We're back on chapter six.

REMINDER: I DO NOT OWN LEGEND OF KORRA OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS.

At an enormous hall made out of ice in which a large feast was going on. Korra, her parents, Unalaq, his wife, and their children were sat at the head table.

"Enjoying the feast, Korra?" Malina asked.

"Yeah, Aunt Malina. And this is a wonderful feast in your honour, Uncle." said Korra.

"This is nothing. When this festival was founded, the tribal elders would commune with the spirits. People would watch the brilliant displays of light as spirits danced in the sky." Unalaq said.

"Wow, I've never seen that." Korra said.

"And that is a shame, since the Avatar is the bridge between the material world and the spirits. That is why I want so badly to teach you. To help you fulfil your destiny."

"I thought I had made it clear that Tenzin is teaching her." Tonraq said.

"Uh, dear, this is not the time." Malina said.

"Every Avatar before you travelled the world to learn. It was Tenzin and your father who kept you secluded at the South Pole." Unalaq continued.

"I thought Aang ordered the White Lotus to keep me down here." Korra said.

"We all did what we thought was best for you." Tonraq said.

"Who I train with should be my decision, Dad, not yours or Tenzin's." Korra crossing her arms.

"Korra, I can understand you're upset." Malina said.

"I don't blame you, Aunt Malina." Korra said calmly.

Across the room where Tenzin, Bumi, Kya, and Katara are sat at a table, having overhead the conversation at the head table.

"Looks like someone's trying to take your place as the Avatar's stick-in-the-mud mentor." Bumi teasing Tenzin.

"Bumi, don't pick on Tenzin. You know he's always been sensitive." Kya said.

Tenzin crosses his arms defensively. "I'm not sensitive!"

Bumi and Kya laughs as Kya pokes him, while Katara watches on holding Rohan, a serious look on her face.

At the head table, Unalaq stands up in order to give a speech.

"As your chief, it is my honour to speak at this festival, which was founded to bring our tribes together and restore the ancient balance between our world and that of the spirits.

But I am saddened to see what it has become: A cheap carnival that celebrates greedy and trivial humans. I feel the time is fast approaching when the North can no longer stand idly by while our Southern brothers slip into total spiritual decay. Angry spirits are already attacking ships in your waters. I only hope we are not too late to change course."

He sits down, and Varrick stands up to give a speech of his own.

"Chief Unalaq, everybody, always great to have him in town. Now, let's have some fun with Wacky Wushu's Dancing Otter penguins!"

A man dressed in purple dances onto the stage, and bends a stream of water onto the platform. Three otter penguins slide along the water, before sliding back, stopping in front of Wushu. All four of them take a bow.

Meanwhile, at the festival later at night. Mako feeds Korra some cotton candy, which she greatly enjoys before feeding some to Mako, much to Bolin's annoyance, who was eating some balled food off a stick.

Bolin turns his head away and his eyes widen. His perspective, showing Eska and Desna, who are standing beside each other alone, surveying the people walking past.

He clears throat, smirks, and nudges Mako with his elbow. "Wish me luck. I'm making my move!" Bolin's takes a stance as if he was going to dash away. "Whee!"

"Good luck." Mako said.

"Those two have always creeped me out. They smell like a grandma's attic." Korra said.

Bolin came to Eska. "Hey, I'm Bolin. I'm a friend of Korra's! You're, uh, Eska, right? Wow, I'm just, I am loving these robes."

Eska and Desna turn to look at him. Eska hisses at Bolin, who was somewhat taken aback. Bolin clears his throat.

"So, you are from the North, right? Cool, that's, like you know, that's my favourite direction."

"I think he is trying to establish some kind of bond with you based on your geographic point of origin." Desna said.

"Perhaps it would be interesting to spend time with a person whose ways are so rough and uncultured." Eska glances in Bolin's direction. "You amuse me." she said. "I will make you mine."

Bolin smiles nervously. "You mean like a boyfriend, or like a slave...?"

