Chapter 23:A Blonde Knight In Shining Armor
It was now a new morning in the anima right now as the sun shined brightly over the valley right now. As everyone was already getting started on breakfast for the day with blake cooking it for them along with yuka assisting her on it.
Right now starting their day was lance who was sharpening his sword right now for some maintenance. With his mother holding her husband sword close staring at it for a long moment as other had sat at the dinning table
With yuka whipping off cloud mouth as she was handfeeding him right now as thrud was telling her parents about her boyfriend
"So the guy i met name is chet hes actually very cool. "Thrud said jumping almost in her seat
"Ohhhh whats he like?"nora asked eagerly as ren sat their with crossed arms not even making any emotion as fia eyed him
"Yo how much you wanna bet uncle doesn't like this guy already"fia whispered to kenji who sat near his mothers and baby sister
"Uhhh kinda obvious don't you think sis"a teen boy said to her
"Well duh uncle may be a calm guy but he might still be a dotting father. He always dotted on thrud as a kid"kenji whispered with blake eyeing her son clearing her throat
"Are we gossiping behind someone back kenji?"she asked making him sit up straight as selene was messing with her gaulents right now
"Kenji are you planning a prank again?"she asked
"No! Just uhhhh well….ughhhh i don't even know how thrud is even dating that idiot chet"kenji admitted as other hoped on that
"You mean how he managed to get his head stuck during break in a laundry machine. "Lance piped up as thrud frowned
"Come on its not that bad hes a great guy"thrud argued but kenji tapped his chin rolling his eyes
"Uhhh thrud he literally acts like a complete idiot at times no offense…but he might be dating you because of who your parents are"he stated as nora went a little worried right now
"Come on that won't happen. Lets change the topic have the others had their babies yet i wanna see their whittle cheeks"nora sweetly said making a pinching motion as tex was drinking some coffee
"Right my wife she have another kid yet?"tex asked
"Nope but you have another daughter i'm sure that wanda girl."kenji answered
Yang was drinking some coffee as she had nou on her lap with the cat faunus playing with her mother hair as she allowed her daughter to do that and maybe blake.
"Right her shes a weird girl but we should get back on the topic at hand. That being the mighty blonde knight of team JNPR still being missing"yang pointed out which was a great concern for them right now especially lance as gwendolyn growled for a brief moment
"My dad…okay so whats the plan right now we just search the woods for him?"gwendolyn questioned but raven sat their having an idea right now
"No but…hmmm maybe you should have an expert tracker help you maybe well a fang themed friend daughter"raven commented peeking some interest as selene scratched her head
"Who are you talking about?"She asked but got her answer as someone entered the room laughing loudly
"That be me! Heyya auntie rae!"a female voice called out catching their attention right now
Looking toward the source it belonged to a women who seemed in her mid twenties for her age along with having pale skin. She had deep cobalt blue eyes with her having brown hair brushed to the side to cover one of her eyes. But she had a modest bust size with her having a quite atheleitc appenrace to her. Though she wore pair of brown pants with tears throughout the legs while she wore a deep maroon purple longsleeve with some midriff. Along with that she showed some clevage while sporting knee pads and elbow pads on her armor. But on her arms where a pair of metal gaunlents with her wearing black hiking boots.
Though strapped to her back was a pair of dualing swords along with something else. That being a pair of brown bat wings that had black on the membrane of it.
Raven chcukled walking over hugging the young women who returned it
"Luna its nice to see that your here is your mother and father with you?"Raven asked luna hayley the cousin of the two hayley sisters.
