Chapter 11

Hello Guys so a little update on some things first : I'm going on vacation on the 31 July don't worry I'll write some chapters to have a database so that I can still publish every week but your suggestions will not be in those chapters for sure.

I'll see this is it guys THE chapter where everything is explained next chapter we travel, so if you don't understand something it's really important to talk to me about it. All of the future chapters will reference this one.

Songzi Guanyin remembered well the discussion she just had with the discussion she just had with Yu-Huang she had to find a way to pass the avatar's friends in the future she had to bring back the avatar to a right state of mind before it was to late. There was one problem : she didn't knew how to do it, she just got her new role to be the time spirit. She had to figure a way to help the Gaang without endangering the timeline and there was only one spirit that knew how to do it : Shiva. One problem : shiva was with Yu-Huang himself and other spirits to find a way to erase his memory, Yu-Huang not being able to destroy he couldn't erase the memory of a spirit, he could take back the abilities of a spirit because it was a gift for himself to the spirit, it was not destroying.

Songzi Guanyin had to find a way to isolate the regent to talk to him about this little problem that she had. She had to discuss with Shiva imperatively before his memory was wiped out. She decided that she had to 'summon' Yu-Huang she was still the maternity spirit and she helped humans, animals but also spirits, the latters had different ways to procreate that is why they always needed help from the spirit of maternity but when a new way to procreate was suggested by a spirit she had to talk to Yu-Huang to see if she was able to do it, he was after all still the spirit of creation. This way of talking to him was very similar as if she was summoning him. So she decided it was best to summon him under a false pretext to make sure he will come to see her.

And it worked the regent chose to postpone wiping out Shiva's memory

"What new technique do you need for me to validate Guanyin ?" Yu-Huang asked "I'm trying to wipe out Shiva's memory you know how urgent this is"

"I am well aware mister Regent but I need to talk to him I summoned you under a false pretext the truth is that I am not familiar enough with my new powers to send the avatar's friends in the future I will need guidance from someone who came before me and knowing that Shiva is the only one that Gōnggōng didn't kill or driven crazy he is the key to make your plan work sir" Songzi responded

Yu-Huang seemed concerned about the fact that she could talk alone with shiva but he had chosen her because he was sure that she wasn't with Gōnggōng , being the maternity spirit she didn't liked a project about destruction, she didn't liked the idea of whipping out humans to create a new world. Yu-Huang knew that she was one the few spirits that he could believe and most of all that he could give her more responsibility and that she would not disappoint him.

But the regent had to set limits, he trusted her but he surely did not trust Shiva "I will give you permission to speak to him but in my presence only."

Songzi Guanyin wasn't happy about that, she had to make the late spirit of time trust her and it surely wasn't in being watched that she would make him trust her. The problem was she couldn't say no to the regent so she chose to nod and respond "I accept but I want you out of his sight I want to make him trust me and I can't do that if I'm being watched by you"

The regent nodded and they decided to head for Shiva's prison Yu-Huang decided that he would stay on the roof this way he could see and hear what was happening inside and Shiva could not see him.

Once they arrived Songzi Guanyin entered and said to the spirits watching the former spirit that she had to talk with him alone and that she was sent by the regent.

"Hello Shiva" she began "I'm sorry for what happened to you. I don't know how you ended up helping Gōnggōng but I hope that this new memory will help you figure a new path."

"I presume you are not here to complain about my fate, are you ?" Shiva asked

Songzi just responded by a negative nod and she began talking again "I need your help to send the avatar's friends in the future I don't have sufficient mastery on my powers to know how to do it and how to not kill them"

Shiva asked "And what makes you think first that I have this kind of knowledge, it was forbidden for me to move people around the timelines, and second even if I knew what makes you think that I want to help you ? Or that I'm not going to betray you ?"

"First I think you had to have this kind of knowledge just in case, and to be clear I know for a fact that you have it, remember the avatar in the future ? And second you have to help me because if what you say about the fact that you didn't wanted to send the avatar in the future, if that part is true then you will do anything to restore the balance. And for the fact of trusting you I don't know if I can but I don't really have any other option, do I ?"

"Fine I'll help you but I want the regent to wipe my memory of last year only. I don't have to be wiped more than this period : I was not on the all liberating thing" Shiva asked obviously frightened about what could happen.

Songzi sighed she didn't knew if she could do that and even if it could be done "Listen I'm not gonna lie I'm not how all of this work what I can tell you is that I can ask to the ruler if he can search for a less brutal punishment maybe a block of memory or a wipe of memory for a certain amount of time but I can't assure you anything. But if you don't help me first I can assure you that the regent will think it's just a ploy to manipulate him and gain more power to finally liberate Gōnggōng I hope you can understand that"

"Fine, I accept your terms. There are a few rules in time travel : the first rule is that there is an age limit : over 40 years old it's not recommended. It can severely damage the human above 60. It's very dangerous : the heart can't support the travel and an older person will die 90% of the time. Second rule : all of the people must know well or very well the person they are attaching to : there is a ruler in the group who by his or her will can carry all the group all the other person in the group must focus on her and she must focus on the happiest moment of her life and if she wants to go find a person on the future then the happiest moment of her life with this person it can help find her. Finally all the people on board must be known. If they are not, they will be all separated at best, if the bond between everyone is strong, in the same timeline. At worst in different timelines."

"Okay thanks for the rules but how do I do it ? Concretely ?" Songzi asked, she was a little annoyed because she could find the rules but not how to time travel.

"For a group I've never done it. But theoretically you have to fuse with the leader of the group and use your powers to make this person travel in time which will automatically make them all travel because of your 2 powers combined. There is a catch : this person once you leave his or her body will be really vulnerable to spirits for a time and then all her life she can be attacked by spirits : you are one of the most powerful beings in the universe so she or he will become more powerful way more powerful and be exposed to the spirits because of the little spiritual part of you that will remain in this person. You must choose really carefully."

Songzi was taking mental notes to remember all of this and she asked "Thanks, is there anything else ?"

"One last thing : I recommend picking not more than 6 or 7 people with you so that you can do the path in both ways easily" Shiva responded

"Thanks I'm taking note of that"
