Chapter 18

The Control Room was busting with activity as Daleks fulfilled their duties within the beating heart of Dalek City.

Overseeing all the activity was the Dalek Supreme. He still remained perched on top of the podium in the very centre of the Control Room. The eternity of the Control Room was under his never blinking red glare. From his elevated vantage point he watched everything that happening in the Control Room.

"Keep moving!"

The command from the Dalek Scout Commander gained the Dalek Supreme's attention. His red glare moved away from the Daleks to the Control Room's door that opened with a whoosh. Under his watchful red glare he watched as a large group of humanoids prisoners being escorted in by the Dalek Scout Commander and its Scout Daleks.

Under his watchful red glare he studied all the prisoners faces. He studied the leadership of the Thals that was being brought before him. "The Thals must be desperate if their leadership includes the young and old. And not only that but females." he stated to himself as he finished studying the leadership of his enemies.

Beside the Dalek Supreme was the Dalek Head Scientist. His entire casing was quivering with delight at seeing who else the Dalek Scout Commander had brought back with him. "You found my lost experiment, Scout Commander. Well done." he cackled as his eye stock twitched between the Dalek Scout Commander and Ian.

Ian came under the red glare of the Dalek Supreme. His eye stock dropping as he was escorted on either side by the Dalek Scouts. Their dark green casings made them stand out from the other Daleks in the Control Room. The Scouts didn't say a word as they kept flanking either side of Ian.

"And you didn't destroy it. Well done. I can continue with my experiments." the Dalek Supreme cackled to the Scout Commander.

The Dalek Scout Commander grumbled as it advanced towards the Dalek Supreme. "I have completed your orders Dalek Supreme." it reported to the Dalek Supreme. "I have also destroyed the Thals camp."

"Excellent. The Thals have nowhere to run and hide to now." the Dalek Supreme almost purred as his red glare fixed in on the Scout Commander. "Your unit is no longer needed." he dismissively said to the Scout Commander.

The Dalek Supreme returned his attention to the five Thals gathered before him. His red glare leered at them as they did not look at him. Instead, they were looking behind him. Anger sparked as they did not look at him.

"So these are the leaders of what remains of the Thals?" boomed a rumbling Dalek voice. A voice that was deeper and more powerful than the Dalek Supreme's voice.

Behind both the Supreme and Head Scientist was a hologram of an imposing giant Dalek. This was none other than the Dalek Emperor. His golden gaze studied all of the prisoners who had been brought before him.

"The Thals are lead by the young and old, as well as females? No wonder they have not defeated the Daleks. Their leadership is too weak." the Dalek Emperor rumbled on as he looked to all five Thal's councilmembers.

His golden glare moved away from the Thals and landed on the Doctor. He rumbled as he studied the Doctor who was also studying him. His gaze moved away from the Time Lord to his companions. "These are the alien creatures that have been given you such an issue, Dalek Supreme?" he asked the Dalek Supreme in that booming voice of his. Amusement and annoyance creeping into his mechanical voice.

The Dalek Supreme's eye stock swirled all the way around. The hologram of the Dalek Emperor came under his red gaze. "Correct." he responded back to his Emperor. "What are your orders for the Thals and the aliens?"

The Emperor's golden gaze moved away from the Dalek Supreme and back to all the gathered prisoners before him. Rumbling as he considered what to do with them. The Thals were their most ancient enemy. An enemy that they had thought was long dead. And yet they were still alive. That needed rectifying.

His eye stock twitched back to the Dalek Supreme. The Dalek Supreme's red lens was fixed on him as he waited for his order. "Interrogate these Thals." he ordered the Dalek Supreme as he looked back to the Thals. "If these Thals survived out in the wastelands of Skaro there is a high chance that others have survived as well. Find out if these Thals know anything about any more Thals hiding on Skaro. Find their other hiding locations and Exterminate them all." came the Emperor's rumbling order.

The Dalek Supreme swirled his eye stock away from the towering hologram of his Emperor back to the Thals. His red glare fixed onto them all with the intention to scare them all. Instead of fear like he wanted they showed him defiance.

All of them stood with their backs straight. Their faces frozen in determination as they looked right back at him. Even the child was not scared of him. He crawled in annoyance. They should be scared of him. He was the Dalek Supreme of Dalek City. In the absence of the Dalek Emperor he was in charge of all of Skaro. He was ging to crush their determination. He was going to make them all fear him, like they should.