"Yes." She grabs Bolin's collar. "Win me prizes."

Bolin laughs nervously as Eska grabs him by his collar and guides him away, while Desna walks beside her.

Later at a carnival game where jets of water were hitting chibi Aang targets. As the water goes into his mouth, a bell ring, his eyes and arrow light up, and the Momo figure above his head starts to rise.

Mako and Korra from behind, were holding a water squirt gun as they play the game. Mako, looking at his target, was hitting his mark, while Korra, who was looking sideways to Mako, misses.

"Unalaq offered to train me. He says he can teach me about the spirits and my connection to them." Korra said.

"Sounds good. What does Tenzin think?" Mako asked.

"Tenzin thinks I'm his prisoner or one of his kids. I'll never finish training with him in charge." Korra said.

Korra becomes irritated at the entire situation and angrily waterbends a big water stream out of her squirt gun, hitting the chibi Aang's figure's head full on and causing the Momo cut out quickly reach the top of the meter, winning the carnival game.

"We have a winner!"

Korra holds up a plush Appa toy.

"I mean, you heard what Unalaq said. The South is spiritually unbalanced and it's the Avatar's job to fix it, but my dad won't even let me think about Unalaq teaching me. Not to mention, he and my dad are trying to protect me from someone they're afraid of, and I don't know who? Well?"

"Well what?" Mako asked.

"What do you think I should do?" she asked.

"Uh… I guess you should do what you think is right. I support whatever decision you make."

"Oh, thanks. That's a big help." Korra said sarcastically.

"I thought you wanted me to be supportive. Now you want me to tell you what I think? Make up your mind!" Mako said.

She throws the stuffed Appa she won from the game at Mako and storms off.

"Just forget it."

As Korra walked away, Mako looked at her in worry.

"I don't know how to help her out." he said.

Korra walked down to the snowway, thinking about Unalaq's offer to be her spiritual teacher. But she was too upset with Tenzin and her father, keeping her in the South Pole instead of traveling to learn.

"I'm the Avatar, aren't I? I should decide by myself. But Dad and Tenzin had been keeping me here like a prison. But I just wanted to feel free to learn everything I want to know."

Korra used her waterbendning to create a wall, then she melts it with waterbending. Then she used airbending punch to the sky.

"What I love most about being the Avatar is"

"You can't step in the same snow twice"

"The weather's always changing, always glowing"

"But people, I guess, can't live like that"

"We all must pay a price"

Korra sees Naga walking to her, and licked her on the cheek. She pets her.

"To be safe, we lose our chance of ever knowing"

"What I do is my decision"

"I can live with my own decision"

Korra goes atop of Naga, and when she does, she rides Naga over the large, snow-covered plains.

"I look once more"

"What is my decision"

"To be the bridge between worlds to be sure"

"As you all can see"

"Don't know what for"

As the polar bear dog starts running faster and faster, Korra raised water for a trail.

"What I dream, the day might send"

"That I can bend"

"For me"

"Coming for me"

As Naga stopped at the cliff, Korra looks up to the sky.

"I feel it there beyond the wind"

"Or right behind these Southern Lights"

"Can I ignore that sound of Tenzin's bad lecturing?"

"Just to trust my uncle's dream"

"In the sleeping nights"

"And that something might be coming"

"What I do is my decision"

"I can live with my own decision"

Korra stands on top of the cliff and entered the Avatar State to raise the ocean.

"I look once more"

"What is my decision"

"To be the bridge between worlds to be sure"

"Somewhere past the sea"

"Don't know what for"

"Why do all my dreams extend"

"What can I do with it?"

"Is all my dreaming at an end?"

"NO, I am the Avatar"

"You've gotta deal with it!"

Korra walked to Naga and gave her a hug.

"Come on, girl. Let's just go back home." she said.

Korra jumped on top of Naga, and they both went back to the village.

Chapter seven will be coming.
