodies.

"I doubt they're alive..." Takashi's answer caught the attention of the two, who looked at him in surprise.

"¿How much do you know about this?" Hisashi asked.

"No more than you do." Was Takashi's simple reply.

"Hey, I think coming down isn't a very good idea." The two men fixed their gaze on Rei, who had moved a little away from them. "Look over there." Hisashi and Takashi approached, and both were a bit shocked at what they witnessed.

The main entrance to the academy was total chaos.

Broken glass, blood everywhere, screams, and a horde of students who were being devoured, convulsing, or simply dead. Those who were luckier managed to break through and reach the exit gate, but since it was closed they could only climb up and that's where their luck ran out, as they were grabbed by other students in bad shape who soon treated them like dinner.

A few achieved their goals, but the vast majority of them were leaving with a souvenir treat.

"In that case we should go for the administration building..."

"Not a good idea." Takashi interrupted him. "Chances are many have thought the same thing."

"¿So what are you planning?" Rei asked, placing both hands on her waist.

"The best thing to do is wait for everything to calm down a bit. Then we'll go get my friends and..."

"I'm sorry to tell you, Takashi, but your friends are most likely..." Hisashi didn't finish the sentence, feeling somewhat helpless about everything that was happening.

"Don't worry." Both Rei and Hisashi were surprised to notice Takashi's smile. "They know how to take care of themselves very well."

"If you say so..." Rei pulled out her cell phone, browsing through her contacts. "Back to the main topic, I think it's a good idea to stay and wait. Help will most likely come within..." Rei was silent, something that confused the two men.

"¿What's wrong?" Takashi asked as he noticed how Rei's eyes began to twitch.

"It-it can't be..." Her tone of voice sounded very distressed. "All lines are busy..." Rei dropped her cell phone, it was simply impossible for her to take in what was happening.

"That means waiting for outside help isn't a plan either..." Hisashi commented with a frown.

"¿Does that mean the whole city is screwed?" Takashi thought as he peered outside the walls, though he couldn't see much. "Luckily my parents are overseas. But I can't say the same for them..." He concluded, a hint of pity falling on his shoulders as he watched Rei try to hide her sadness.

"Still, I think we should do what Takashi proposed." Hisashi commented, causing Rei to snap out of her little world of despair.

"You're right." Rei nodded, then fixed her gaze on Takashi. "¿Do you have somewhere in mind?"

"The rooftop. No one will go to bother there." Takashi's answer left Hisashi with some doubt.

"¿Are you sure? Remember that on the top floor is the disciplinary committee room. Most likely many have gone there for the confiscated weapons and things..."

"I know." Takashi interrupted him. "That's why we'll go by the fire protection stairs." The two nodded at his idea, and started walking towards their goal.

Hisashi wanted to help him walk, but Takashi shook his head.

The crossing wasn't very long, as the outer corridors led him to the fourth floor without problems and there they made a small jump to get on the auxiliary stairs. Takashi stopped for a short second at that spot, as that was where he always stayed to lament and think about how he had made a mistake. Rei asked him what he was doing, to which Takashi just kept silent and followed his two former friends.

They reached the fifth floor. Everything was turning out to be simple for the three of them.

Too simple...

Hisashi felt a drop of blood fall on his cheek, so it didn't take him long to look up. His eyes widened like rarely before, and it alarmed both Takashi and Rei. Both were quick to follow his gaze, and the surprise was just as great when they saw that a corpse was right above them.

The three of them climbed the stairs with great caution, and that caution turned to shock when they saw who it was.

Or rather, who they were about.

"It's the Mitakashi sisters..." Hisashi commented quietly, watching as one of the sisters was devouring the stomach of the other.

Rei couldn't stand what she was seeing, so it didn't take long for her to lean against the railing and vomit up everything inside her. This alerted the zombie, who dug its face out of the large hole in its sister's abdomen.

The zombie got up with incredible speed. Hisashi tensed up, but the zombie zoomed past him and went straight for Rei, who was barely recovering, so she could only watch in horror.