"I obey. I will have the Thals cleansed from the surface of Skaro." he promised himself more than the Dalek Emperor.

The Dalek Emperor rumbled as his golden gaze studied the Dalek Supreme. The Dalek Supreme, sure had Dalek City running but these recent past failures were not sitting well with him. That was something that he could not let slide. Not when he was not on Skaro himself.

"Do not fail this simple task Dalek Supreme." the Dalek Emperor rumbled. "Or I will have you replaced with Dalek Sec."

The Dalek Supreme's eye stock swirled away from the Thals back around to face the Dalek Emperor. He was blinded by the Emperor's golden glowing lens. His entire casing jerked backwards at the intense golden glare that was fixed on him.

"The Dalek fleet needs Dalek Sec more than Dalek City." Dalek Supreme dared to argue back to the Dalek Emperor. Dalek City was his domain and he was not having that being taken away from him.

Especially a Dalek that did not follow Dalek norms. The newly formed Cult of Skaro were an insult to the Daleks. They did not think like normal Daleks. Especially Dalek Sec. The strange Dalek had been effective the war against the Mechanoids. But that was it. He had no idea why the Emperor had allowed him to lead the special Dalek unit.

"I can handle this situation without his aid. Dalek City is under my control!" he continued to argue back to his Emperor.

The Dalek Emperor's low rumbling growl made the Control Room quiver.

The Control Room was still. Daleks swirled their eye stocks around. The bright blue lens never blinked as they the Dalek Emperor's response.

The Emperor's silence was deafening. The silence was so loud that the Dalek Supreme could not hear his heart racing instead his chest. He could fell the muscle pushing his green blood through his mutated body. Both his lungs and medical computers screamed at him in a demand for air. He ignored the annoyances as he stared into the Emperor's golden glare that was fixed on him.

"Your choice is simple. Very simple" the Dalek Emperor purred his warning to the Dalek Supreme. "Obey the order and remain in position of Supreme of Dalek City! Or refuse and you will be underneath Dalek Sec who will replace you as Supreme of Dalek City!"

Green blood froze inside his veins as he went still inside his casing. He knew he really had no choice. The shadows behind the Emperor's hologram started to move. Slowly his eye stock moved away from the Emperor. His red gaze fixed on to the shadows that had started to move.

Slowly advancing out from their hiding spots behind the Emperor's hologram was Emperor's personal guards. The Emperor had left these Daleks behind on Skaro not only to protect the Dalek Supreme but also to act as the eye and ears for the Emperor.

The Dalek Supreme watched with a queasy stomach as the guards turned their weapons towards him. Their gun sticks twitched as they waited for the order like obedient dogs.

The Dalek Supreme with no other choice admitted defeat, "I obey."

The Dalek Emperor said nothing as he turned his golden lens back to the Doctor. Both Emperor of the Daleks and Lord of Time studied each other in silence. The Dalek Emperor noted that the Doctor did not look scared on seeing him. The Emperor felt annoyance shoot through him that this alien was not imposed by his presence. His mere hologram was enough to make his enemies surrender before falling under his might.

The Doctor was not intimidated by the Emperor's casing but instead he was interested in it. The Emperor's casing was not like other Dalek casings. Every Dalek had identical casings. The only difference was the colours used to identify ranks.

The Dalek Emperor's casing was completely different. The Emperor's casing was rooted to the floor of his flagship. Massive wires and pipes connected his casing to his flagship. As his golden glowing lens watched everything that happened in the Control Room from the safety of the flagship.

"You are one of the aliens that had been captured?" the Dalek Emperor asked the Doctor.

"I am." the Doctor huffed back to the Dalek Emperor. "And it is finally good to finally be able to speak to someone actually in power."

The Dalek Supreme's eye stock twitched towards the Doctor. His red glare narrowed at the Doctor as anger flared within him as the Doctor kept looking at the Emperor. Not him. He was in charge of Dalek City.

"Why have you come to Skaro? What was your mission?" demanded the Dalek Emperor unaware of the Dalek Supreme's growing anger. His golden glare fixed only on the Doctor.

"We are nothing more than travellers, your majesty." the Doctor responded humble. "You see our ship landed in the petrified forest. We arrived to the City merely looking for assistance as we needed mercury for a component for my ship. We were not intending to remain for long."

