Hello, fellow tamers. Centurion Maximo here and after a long time of waiting, welcome back to Rwby: Digital Tamer.
In the last chapter, WBY, JNPR, and CFVY are concerned with Ruby's well-being after General had a gun pointed at the back of her head and you can bet Qrow is super-pissed at Ironwood, moreso than Yang is. Weiss on the other hand feels nothing but shame. Also, Zwei has officially entered the game. What antics will the adorable Corgi get up to with his family and their friends?
On their joint mission, Oobleck asked the members of teams RWBY and JNPR their motivations about becoming hunters, and getting satisfying answers from each of them. So, the last chapter was kind of a little dive into the main eight characters.
Now, let's start moving with No Brakes!
"Ruby, are you ok?" Pupmon asked, popping her head out between Ruby's arms. Earlier, when they were falling, Ruby grabbed Pupmon and wrapped herself around the dog Digimon to protect her from the fall.
The two separated from each other, and Ruby checked her D-scroll. "My aura is still in the green. I'm good to go." Ruby answered Pupmon. "The real question is, how are we going to get out of here? I don't think even, with my semblance, I could reach and pull us up."
"Maybe there is a path that leads to the surface." Pupmon suggested.
"The city would have escape tunnels. That would lead to an emergency evacuation point. We need to find it." Ruby said.
The two started to head down the tunnel when hands grabbed both of them and pulled into another passageway. "Don't say a single word." The voice of Raven said. They were about to get ready to fight her when the sound of footsteps came closer: The source had one eye, a red lens in the middle of its chest, and two long arms with three at the end. It also had a backpack with a rocket booster on it.
When it passed the tunnel, the Digimon Analyzer App opened with the images of the Digimon. "Mekanorimon, a champion-level machine Digimon. Part of the Metal Empire Family. Attribute is virus. Mekanorimon is a battle suit Digimon and needs another Digimon to control it. One of the earliest known vehicle Digimon in the Digital World. Mekanorimon has no free will of its own and heavily depends on its pilot for everything. It is even capable of flight. Attacks are: Twin Beam where it fires a laser beam from the red optic circle on its chest. Gyro Break has it launch a disk bomb at opponents."
"Even the Digimon have their version of the Paladin." Raven commented as she let go of Ruby and Pupmon.
Pupmon wanted to let out a growl but decided against the action as she didn't want Mekanorimon to return. "Thank you for saving us, but it doesn't mean I am willing to join your tribe," Ruby said with a stern expression.
Raven didn't hear a word Ruby was saying and was replaced by her mother, Summer Rose. "If I do this right. Then there's nothing to worry about. Trust me." Summer walked past Raven.
Raven's grip tightened on Omen. "I should've never agreed to this. You think you are selfless, but did you once think how losing you would affect us? Well, guess what, Summer, I'm taking you back to Tai, where you belong!" Raven shouted, but instead of Summer standing there, it was Ruby in her place. Raven covered her mouth.
However, it was too late as a laser hit the ground in front of them. That caused dirt and rocks to fly into the air. "Puppy Howl!" Pupmon released a sonic howl. Mekanorimon was getting pushback from the attack, but Mekanorimon's thrusters were activated, pushing through the sound attack. It was almost on top of them when an icy blast froze it in place. Pupmon stopped screaming.
Ruby used Petal Burst to zoom to the top of Mekanorimon and pointed Crescent Rose at the top of the Mekanorimon and pointed Crescent Rose at the blue glass dome. "Come on out slowly with your appendages up." The glass dome opened slowly; out came a Bakemon with his hands up.
"Look, kid, it's nothing personal. I didn't even want to be here. If not for Ariesmon, I would still be at Overdell on File Island." Bakemon sighed. Ruby and Pupmon look skeptically at Bakemon while Raven kept a hand on Omen.
"I get it. We are usually the Digimon that fill the ranks of whatever evil Digimon is trying to take over the Digital World. Things have been different for the Bakemon in Overdell since NoblePumpkinmon took it over. We helped NoblePumpkin plan his Fall Harvest Festival. We, the Soulmon and the Ghostmon, even help set up a haunted House and tricks for the party. Every Digimon shows up with food, and NoblePumpkinmon's pumpkin pie is worth getting deleted for. I can't wait for October thirty-first." Bakemon said.
