This year has absolutely been crazy for fighting game announcements. First, we've had Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui crossing over in Street Fighter 6 as well as M. Bison's resurrection, then we had the announcements for B. Jenet, Kevin Rian and Vox Reaper in Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves, the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection and now we have Heihachi Mishima coming back from the dead in Tekken 8. I imagine there have been a variety of responses online, with some welcoming it and other hating it. Me personally? I'm not really a fan of the decision. It actually undermines the final fight in Tekken 7, which was meant to wrap up Heihachi's story, and now that he's back to life, makes the events of the game kinda pointless. Just like M. Bison in Street Fighter 6. I mean, why would you plan on making an emotional finale to Heihachi's story and build up his daughter, Reina, as the next antagonist if you're going to bring him back anyway? That's becoming tiresome. However, upon watching the trailer, I thought to myself; how would Kazuya and Jin react to his return?

Disclaimer: I do not own the Tekken series. It belongs to Katsuhiro Harada and Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Fallen Destiny Crater

Jin Kazama and his father, Kazuya Mishima, found themselves on the crash site of the comet they were fighting on moments ago, where Jin used his powers within his Kazama bloodline to nullify him and Kazuya from the Devil Gene, eradicating it from their blood and making them humans once more. The rain was pouring down the area and several tornados were swirling around the site as a massive storm struck down from the sky. Though he no longer had the Devil Gene, Kazuya wasn't bothered about that fact, as he was still determined to defeat his son and continue his world domination. After taking a few moments to catch their breaths, Kazuya and Jin got up on their feet and walked towards each other.

"We've lost the Devil Gene," Jin said. "We're nothing but a couple of humans now, you and I."

Kazuya scoffed at Jin's words. "So what of it? That was nothing but a means to an end."

"In that case..." Jin declared. "I'll stop you, here and now!"

"If you stand before me, you die," Kazuya told Jin. "Doesn't matter who you are."

"People like us shouldn't even exist in this world," Jin said.

"Such pathetic words, Jin Kazama," Kazuya sneered.

Jin and Kazuya then glanced at each other and tightened their fists before running at each other as the storm struck down at the site, feelings of hostility and hatred running down their blood. However, as they leaped at the sky and prepared to trade blows at each other, a mysterious figure suddenly appeared out of nowhere and punched both Jin and Kazuya, sending them landing on the ground. As they got back on their feet and took some deep breath, Kazuya and Jin saw the mysterious figure landing on the ground, revealing himself to be a man with a grey hair sweeping up behind his ears with a bald spot on his head, grey sideburns, spiky eyebrows and mustache and clad in a black karate gi with a tiger design on his back. Both Kazuya and Jin immediately recognized the figure as someone they knew all too well and were terrified to see him alive again, especially Kazuya, whose memories of his encounter with that man began to rush through his mind as he couldn't believe what he saw.

"Impossible..." Kazuya muttered, shocked by the appearance of the man standing in front of him. "You're supposed to be dead!"

The man, Heihachi Mishima, laughed at Kazuya's remarks. "Did you really think that damn volcano would do anything to me? You're pathetic!"

"You bastard..." Jin muttered upon seeing his grandfather, memories of his betrayal coming back to haunt him, as he charged at Heihachi.

Heihachi turned around and saw Jin rushing at him and attempting to attack him, only for Heihachi to avoid several of Jin's attacks and grabbing Jin by his right hand and lowering it down. Smearing at Heihachi, Jin raised his left arm and attempted to punch Heihachi, only for Heihachi to grab it and headbutt his grandson, sending him to the ground and knocking him out. Taking the advantage of Jin's defeat and sensing his hatred towards his father rushing through his veins again, Kazuya screamed and his father rushing through him again and ran at Heihachi, while the patriarch of the Mishima clan turned around and saw his son rushing at him and plunging his fist deeper into his chest, causing him to sprout blood on his mouth as blood began to come out of his chest. Kazuya then removed his fist away from Heihachi's chest and saw his father's body falling down on the ground as he succumbed to his wounds. Glancing at his father's corpse one last time, Kazuya let out a small scoff, contempt to having killed his father twice now, and walked his way through Jin's unconscious body, intending to throw him off the cliff.

However, just as he was walking towards Jin, Kazuya heard Heihachi letting out a grunt and turned around to see him getting up on his feet and recovering from his wound. Kazuya couldn't believe his eyes, as he thought he wouldn't survive getting punched through the chest.

"What the..." Kauzya muttered.

Heihachi let out a small scoff. "You will have to do better than that!"

"What do you..." Kazuya bafflingly uttered. "I JUST PUNCHED A HOLE THROUGH YOUR CHEST! YOU'VE SHOULD HAVE DIED FROM IT!"

Heihachi let out a malicious laugh upon hearing his son's confusion. "I am Heihachi Mishima! I am invincible! Nothing can hurt me!"