Luna groaned"no mom and dad are still on their little honeymoon…ughhh grandpa vlad be turning in his grave if he heard what my dad said."she said with a annoyed look
Nou got off her mother lap running over hugging the bat faunus legs as her little ears twithced around
"Auntie fangy"she cutely melting the bats heart as she picked her up gently squeezing her in her arms
"Awww its the cutie known as nou and oh whats this her ugly older brother"luna said with a grin toward kenji who shook his head
"Nice to see you too aunt luna"kenji replied back as yang got up cracking her back for a moment sighing as she stretched her neck out to limber up
"Well time for us to get going we got vomit boy senior to save. Come on we gotta get moving so get geared up now"yang ordered as they did with blake eyeing her son for a moment as he walked as she looked toward pyrrha for a moment
"Pyrrha how…is isa doing right now back in vale?"blake questioned making the red head look at her for a moment as she sighed
"Shes…struggling right now from what i last heard"pyrrha mentioned worrying some especially yang right now hearing that about her niece with suzu sighing right now
"Let me guess shes greiivng pretty hard for colt?"she asked as she nodded
"Adam found her avoiding sleep back in vacou as she well spoke of having a few nightmares lately everysince she…stabbed one of those assassins that tried to kill them"pyrrha said as they got silent with blake looking very worried for her sister daughter right now sighing as she covered her mouth for a brief moment
Which yang noticed walking over taking her hand making her stare at her for a moment
"Hey it'll be fine blake"yang reassured but for her it didn't really work
"Really? Right now your all about to go search for our friend who…who…"She paused on the words eyeing that man teammates with ren crossing his arms closing his eyes
"That will not happen. Nora make sure to watch their backs ill make sure our other children are safe. If they come here they won't lay a hand on them"Ren said with his wife nodding as soon enough the teens returned all geared up
"You all ready?"tex asked
"We are lets get moving"lance said with a serious tone as they began to leave the house as yang, pyrrha and nora came with. Along with tex and luna assisting them on this mission with blake praying right now everything goes well for them right now as she hoped her niece was okay
As the group left the main tent of the camp all they saw where the welcoming faces of the tribals here. With selene surprised on how welcoming they all looked and she saw them even waving to them.
"Its amazing how kind everyone is here"selene commented
"Yeah well we didn't used to be so kind back in the day if i recall"luna mentioned sparking conversation
"How so?"selene asked back
"Ehhhh lets just say the tribe used to be into the lifestyle of more…steal from everyone and whos every the strongest can stay in the tribe"tex explained as yang scoffed as she rolled her eyes at that
"Yeah well my mom and uncle showed them how we do things now. Besides its better this way i don't gotta worry about the cops being on my tail everyday"yang paused for a moment as tex eyed her down for a brief moment
"Right miss i still owe junior and my other wives money for breaking their bar back in mistral"tex warned as the blonde nerovusly laughed
"Uhhh what?"selene asked again
"My mom busted up a bar one time after some guy groped her in the chest. Xiong told me its a common occurrence with her at his place. Shes trashed it like four times now over the years"kenji said making his mother glare at him for that as pyrrha sighed
"Always with the temper problems lucky that my son doesn't have that"pyrrha said as nora grinned right now
"But hes got a girlfriend how did you two meet"nora cooed right now embarrassing the two as lance looked around for an escape goat. But suddenly someone called out to them right now
"Thrud! Kenji! You two are here?!"a voice called out to the two right now as thrud looked over smiling at someone right now
That being a seventeen year old girl who had a set of piercing emerald green eyes along with having flowing hair colored deep purple styled into a high bun. But a strange thing was on her skin that being it was pure white like a grimm hybrid. Along with that she had on a pair of cut skinny jeans on with some boots on. While she wore a maroon red t-shirt with a black long sleeve underneath it. As she had on a pair of earring that where styled like cloud as she had a nose piercing
But on her backside was a sabyr tail meaning she was a hybrid
Though as kenji saw her he almost blushed right now but thrud cheered running over hugging her as the girl laughed returning it
"Elu! I haven't seen you in so long how have you been girl?"she asked excited as she released her
"Great! Been pretty boring without you two here but the other made up for it"elu answered as the rest walked over with lance sighing right now
"Oh great its the other trouble maker of my two friends"lance joked
"Hey i don't start the trouble kenji does. How you been cat boy"elu asked as their was a brief pause of silence right now with kenji staring at her right now for a long time. Noticing this was tex who grinned sharing it with yang who bumped her son
"Ken you their son"yang asked making him snap back into reality
"Oh yeah! I mean its been uh….great! Didn't get on a team with my cousin but…uhhh uhhh….got a team with rabbit ears! Along with a cheetah faunus hes a great guy!"kenji said with a forced grin as elu smiled back
"Cool you all busy or something?"elu asked
"We are gonna go look for red here hubby"luna answered to the hybrid surprise
"Really? Well i hope everything goes well i gotta go help at the daycare today since my parents asked me too. See yah"elu said running off as once she was far enough yang smirked at her son
"Is someone head over heels for his fellow feline…well grimm feline friend"yang teased as he blushed very red in the face
"No! Lets uhh go! We gotta save vomit boy junior dad!"kenji said with haste as yang rolled her eyes knowing her son fancied that girl for a long time.