"¡KYYYYYAAAAAAAA!"

Rei screamed in great fear, but before she could even touch it, Takashi reacted in time with a strong kick that pulled her down.

"¿Are you okay?" Takashi placed a hand on her shoulder to calm her down, causing Rei's eyes to widen.

A noticeable blush appeared on her cheeks, to which she could only nod awkwardly.

"¡Mitakashi-san!" Hisashi exclaimed, watching as the twin being devoured slowly sat up.

"¿How...?" Was the only thing that came out of Rei's lips, watching as Hisashi tried to help her to stand up.

Hisashi's worried eyes widened slightly as the twin raised her face, revealing lifeless white eyes.

"¡HISASHI, WATCH OUT!"

Takashi reacted quickly to thrust the katana at her and push her away, until finally throwing her over the railing. The young man began to breathe slightly agitated as he turned around.

His eyes widened slightly as he watched Hisashi hold his hand in slight pain.

"¿Hisashi, are you okay?" A very concerned Rei asked as she saw her boyfriend's pained face.

"It's no big deal..." Hisashi smiled with some difficulty, revealing that he had a small bite on his hand. "It's just a scratch."

It's just a scratch...

Those words repeated in Takashi's mind after he started to string together the missing pieces.

Everyone went crazy when they were bitten.

Hisashi had been bitten.

Takashi didn't hesitate for a second and grabbed Hisashi's arm with surprising strength. None of them were able to react in time, all they saw was how Takashi raised the katana and then brought it down at high speed.

Hisashi looked stunned at first, but then his horrified face slowly began to appear as his arm began to detach from his shoulder.

"Ahh-Aaaaahh..."

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"¡Calm down, you'll be fine!" Takashi dropped the katana and raised his severed arm in an attempt to stem the bleeding.

"¿¡W-what!?.." Rei was in complete shock, she simply couldn't process what had just happened.

"¡Break a part of your skirt with the katana, quick! ¡We need to contain the bleeding!" Takashi shouted so that his voice could be heard over Hisashi's screams.

"¿¡WHAT DID YOU DO!? ¿¡DID YOU GO CRAZY!?"

"¡STOP CRYING AND DO AS I SAY, DAMN IT!"

Takashi's fierce face instantly shut Rei up. Her silent tears were still falling, but she quickly bent down and took the katana to cut a large part of the side of her skirt.

"Okay, this will do." Takashi applied a tourniquet around the amputated arm, at this point Hisashi was barely staying conscious. "Hold him for a moment." Takashi pulled Hisashi, who already looked half unconscious, close to him.

The protagonist used his dark jacket as if it were a large bandage to surround his wound, applying a second tourniquet in the process.

"This will only do for now." Takashi carried an already unconscious Hisashi on his back. "We need to go to the infirmary for a couple of painkillers. If we're lucky, Shizuka-sensei will be there and Hisashi will get proper treatment..." Takashi stopped his speech as he noticed Rei's very frightened face. "¿What's wrong?"

"The-the disciplinary committee..." Rei pointed upwards, causing Takashi to follow her.

His calm expression changed completely after what he witnessed.

There were many students, but they surely weren't anymore. Now those... "things" were pressing against the blood-covered, cracked glass that was breaking more and more.

"¡Shit, they sure heard our screams!" Takashi exclaimed in annoyance. "¡Quick, let's go up!" Rei didn't hesitate to follow his orders and they both made their way to the rooftop.

Takashi was going with one of his eyes closed, as the pain in his ankle was getting deeper and deeper, and carrying Hisashi only aggravated that discomfort.

Finally, the window shattered and a large number of zombies fell behind them, some even missed their landing and engaged in a free fall. Hearing the sound of glass shattering, both Takashi and Rei stopped to watch as the bodies slowly rose up, holding that monstrous look.

"¡RUN!" Takashi shouted and they both started to run faster, being followed by the zombies at a great speed.

Luckily for Takashi, his lousy condition was hurting him, but certainly those monsters were screwing themselves, pushing and pulling each other like idiots. The bad thing was that there were a large number of them, so escape seemed impossible, especially due to his condition.

