The village Godric's Hollow was located in was very quiet and rather warm on this particular night, considering that summer was over. Although there were no people out and about, outside the church near the graveyard was a fox prowling.
Until the clock struck midnight, the fox scurried into some bushes, and at the same time, someone wearing a black cloak, their face barely visible appeared seemingly out of nowhere with a loud pop.
Voldemort took a stroll down the lane, past the graveyard and past the ruins of where James and Lily Potter once lived until that night he finished the two off. Eventually, he reached another cottage barely visible due to the huge Yew tree in the front garden. He pointed his wand at the door, it easily opened, then he strolled in and let himself into the kitchen.
Moments later, he heard footsteps on the stairs, then into the hallway, then saw an elderly woman holding a candle, asking "Who's there?" She takes one look at him, "Ahhh, Tom, is that you? How nice to see you!" Voldemort could have laughed. He points his wand at her. "Ahhh, Bathilda, long time no see, yessss so nice to see you, Avada Kedavra!" She flopped to the ground, the candle extinguished.
He then goes up the stairs and into one of the bedrooms where he sees on a windowsill a picture of a much younger Bathilda, along with James and Lily Potter. He fires a blasting curse at it, but it has no effect whatsoever, so he blasts the wardrobe in the corner, which instantly turns to dust.
Looking out of the window, he thinks back to the last death eater meeting and the news that was brought to him about Harry's disappearance. He could be overthinking things here, but what if Harry knew about his horcruxes and had disappeared from public view in search of them? What if Harry had disappeared like he had done to later resurface as the next darl lord? It may all sound absurd, but his suspicions were heightened ever since he lost the connection with the boy. Without this connection, he felt a great deal more vulnerable with no way of knowing whether or not the boy was in the process of overthrowing him or not.
But there was hope! If what the Malfoy boy said was true, Harry could be somewhere many miles outside of his comfort zone, even better if it was a big city, as he could launch an attack on Harry and devestate the population around him. Just think of the possibilities! A mass dementor attack that would be like no other, followed by mass killings.
He probably saved the idea for at least a month as this would require careful planning on his part, discussing this idea in the next meeting would be rather premature.
