Chapter 7
After a few minutes, Connor found himself inside an interrogation room; inside the police station. He was sitting at a table, thinking about how Freddy was able to frame Wendy of assault. He was so angry, he wanted to beat him into a pulp. A police officer opened a door, walked up to the table and sat down in front of Connor.
"What have you people done with Wendy?" says Connor. "Sir, calm down. Your friend isn't being harmed, she is just sleeping." The police officer turned on a recorder and says: "Can you state your name for the record?" "Connor Adam." "So, can you tell me what happened earlier this evening?" Connor took a deep breath before giving his statement.
"Well, there was me, Wendy and Freddy. We finished college, he just told us that he passed his driving test and he invited us to his house. He drove us there, introduced us to his mum, before she decided to go to the store. The three of us were alone, Freddy walked upstairs and came back with a gun." "What did he do with the gun?"
"He pointed it at my face and threatened to kill me, if Wendy didn't call her parents." "Why would he want to see her parents?" "Because he said his dad is Red Talbot." The police officer looked confused before saying: "You mean the guy who died in the car crash?" "Yes. He blamed Wendy and her parents for his death."
"Ok. Can you tell us about the Werewolf?" "Yes. Red Talbot made Wendy and her mum into Werewolves, she saw I was in danger so she turned into a Werewolf to save my life. I called the police, you lot showed up and not only did you arrest Freddy, but you also arrested Wendy. So, I told you everything I know, so can you tell me why did you arrest Wendy?"
"Yes sir, I can." The police officer showed a picture of the gun and says: "Is this the gun Freddy was using?" "Yes, so?" "It's a fake gun." Connor's eyes widened and he says: "What? How is that a fake?" The police officer showed a picture of the briefcase and says: "The gun is a replica of a Albert-01 from Resident Evil 7. It was made by Tokyo Marui."
"Ok. But what about what I said about Red Talbot?" says Connor. "Even if what you said is true, Freddy has technically committed no crime." "What?! So what about Wendy?!" "Well, even if you testified against Freddy, there's no evidence to support your claim. So unfortunately, the Werewolf is gonna be charged with first degree assault." The police officer turned off the recorder and stood up.
Connor felt like the world was turned upside down. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He didn't want Wendy to go to the Monster Detention Centre for a crime she didn't commit. "Wait, isn't there something that can be done about this?" says Connor. "Well, I can call a defence attorney that can help you. He's actually the guy who dealt with Red Talbot."
Connor stood up and says: "Well, he just might be the one person who can fix this mess."