Takashi's teeth clenched hard as he fell to his knees.

"¡Takashi!" Rei exclaimed in great alarm.

"¡Don't worry! ¡I'm fine, just keep running!" Takashi got to his feet as best he could and continued running, until they finally reached the rooftop entrance.

Rei opened the emergency door with a strong kick, breaking the padlock that kept it closed, as well as its handle. Takashi tried to close the door, but quickly realized it was impossible.

"¡Shit!" Takashi slammed the door in annoyance.

"¡Takashi, we have a big problem!" Shouted Rei, showing the padlock that locked the door leading to the stairs.

"¿¡Since when do they use padlock for the rooftop!?" Shouted Takashi very angrily, who removed the case from his shoulder and bent the wooden katana a bit so that it went between the thin holes of the grille in an effort to lock the door.

"Since a lot of students started coming here a few days ago..." Rei commented.

Takashi walked away at a slow pace, watching as the entire horde crashed into the barricaded gate. The protagonist's tongue clicked fiercely as he watched the wooden katana slowly cracking from the pressure.

"Load him up." Takashi handed Hisashi, causing Rei to look at him in utmost confusion.

"B-but..." Rei didn't get to say another word, as Takashi grabbed her shoulders tightly.

"I don't think those things made it all the way down this hallway. Once you break that lock, you should go to the infirmary, try to use places not too busy and go quietly." The protagonist commented very firmly, causing Rei's eyes to fill with tears.

"But we won't get the time to break it..."

"¡I'll give it to you!" Takashi trailed off and started climbing a wall with the help of the ducts.

"¡But that means you...!"

"¡Don't waste your time! ¡With my ankle like this, you know well I'd only be a hindrance!" Rei fell silent after hearing the shout, she could feel her tears begin to fall once again.

The woman closed her eyes tightly and began to kick the door as hard as she could.

Takashi positioned himself from the top and watched as all those things were about to break the katana.

"¡COME ON, YOU DAMN MONSTERS! ¡COME ON WITH EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT, OR YOU'RE GOING TO REGRET IT!"

It would be a lie to say that Takashi wasn't looking to encourage himself with those words, but it was something that seemed to work. That shaky smile on his face gave way as the wooden katana snapped in two, one of its parts landing on his feet.

"¡COME ON, COME OOOOOOOOOON!"

Takashi held out his arms to invite them into a direct confrontation in the hope that they wouldn't notice Rei.

Apparently, that plan worked, as Rei watched in awe as the entire horde of sick students began to run towards where Takashi was.

Rei was no longer distracted and continued to kick the lock.

"¡I'LL TAKE CARE OF EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!"

Takashi started throwing slashes left and right, killing all those who tried to approach him.

The grunts of the zombies and Takashi's energy kept Rei's act silent, who was finally able to break the doorknob, so he needed only one last strong kick more to break the door's latch.

Rei moved forward and did not look back.

She didn't dare to.

All she did was close her eyes in great helplessness.

There was no end to the horde, Takashi's body was already completely stained with that putrid smelling blood. Even some occasional guts were falling on his body and hanging from it.

But that did not disgust him.

The frenzy and adrenaline of the moment was too much to notice that.

The very corpses of those things began to serve as ladders, so some began to climb over the bodies. Takashi gritted his teeth hard, watching as a few managed to climb up to where he was.

"AAAARRRGGHH AAGGGGHH AAAAAHHH!"

Takashi yelled for every time he split one of them in two. Sadly, the adrenaline slowly began to lag behind, so fear began to set in as he noticed how his muscles burned with exhaustion.

Takashi's constant panting and screaming suffered a small setback as he took a step back. His eyes squeezed shut tightly and the stabbing pain in his ankle caused him to fall backwards.

His eyes widened in horror as he saw one of those things lunging towards him to eat him, but he managed to react just in time, slicing its head off. The bad thing was that the thing was several kilos too heavy, so the weight that fell on him was too much.

