Chapter 13:Old Friends

Percy's POV
Reyna and I had filled the legionnaires in about the message and Mars Ultor had come to earlier to address them about all that I had done as a Greek. Most of the legion was content with meeting the Greeks as was I, but I told them to be ready I did not expect something from them but we must always be prepared they understood this and continued training. Reyna and I had sparred countless times in the days preparing for their arrival. We had countless talks at night and through the day when we were'nt busy, and Reyna asked me questions about all my life as a Greek I obliged and answered every one of her questions. At least until she had more later. It was great I trained a lot sparred with a few others and practiced my earth and storm powers on the field of Mars finally getting a stronger grasp of them which I was happy about. All the legion knew of me and Reyna unless they lived under a rock. They all saw us walking and talking together holding hands doing things that couples do. Frank and Hazel had also officially started dating and the fifth was as excited as anyone about it.
The day had finally come the Greeks were arriving one of the watchers spotted them flying in. The legion was prepared, getting in perfect formation on the field of Mars awaiting them. Once assembled Percy and Reyna along with the centurions waited at the front for the ship to arrive. (The Praetors had on their official uniform you could say, to show they were the leaders).I grabbed Reynas hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze and i watched a bit of the nervousness subside from her features. She looked at me and asked "are you ready to see them again." I chuckled responding "not in the slightest but we will se how this goes.
By the way all the cabin councilers came on the ship with the seven from the Greek camp, but Chiron is still at Camp Half Blood.
Annabeth's POV
I stood at the prow of the Argo 2 with the rest of the crew. I was nervous to say the least, Clarrise and Piper saw this and came to comfort me. Piper said " don't worry Annabeth this will go fine." I'm not worried about how this will go with the Romans i'm worried how this will gowith Percy" I said. Clarrise laughed and said " If Prissy found someone else then I will beat him and whoever his little girlfriend is into the dirt" despite what was happening this made me smile. I had good friends who would help me through this.
As we started to descend I saw New Rome in all of its glory just as Jason had described it. The architecture had me in awe and then I saw the Romans. They were standing in formation in full armor with weapons none drawn though which eased my worry a bit. Then i saw him. Standing with 11 other kids all in armor, but what was weird was he and the girl he was standing next to had Togas on. Then I saw something that made me take a step back Piper looked at me worriedly and clarrise growled saying "I see the problem, seems like I need to teach Prissy a lesson. But why is he in his bedsheets?" Jason overheard this and laughed for a second before Clarrise's stare stopped him in his tracks before he answered saying "its the mark of praetorship" he said gestuing to himself who also had on a toga. "PERCY'S praetor" i practically screamed at him. "It seems so" he replied. "Who is that beside him" I wondered a loud with a slight edge to me voice. Jason looked down to see who she was talking about before saying "Oh her thats just Reyna shes the other praetor." At hearing Reyna's name Piper walked over to Jason and wrapped herself in his arms before he whispered something to her I couldn't hear.
Once we landed I was able to see Percy's face clearly and it was a mask I had no idea what he was feeling which scared me because he was always a wears his heart on his sleeves type of guy. I wondered how much he had changed, I really hoped he didn't remember the last thing he had overheard me say. As we stepped off the ship Reyna tooka step forward followed by the others and she said " Welcome Greeks and Prator Grace we will have a meeting in the senate hall if you would please follow me" with that she turned and along with Percy and the other walked to a beautiful building. I had wanted to talk with Percy but I guess I would just have to wait.
Percy's POV
Once we had entered the senate me and Reyna took our setas in the middle and the centurions and senators took a seat on one side while the Greeks sat on the other. As soon as we were all situated i stood up and started the conversation in a voice that had no emotion all business saying "I suppose we should exchange stories of what happened at the two camps since the switch." I started off sharing my quest (leaving out the change that had occurred) while Reyna talked about the whole Octavion issue. Jason seemed shocked by this news. Once Reyna sat down Jason stood up and told us about his quest. After Jason was finished Annabeth stood up and said "So Percy are you ready to come back to the Greeks… your family" I sent a glare at her which made her flinch before saying " I am not Greek anymore, I am no longer a son of Poseidon but one of Neptune now". She looked at me saying "what do you mean? You are fully greek even your sword is" I smiled evily at her before pulling out my pen before out came my beautiful gladius. She looked shocked for minute before saying "what is that" I responded saying "this is Aestus It means Tide in latin. My father transformed Riptide into this for me. When my father and Lady Juno came to me and asked if I wanted to be Roman I answered yes. He changed my blood from his greek forms to his Roman forms. I have no greek blood in my, I am fully Roman. Annabeths eyes widened in shock at what she had just been told before they softened and she asked "Was it because of me" I shook my head saying "not compleetly I found a new family here but what happened between us was a bit of a motivator to change" Her eyes narrowed in anger and her face took on a red hue before she said "we have one little fight and you leave" I closed my eyes for a moment sending a prayer to a certain goddess and a second later there is a bright flash and there stands Lady Vesta. Everybody gets down and kneels to her except me, she looks at me expectantly and i walk over and give her hug. "Hello my Hero, its been a while" I smile before replying "yes it has. I was wondering if you could do me a favor and show them one of my memories?" She smiled her warm smile before saying "That's why you called me, for a favor you didn't simply want to see your favorite aunt?" she asked jokingly. I responded "I wanted to see you of course but the favor was a bit of an incentive to ask for your presense." In my mind I asked her to show them all my last memory at Camp Half Blood. She nodded at me before saying to the group gathered "Perseus has asked me to hsare his last memory at Camp Half Blood or to the Romans the Greek Juno was able to directly broadcast the memory into your minds I cannot do that, I will be using the hearth to show you Perseus's memory." Annabeth let out a little squeak which everybody heard. Clarrisse looked at her menacingly and asked "were you hiding something from us" Annabeth pales at this, but regains her composure enough to say "lets just watch the memory" Lady Vesta waved her hand and the hearth appeared in front of her then the vision started.
After the vision
3rd Person POV
Everybody (except for Reyna) was looking between Percy and Annabth in shock for two different reasons. For Percy it was because of his display of raw power, and for Annabeth it was because she had hidden the fullness of the fight to them. Annabeth stood up from her seat and walked over to Percy who's face was an emotionless mask and reared her hand back to slap him only to be stopped by Reyna who said " I woudln't touch one of Romes Praetors if you hope to leave here alive" All while saying this Reyna was galring daggers at the other girl. Reyna released her hand and Annabeth backed away and composed herself before saying to Percy "this is who you have replaced me with!" Percy shook his head at her before saying "when did jealousy overtake you? You are a daughter of Athena think with your brain not your heart and you will see you are being stupid." Annabeth stared at him aghast "when had he become so smart" she thought aloud. Before it could escalate further Percy adjourned the meeting before walking off with Reyna to the little tiber.