"But that brute," the Doctor continued as he pointed to the Dalek Supreme, "locked us up in a prison cell like we were common thugs. And he done so without hearing us out."

The Dalek Emperor's golden gaze remained fixed on the Doctor as the Dalek Supreme screeched out, "They are intruders. They are not Daleks. They are enemies of the Daleks. They should be Exterminated!"

The Doctor was unphased by the screeching of the Dalek Supreme. He instead was focused on the golden glare of the Dalek Emperor. "I can assure you that we are not your enemies. And we are also not the Thal's enemies." he continued to speak to the Emperor.

"The Thals are the enemies of the Daleks. Their association alone with the Thals is enough to make them our enemies!" the Dalek Supreme shouted from his podium in the centre of the Control Room. His eye stock swirled away from the Doctor back to the Emperor.

Slowly the Emperor's eye stock swirled away from the Doctor. His golden glare fixed onto the Supreme. "Silence!" he boomed out to the Dalek Supreme. He watched as the Dalek Supreme's casing jerked backwards at his order.

Satisfied with the response he got from the Dalek Supreme, the Dalek Emperor looked back to the Doctor. Once again the Doctor was under his golden gaze and once again the Doctor did not afraid of him. "You had the chance to leave Skaro but why did you remain?" he enquired of the Doctor.

"We remained on Skaro when we saw the relationship between the Daleks and the Thals. We believed that we can help you gain peace with each other." the Doctor continued to explain to the Emperor.

Barbara slowly leaned forward not once looking away from the golden gaze of the Dalek's Emperor. "Doctor what are you doing?" she asked him. Finally she tore her attention away from the Dalek's Emperor to look to the Doctor. "The Daleks have already shown that they don't want peace with the Thals." she stated to him.

Keeping his eyes on the Dalek emperors golden glare he whispered, "I am seeing if maybe the Emperor will be a better sport at peace than the Dalek Supreme."

"I don't think that is a good idea, Doctor." Barbara quietly said. "He did just order the Dalek Supreme to find out if any other Thals are still on Skaro. And then kill them." she pointed out to him.

The Doctor finally tore his attention away from the Emperor's unblinking gold glare to look to Barbara. "We can only try again, my dear." he said to her.

Shaking her head in disagreement to the Doctor Barbara couldn't help but whisper, "I just don't see this working out Doctor."

"Dalek Emperor," the Doctor regarded the Dalek Emperor, "you said before that your empire is weakened because you do not have full control over Skaro. Rather than being just the Dalek Empire imagine what you could achieve with a Skaro Empire. An empire that is formed with the unity from its home world."

The Dalek Emperor was silent. His golden glare fixed on the Doctor. All around them both Daleks and Thals stared in silence as they waited for the Emperor's response. The Doctor along with Barbara also waited in bated breath as they waited for him to respond back to the Doctor.

"No."

The simple word response from the Dalek Emperor was enough said for the Doctor. He bowed his head in sad acceptance. There was never going to be peace between the Daleks and the Thals. They were for the rest of time trapped in a never-ending dance of wars. Wars that not only destroyed their world but themselves as well.

He had naively hoped that there was another chance for him to help the two alien races gain peace. He had hoped that the Emperor would give him a better response.

"Peace between the Daleks and Thals will never be achieved." the Emperor stated coldly back to the Doctor. His golden glare glaring at the five Thals gathered before him.

"That is because you have not given it a chance! All you do is scream that you are superior to us! When you are not! You rely to much on those travel machines to be anything like what your ancestors were like!" Alydon shouted to the Emperor. His teeth ground as he came under the golden glare of the Emperor.

"You will be silent Thal!" the Dalek Supreme order from his podium.

Alydon looked into the red lens of Dalek City's Supreme. "No!" he shouted in defiance. "Not anymore. The time for our silence is over. Now we will be loud as we defend ourselves."

"Enough of this!" boomed the Dalek Emperor. His golden glare twitching between the Doctor and Alydon "This discussion is finished with."

The Emperor golden glare fell onto the Doctor. Once again he felt annoyance that the Doctor was unphased by him. He was magnificent even as a hologram and his golden gaze was enough to make his enemies falter.

"I have decided your fate. Along with your two female companions." the Dalek Emperor declared to the Doctor.