A large amount of blood fell from the severed head onto his face, causing Takashi to close his eyes tightly and start screaming.

A large number of those things managed to reach the top and pounced on him, who was completely helpless.

At that moment, a faint trembling smile emerged on his face.

"¿Am I going to die like this?"

"¿Why did I save the people who hurt me so much at the cost of my life?"

"I could have just left them there..."

Takashi's eyes closed, feeling his life get a revelation in his last moments.

"¿But what am I thinking?"

"You're just like that, don't overthink something so obvious."

"AAAAAAAARGGGHHH AAAAAAAAH, SHIT!"

Takashi's screams were not long in coming as a large amount of blood and guts flew everywhere.

Fujimi Academy

A few minutes later...

Hirano and Saya entered a classroom in a hurry. The chubby boy closed the door tightly and then placed a chair to block the entrance. The two were startled when hands broke the glass panes of the door, so they were quick to move away.

"¿¡What the hell is wrong with them!?" Hirano looked at Saya very agitated.

"¿¡Why are you asking me!?" Saya asked him back just as agitated.

"¡I don't know! ¡You're the genius here!"

"¡Just because I have a brain doesn't mean I'm going to know everything that happens on the fucking planet earth!"

"¡PLACK!"

The argument was pushed aside as a chair was heard to fall. The two watched somewhat startled, but suddenly relaxed when they noticed that it was a woman.

"¿Teacher Misaki?" Saya asked, watching as the teacher slowly recomposed herself with her back to them.

"¿Was you hiding in this classroom? ¿Why didn't you close the door?" Hirano asked somewhat relieved after seeing another seemingly normal person.

The teacher slowly turned around, and the two were shocked to see how half of her jaw was hanging in a grotesque manner.

"¡Fuck me, so she is too!..."

"RRAAARRGGHH!"

Saya closed her eyes tightly as the teacher lunged at her, but Hirano was quicker and grabbed one of the many chairs, giving her a hard punch in the face that ended up ripping her jaw off.

"Jesus Christ..." Hirano let go of the chair as he felt his whole body tremble, since, according to him, he had just killed a person.

Saya just watched him not knowing what to say, but was soon startled as the teacher moved again and clung tightly on Hirano's foot. The poor little fatty fell on his butt in surprise, and his eyes squeezed shut tightly as the thing bit his leg.

Or so it should have been...

Hirano's eyes slowly opened, watching as the woman's disfigured face rubbed against his leg, but in the absence of her jaw, she couldn't bite him. Hirano was startled again as a chair leg pierced her skull.

"This man already has his girlfriend, you idiot." The buxom midget commented with some disgust, as a lot of blood had splattered her.

"Sa-saya..." Hirano didn't know what to say, he could only mention her name.

"¡Hey!" The chubby boy stood up immediately when he noticed the dwarf's furious look. "Don't let one of them hurt you. I don't know how they do it, but somehow they get some kind of disease on you, and I think it's through bites from what I could see." The woman concluded analytically as she looked at the corpse.

"¡Oh, it's like rabies!" Hirano exclaimed, impressing Saya a bit.

"I'm surprised you know how rabies works. But I think this disease is much worse than that..." Saya's surprise changed to seriousness after her final words. "I also don't think we should skimp on the violence. They will not hesitate to do so, and I honestly believe they are dead. At the very least I doubt they have a cure..." Saya began to rub her chin in between her ramblings, not noticing how the surprise in Hirano was slowly turning into a smile.

"¿You see?" Saya snapped out of her little internal debate after listening to Hirano. "We just had a direct encounter with one of them and you found out a lot of things." That made Saya blush and look away.

"¡Well, it's not like it was a big deal! ¡Anyone could guess!" Saya exclaimed with a small smile as she wiped the tip of her nose.

"Yeah, you're awesome." Hirano commented with a goofy grin on his face, knowing that compliments were the dwarf's weak point.

The chatter was interrupted when numerous thumps were heard from outside the classroom, something that caught the two's interest.

"¿Do you think they'll be fighting each other?" Saya shook her head at the question.

