Chapter 2:

"So, now that book is somewhere where anyone can use it," asks Dee Dee.

"Yep," says Captain Caveman.

"Can we do something else," asks Brenda, "like...watch 'Are you Scared'?"

"That's my least favorite gameshow," says Taffy.

. . .

"It's time to play everyone's least favorite game show..."

ARE YOU SCARED?

"And here's your host, Peter Potamus!"

"Thanks, Unseen Announcer Guy," says Peter, "Peter Potamus here and let's meet our contestants. He's a mad scientist cat who got himself turned into a snake-cat, Dr. Viper! He's a radioactive monster, Duke Nukem! He's a puppy who is not very popular, Scrappy-Doo!"

"Did you have to mention that," asks Scrappy.

"Now, to win, you have to be not scared," says Peter.

"Nothing scares Dr. Viper!"

"Let's see the first image," says Peter.

It's an image of a bride.

"Marriage," asks Dr. Viper. He then runs away screaming and leaves a Dr. Viper shaped hole in a wall.

"And Dr. Viper's out," says Peter, "what about you guys?"

"Who'd wanna marry a walking form of radiation," asks Duke, "she'd run from me."

"And I'm too young anyway," says Scrappy.

"Alright, let's see the next image," says Peter.

"Bring it on," says Duke.

It's an image of a high school.

"High School," asks Duke. He then runs away screaming, leaving a Duke Nukem shaped hole in a wall.

"So that's what high school looks like," says Scrappy, "hey, does this mean I win?"

"Looks like it," says Peter, "our winner, Scrappy-Doo!"

"Scrappy-Dappy-Doo! I ain't afraid of anything."

"Cindy give our winner a kiss," says Peter.

"What," asks Scrappy, "I'm out of here!" Scrappy then runs, leaving a Scrappy-Doo shaped hole in the wall.

"And that's our show," says Peter, "see you next time!"

. . .

Scooby-Doo and the Gang were on their way to the big Jellystone Park Halloween Party.

"You guys ready," asks Fred.

"I can't wait for the party," says Daphne.

"Scoob and me can't wait for the food," says Shaggy.

"Yeah, food," says Scooby.

"Anyone notice Scooby's been a lot easier to understand lately," says Velma.

"Hey, she's right," says Fred.

"Now that you mention it," says Daphne.

"Never noticed before," says Shaggy.

"People couldn't understand me before," asks Scooby, "how'bout that?"

. . .

Ranger Smith was getting the party ready.

"Hey, Mr. Ranger, is it too late for me to join in," asks Yogi.

"Yogi, I don't want any trouble from you," says Ranger Smith.

"I'll be good," says Yogi, "I promise."

Ranger Smith thinks about it. "Alright, but don't steal the food."

"You won't regret this," says Yogi, "I even already have my costume."

"Really, what is it," asks Ranger Smith.

"The scariest guy I know." Yogi is dressed as Ranger Smith.

"Well, you sure are a sharp looking bear," says Ranger Smith, "now, any trouble and I'll remind you why I'm the scariest guy you know."

"If I cause any trouble, I could always punish myself in this costume," says Yogi.

. . .

The Quest Family were on their way.

"This will be a nice break from all the adventures we go on," says Dr. Quest.

"Unless we run into a witch," says Race, joking.

"I got my costume ready," says Jonny, "I'm Birdman!"

"I... I have a feeling something is not going to go right," says Haji, "but I don't know what it is."

Haji was right, for the Mystery Machine has arrived and on the roof is the Book of Shazzan!
