Adrien fell on his bed, exhausted. Hawkmoth had been relentless lately, at times sending out akuma several times per day. Adrien sighed, staring up at the ceiling. Would this ever be over? Would he and Ladybug ever beat Hawkmoth? So many times had been a butterfly's wing to defeating him, but he slipped through every time.
And the longer Hawkmoth spread terror throughout Paris, the longer Cat and Ladybug had to wait to reveal to each other who they really were. A wall between us, Adrien thought, his eyes gradually growing heavy, then slipping closed.
Adrien woke to cool morning air and mist, his shirt wet from the dew upon the ground. He sat up, wondering where he was. "Cat?" A voice croaked, coming from the other side of a boulder wall. He instantly knew that voice. It was M'lady's. "Bugaboo, what happened?" "Hawkmoth tossed you to the other side off the wall. You must of blacked out because when I called you, you didn't answer."
Adrien wanted to punch the ground. Of course the coward and turned tail and ran. "Are you hurt?" he called back. He felt so tired, so very tired. "I'm fine, Kitty. I just want to hold your hand. Ca-"
Cat leaped up, ignoring his injuries. "Ladybug! What's going on!" "Hawkmoth-" her voice were choked off, and Cat felt a sob rising in his throat. This was thousand times worse then any villain, and he hated being blind, not knowing what took place on the other side.
He looked down, seeing that half of his body was still in civilian clothes, but his arms and downwards wore his beloved Cat suit. Cat had a idea, but would it work?
Summoning his courage, Adrien struggled to his knees, saying a simple word. "Cataclysm." There was a loud rumbling and the boulder wall begin to break into small rocks, freeing Cat.
But he couldn't celebrate yet. Hawkmoth held Ladybug in his arms. "Let her go, and fight me!" Adrien growled.
"Very well, but you will have the guts to fight your own father?" Adrien gasped, waking from the bad dream.
The dream was a catastrophe, but even so they heroes had been brave, and if given the chance, they would fight evil, even if it meant Adrien's father, every step of the way.