As they all got geared up right now tex was grabbing a ranch rifle right now as she slung it over her back. With nora loading a pouch full of grenades as luna was staring at the woods ahead of them with selene stepping forward
"How are we gonna track down where he is?"She asked
"Simply as this we know where we found the sword. Its not that far from the camp but…we need to be prepared for anything"luna stated as yang took point extending her gaunlents eyeing gwendolyn right now
"Gwen you stay here with backup incase we need to call for help got it"yang ordered as the women nodded
The group began to make their way though the mighty woods right now to their destination. As they did they ran into some minor grimm along the way but they managed to deal with them fairly quickly. Though as they where walking through the woods right now they were nearing something as nora brushed some branches
"Where here this is where we found jaunes sword"nora said as they looked at the sight
As it was a small oasis in a way with their being a waterfall along with a river leading further down the stream. But their was also some rocks around with foliage. But what caught some eyes where the spent shell casing and weapons around the area with dried blood on the ground which thrud noticed flinching right now
"What…what happened here?"thrud asked
"Grimm. I sent him out here with some others to deal with them but all i found where dead bodies and his sword. This is the best bet we have to find out where he went"luna replied as they began to search the area
As they did lance looked around for any sign of his father but he looked very troubled something that selene picked up on as she walked over kneeling by his side as he dug through some bushes
"Hey are you doing okay over here? You look troubled?"selene questioned
Lance scoffed"that obvious i guess right now?"he asked as she nodded
"Well how can i not be troubled? Like i said my dad is….kidnapped by someone and…and…god what if i…i…what if those guys who took him…k-kill my d–"he was stopped as he felt the comforting arms of selene right now as his girlfriend held him for a bit not wanting to let him go
"Hey it'll be fine from what i heard from you. Your dad is a tough nut to crack besides…you gotta show him your semblance show him your following in his footsteps"selene said making him feel a little more relaxed
"Yeah i…th–"he was stopped as tex called to them
"Found something you all might wanna see!"tex called out getting all their attention as they all ran over
"What did you find?"nora asked as the women moved some brush near a bush right now showing them something. That being a branch that had something tied to it that being a bright red piece of cloth which confused some
"A piece of cloth?"thrud asked but pyrrha looked surprised picking it up seeing where the stick was pointing sharing a look with nora
"This is something we came up with to tell us which way to go if we were lost. He has to be here"pyrrha said as they grabbed their gear continuing the trek through the woods to find the knight in shining armor
After another hour of walking through the woods they soon reached something. On a ridgeline right now they overlooked something. That being a small campsite right now but the people patrolling it caught some of their eyes. That being talon uniforms which luna noticed as she scoffed
"Talon soldiers…well lookie here we got ourselves our mark"luna stated
"Your not wrong but where is the mighty arc. Better not be dead or your wife gonna bring your soul back then kill her yourself"yang joked as kenji had some biccnoulars right now staring through them for a bit before spotting something. That being chizome and x-58 right now talking with each other as he didn't hear it
"Hey mom look over here its that weird chick we ran into and some…who the heck is that guy?"kenji asked with tex taking his binncoulours seeing what he was staring at as she looked puzzled
"Huh never seen that guy before but that chick definitely a robot i mean…she screams android"tex commented as yang eyed their situation nodding before getting their attention with a whistle
"Here the plan nora you lay down covering fire with luna here along with that you kids stay here. We can handle this"yang said but they were against that as lance gripped his sword tight
"No way i'm going in and your not stopping me"lance said before doing something that being him sliding down the ridge right now. This stunned them as kenji smirked as he took a running start
"Lets go arc!"he cheered leaping off as they got into the fray right now with a couple guards spotting lance. One aimed their rifle at him in an instant
"Intruders!"the guard yelled out to the others as they fired at the squire. But lance blocked the shots with his shield before leaping forward shield bashing them down. Then he swung his sword cutting through their aura as he got in an offensive stance at the ready
With two more guards aiming rifles at him to shoot him down. But kenji came in with a mighty war cry as he slammed his gaunlents down onto the two. It knocked them off balance as one tried to bash his head in with their rifle. But the cat was quicker swiflty gut checking them as they fell to their knees. With him cocking his fist back knocking them sqaure in the jaw to the ground for a knockout.
