AN: Don't own it, just walking through.

Happy was a man on a mission when he got back to the clubhouse. Quickly scanning around he luckily found Juice already at his makeshift computer station.

"Juice, I need information," Happy said sitting next to the younger man. Juice gave him a glance but pulled up his search tools, deciding not to question the enforcer.

"On what or who?"

"Jimmy and Billy O'Connell, they work for Quality Movers." Happy looked around the clubhouse again trying to decide who else could help him.

It took Juice nearly twenty minutes to get all the information he could. In that time Happy ran through multiple scenarios in his head of how he could do this. Depending on if they had any affiliations, records, etc, he would have to handle it differently. In no way did he want this to blow back on Helena. He didn't think the manager would be an issue, but he would keep an eye on it. In his experience, most businesses didn't want to deal with shit like this because it was bad press and bad press meant less business.

"Ok, these guys both have records. Possession of controlled substances, intent to sell, simple assault, and simple battery," Juice rattled off. Happy's temper flared at the list, knowing that there was escalations to the assault and battery that wasn't listed.

"Affiliations?"

"Ah…some Nord connections," Juice said giving a look to Happy. "What did these guys do?"

Happy grimaced, not knowing how to describe Helena. "Tried to assault my girl who is a single mom."

Juice gave him a blank look. Happy never claimed women, and to his knowledge didn't have friends who were girls. But the enforcer had a reputation for being fiercely protective of his personal life.

"What are you gonna do?"

"Handle it. Need at least two other brothers," Happy said standing. Juice stood as well, this was something he could easily get behind.

Jax and Chibs walked in, heading over to the two others. Happy nodded, knowing that having Jax's backing and permission made this far easier.

"Need some help. My girl Helena, had some issues when she was moving here today. Two pendejos tried assaulting her with her kids in the house," Happy explained, noticing the anger on the other men's faces. Despite the reputation and ideas surrounding crow-eaters and sweetbutts with their own internal culture, most of the men had strong convictions about protecting women.

"How far does the help go?" Jax asked.

"I'm killing the one who hurt her, both if they tagged teamed. Otherwise, it's a beatdown,"Happy said to Jax's nod.

"Ok- get a plan. No blowback, then get me and Chibs," Jax said. Happy gave a nod heading to his dorm to get a solid plan.

Helena thought she must be setting an unpacking record. She was already done with the kitchen, bathroom and both kid's rooms- much to their delight. As long as she kept moving, she kept the anxiety at bay. What had happened in the living room was not how she had wanted her first day in this new town to go.

The few hours Happy had told her around 4 that afternoon had turned into several. It was well after dinner, Noella and Henry already down for the night. She was tempted to text or call but if he was in the middle of "handling it" or something else, she didn't want to bother him.

Her thoughts settled on Happy. She had never met a man like him before. Besides the fact that tattooed bikers weren't her parents' clientele, he wasn't the type of man she ever considered dating. After the disaster that was the twin's father, dating was near the bottom on of her priority list. The way he came when she called made her give a genuine smile. There was definitely more to the man than met the eyes. What she did know was that he made her feel safe and her children liked him. Anything else was a tomorrow problem.

The rumble of a bike brought her to the front door. Waiting until he knocked, Helena opened the door. Happy slipped in, letting her look the door before turning her around. Helena's eyes scanned him, noting the blood stains and roughed up knuckles. That didn't matter, what did is that he came back. Again she rushed into his chest, wrapping herself tightly around him, making him stoop to pick her up and settled her on his hips.

"Tranquilo carina, todo esta bien," Happy soothed. Helena nodded into his shoulder.

Happy walked them to the couch sitting down. Helena decided Happy was comfortable, despite his need for a shower. Right now this was keeping her calm.

"Merci. I appreciate what you did," Helena didn't need details, she could make a good guess from the blood what probably had happened.

"That pendejo shouldn't have touched you!" Happy growled, still sounding upset at it.

Helena looked at him, reaching up to cup his cheeks in her hands. Giving him a smile she leaned in, kissing his forehead. She felt his deep breath, then him relaxing beneath her. Settling against him again, her head rested on his shoulder.

"Looks like you were busy," Happy commented, running his fingers up and down her spine. It felt good to be comforted like this, and she appreciated he didn't force questions on her about earlier.

