Six years ago, Cody was taken to Mt. Rushmore where he ended up in a cell for a long, long time. After that, he was let out. It had been six years since he was let out of the cell. He had learned his lesson, at least I'd like to think so. Being in a cell for a long time could give a person some time to self-reflect, and Cody did do some of that while he was in the cell. He realized that having absolute power wasn't necessary to live a happy life, but he realized it too late as people now kept a close eye on almost everything he did. Almost no one trusted him anymore. Luckily, Hazel, Professor Mark and Professor Meena were willing to give him another chance.
But I don't think it would change much for the situation with people in general.
Being an outcast, Cody was forced to live in the African savannah. There was no civilization there, just wild animals. The people in the villages wouldn't accept him either, and he couldn't say he blamed them. At least no one would be able to get to or think to look for him in the wild.
Meanwhile, a brown male lion was walking slowly towards the African plains. He had a scar on his face and green eyes, and he looked down. Cody noticed the lion's expression and said "He looks down, just like me. Maybe if he eats me, that'll bring him a bit of happiness..." half-jokingly. He regretted his actions and wanted to die. The lion then saw him, before approaching towards him. Honestly, he couldn't really care what happens to him that much anymore. He became so depressed that nothing that would give a person happiness would make him happy anymore. Not even being alive. Cody sighed, before he let himself fall on the ground. He figured he would just shoot the lion if it tried attacking him. But surprisingly, it didn't. Curious, the lion looked at Cody.
"You can stop looking now. Dude... j-just kill me. I've practically got nothing to live for anymore." Cody said weakly, then the lion replied "You okay?" "Does it look like I'm okay?!" Cody grumbled. "Alright, dumb question..." the lion added. Cody then sighed again, before sitting up and placing his head between his knees. "Hey, you sure you're okay?" the lion asked once more. If you're wondering how Cody and the lion can understand each other, it's that Cody has a translator in one of his pockets. It allows him to translate the languages of other living beings including animals.
"So, what's your name?" Cody asked, "Kovu, you?" the lion replied. "Cody." Cody replied back weakly. "So... care to tell me what happened?" Kovu added, "You wouldn't believe it." Cody replied. "Wh-What?" Kovu asked confused, then Cody added "I live here now. People don't like me anymore. And for all the right reasons. I became a villain six years ago. -But even if it was only for a brief time, it still cost me my entire life.". Kovu then looked at Cody sympathetically, before replying "Well, I was just exiled from a pride for something I didn't do.". "Lemme guess, the Pridelands?" Cody asked, he had heard all about it at this point. "Yeah." Kovu added.
"Welp, now it's your turn to tell me what happened." Cody went on. Kovu then answered "I was exiled from the Pridelands after King Simba thought I was the one who led him to the Outsiders' ambush.". "The Outsiders?" asked Cody, "My former pride." Kovu added. "What made you leave?" Cody asked on, "While I was out with King Simba, he told me the story of my foster father Scar and how he turned the Pridelands into a barren wasteland back then. I guess everyone must still be trumatized or something from that." Kovu replied.
"Th-That still dosen't answer my-" Cody tried to add, but then Kovu added "Wait, let me finish. While we were out, the Outsiders attacked. And one by one, they tried to take down King Simba. Of course they lost, Simba is huge. After he escaped from them and I returned to the Pridelands, he exiled me. He didn't believe that I had nothing to do with the ambush.". "O-Oh..." was all Cody could say.
Cody then looked at Kovu, then he looked at the sky. It was red. "Welp, I better get moving then. Can't stay here forever." said Cody, before he stood up and left. "See you then." replied Kovu, "Yeah..." Cody just said back weakly.
Some time later...
Cody went into a hill. There, he saw Kovu again. But this time, with a lioness. He knew who she was, but she wasn't going to interrupt her or Kovu. This seemed to be a private moment for them. The lioness' name was Kiara, she is Simba's daughter. After Simba exiled Kovu, he forbid Kiara from ever seeing him again. But Kiara ran away in tears to find him. And now that he found him, they could spend some alone time together. Cody had no problem with that, but seeing them together reminded him that he was still alone. And with that, he left with his head hanging low again.