Enraged at seeing his father surviving getting punched through his chest, Kazuya ran at Heihachi and let out a powerful uppercut that struck him in the chin and sending him staggering on the floor. Upon seeing his father landing on the ground, Kazuya wasted no time in rushing through him and landing multiple punches in the face before he had the change to get up and strike back against him. Kazuya kept punching Heihachi repeatedly until his hands were covered in Heihachi's blood and stopped upon seeing his father's corpse was now lifeless. Kazuya got up and saw Heihachi's corpse one more time, now almost disfigured and filled with bruises due to Kazuya's beating, before turning around and walking his way towards the unconscious Jin.

However, once again, Kazuya turned around and saw Heihachi getting back on his feet, having survived getting beaten multiple times, even though an ordinary man should have died from it. Getting back on his feet, Heihachi couldn't care less about the fact that he was littered with bruise and was now nearly unrecognizable as he faced his son.

"Is this the best you have to offer?" Heihachi taunted his son. "It will take more than just a few punches to take..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Heihachi suddenly received a bullet to the head, penetrating through his skull and causing his body to quickly fall onto the ground. Kazuya had prepared himself by keeping a gun inside his pants in case anyone attempted to get in his way. Having finally killed his father once again, Kazuya dropped the gun on the ground and turned around to see Jin waking up from his coma and getting up to see Heihachi dead on the floor.

"Is he dead?" Jin asked.

"Yes," Kazuya coldly answered. "He will not interrupt our fight anymore." Kazuya then positioned himself in his fighting stance, which caused Jin to do the same thing. "Now, where were we?"

However, just as Kazuya and Jin were about to continue their fight, the unexpected happened; despite being shot in the face, Heihachi had recovered from his bullet wound and got up from his feet, glancing at Jin and Kazuya. Kazuya was petrified at what he had just seen, as he couldn't comprehend the fact that Heihachi had ended up surviving a bullet wound. He had survived so many near death experiences, such as getting exploded by the Jack-4s at Honmaru or being thrown into the mouth of a volcano, but surviving a bullet wound, which meant to kill someone instantly, was too much for Kazuya to handle, as he was getting exhausted by the many times Heihachi had survived.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?!" Kazuya screamed furiously at Heihachi. "WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE?!"

Heihachi laughed. "The Mishima family is invincible! We can withstand anything!"

"Then I'll stop you by any means necessary!" Jin declared.

Heihachi scoffed. "I'd like to see you try."

Jin tightened his gauntlets and ran at Heihachi, trying to attack him with multiple punches, but Heihachi was able to evade Jin's attacks and performed a deep right thrust into Jin's midsection, before launching a left splits kick at Jin and capping it off with another kick to the face and the stomach. Heihachi then focused on his electric ki energy and charged it into his right fist before lunging forward with right punch to Jin's face, sending his grandson to the ground. Witnessing the fight at hand, Kazuya began reliving the traumatic memories of the abuse he had endured from his father as he trembled with fear upon seeing Heihachi. Kazuya took some deep breaths and charged at Heihachi, attempting to strike him down, only for Heihachi to run at him and thrown a powerful uppercut that struck his son in the chin and sent him lying on the ground.

Having bested his son and grandson, Heihachi was finally ready to make his return known to the public and rebuild the Mishima Zaibatsu, which was destroyed by G Corporation after his "death". However, he had planned something to deal with Jin and Kazuya, intending to eliminate them to prevent either of them from taking everything he had built for.

"Now, it's time to put an end to his conflict once and for all," Heihachi declared before grabbing Kazuya by the head. "Come on!"

Kazuya grunted in pain as he felt Heihachi tightening his grip on his hair. "Let me go, you old fart! You will pay for this!"

Heihachi then walked towards Jin and grabbed him by his hair, causing him to scream in pain as Heihachi moved him around while grabbing his hair.

"Now, I shall reclaim what is rightfully mine," Heihachi declared. "But first, I will take you both somewhere where no one will ever locate you!"

"NOOOOOOOO!" Jin and Kazuya yelled at the same time.

Heihachi let out a malicious laugh as he maintained his hold on both Kazuya and Jin and moved them away from the meteor crash site. Before he could rebuild the Mishima Zaibatsu, Heihachi was prepared to teach both Kazuya and Jin a lesson, before going after the rest of the Mishima clan, such as Lars and Lee. Now that he was back to life, Heihachi had finally achieved what he had sought for so long.

Never mess with Heihachi Mishima.

And that's the end of the story. If the story appeared to be a bit absurd with its concept, I'm sorry, but that's the point of the fic, because I didn't know what to say about Heihachi's return in Tekken 8. At this point, this is getting silly. Like, the main point of Tekken 7's story was to conclude the conflict between Heihachi and Kazuya and Tekken 8 had his secret daughter, Reina, being built up as the next antagonist for Jin and Kazuya, but with Heihachi's return, what's the point of doing so? Like, it just makes the final battle of Tekken 7 entirely pointless. Still, I wanted to make fun of this idea by having Kazuya constantly try and kill Heihachi, only for Heihachi to come back to life and Kazuya getting baffled by that fact.

As for the somewhere Heihachi is taking both Kazuya and Jin at, he's obviously going to throw them off the cliff and now that neither of them have the Devil Gene, they don't have a chance of survival this time around LOL.

Let me know your thoughts on this story and I hope you liked it. Until then, stay safe and take care.