"Yeah, anxiety gave me the energy boost," Helena sarcastically chuckled. Happy huffed beneath her.

"Hijos?"

"Dead to the world, after dinner we played soccer in backyard until they could hardly keep themselves upright," Helena said. She felt Happy nod.

"I need a shower," he gently pushed her back. Taking the hint, she stood.

"If you give me your shirt, I get those stains worked on; then when you're done in the shower get the rest of your clothes in the washer. If you have something else to change into," Helena was nervous again, realizing how forward she sounded.

Happy just raised an eyebrow at her as he took off his kutte. He walked to the dining room chairs, draping it over the back of one. He then moved to the kitchen placing his weapons on top of the fridge.

"I got a change of clothes on the bike, be right back."

Helena took a deep breath as he went out. The man obviously felt comfortable with her, or he was just used to doing things his way. She went into the kitchen standing on her tiptoes to see what his weapons were. She recognized the knife from earlier and thought she should have been more surprised at the Glock 17. But her father was a gun man and so was her brother.

"Don't touch, unless it's an emergency."

Helena gave a little shriek, stumbling back a bit. Glaring at Happy who had a smirk on his face, she crossed her arms.

"Abruti!" She grumbled, "My papa and brother are gun men. I know the rules, and so do my children." Happy gave a nod of approval.

"Bathroom is the first on the left, towels are already unpacked," Helena said.

Happy went down the hall. Once the water had started, Helena peaked in the hallway seeing a small pile of clothes next to a pair of boots. Scooping it all up, she dropped the boots by the door before heading to the basement.

Her thoughts returned to Happy as she treated the stains on his shirt. She wouldn't ask, but she wondered what he did to get this amount of blood on him. The creep got what he deserved though and she didn't feel bad at all for whatever Happy had done. Hearing the water stop, she tossed in the clothes and started the machine.

Happy was standing shirtless in the kitchen, in fact he was only in a pair of black boxer-briefs. Helena swallowed hard, feeling her cheeks heat up.

"Sacré bleu! Happy you said you had a change of clothes!" Helena gasped.

"I do, but I ain't sleeping in them," he said coming close enough for her to read his collarbone. I live, I die, I kill, for my family. Helena thought the tattoo told her everything she needed to know about what kind of man Happy was.

"I don't recall asking you to spend the night," she said. Happy chuckled.

"I'm going to, make sure you and the hijos are safe," Happy said pulling her against him making her flush deeply.

"But you handled it," she breathed, distracted by feel of his skin.

"I did, but you're still shaken up," Happy observed. Helena huffed against him, so much for trying to hide it.

"Très bien, tu dors sur le canapé," Helena did her best to wave in the direction of said couch.

Happy simply turned them walking them back to the couch. Sitting them down he tucked her under his arm. It seemed he wanted to say something, so Helena waited silently.

"You're under my skin carina. I don't do shit like this for any woman. But…" he trailed. He kissed the top of her head.

"But since this morning, whatever it is that is happening is real."

Helena let the silence stretch between them as she gathered her thoughts. His presence calmed her anxiety significantly but it was still there. It had been one hell of a day, and she didn't know how to express all her thoughts.

"Happy, I appreciate what you did for me. You're different from anyone I have ever met before. I haven't been in anything serious or even dating since I gave birth to Noella and Henry. I want to know more, get to know you. But I can't rush anything, and I can't think anymore tonight." She took it as a good sign he kept her against his side as he got lost in his thoughts.

"One day at a time then carina, I ain't gonna be with anyone else," Happy said making Helena jerk head to see his eyes.

"Excusez-moi? What does that mean?" Happy tilted her chin, his thumb rubbing softly over her split lip.

"Means no other women in the clubhouse or on the road, I'll explain later."

Helena just nodded, exhaustion finally hitting her. She stood a yawn making her stretch. "I'll grab you a couple pillows and blankets."

When she returned, Happy was stretched out with one arm over his face. Helena could see his bruised knuckles. She leaned down placing a gentle kiss on them, seeing the hint of a smile on Happy's face. Tucking the blanket around him, she left the pillows on the floor by his head if he wanted them later.

"Bonne nuit mon beau."

"Buenas noches querida."