The Doctor looked away from the Emperor's hologram to Barbara and Susan. The two girls were fixed on his imposing hologram. Barbara stood perfectly still while Susan nervously bite her nails.

"The three of you will be interrogated." the Emperor declared as he looked between the three of them. Once again he fixed his attention on the Doctor. "You, Doctor will explain how your ship works. You will explain what went wrong with it. And then assist the Daleks in recreating it." the Dalek Emperor declared to the Doctor.

"Good luck with that." Barbara muttered to herself. She stepped sideways as the Doctor glared at her with annoyance.

The Doctor annoyed with Barbara looked back to the flickering hologram and he asked the Emperor, "And what about the girls?"

The Dalek Emperor's eye stock flicked away from the Doctor to Barbara and Susan. Susan squeaked when she came under his intense golden glare while Barbara remained perfectly still as she looked right into the golden lens of the Dalek Emperor.

"They will be transported to the Dalekanium mines and work as slaves for Dalek Empire. That is where they will remain until they die." the Dalek Emperor declared Barbara and Susan's fate.

"No!" Susan screamed out. She covering her mouth with her hands as tears freely streamed down her face. "You cannot do that. That is so wrong!"

"Silence! You will obey your orders!" came the Dalek Emperor's annoyed booming voice through the speakers. "Or you would be Exterminated." he warned the two girls. He watched them closely as the fight deflated out of their bodies before he continued, "You will be taken to the Dalek Head Scientist laboratory and made into the Robomen. I will not have any more problems befalling Skaro in my absence."

Ian's casing and organic body inside the casing quivered when the ancient glare of the Dalek Emperor focused onto him. Even as a hologram the gold glow from the Emperor's lens was blinding. Looking right into the gold lens of the Dalek Emperor made his stomach feel heavy.

"So, you are the Abomination that has been casing tension between the Dalek Supreme and my Head Scientist?" the Emperor asked Ian.

Ian couldn't look away from the golden orb that glared at him. He was like a moth drawn to a light when he looked into the Dalek Emperor's golden lens. Under the Emperor's intense glare he felt like a child who had been caught by their parent doing something they had been told not to.

Ian's single eye blinked as growing pressure formed behind his eye. Slowly the pressure felt like a second heart beat beating inside his of his head. Shrinking deeper into the casing in a vain attempt to escape from the growing headache.

"Respond!" the Dalek Emperor barked at Ian.

"I am." Ian responded back.

Ian didn't want to respond. He just wanted to close his eye and sleep the headache away. But for some strange reason he knew that the blinding headache was not going anywhere. Even if he took as much painkillers as he needed and slept for a month. The longer he had taken to respond the worse the headache had gotten.

The headache that thundered through his brain was so bad that it beat in time to his heartbeat. Or was it beating in time with his casing's computers.

The Dalek Emperor's eye stock turned away from Ian to the Dalek Head Scientist.

As soon as the Emperor looked away from him, the headache that Ian felt vanished. His organic body slumped as he relaxed. Being under the Emperor's unblinking golden glare had not been a good experience. Along with that thunderous headache that almost crippled him.

While he relaxed, Ian thought what had caused that headache. It had come out of nowhere. His medical computers informed him that there was nothing wrong with him.

"Tell me Head Scientist," the Emperor enquired to the Head Scientist, "why would you conduct such an experiment?"

The Dalek Head Scientist bright toxic green casing moved closer to Ian. His eye stock fixed on Ian. His insane glare studying the Dalek before him with glee before he looked back to the Emperor's hologram. "Certainly, my Emperor." came his insane cackle. His eye stock twitched back to Ian. Once again Ian came under the insane eye stock of the Dalek Head Scientist. "This is my latest invention to deal with two issues that I have hypothesised will affect the ranks of the Dalek Empire." he explained to the Dalek Emperor.

Rumbling rumbled through the Control Room. The Emperor's golden leer flicking between the Dalek Head Scientist and Ian. He said nothing as he waited for his Head Scientist to continue with his explanation.

"The first issue that I have predicted is that at some point in the future the Daleks will face a genetic bottleneck. So I have developed a defence mechanism that will use the organic material from our enemies to bring in a new genetic materials." the Dalek Head Scientist continued to explain to the Dalek Emperor.

The Dalek Emperor loomed over the Dalek Head Scientist. His golden glare never leaving the made scientist and yet the entire Control Room was under his gaze "What is the second reason for this research?" he inquired.