"Wait, that's the same day as my birthday!" Ruby said in shock.
"Wait, kid, your birthday is on the same day as Fall Harvest?! NoblePumpkinmon going to love you!" Bakemon said excitedly, grabbing Ruby's hands.
Raven let out a cough to get them back on track. "I think we're getting off-topic here. Why are you working for Ariesmon?"
"That jerk showed up when the boss went to visit a friend in the Freezeland. That goat destroyed all the decorations and nearly deleted Phantomon. Ariesmon threatened to do more damage if we didn't come with him. He didn't care that we spent all year getting the festival ready!" Bakemon shouted angrily.
"Is it just you?" Pupmon asked.
"No, four other Bakemon are piloting Mekanorimon." The ghost Digimon answered.
"Do you want to help us with a trick?" Ruby asked, gaining a smirk.
"Depends on the trick." Bakemon retorted. The whole time Ruby explained her idea, a mischievous smile was on Bakemon's face.
Yang follows Zwei with Weiss, Blake, JNPR, and Professor Oobleck right behind her. She knew instantly that something was wrong when Zwei showed up without Ruby. If Cubmon hadn't reminded her that Ruby had Crescent Rose and Pupmon, she would've panicked and drawn in more Grimm to their locations.
Zwei stopped in front of a hole in the ground. Doctor Oobleck looked at the hole and came to a realization. "How could I forget the underground metro system?" His students, their Digimon partners, and Zwei looked at him, in a confused manner. "During the construction of the Mount Glenn settlement, an underground station was created. Its purpose was to make safe travel for those who work in Vale and emergency evacuation points in case of a Grimm attack."
"The White Fang have access to a forgotten passageway that leads to the heart of Vale." Tigeressmon said.
Suddenly Yang's D-Scroll began to ring. The blonde brawler saw it was Ruby calling and put on speaker. "Yang, I'm ok. The White Fang has a train loaded with bombs that they are planning on separating the train cars and having them explode on the way to Vale, and letting the Grimm into Vale."
"Mrs. Rose, stay where you are and be there in no time." Dr. Oobleck instructed.
"I have a plan but Yang, you have to promise not to get angry." Ruby said with a small smile.
"Ruby Rose, What are you up to?" Yang asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You will know when you see it but you have to promise to stay calm." Ruby said.
"Ok, I promise I won't get angry." Yang promised.
Roman watched the White Fang grunts load the train car with the stolen Atlesian Paladins when he saw the Mekanorimon return from their patrol. He noticed that one of the Mekanorimon was carrying something. No, it wasn't an object but a person and a Digimon. He knew that red cloak anywhere. "Well, well, if it isn't Little Red and the big bad wolf." Roman snarked.
The gentleman thief took in the view of Ruby and Pupmon. They were covered in dirt and had a few bruises on them. "I should have known that things were running a little too smoothly lately. Red, I don't know how you found us but we got plenty of time for me to get those answers out of you and Rover." Ruby mumbles something. "What was that, Red?"
"Trick!" Ruby shouted as soon as that word left her mouth the Mekanorimon launched their Gyro Break attack. The disk bombs exploded, creating a smoke cloud that covered the area.
Roman had Melodic Cudgel ready to fire. He could hear the sound of fighting and when the smoke cleared he saw Ruby's team, JNPR, a licensed Hunter, and a Corgi fighting The White Fang. "Just great," Roman groaned, running towards the train engine.
The train began to move down the track. "We need to stop the train before it reaches Vale. Pyrrha, do you think your Semblance can stop the train?" Jaune asked his girlfriend.
The Spartan bit her lower lip. "I never tried stopping something that big and heavy while it was moving. I might be able to hold it for a couple of seconds before my Aura breaks."
"Don't sweat it, Pyrrha. We just need to get on it." Ruby said, grabbing Pupmon.
"Hate to break it to you sis, but we don't have speed semblance like you." Yang reminded her sister.
"Who said anything about a speed Semblance?" Pupmon asked.
Right then, the Mekanorimon light up their thrusters. The glass dome lifted and out popped the Bakemon from earlier. "Welcome to Airline Mekanorimon. We hope you enjoy your flight." The DigiDestined and Doctor Oobleck got on the Mekanorimon.