Meanwhile, a familiar face watched Cody from a higher hill. -It was Maddie! She continued watching Cody as he walked away. She felt a little bit sorry for him, but she knew what he did and couldn't fully bring herself to fully forgive him yet. And I don't blame her. But there was a part of her that kept reminding her that it wasn't entirely Cody's fault for what he did. And he did show remorse for his actions a little while later after he was put in that cell. She watched Cody disappear into the distance. She felt terrible for him, but knew that this was the best for him as well. Living in a place where he wouldn't be able to hurt anyone. He didn't care much about animals. With that, she disappeared leaving a spark of electricity once more.
Cody walked for a few more seconds, before lying down on the grass. He remembered Professor Mark, Professor Meena and Hazel. He wanted to go back to the familiar town he once called home, but he was no longer welcome there. They were the only people who could forgive him. But the others? They definitely won't.
Even more time later...
The Outsiders started moving towards the Pridelands, Simba had assembled his pride to fight against them. Then, they met on a rocky place while it was raining.
"It's over, Simba! I have dreamed of nothing else... -for years!"
"Last chance Zira, go home!"
"I am home!"
FLASH!
"Attack!"
ROAAARRR!
ROAAARRR!
Both Simba's and Zira's prides started charging towards one another. What was unusual was that Cody was in Simba's pride! He figured he'd do something good for once, and he figured he'd start by defeating the lions who were loyal to Scar and would bring ruination to the Pridelands if they won. Neither Scar nor his followers including Zira actually knew how to manage a kingdom, so ruination was guaranteed if the Outsiders won. They would overhunt and turn the Pridelands into a barren wasteland just like the hyenas and Scar did in the past.
ROAAARRR!
ROAAARRR!
SLASH!
BAM!
CHOMP!
"Go for the eyes!"
SLASH!
"Break their jaws!"
BAM!
"Hit them low! Get them! Do what you must!"
ROAAARRR!
CHOMP! SLASH! SLASH!
ROAAARRR!
The Pridelanders and the Outsiders fought to the death, Cody tried fending off as many Outsiders as he could with the blaster that had been given to him by Professor Mark for self-defense. But it wasn't enough, there were too many Outsiders. And they were strong and agile! "D-Dammit! Th-These guys are too strong!" shouted Cody, before he moved to a safer spot and fired from there.
"What do we do?! What do we do?!"
"There's only one thing we can do Pumbaa! When the going gets tough, the tough get going. That's our motto!"
"I thought our motto was Hakuna Matata."
"Pumbaa stop levelin' into the past. We need a new motto. Yeehaw!"
"YAAH!"
ROAAARRR!
"AAAHHH!"
"AAAHHH!"
"Like I said let's get goiiing!"
Cody was finding it hard to get a good aim on the Outsiders as they were all over the place. Meanwhile, two certain lions were running towards the direction of the battle. -It was Kovu and Kiara! Just then...
"Hahahahaha!"
ROAAARRR!
"Simba... -you're mine!"
ROAAARRR!
SLASH!
ROARRR!
SLASH!
"Agh!"
Zira watched with two other lionesses as Simba was piled on and attacked by the other Outsiders. Then, she leapt down from the rock she was standing on before saying "Simba... -you're mine!". Once she got close enough to him, she swiped at him with her paw hard. This made both the Pridelanders and the Outsiders stop fighting for a few seconds. Their leaders were about to have a one-on-one battle.
Grrr...
ROAR!
Grrr...
Grrr...
ROAAARRR!
ROAAARRR!
Zira tried to find a good position to jump Simba, but Simba kept his guard up. Just then, they both raised their claws up ready to swipe at each other. Then
FLASH!
ROAR!
ROAR!
It was Kiara and Kovu! They both jumped in front of their parents just in time to stop them from having an all-out fight. Even if only temporarily.
"Kovu! Move."
"Stay out of this!"
"The wise king once told me... we are one. I didn't understand that at first but... now I do."
"But they..."
"Them? Us. Look at them, what differences do you see?"
"Umm, first of all their muzzles are longer. Secondly, they have a leaner and agile build. Thirdly, THEY JUST TRIED TO KILL THE PRIDELANDERS! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU DEFENDING THEM?!"
"You don't understand, Cody."
"I don't understand?! -I DON'T UNDERSTAND?! -YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! THESE PSYCHO PREDATORS TRIED TO KILL THE PRIDELANDERS AND YOUR FATHER! Kiara, you can't be this naive!
"You're even weaker than I thought. Get out of the way!"
"You'll never hurt Kiara! -Or Simba! Not while I'm here."