"The Dalek Empire will be in more wars as our empire expands. In order to keep up with the demand of needing new Daleks we will use our enemies to strength the Dalek Empire." the Dalek Head Scientist continued to explain to the Dalek Emperor.

The Head Scientist eye stock swirled away from the hologram of the Emperor and back to Ian. He silently studied the human turned Dalek. On the outside Ian looked like any other Dalek, apart from that strange mark under the eye stock. He observed that Ian was frozen before the Emperor. He looked back to the Emperor who was only focused in on him.

"This specimen has already proven to be much more intelligent and cunning than natural born Daleks."

The golden glare of the Dalek Emperor swept away from his Head Scientist, and focused on Ian. Studying Ian with disgust he demanded, "Explain!"

"This unit, Ian Chesterton had come up with plan to not only escape from my laboratory but then sneak himself and the other aliens out of Dalek City. All this had been done without him raising an alarm. I was only made aware of this deception when I returned to my laboratory and then when a drone had been destroyed by a lift." came the Head Scientist report to the Dalek Emperor.

The Dalek Emperor rumbled as his golden glare fixed on Ian. His Head Scientists had written many reports on this matter before that had gained not just his attention but also Dalek Sec. The leader of the Cult of Skaro had taken interest in them but had left that research to the Head Scientist.

It was true that the Daleks were fighting in more wars than ever than before. Their empire was steadily growing and it was only going to keep growing. Rumbling in thought, the Emperor knew that in order to keep up with the demand of new troops that they needed a stable way of making new Daleks and quickly.

Cloning was a quick and easy method that they had been using for generations. There was risks with cloning as already some Dalek embryos were facing some genetic defects. With the way that cloning was going they could only use that method for so long before it was too risky.

The Emperor found himself agreeing with his Head Scientist. Using their enemies as grunts in their endless army would make every other space faring race terrified of the Daleks. Being scared of the Daleks would make them surrender quicker. He was also coming up with plans on how the Daleks could use this to their advantage.

His only concern as he looked at Ian was that Ian did not have Dalek mentally. He rumbled in annoyance that Ian was not loyal to him. Instead he was still loyal to his friends. That loyalty had seen to him not only escaping from the laboratory to then free the prisoners from Dalek City. The Emperor rumbled as he considered what that loyalty could do when it was fixed on to him.

"You cannot be actually considering this abdominal idea?" the Dalek Supreme barked to Dalek Emperor from his central podium. He came under the intense golden glare of the Emperor. He remained firmed under the intense golden glare with his red glare. "The Head Scientist has committed treason against Dalek purity." he screamed as the Emperor.

The Dalek Supreme's eye stock swirled away from the Emperor. His red glare fixed on the Dalek's Head Scientist. "He should be Exterminated for this crime against Dalek purity!" he barked out with annoyance. The lights on top of his domed flashing as his gun stick twitched.

"Ian Chesterton has already proven to be far more intelligent than you Dalek Supreme." came the Head Scientist's quick snap back to the Supreme. "You did after all had hand him the prisoners. And he quickly came up with a plan to escape with them all."

An angry red glare narrowed onto the Dalek Head Scientist. The Dalek Supreme's gun stick was twitching more as the Dalek Head Scientist looked right back to him. "He was supposed to be locked up in your laboratory. Under your supervision!" the Supreme snapped back to the Head Scientist.

"Enough of this!"

Both the Dalek Supreme and Dalek Head Scientist to the Emperor. The Emperor's hologram flickered, but in the brief flickering his intense golden glare remained fixed on the two arguing Daleks.

"This bickering will cease!" came the Emperor booming order.

"Ian Chesterton is an abomination!" the Dalek Supreme screeched to the Dalek Emperor. "It must all be exterminated!"

"Silence!" the Dalek Emperor roared making the entire Control Room quiver and quake.

Susan cried out as she tightly held onto the Doctor. Her teary eyes not tearing away from the imposing hologram of the Dalek Emperor that flickered. She held the Doctor's jacket tightly as he wrapped his arm around her.

The Dalek Emperor paid Susan no attention. Instead, his eye stock was fixed on both the Dalek Supreme and Dalek Head Scientist. He watched in satisfaction as under his golden stare the two Daleks backed away from him. Even away from Dalek City and Skaro he still had full control over every Dalek.

