Chapter 21: Healing.
East Forest Mountainside, Colorado, Crossover Town, October 10th, 2012.
Mabel, Brian, Stewie and Hulk returned to Banner hideout, where Mabel just retired to a corner of the room and sat down there, pulling sweater over her head and effectively entering "sweater town"
"God poor Mabel." Brian said. "After all that… nothing."
"Are you trying to sound sympathetic?" asked Stewie. "If so, you suck at it."
"Stewie, Come on!" Brian said defensively. "She's obviously-!"
"She CAN hear you, you know." Stewie went on. "You think she's just deaf just because-!"
A sharp growl from the Hulk was enough to immediately shut the pair up, The great behemoth then glanced over at the girl and walked over to her, and stood there.
"Mabel's not here…" Said the girl. "...She's in sweater town…"
Hulk said nothing for a moment, then spoke. "Sweater girl… Lonely…"
"Yeah, No shit…" Mabel mumbled.
"Hulk… mostly lonely too…"
Mabel's head emerged from the sweater. "Yeah, Well no shit… Did you have to end up with your town blown up, your Brother conscripted into some glorified task force, and you having to end up in a Fourth Grade class, get picked on by some bitch just so she can frame some other kif for her illegal activities, AND LEAVE YOU HAVING TO GET SOME BIG GREEN GUY TO TRY AND FIX EVERYTHING?!"
The whole cave was silent after this outburst, Brian, Stewie and Hulk all looked at Mabel with wide eyes.
"So… That's a mood." Stewie noted.
Mabel just put her hand to her face.
"Hulk… Sorry…" And he slowly morphed back into Bruce Banner. "I understand how all that can feel, to a point… Okay who am I kidding I've never been good with kids, But one thing I do know… Is that you can't use Super strong Gamma Monsters to solve your problems by insulting actors who played them."
"...Uh, Yeah sorry about that." Mabel said, pulling herself out of sweater town.
"It's alright." Bruce replied.
"I honestly don't know much about Edward Norton." Mabel confessed. "I thought he was like Seth Green and Seth Macfarland.
"What?" Brian and Stewie were taken aback and a little offended.
"Yeah, Well we live and learn right?" Bruce chuckled.
There was silence for a moment, Until Bruce spoke again. "Doesn't your school have Security Cameras?"
"Uh, Yeah Why?" Mabel asked.
"I was thinking…" Bruce pondered. "If we could get the Security Records, they could show us all of Courtney's transactions, and show them to someone!"
Mabel rose to her feet. "Yeah, Yeah that could work!"
"But how are we gonna get back into the Town now?" Asked Brian. "After that whole fiasco the Hulkbusters are sure to be on high alert!"
Stewie then thought of something. "I think I've got a few… suggestions."
Later.
Crossover Elementary, October 11th, 3:00 AM.
Mr. Mackey looked over the paper work as presented.
"M'kay, and you say you guys are…?" He asked.
Mabel, Brian, Stewie and Bruce were all dressed up as Janitors, with fake glasses obscuring their faces.
"Uh, We're the… Security Inspectors." Said Bruce. "We wish to go over your Security Tapes to see if there's any, Illegal activity going on."
"Hmm, This seems highly irregular." Mr Mackey said, tapping his chin. "But if the state demands it, then I won't stop you, M'kay."
He than led them to the Security Office.
"M'kay, If you folks find anything, Just let me know, M'Kay." And the School Counselor left, Leaving the four interlopers to check the Cameras.
"Okay, Access Security Recordings…" Bruce said, as he sat down at the desk, with a row of Monitors right in front of him.
"This could make for a cool Horror game." Noted Stewie.
"All Recordings in the past…" Bruce stopped and whispered to Mabel. "Which Date should we check?" He asked.
"Try…" Mabel pondered for a moment. "September 4th."
"Why that date?" Asked Brian.
"Just… Curious." Said Mabel.
Bruce accessed a file and found a recording of the date's transaction. On the screen was Courtney and her goons, talking to a pair of disguised figures.
"I'm glad you came, we weren't sure you'd come." Courntey replied.
The first figure removed his hat and glasses, revealing himself to a large red Rat, with a bite in his left ear. "Your dear Mother recommended we come to you." Said the Rat. "Are you sure we're alone?"
"Quite." Said Courtney. "No One comes here after hours, Unless you count the after school clubs. For all anyone knows, this is one of them."
The other figure, A much more burly Rat, with Tan fur and light muzzle. Wasn't easy getting into town unnoticed either, We're recognizable here."
"Well don't you worry." Courtney assured. "What I have will certainly be worth it."
As she spoke, Kathy and Kelly pulled out a casket, and when the Rats opened it up, they found a whole stock of new swords and spears.
"Hm, Hm, Just got this imported all the way from Kotir." Courntey boasted. "Reasonable guy Verdauga, I wish good health to him."
"And these Weapons will do." Said the Red Rat. "Lord Jargafar thanks you for your contribution."
"And I wish him luck in blowing up that "Piedmont" Place." Courtney replied.
Mabel's eyes widened, her hands balled into fists, as she watched the rest of the recording.
Redtooth and Darkclaw packed up their Purchase, gave Courtney their payment and left, and it was then the recording stopped.
"My god…" Stewie gasped as he turned to Mabel. "Those were two of Lord Jargafar's Rats!"
"This would get her in jail for sure!" Brian added.
"Come on then." Said Mabel determinedly, a bright spark in her eye's. "Let's get what we came for."
Bruce extracted many of the Recording via hard drive and they left the room.
Meanwhile,
The towns folk soon came back from the Forest, with nothing but disappointed looks.
"He wasn't there at all." Bemoaned Richard.
"I suppose he's moved on by now." Mused Rabbit.
"Oh Bother." Sighed Pooh. "Now I suppose we'll never get the Hulkbusters to leave."
"Wouldn't that mean they're gonna leave?" Asked Piglet.
As they debated amongst each other, The Testaburger, Nick and Megan approached the Mob.
"Did you find anything?" Asked Valorie.
"No." Said Nicole. "Just as much luck as the Hulkbusters."
"And Mabel, Did you find Mabel?" Asked Harold frantically.
"Uh… No." Shrugged Moley. "We haven't."
"Surely you have to keep looking." Said Wendy. "She has to-"
As was suddenly cut off by a loud bang, everyone turned to see a flock of birds scatter into the air.
"What was that?" Asked Carl the Ferret.
Then suddenly, A Loud roar was heard from within the woods.
"Gasp! It's the Hulk!" Cried Tigger.
"Come on! Let's come right for it!" Shouted Jimbo and the mob surged forwards into the woods, Unaware of the Hulkbusters not too far behind them.

I also saw Deadpool and Wolverine today, and it was Awesome! A true love letter to the 20th Century Fox Marvel Movies, no matter how obscure or cringe they were. :) I encourage all of you to go see it if you already haven't.
And now, There's only three more Chapters of this to go and then we're back to Crossover Legends Season 2 Baby. :) Which I totally have not forgotten about. ;)