"-KILL THEM ALL!"
Kiara tried to convince her father to call off the war, but Cody was right. She was being naive. She thought this would all be solved by a simple peacemaking. But the truth couldn't be farther from that. The Outsiders have been banished to the Outlands for a long time, their lives became horrible and they had to live off of termites, other bugs, what little meat that could be found there and dirty water. They wanted to kill Simba and the Pridelanders for sending them there. Meanwhile, Kovu stood guard and watched Zira so she wouldn't make a move against Simba.
"Vitani, now!" Zira commanded, Vitani roared before lunging towards Simba. "YAAH!" shouted Cody as he sent Vitani flying onto the ground using his body. "Oomph!" said Vitani as she fell. Cody's blaster had ran out of battery. It was self recharging, but it would take a while before it would be charged again. So he resorted to using his body and thinking of whatever he could use on his suroundings. He saw some sticks and some rocks. Then, an idea formed in his head. "Be right back, cover me!" he said, before rushing over to get them.
Zira led her lions to the Pridelanders once more. Kiara and Kovu tried to stop the war from starting again, but two lions couldn't stop two whole prides from battling each other. Zira bit and clawed at Simba, bloodlust in her eyes. Simba tried to catch her, but she was too quick and agile. Zira then managed to swipe him in his stomach.
SLASH!
ROOOAAARRR!
Simba let out a roar of pain, before he stepped back. Then, Zira tackled him. She tried biting his neck, but only got a mouthful of mane. Simba then shook her off before pinning her to the ground. Then, he started swiping at her face.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
ROAAARRR!
The Outsiders then attacked Simba again, trying to get him off Zira. But Simba was able to fight them easily because of his size and strength. He even managed to kill a couple of them.
Meanwhile, Cody started striking two rocks together. They were rough, so they produced sparks. It had stopped raining, so if a fire appeared it wouldn't be put out. With one last strike, Cody managed to make a fire. He then picked a stick from the pile of sticks he had made, it was flaming on the end. He had made a torch that was at least somewhat suitable for combat. "AAAHHH!" Cody screamed like Tarzan as he rushed towards Zira and the Outsiders.
FWOOSH! FWOOSH!
ROAR!
FWOOSH!
"Back off!"
Cody swung the torch around. This made the Outsiders back up, they knew how dangerous fire could be. Just then, Zira pounced on Cody and made him accidentally drop the torch. "H-Hey!" he said. Then, Zira pinned him to the ground before she started mauling him.
ROAR! ROOOAAARRR!
"AAAHHH!"
Cody screamed as he was being mauled. Simba and the other Pridelanders tried to help him, but the Outsiders prevented them from doing so. "We gotta do something!" said Kovu as he looked at Kiara. Kiara nodded, before she and Kovu tried to fend off the Outsiders. They tried their best, but failed because they were only two lions.
It took a while for the battle between Simba, Kiara, Kovu, Cody, the Pridelanders, Zira and the Outsiders to finish. But once it was over, Simba, Cody, Kiara, Kovu and the Pridelanders had won. Of course not without casualties. There were dead Pridelanders in the battlefield, but so were dead Outsiders. Cody started breathing heavily, Zira messed him up real bad. Luckily, he had some healing potions that Professor Mark gave him. He used one of those to heal himself. "Ahh, much better." he said, before getting back up. Then, he looked around. The surroundings were depressing, and the dead bodies weren't helping either. And with that, the battle between Simba, Kiara, Kovu, Cody, the Pridelanders, Zira and the Outsiders was over. Zira had died from being crushed by some logs that were flowing on rushing water, and that was a lot to take in for Kovu.
Some time later...
Kovu had been banished, never to be seen again. Kiara was saddened by this, and she stayed in one corner of Pride Rock crying. Meanwhile, Cody looked out at the dark clouds. The rain had stopped, but it was still depressing. Well, at least he did something good for once. And the balance would remain in the Pridelands. However, he would never forget the depressing things that happened while he was fighting with the Pridelanders. And with that, he got up and left. He felt like he needed to stay away from the Pridelands for a while, he was sure that everyone would feel some sort of negative emotion in some way just like him. Meanwhile, he was also thinking about going back to civilization. But he quickly brushed off the idea, no one would want him back anyway. He knew they'd never give him another chance. And honestly, he couldn't blame them.
Cody disappeared into the distance as the clouds grew darker.