His golden glare fixed onto the Dalek Head Scientist. "Prove to me that this experiment of yours is a benefit to the Dalek Empire. Make this Ian Chesterton a Dalek loyal to me. And then send him out to hunt down the remaining Thals." he ordered his Head Scientist.

The Dalek Head Scientist looked directly into the Emperor's golden lens. "I obey My Emperor. I will take him back to my laboratory. There I will finish his conditioning. The next time you see him he will be loyal to you." he assured the Emperor of all Daleks.

Once again a deep rumbling rumbled through the Control Room, as the Dalek Emperor's golden gaze moved between the Dalek Head Scientist and Ian. His eye stock twitched back to the Dalek Head Scientist and he ordered, "Proceed Dalek Head Scientist. Once he has been conditioned send him to my personal fleet. I will make use of him to defeat the enemies of the Daleks."

"Negative!"

Ian who had been silently watching the exchange between the Emperor and the Head Scientist jumped inside his casing at the sudden declaration from the Dalek Supreme. His eye stock fixed on to the black domed Dalek Supreme. The red glare was not fixed on him instead it was locked in on the Dalek Emperor.

Slowly Ian swirled his eye stock away from the three arguing Daleks. His attention was drawn to the two Daleks that were guarding him on either side. Both Daleks were not paying any attention to him. He turned his eye stock to where they were looking. The Daleks were watching the exchange between the Dalek Supreme, Head Scientist and the Dalek Emperor.

Slowly he turned his eye stock back to one of the guards. His eye stock drooped towards the gun stick that was turned away from him. A spark of an idea started ton form in his head. He needed to make a move. No one was paying him any attention.

Slowly Ian backed away from his two guards. Their attentions were fixed on the Dalek Emperor and Dalek Supreme. No doubt they were waiting for an order. They may have been in the Dalek City under the Dalek Supreme's command but ultimately they followed the Emperor's orders.

Keeping his movements slow and steady he slowly backed himself into Barbara. The sensors in his casing screamed at him as he got closer to her. He ignored their warnings as he got closer to her. Gentle he bumped into her.

His domed head turned around and her worried face came into view. Not saying a word to her he bobbed his eye stock up and down. Barbara bit her lip but nodded her head in understanding to what he was silently telling her.

Carefully he turned his attention back to the Dalek Supreme and the hologram of the Dalek Emperor. They were still focused on each other and not him. His eye stock scanned over every Dalek in the Control Room. All of their attentions were fixed on the Dalek Emperor as they waited for what he was going to say to the Dalek Supreme.

"Explain this interruption, Dalek Supreme!" the Dalek Emperor boomed at the Dalek Supreme.

"This little experiment should not be allowed to continue!" the Dalek Supreme barked back to the Emperor. His appendages twitched as anger coursed through his body. "The Dalek Head Scientist should be Exterminated for his blasphemous ideas of Dalek purity."

Ian did not pay attention to the rest of their conversation. Instead his mind was focused on the task at hand. He had been waiting for to long for a good moment to make his move. With the Dalek Emperor and Dalek Supreme arguing with each other, this was the best time for him to make his move. He couldn't see another time presenting itself to him.

Slowly he edged towards a computer bank. His eye stock kept swirling to watch all the Daleks in the Control Room. Still none of them had noticed that he was moving towards a computer. Their attentions were fixed on the Dalek Supreme who had dared to start an argument with the Dalek Emperor.

Ian kept his movements slow and steady as he reached the computer terminal. Slowly his manipulator arm raised up to the touch screen beside the computer. On the instance that his manipulator arm touched the touch screen the computer that was connected to his brain connected with the computer.

He had control over Dalek City's systems.

"All impure Daleks will be Exterminated!"

The sudden screech from the Dalek Supreme made Ian's eye stock turn towards the arrogant Dalek. Inside his casing, Ian's eye widened as he watched the Dalek Supreme turn his gun stick towards a Dalek beside him.

"Exterminate!" the Dalek Supreme roared as he fired at the Dalek.

The Dalek screeched out in both pain and anger as its casing exploded. Angry sparks sparked at the small mutant creature in the core of the casing as hungry flames consumed its flesh. A small wheeze was the last noise it made.