The mech Digimon soars into the air. They landed on the last train car. "We must hurry and stop the train before it gets to Vale. If we can't stop the train, we must disable the bombs before they explode." Doctor Oobleck said.
"Doctor, I think we found one of them." Musicmon said as she and Weiss looked at the bomb.
The others got around the bomb to look at it when suddenly it lit up, the car began to detach from the rest of the train. This caused everyone to jump to the next car. It explodes creating a hole in the tunnel roof. The Grimm started to come through the new hole. "It is far worse than I thought. They not only bring in terrorists but making a direct line to Vale for the Grimm to enter from!" Doctor Oobleck shouted.
"Is there a way for us to stop the bombs?" Wyvernmon asked.
"It's possible that we could use Ms. Nikos' polarity semblance to mess with the bomb's timer while I deactivate them. The best solution would take over the train engine and stop the train before we get to Vale. Ruby and Yang, I believe that one of you should get hold of your uncle so he can warn Headmaster Ozpin of incoming danger."
Yang was already on her D-scroll, her eyes widened as she saw White Fang grunts climbing on top of the train with a couple of Paladins joining them. "Doctor, we have White Fang incoming!"
"Alright students, team RWBY will head to the engine and the rest of us will cover Pyrrha while she uses her Polarity to disarm the bombs. But we must stay vigilant while fighting the White Fang because of the Grimm that has entered the tunnel. One wrong move and it could be our last one."
The Mekanorimons' thruster lit up and headed for the Grimm. They fired their Twin Beams at the Grimm. Several Grimm were stunned by the beam while others were destroyed by it. That was all anyone could see as the train got farther and farther away from them. The DigiDestined and Doctor Oobleck understood what they were doing and would honor their sacrifices and it wouldn't go in vain..
-Team RWBY-
Team RWBY entered a train car, and Weiss threw Blake a magazine of Dust. Suddenly Neo and Noirmon appeared out of thin air. "Cubmon and I will handle this while all of you head to the engine." Yang said, getting into a fighting stance. Cubmon did the same. The rest of RWBY went to the next car.
Neo stood there without a care in the world. That got under Yang's skin. The blond brawler was about to charge when the bear Digimon spoke up. "Remember that she has an illusion semblance, so don't take anything at face value while fighting here." He reminded her.
"Yarn Ball!" Noirmon shouted, spitting out a yarn ball. Cubmon dodged the ball. "I would worry less about the blond bimbo and worry more about yourself!" That comment made Cubmon let out an angry growl, but he didn't fall for the taunt. Instead, he waited for the puppet Digimon to make the next move. Noirmon charged with glass aimed at Cubmon, who dodged the attack by side-stepping it.
Yang's D-Scroll Digimon Analyzer App went off, but the blond bombshell decided to look at it later rather than take her eyes off an opponent as tricky as this one. Yang fired Ember Celica and the bullets tore through the illusion.
-RWB-
In the next car, team RWB was met by a White Fang member carrying a chainsaw. His attire consisted of a costumed Grimm mask with thin red eyes at the bottom of the mask, a white-sleeveless shirt, black long-pants, black fingerless gloves, and metal guards on forearms. "Edward, I should've know that Adam would put you in charge of this mission." Blake said.
"That's Lieutenant to you! Only my friends call me by my name." Edward said. "When I finish dealing with the humans, I'll drag you and the three Digimon to Adam. I know he wants you alive, and those three will be a nice gift for him."
Blake's hand trembled a bit at hearing her ex-boyfriend's name. Weiss stood in front of the cat Faunus with Myrtenaster aiming at the Lieutenant. "Blake, you and Ruby go and take care of Roman. I will deal with this brute!" Blake saw the determination in Weiss's eyes.
Even though Weiss sounded sure of herself, Blake wasn't happy leaving Weiss alone with Edward. "Blake, we have this! Go! Musicmon shouted." Blake left with Nekomon, Ruby, and Pupmon for the engine. The cat faunus didn't like the idea, but she needed to believe that Weiss and Musicmon would be ok against Adam's right hand.
The Lieutenant tried to stop them, but ice blocked the path. He turned back to the source of his people's suffering, and his blood began to boil at the sight of the Schnee. "I know my company has done wrong by you, but can't we talk this out instead of using violence?" The chainsaw came to life. "I guess not." Weiss deadpanned as the lieutenant charged her.