"I highly doubt it." The buxom midget replied, approaching the door along with Hirano.

What they could see filled them with joy.

"¡Saeko!" they both shouted at the same time.

Saeko was in the hallway, her foot on the chest of one of the zombies, and she had apparently bashed his head in with the sheath of her katana which was covered in blood, as were certain parts of her clothing.

The woman watched the two in surprise, though a smile quickly appeared on her face.

"¡Guys!" Saeko exclaimed happily as she approached them.

"¿You did all this?" Hirano asked, not being able to hide his surprise when he saw that the hallway was filled with corpses that weren't there before.

"I had no choice." Saeko replied as if it was nothing. "By the way, ¿where is Takashi?" Saeko looked over the two in hopes of seeing her future lover.

"We haven't seen him yet..." Saya replied, though her voice trailed off a bit as she saw how Saeko had a cut that stretched the entire length of her forearm. "¿¡How did you do that!?" Saya said very elated.

"Oh, ¿this? The initial disturbance got me dragged away and I ended up cutting myself on an open locker. Though thankfully that's how I was able to hold on to something without them continuing to drag me." Commented the woman, seeing her wound a bit deep.

"Oh, good thing it's just that..." Saya replied with a great relief, something that confused Saeko.

"Saya has a theory that sick people get you with a bite." Hirano answered Saeko's unasked question after noticing her hesitation.

"I see..." Saeko looked at her wound seriously. "If that's so, then we should find Takashi as soon as possible."

"¡No way!" Both Saeko and Hirano were surprised by Saya's outburst. "¡First we must treat your injuries! ¡Let's go to the infirmary, it's not too far!" Saya started walking, completely ignoring whether she was being followed or not.

"But, Takashi..."

"Don't worry." Saya stopped without even looking at them. "Takashi will be fine."

They could both notice the concern in her tone, but they knew that sooner or later Saeko's injury could hurt her badly, so they decided to save themselves the trouble.

_ LINE BREAK _

Fujimi Academy

A few minutes later...

The corridors of the intermediate floors were somewhat empty, so it was easy to take down all the obstacles. Well... actually, it was easy just because it was Saeko.

Thanks to the various confrontations, Saya was learning more and more, to the point where she was very close to forming a complete hypothesis. Unfortunately, they finally reached the infirmary before she could make it.

"This place is perfect." The two looked at Saya after listening to her. "Two double doors separating the two corridors and enclosing the sound. The third door is the infirmary, so all we have to do is keep quiet." The dwarf's words confused the two.

"¿What do you mean by that?" Hirano asked hesitantly.

"I don't know if you noticed, but those things seem to have lost the ability to see. That's why this is a perfect place, since if we make little noise, they won't find us, unless we face a fluke, but it would only be one." Saya's deductions surprised the two, but they immediately nodded.

"In that case, I'll lock the doors and keep watch. You're the one who knows the most about medicines and stuff." Hirano commented seriously.

"¿Ara?" Everyone turned around as they heard the door to the infirmary open, and were surprised to see Shizuka in perfect condition.

Behind the nurse stood Rei, who looked downcast.

END OF CHAPTER! _

(OR NOT)

I hope you enjoyed it!

Yes, in the next chapter will come an absolute amount of drama with Takashi's "death". As you can see, I have a different fate in mind for Hisashi. The good thing is that the next chapter will be ready in three days, so the wait won't be too long like before.

With nothing more to add, I leave you with this final scene.

Thank you very much for reading!

"I'm covered in blood..."

The sounds of the zombies and their flesh-covered mouths emitted faint muffled, quiet grunts, indicating that there was no prey nearby.

"I have remnants of human flesh, guts, and a lot of unrecognizable things on my body..."

Some zombies were walking on the rooftop, and even some had gone completely still, as if they had already finished their work.

"But that blood and flesh is not from my body..."

Takashi's eyes were wide open. On his body was that fat and stout professor completely unrecognizable, and all around him wandered the ones who caused it.

"How come I'm still alive?"