"Monster." Barbara hissed as she watched the Dalek Supreme killing another Dalek in the Control Room. The second Dalek that the Supreme killed exploded with a scream. "He's killing his own men in cold blood." she couldn't help but whisper in disgust as the Supreme kept killing his own men

"There was no need for that at all." the Doctor coldly said. "No need at all!"

Slowly the Dalek Supreme's entire casing turned around to face the Doctor. His red glare zeroed in on the Time Lord before him. "Dalek City will be purged of all impure Daleks!" he screamed back at the Doctor.

Still on top of his podium the Dalek Supreme fired at another Dalek in the Control Room. And another followed by another. He did not stop firing at every Dalek in the Control Room as he screamed out, "Exterminate. Dalek City will be purged!"

"Get down!" Alydon shouted to everyone as the Dalek Supreme started shooting at every other Dalek. He dropped to the ground just in time. A blue laser flew past his head and struck a Dalek that had been behind him. The Dalek screamed as its casing exploded. Alydon covered his head with his hands as debris of the destroyed Dalek rained down on him and the other council members.

Alydon dared to look up with his hands still covering his hands. He watched as the Dalek Supreme spun around on his podium. The gun stick was smocking as he fired it at every Dalek in the Control Room. He looked away from the Dalek Supreme to Ian.

Ian was still at the computer terminal. He had not been destroyed by the Dalek Supreme and that filled Alydon with hope. Their plan could still work. The Dalek Supreme was destroying the Daleks for them.

Alydon couldn't help but smile as he looked away from Ian. He looked back to Dyoni. She was cowering close to him as all around them Daleks exploded in fire balls.

"Dalek Supreme halt!" the Dalek Emperor ordered the Dalek Supreme. His golden glare remained strong even as his hologram flickered. "Ob-"

The golden glare of the Emperor remained fixed on the Dalek Supreme as his hologram disappeared. Dalek City was cut off from the Dalek Emperor's flagship.

The bright lights in the Control Room flickered as the Dalek Supreme destroyed more Daleks. There was a low whirling sound as the many Control Room computers started to be turned off. One by one.

While this was happening, the Dalek Supreme paid no attention to what was happening. His attention was focused on destroying the Daleks that had started firing back at him. His shielding activated. Forming a faint blue outline around his casing.

"Dalek City will be cleansed of all impurities!" the Dalek Supreme declared as he kept firing at the remaining Daleks in the Control Room.

Slowly the Dalek Supreme's blood red lens fixed on the Dalek Head Scientist. The rest of his casing slowly turned around to face the insane Dalek scientist. His gun stick twitched as he declared, "You are the reason that Dalek City needs to be cleansed. Exterminate!"

"No!" the Dalek Head Scientist screamed as the Dalek Supreme fired at him.

The Dalek Supreme growled as he did not stop firing at the Head Scientist. Flashes of blue energy lit up the darkened Control Room as the Supreme kept firing at the Dalek Head Scientist.

"The Daleks need me!" the Dalek Head Scientist screamed out as his energy shield shattered around me. "There will come a day when you will all know that I was correct!"

"You are sick!" the Dalek Supreme screeched at the Dalek Head Scientist. "You are of no use to the Daleks!" he roared as he fired his gun stick for the last time.

The Dalek Head Scientist screeched as his casing destroyed. Large metal chunks of his casing exploded outwards and landed around his casing with a loud clatter. Sparks sparked small flames that consumed him inside his casing. There was a low hissing sound as the casings life supports started to fail killing the Dalek mutant inside of the casing.

Slowly a small skeletal hand reached out of the destroyed casing. The mutants skin was a sickly green colour and stretched over the bones. The fingers of the hand ended in sharp claws. A thin layer of skin was spread over the fingers of the hand as it reached out of the casing.

The organic body of the Dalek Head Scientist slowly climbed out of his casing. The deformed muted body dropped out form the casing with a wet slap on the metal ground. The mutant's single blood shot eye blinked as it focused on Barbara. The Dalek Head Scientist mutant form was like Ian's in looking like an octopus with an exposed brain.

With a strangled squeak he dragged his deformed body towards Barbara. His single blood shot eye never blinking as he dragged his body towards her.

The Dalek Supreme was not paying attention to the Dalek Head Scientist that was dragging himself away from his destroyed casing. His blood red vision moved to Ian still at the computer terminal.

"Death to the Abomination!" he screeched as he fired a laser at Ian.