-Train Engine-
Roman took a puff from his cigarette as the door opened behind him. "Why is it that whenever I'm up to something, I find you there." The gentleman thief threw his cigarette to the ground and stomped on it. "I see you brought two mangy cats beside your mutt." Both Blake and Nekomon felt insulted by the mangy comment. "Good thing I'm the kind of guy who hedges his bets." Roman said as two BlackToyAgumon fired plastic flames at the heroes. Ruby dodged by using Petal Burst. The blast missed her and hit the engine's door.
A plastic flame hit Blake, but the cat Faunus dissolved into nothing. Blake had replaced herself with one of her clones earlier. The rose petals disappeared, and Ruby stood next to Blake. Ruby. Blake. "We'll handle the BlackToyAgumon! Go deal with Roman!" Nekomon shouted. Pupmon scratched one of the toy Digimon. Nekomon followed the dog Digimon's lead by slashing at the other one. Ruby and Blake both stared down Roman and he fired at them.
-The Train roof-
Ren fired Stormflower and the bullets hit several White Fang Grunts, followed by Wyvernmon releasing a torrent of fire, causing the terrorists' auras to flicker. Jaune and Acolytemon slashed one of the grunts to fall off the train. A grenade exploded as more terrorists tried to get on top of the train car. Nora got ready to fire another grenade, unaware that a grunt behind her was about to grab her when a bolt of electricity hit them. "Nora, behind you!" Shockmon shouted. Nora turned Magnhild into a hammer and slammed it into the grunt that knocked the goon off the roof.
Dr. Oobleck's thermos changed to weapon mode. Zwei leapt into the air, and Oobleck hit him, turning the dog into a fireball. The fireball hit the mech and knocked it onto the train tracks. The Paladin exploded when it hit a wall. Another Paladin aimed its guns at the corgi when several fireballs destroyed one of the guns. Dr. Oobleck spun Antiquity's Roast and slammed it on the ground. "You shall not pass!" Dr. Oobleck yelled, and Zwei growled in agreement as they charged the Paladin.
Pyrrha nervously bit her lips as she gently tried to remove the bomb with her Polarity. It took several of them going off to get it right. It didn't help that the White Fang grunts were trying to attack her. A grunt carrying a bat was standing over her when suddenly a foot covered in green fire kicked the terrorist in the face, taking advantage of her momentum, covered her arms in the same green fire, and punched the Faunus in the stomach. She followed up with a second punch to their stomach. The grunt retaliated by hitting Tigressmon's face with the bat. Tigressmon stumbles back a bit.
-Yang's location-
Yang punched Neo, only for the thief's image to shatter. The blonde brawler was worse for the wear. Her aura was low, and she hadn't been able to hit the short woman once. She looked for Neo but only saw Cubmon fighting Noirmon. That's when Yang noticed Neo standing behind the bear Digimon. Yang leaps into action only to find out too late that Neo is another illusion, and the real Neo kicks Yang into the ceiling.
A bright light covers Cubmon, and when the light fades, Ursamon stands over Yang. He let out a protective growl, but he didn't dare to move out of fear of them going after Yang. Suddenly, a familiar red portal appeared and out stepped Raven, who had Omen in her hand. Neo grabbed Noirmon and vanished from sight.
Raven re-entered the portal but not before looking at Ursamon. "Take good care of her." Raven said as the portal closed.
-Weiss' location-
The Lieutenant broke through another one of Weiss' ice barriers. Weiss swerved to the right, barely missing the chainsaw by a few inches. "I know my company has done horrible things to Faunus, but I'm not my father, and I want to return the company to how my Grandfather ran it." The heiress said.
The Lieutenant snarled at her and kicked Weiss in the stomach. The white hair girl was off balance. The Faunus was about to go in for another attack when a laser hit his shoulder. That causes Aura to flicker a bit. He turned to see Musicmon ready to attack again. "Don't worry, Digimon, I'm about to deal with your owner, and then you'll be free." Lieutenant said while Musicmon glared at him in disgust.
"You think I'm Weiss' pet? That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I'm Weiss's friend, not her pet." Musicmon said angrily.
