Several groups of KANSEN were darting across the water across the water at record speed. Their goal was to get to their collective destination as quickly as possible. Their rigging was loaded and ready for battle. Leading the charge was Zuikaku META. Due to her enhancements from becoming a META, the crane was well ahead of her comrades. She could see her comrades behind her were struggling to keep up with her even though they were all moving incredibly quickly. Zuikaku META didn't have time to wait however, her fellow META's were attacking a human fleet not too far from her current location. The longer she took to arrive, the more humans that would die at the hands of the META's that were attacking them.

The META crane kept moving as fast as she could until she saw a fire in the distance and heard the sounds of battle, "There they are!! That's the human fleet!!" Upon seeing and hearing what was happening, the META crane picked up her speed even more to give help to the humans currently under attack. As she got closer, the crane could see the destruction caused by the META's, a destroyer had been split in half and was currently sinking into the depths of the ocean. The fuel that was leaking from said destroyer had caught fire and was burning on the oceans surface. Many bodies of sailors were floating around on the surface, no doubt they had tried to escape their ships destruction but unfortunately the META's must have killed them as they tried to escape. Two other ships were under attack, and the human fleet was doing their best to try to fight off their attackers. Zuikaku META could see three shipgirls firing at the ships and knew these were the ones responsible.

"This can't carry on!! This stops now!!" The crane was disgusted, horrified, and angry with the massacre currently happening in front of her eyes. Zuikaku META decided enough was enough and charged into battle to stop this madness. She launched her enhanced fighters and ordered them to attack the nearest META to her. The attacking META's could see planes heading in their direction and began to switch targets. They stopped firing on the human ships and started shooting at Zuikaku META's planes. They managed to shoot some of them down, but the remaining fighters hit the closest META and caused minor damage. The nearest META ship, Suzuya META, could see that Zuikaku was responsible for the attack and immediately began targeting her in a crazed frenzy. The enraged cruiser was shooting in Zuikaku META's direction, but her attacks were off target. She was simply firing in hopes of hitting her but was having no success.

Behind Suzuya META, Denver META and Kirishima META also began targeting the META crane. Seeing she had the attention of all three of her enemies the crane began to draw them away from the human fleet and towards her allies, hopefully with the numbers in the Azur Lanes advantage they should be able to stop these three from causing anymore death. The three META's carried on following Zuikaku META and carried on firing at her, but with no successful, their shots kept missing the mark, but they didn't care. They simply carried on shooting in hopes of hitting the META crane. In the distance, Zuikaku META could see the Azur Lane approaching, "Not much further now!!" the crane thought. Once she was sure she was close enough, the crane started to turn to get out of the incoming fire. The META's didn't understand what Zuikaku META was doing until fire started coming in their direction. Looking at where the fire was coming from, they could see other KANSEN in the distance. They forgot about the META they were chasing and began to engage the Azur Lane in a vicious firefight.

The groups of KANSEN began to split off and engage the META's individually, Enterprises group began engaging Suzuya META, Bismarck's team began attacking Denver META, and Kirishima META began to come under fire from Queen Elizabeth and her team. The Azur Lane was trying the old classic method, divide and conquer. Their plan was to isolate each META from each other and defeat them. An individual META was still an incredibly dangerous threat. They all knew from past experiences how deadly they were with their enhanced abilities. Neither group could afford to face all of them at once.

Several miles away from the ongoing battle, John was currently on his own frigate, observing the fight. The man had launched a drone and was observing what was going on from said drone. Protecting his frigate was Nagato and her team. They were to act as his protection, but also they were to be reserve if the rest of the Azur Lane needed help during their ongoing fight. On his frigate were several KANSEN who were his support staff, they were helping him with the movement of the ship and directing the weapons on board. Shoukaku and Zuikaku were absent during this time. His wife was currently holding down the Azur Lane, and Zuikaku was picking up Tsubaki from school. Both cranes had wished to come along, but the man didn't want them involved. He also couldn't leave Tsubaki unattended at school where she would be vulnerable.

John kept observing the battle until he shouted out an order, "Lock on to Suzuya META!! Wait until my order!! Then fire!!" John shouted out to the KANSEN on board. The man waited several agonising minutes until a confirmation was heard that Suzuya META was locked on to, John then gave an order to fire, and missiles were fired from his frigate towards the META. Suzuya META was struggling with the numbers against her, Enterprise and her team had caused significant damage to her. The META was contemplating retreating until she could hear something heading in her direction. Suzuya META looked up and could see projectiles coming right towards her at a rapid speed. The META's eyes widened, she didn't have time to react. The missiles made contact, an explosion was heard, and water was splashed everywhere. When the water had cleared , Suzuya META was no longer standing on the surface of the water. She had been destroyed. Seeing that one enemy was down, Enterprise ordered her group to give assistance to Bismarck and her team.

Denver META could see Suzuya META was destroyed, and Enterprise and her team approaching and decided to retreat. However, Bismarck wasn't going to let her go, "Don't let her escape!! Stop her by any means necessary!!" The battleship ordered to the others. Tirpitz along with the rest blocked off Denver META's route of escape, she then tried to turn back but Enterprise and her team had caught up and blocked off her second escape route, she was completely surrounded. "There's nowhere to go, META!! Surrender at once!!" Bismarck ordered Denver META to surrender. The META cruiser looked around for any possible route of escape but found none, Enterprise and the KANSEN she was leading had cut off her only chance of escape.

With a feral scream, the META instead decided to open fire on the surrounding KANSEN in an attempt to create an escape route for herself, "Die!!" Denver META screamed at her enemies. The cruisers attack didn't last long however, every single KANSEN around her decided to return fire. Shells, bullets, and bombs came at her from all directions. The onslaught quickly overwhelmed the META. Within seconds, the combined attack created a huge plume of smoke where Denver META was. Bismarck then ordered everyone to halt their attack and wait to see the results. All the KANSEN waited until the plume of smoke died down to see if the META was still alive. When the smoke had cleared, nothing remained of Denver META. The shipgirl had been completely destroyed.