Then the second drew out a combat knife slashing and slicing at the cat several times. Kenji kept dodging it a few times to avoid becoming sliced up. But the soldier cut his aura a few times with them swiflty firing a sidearm into him as it knocked a large chunk of his aura out
The soldier laughed pointing their pistol at him"time to die you pest"They said but someone screamed in their direction
"don' t touch my kid!"yang shouted in rage before punching the soldier so hard they went flying straight into the woods. Yang snapped her gaze at kenji who flinched as the blonde helped her son up
"Do that again and your mince meat kenji!"she warned as he nerovusly laughed right now
"Come on he needed backup"kenji said gesutring to lance who was in a power struggle right now with some soldier as yang scoffed
"Fair enough come on lets beat them up till they beg for mercy"yang said slamming her fist together for a good brawl right now.
With her leaping forward as she swung her fist into a soldier side stunning them. Then she swiflty kept delivering several jabs to them stunning them. Before she reeled her foot back kicking it forward knocking them down to the ground. Though a sniper on a wall began to open fire on her
It hit the blonde aura a few times as the brawler scoffed as she flexed her wrist. Then her gaunlents extended from her wrist as she cocked her fist back. Throwing a few punches she hit the tower as the sniper was unpahzed by it laughing a little
Though their laughter stop as beeping was heard as they looked onto the tower base. As their was blinking red lights as these weren't normal bullets. The sniper screamed leaping off the edge as the tower blew up from the hit as the sniper groaned looking up to see yang smirking as she kicked them in the face knocking them down
With pyrrha and the others they rushed in with her effortlessly knocking a soldier down but suddenly selene was shot at by x-58 with chizome by her side as the man smirked seeing them
"Lookie here i got some interesting victims right now. Your going to be an interesting hunt"chizome said as thrud scoffed
"Man your creepy. Im gonna punch you so hard i;ll break your jaw for messing with my uncle"thrud stated as she roared running in as tex eyed her
"Dammit kid slow down and don't charge in!"she shouted but was ignored as thrud roared leaping forward swinging her mace down. But the two dodged it as x-58 went straight for tex swinging her glaive at her making the tribal dodge it just narrowly as she stared her down
"Tex graves wife of the traditor omega…your marked for capture by watts"x-58 said making the women growl at her switching her ranch rifle into a hunting machete colored silver with a brown grip on it as she clenched it tight in her hands
"You aint gonna get me that easily bitch"Tex said leaping forward to fight the women
But with thrud suddenly chizome came forward bringing a knife up slashing at her. But to the ginger shock she felt a stinging sensation on her cheek as she leaped back feeling her cheek. Pulling her hand back she saw blood which stunned her
As chizome laughed right now before doing something as he licked the blood off the knife which selene gagged at
"Thats disgusting your not normal"selene said but the man laughed before doing something as he snapped his fingers suddenly. Before suddenly thrud fell to the ground right now as she was confused as it worried pyrrha
"Thrud are you okay?"she asked but the ginger growled trying to get up but couldn't as she growled
"I can't move! Why…can't….i….move?!"thrud shouted in anger as the man laughed bringing out his machetes right now staring them down
"Semblance is pretty useful in m–"he was stopped as two grenades came down landing at his feet. Before the mighty war cry of an anger mother came down as nora was in the air screaming as she slammed her hammer down into the earth below her
Their was a loud thud in the ground as it began to crack even with a even larger dust cloud forming. But as the dust began to clear right now in the very center of it all was a very anger mother who growled gripping her hammer tight right now.
