Chapter 8
Connor was sitting in a waiting room, waiting for the defence attorney to arrive. "Connor?" He looked up and saw his mum rushing towards him. "Mum?" They both hugged each other and Connor's mum says: "I came as soon as I could. What happened? Are you hurt?" "No mum, I'm fine." "Then why are you in here? What's going on?"
"I could ask you both the same thing." They both turned around and saw Freddy's mum standing behind them. "Who are you?" says Connor's mum. "I'm Freddy's mum. I got a call saying my son got arrested, I don't even know why." A police officer walked in the room, Freddy also walked in whilst wearing handcuffs. The officer took the handcuffs off and gave Freddy's mum a piece of paper.
"Can you sign this please?" "Hold on, why was my son arrested?" "Don't worry, it was just a misunderstanding. He was playing with a toy gun." Connor wanted to say what really happened, but he knew nobody would believe him. "I'm so sorry mum," says Freddy. "It's ok. You're not hurt, are you?" Freddy shook his head and the police officer taps him on the shoulder.
"Sir? There's going to be a trial in a few days. Do you think you'll be able to testify?" Freddy nods and says: "I think I can do that." Freddy and his mum both walked out of the police station. Connor sat back down and covered his face with his hands. His mum sat next to him and says: "Connor? What happened?" Connor looks at his mum and says: "You won't believe me mum. No one else will."
"But we will." Connor and his mum looked over and saw Leo and Jennifer standing in front of them. She was in her Werewolf form. "Are you the defence attorney?" says Connor. "Yes. But I'm also Wendy's dad," says Leo. "We came as soon as we got a phone call. Where's Wendy?" says Jennifer. Connor stood up and says: "Wendy's being charged for first degree assault."
Both Leo and Jennifer gasped, she then started to cry. He placed his arms around her before saying: "I don't believe this. Ok, start from the beginning and tell us everything. Please?"
