Aleatha
I had just left my home in Seattle when I receive a call. I glanced down at my phone. It was my friend Dia who also served on the Emerald Enclave Council with me.
"Hello," I heard a sigh of relief, "thank goodness you answered the phone. We have a huge problem."
"What's wrong, Dia?" I sat on the steps to my house.
"I just received a call from Edgar. There was a vampire army being built down in Seattle. Well a coven in Washington took care of them, but it looks like the Volturi broke their treaty with us." What?
"What did they do?" I asked.
"A newborn hadn't done what the mastermind of the vampire army wanted her to. So the Cullen coven in Forks gave her asylum. The Volturi decided that wasn't the covens place to do that and killed her." I grit my teeth.
"Great. Just great. I bet Edgar is pissed. Not to mention the complaints I received because of the newborns. It makes sense now. I've been working these disappearances in Seattle. The supernatural community is worried. Now that it's gotten out that the Volturi killed an innocent, Edgar is going to want blood," I pinch the bridge of my nose, "I'll take care of this. Thanks for the heads up Dia. I'll head to Forks as soon as I can. Then I'll head to Italy."
"You be safe, you hear me?" I smiled.
"Loud and clear, Dia. Talk later." I hung up.
Forks, Washington, here I come.
Alice
The vase in my hands fell to the floor. I saw the woman who I once saw with Jasper. She was in the clearing where the newborn battle took place. The image changed and I saw her in Bella's house. Then in ours. Finally, I saw her and Jasper meeting followed by flashed of them in Italy. Jasper was by my side.
"Alice? Who is she?" I snapped out of it and looked up at Edward.
The look in Edward's eyes told me he saw everything. He looked surprised. Not a surprise there. I had done very well to hide the fact that I lied to the family about Jasper being my mate.
Please don't say anything, Edward.
All he did was nod. I felt relieved. Then I answered his question.
"I don't know. She's not a vampire yet she is coming here to investigate the vampire battle. I don't see any danger from her being here yet, but I don't know what she is. She's definitely not human." Jasper wrapped his arms around me.
"How long do we have before she arrives?" I shook my head.
"Not long. She'll arrive today. You shouldn't leave Bella by herself. We don't know what threat she poses. You should also get ahold of Jacob. Have him tell Sam someone is snooping around the field where we fought the newborns. I fear with her arrival we may need all the help we can get." I felt Jasper using his gift to ease my fear.
However this fear isn't just fear. It's anger, possessiveness, and disgust.
I will ensure Jasper stays mine forever and that Jasper and this woman never meet. He is mine.