"Don't touch my daughter!"nora roared out swinging her hammer at the man but he was much quicker than her. With chizome flipping over her striking her back making her stumble as he grinned at her
"You'll be fun to kill"chizome said running in swinging both his weapons in tandem at that moment. But nora was quicker blocking it with her hammer handle as she grunted before shoving back with all her might. Then she reeled her hammer back before swinging it forward into him making him move back a few feet
Thinking of something new he drew out a throwing knife throwing it to try and slow her down. But as he did the throwing knife was suddenly stopped mid air before being throw right back at him as he saw the culprit being pyrrha who stared him down.
The red head ran in swinging her sword swiftly as he began to try and block her attacks at that moment. But it was hard with nora coming in but he side stepped a attack before kicking the gigner back in the gut hard. Pyrrha though raised her sword swinging it down hitting his aura which was a crimson blood red color as she gripped her sword tighter
"Your not killing anyone else"pyrrha siad running in to continue the fight right now
With lance and selene the two where trying to assist tex in dealing with the robotic women. But x-58 flipped over tex kicking her with both feet launching her to the ground. Though selene growled leaping forward punching and swinging her fist several times. But the assassin was quicker as she spun her glaive knocking the poor girl back a bit right now
Then selene panted for a brief moment before cocking her fist firing off a barrage of bullets at her. The bullets made a dent into the assassin armor as it went though her making her bodie leak white liquid but she seemed unfazed by the attack
Instead she drew a revolver firing it at her several times but lance came in for the save. With him swinging his sword at her making her aim off as her bullets hit the ground. He began to swing and swing at her several times to try and knock her down for the fight. But she was caught his arm after dodging a swing.
She laughed"pathetic worm"she said before tossing him hard away from her as lance landed on the ground groaning right now. As he did selene continued the fight as he looked up seeing what happened next
That being the assassin dodging his girlfriend attack before swiflty grabbing her arm. Then a loud snap was heard in the camp as selene cried in pain with her arm looking awkward as it was dislcoated as it angered him
"You bitch!"he shouted but close by someone spoke up
"Didn't think i raised you to say that type of words. Your grounded"a male voice spoke up close by as he looked up going wide eyed. As right now inside some hole in the ground as his father jaune arc standing up holding the bars
"Dad! I..i..your alive!"he cheered as jaune smiled seeing his son but running over was yang who noticed him along with the beard
"Dam arc you got a beard looking crazy again"yang joked as he simply chuckled
"We aren't their anymore but bust me out i gotta help you out. "Jaune siad as the blonde moved lance. Before she cocked her fist back punching the cage doors open. As it dented the lock as she threw the door open as easily jaune leaped up.
As he eyed down x-58 who was trying to stab tex right now as she was pinned against a tree. But he eyed the ground for a weapon seeing a sword picking it up as he tossed it in the air. Before he threw it forward as it soared through the air
He did it just in time as x-58 raised her glaive to attack and strike down tex. But suddenly something hit the assassin in the head. That being the sword as x-58 stood their for a moment as suddenly from her head sparks started to fly as she shook before falling to the ground.
Chizome looked over growling breaking his power lock with pyrrha as he went toward the woods
"This isn't over i'll be back….we'll all be back"chizome said before disappearing into the woods shrouded in darkness as they all paused for a moment as thrud groaned picking herself up before seeing who was out of his cage
"Uncle jaune!"thrud called out as pyrrha and nora looked over with relief on their face. Immediately pyrrha ran over hugging her love holding him close but he gently pushed her back
"Jaune i..i…your okay i–"he stopped her
"Not right now i need to help that girl who just got her arm broken"jaune said but yang looked over right now as tex was setting selene arm making her grunt in pain.