"It seems the Schnee has brainwashed you. There is only one way to fix that." The Lieutenant moved faster than the rookie Digimon could react, bringing the chainsaw down to cut her in half when a snowflake glyph materialized and blocked the chainsaw. He changes the target from Musicmon to Weiss. The Lieutenant got to Weiss before she could dismiss her glyph. He grabbed Weiss by the face and slammed her into the floor. That broke her Aura. He followed by throwing her into the air. At that moment, the word Digivolution appeared on her D-Scroll. Music was covered when it disappeared, and Vocalmon went into action.
Vocalmon grabbed the chainsaw blade with one hand and caught Weiss with the other one. "Weiss, can you stand?" Vocalmon asked. Weiss nodded, who stood behind the Champion-level Digimon and tried to recover her Aura.
"You may have saved her, but it cost you a hand!" Lieutenant said Vocalmon didn't seem too concerned with losing a hand. "Here is something you don't know about me: My entire arm is constructed of Chrome Digizoid metal!" Vocalmon tightens her grip, breaking the chainsaw's teeth before ripping it in half. "CD Bombardment!" She launched CDs at the Lieutenant. He dropped the damaged chainsaw to use his arms to block. The CDs hit him, causing his Aura to flicker. "Lyric Slammer!" Vocalmon sang, and musical notes appeared. The notes shattered Edward's Aura. He lowered his arms in time to see Vocalmon right in front of him. Vocalmon delivered an uppercut to his face and knocked him out.
"Weiss, are you ok?!" Vocalmon asked in concern.
"I am because of you. We need to check on Yang and catch up with Ruby and Blake." Weiss said as they went back to check on Yang and Cubmon.
-the Train engine-
The two BlackToyAgumon scattered into pieces before they turned into data. While this was going on, Roman dodged Blake's slash. Roman caught her arm with the crook of Melodic Cudgel, throwing the cat Faunus into the red reaper and knocking them to the ground. Roman was aiming Melodic when a sonic howl hit the gentleman thief.
Roman used the strength he had turned towards Pupmon and saw Nekomon with his claws out, charging at him. Roman powered through the sonic attack and fired at the cat Digimon.
Before the fire dust could leave the chamber, Blake jumped in front of the cane and created a shadow with earth dust that fused with the barrel, causing the weapon to backfire. The strength of the explosion smacked Roman into a wall.
Both Ruby and Blake saw Roman's Aura flickering. They quickly opened the Digimon Library app and hit images of certain Digimon, "Fist Of The Beast King." Nekomon released a lion head aura from his fist. "Gyro break!" Pupmon launched a disk bomb. The two attacks hit Roman and broke his aura. Ruby zooms around Torchwick, tying him up with Gambol Shroud ribbon.
Weiss and Vocalmon just entered the engine room, where they saw Roman struggling with his restraints. "I see you have Roman handled. Yang and Ursamon are staying where they are because he is too big to fit through the doors."
Ruby searched the control panel for the brake control. She found the brake lever and pulled it down, but nothing happened. "Sorry, little red, this is a one-way trip to the center of Vale!" Roman was laughing at them.
"We need to slow the train down!" Blake tried to lower the speed but found that the train was still going at full throttle. "Of course they rigged the train not to slow down. What is the point of having a suicide train if you can stop it?"
"Blake, see if you can get hold of Doctor Oobleck! Weiss, maybe you can create a barrier using ice dust!" Ruby exclaimed while Blake was on her D-Scroll trying to get hold of Doctor Oobleck. Weiss was checking on how much ice dust she had left.
Vocalmon noticed some that filled her with dread. "Girls, we are about to reach the end of the line! Brace for impact!" Vocalmon grabbed Weiss to protect her. A bright light covered the train. The train crashed, and everything went dark.
Hello, everyone. We hope you liked the latest chapter of Rwby: Digital Tamer. Well, things have heated up as Raven has made another appearance, Weiss and the White Fang lieutenant have faced off as well as Yang and Neo with the results the same as in the show. Blake and Ruby may have taken down Roman, but it's too late as the train crashes.
As for the Digimon, we see Norimon in action a bit with her Yarn Ball attack which Cubmon dodged. Vocalmon breaks the lieutenant's chainsaw and knocks him out.