Seeing her two comrades destroyed by the Azur Lane Kirishima META decided it was best to flee and live to fight another day, the battleship didn't want to suffer the same fate as her fellow META's. Kirishima META decided to create a smokescreen to cover her escape. When the smoke was thick enough, the battleship began to move across the water as fast as she could to escape the Azur Lane. Zuikaku META, however, could see Kirishima META trying to escape and decided to follow her. The META crane knew she couldn't let her escape. Kirishima META possibly had information regarding Tsubaki, and if she disappeared, then the META crane knew she wouldn't be able to find out what she wanted. A chase had begun between the two META's. The META battleship looked behind her to see if she was being followed and could see Zuikaku META behind her and gaining ground on her rather quickly. In an attempt to shake off her pursuer, the battleship kept creating smokescreens and taking potshots at the crane. Zuikaku META however wasn't going to let her enemy escape, despite whatever her fellow META tried the crane wasn't going to give up. Zuikaku META kept getting closer and closer.

When she was certain she was close enough, the META crane summoned her fighters to attack the battleship. Her enhanced fighters began shooting at Kirishima META, several rounds managed to hit the battleship and injure her. This caused the battleship to lose control, and she ended up crashing onto a small island. Seeing her foe now injured and nowhere to go, Zuikaku META quickly but carefully approached the injured battleship. Her planes were ready to be summoned again if her fellow META decided to attack her, Zuikaku META hoped that it wouldn't come to that. Kirishima META had possible information on her niece, and a destroyed KANSEN couldn't say anything.

Once Kirishima META had got her bearings after her crash, the battleship noticed she was bleeding. She had taken several rounds, which had all created open wounds. "Argh!! It hurts!! Dammit!! Why was that META fighting alongside the Azur Lane?! She should be helping us destroy them and the humans!! Why is she doing this?!" The injured battleship couldn't understand why the META she tried to escape from was helping the Azur Lane. Kirishima META tried to think of an explanation, but her thoughts were disturbed when she could feel Zuikaku META right behind her. Turning around, the battleship could see her enemy with her hand out. The META crane was ready to launch her planes if she needed to.

"You!! Why are you helping the Azur Lane?! Don't you know who they are protecting?! They are protecting the humans!! The same humans that betrayed us!! They will be betray you too!! So why are you helping them?! Answer me!!" The injured battleship demanded answers from Zuikaku META as to why she was fighting alongside the Azur Lane and protecting the humans. "I'm fighting alongside the Azur Lane because I need their help, I'm looking for someone. I don't care as much for the humans as you think I do, as long as they don't try to harm me or my loved ones, I have no quarrel with them. About who I'm looking for, it is my niece, Tsubaki is her name. She was taken from me by the Sirens not too long ago, Sirens that I imagine you and the rest of your kind are working together with. You wouldn't be attacking humans if you weren't working together. So my guess is you know something about her, where is she?" Zuikaku META answered Kirishima META's question then replied with her own.

Kirishima META didn't know what the crane in front of her meant at first until she remembered who the Sirens had brought for their leader, Shoukaku META. Upon remembering, the injured META then began to laugh manically. She knew exactly who her fellow META described. "Oh I know exactly who you are on about!! The Sirens brought her right to our leader!! The girl is ours now!! You will never find her!!" Kirishima responded when she finished laughing. "So you do have her!! Where is she?! And who is your leader?! Tell me now!!" Zuikaku META's voice bellowed out and carried a threatening edge to it. The crane wanted to know where her niece was and who was the leader of the META's attacking humans. They were the one who had the half-KANSEN in their grasp. Kirishima META didn't reply. The injured battleship instead brought up her weapon, and Zuikaku META believed she was about to attack. However, what happened next shocked the crane. Instead of attacking her, the battleship pointed her weapon at herself. Zuikaku META could see what Kirishima META was about to do and tried to stop her. The META crane wasn't quick enough. The battleship fired her weapon, and she was engulfed in an explosion.

The crane shielded her eyes from the flash of the blast and the incoming debris, Zuikaku META did this until she was sure it was safe to open them again. When the META crane opened her the eyes she was met with a horrific sight, a crater had formed in the ground and the only thing that remained in said crater was the weapon that Kirishima META had turned on herself. The battleship was no more. She had destroyed herself. Zuikaku couldn't believe what the META battleship had done. She had destroyed herself so that the META crane wouldn't get the answers that she wanted. "But at least Tsubaki is alive, and these META's are working with the Sirens. John will need to know about this. We need to think of a plan on how to stop them. But who is leading them? And why do they want Tsubaki? I need to find out who their leader is and where they are." The META thought to herself on what to do next. She had to get out of here and find John who was aboard his ship. He would definitely want to know this information. With her plan of action decided Zuikaku META looked at the crater before speeding off to report to John on what she had discovered.

Unknown to the META crane and all the other KANSEN, someone had just seen all the events of the battle that had taken place. Staying perfectly concealed was a lone Siren. This lone Siren had just witnessed the destruction of the three META's that her kind was working with. The Siren had also seen Zuikaku META and wondered why a META was working alongside the Azur Lane. The Siren couldn't compute it. All the other META's that she knew of were working alongside her kind to destroy the humans. She didn't understand why this META was doing the exact opposite. The Siren realised it was best to leave for now and report this to Predator at the earliest opportunity. Her leader might know the reason why this META was fighting against other META's. The Siren opened up a portal and stepped into it, disappearing completely...