"Yeah i think your kids got that"yang said making him look over with wide eyes. As lance placed his hands on his girlfriends arm before channeling his aura into her arm as her aura glowed along with his as jaune smirked seeing a very similar semblance right now
Back at the camp the tribe was given some good news as right now they were celebrating a victory. As they had a small gathering around a bonfire right now with everyone else being told the good news. That being jaune who was alive right now being talked to by the others as fiye sighed in complete relief
"Thank god that idiot my husband is friend with is alive"fiye said in relief
"Come on i'm just glad he aint dead or worse then he'd be mopping and whining"emiko added but chapi stared at the man walking over hugging him
"Uncle"chapi cutely said as jaune chuckled petting her head
"Nice to see you too sweetie"jaune said but nora cheered hugging her older leader close right now with ren even smiling himself right now
"I'm so glad your okay! Because we need to tell you something amazing right now!"nora cheered as the man eyed his son who was sitting close to selene right now doing much better after being healed
"That my son has my semblance. To think that you would inherit that from me except for my blonde hair"jaune said drinking some tea prepared earlier but blake chuckled as she was brushing nou hair
"Thats not all he has from you he also has well…that girl next to him"blake siad making jaune choke on his drink. As selene blushed right now with gwendolyn snickering
"Here comes overprotective dad mode"gwendolyn cooed as the man was in shock to hear not only his son has his semblance. But he also got a girlfriend but instead of asking the girl he asked his son a question directly
"Lance if your treating her like some object or badly i will make you spar with me for a year straight."jaune warned confusing his son on if he messed up he would be in trouble for this
"What?! I wouldn't even do that i like her! I think shes cute! Why would i treat her like garbage?!"lance shouted with a few more compliments making his girlfriend blush more from those sweet comments he had about her. With kenji chuckling right now
"Dude chill out because i say this is a mission was a complete success right now"kenji declared
"I think so too besides what happened exactly? How where you captured?"ren asked his teammates and friend who sighed shaking his head
"Caught me offguard while searching the place. Assassin jumped me and that other man stunned me with a semblance. But he licked up and ate my blood so i'm guessing hes a hired gun"jaune explained as yuka was searching through her scroll.
"Ah here we are chizome a trained assassin for hire. Rumored to have been the murderer of several huntsman and huntress back during mistral before havan was attacked. My guess is he was linked to well you know who old circle of killers"yuka said making yang narrow her gaze for a moment thinking about this right now
As right now not only did her friend just get kidnapped by some assasin. But she eyed her wife and other child for a bit thinking how that assassin may just come back for revenge. Which made her think of something right now as she sighed
"Look with what happened today its not safe for us all to be everywhere at once. Blake i think you should head back to vacou with them"yang suddenly said to their surprise right now
"But why should she even go?"suzu questioned as the tribe leader sighed with jaune figuring out
"Simply if that assassin is here then he'll come back. He'll take whoever we care about and nou is still a child. Something he can use for leverage"jaune said in a serious tone making blake eye her daughter for a bit as she closed her eyes sighing
"Fine besides i should check up on my best friend. See if she had that other child…when should we leave?"blake asked
"Early morning gives us time to mess with lance since he took on uncle jaune nickname. "Liberty said as navi giggled
"Vomit boy junior and senior"navi teased as the two arc men groaned in unison as they shared a good laugh on that right now.
The fesitivtes for the night soon concluded as right now they made the long journey back to glory. Who took them back to the city as they where boarding the mantas to take them home as lance sighed staring at his home thinking to himself wondering what they'll see when they get back to the others.
It seems that jaune is alive and well as the group is heading back to vacou to see the others before the fesitivities start for vytal. But what surprises await them when they arrive? Thanks for reading!
