Order was called.
Across every inch of the great Chrono-Citadel, within Quantum City, every version of the infamous warlord known as Kang the Conqueror took their places as they assembled with themselves, and their allies. Their leader, the great Kang, took to the podium, wearing a long purple cape around him, ready to start the session.
For many years, the Kangs had waged war for supremacy over all of time-and-space, against heroes or other variants of themselves. The war had lasted for decades, even centuries, without end, and much damage had been done to the threads of reality.
Now, the alliance of dangerous conquering variants were faced with something graver. Multiversal reports over the last decade had spoken of a world-ending entity that was capable of annihilating everything, more so than the reports of the infamous galactic overlord known as Z'or'ogh-Ro'gon.
Action had to be taken, and lives had to be preserved. Far too many worlds had been lost in the situation at hand.
"Kangs!" Kang declared into a microphone, "We assemble today, to discuss a pressing matter, a matter that has affected many universes! You all know, that universes can be destroyed, by time, by incursions, and by great apocalyptic powers. In the case of the latter, there are beings who wield such destructive power!"
"Is conquest involved?!" A Kang variant cried.
"No!" Kang boomed, "Only destruction! And this demon is capable of annihilating trillions. It destroyed a universe after taking down an entity known as Darkseid, who has counterparts out there! And... this monster may be coming here... for us!"
"We did not fight to lose everything!" A Kree Kang yelled.
"DOWN WITH THE DESTROYER!" An Egyptian-style version of Kang called.
"Burn him out of time!" Major Kang proclaimed.
"Just when is this entity coming?!" Someone cried.
Kang held up a hand. "Silence." He called, "We do not know when this monster will be here. And yet, it is only a matter of time until the shadow of death is upon us all. We must stand strong, even if we have to team up with... the Avengers. Or the Justice League."
Before he could continue with his speech. a chill crawled up Kang's back, and a dark shadow loomed over the area. The Council of Kangs cried out in alarm, and several Kangs began to scramble. The ground rumbled, and a bright light shone through the skylight. Kang turned, and his heart ran with ice.
A massive demonic alien entity with horns, red-yellow eyes, and a freaky cloak loomed over everyone that was Kang. One could hardly compare him to Galactus, not with that skull necklace he bore, and the most terrifying of vile smiles.
The sky burned red, and the ground shook again. Blue lights enveloped the area as Kang variants prepared for battle. Moments later, the encroaching demon spoke in a horrendous voice;
"Fools! You face the apocalyptic wrath of Ahl'zu'ohra'g'augh, the slayer of trillions, and obliterator of all universes within the expanding multiverse. Your weapons have no power against me, and all ants under my boot will be crushed, along with the ant hills from whence you came! Surrender, and I may grant you less painful deaths."
"Kangs!" Kang declared, "ATTACK!"
"Your efforts mean nothing!" Ahl'zu'ohra'g'augh boomed, "All of you have been bested in battle, time and time again, and your multiverse is doomed. All worlds will die, and new worlds shall form in my likeness. Your doom is inevitable, and I am eternal! The darkness will consume all, just as every atom in the universe is nothing to me!"
Even in those moments, the shots were already flying. Kang and his forces were geared up, and ready for battle.
The Kangs went forth into battle, with their technology at their disposal, and they charged the ominous Ahl'zu'ohra'g'augh in one massive swarm, even as the titan did not seem to be intimidated. Kang led the charge, with thousands of Kangs behind him, and his gauntlets glowed with immense power.
The conquerors launched their attack on Ahl'zu'ohra'g'augh, and began blasting him with waves of lethal energy, all determined to bring him down.
He sneered in a menacing fashion, and his arm came up to knock away the Kangs, who scattered everywhere as the devastator of worlds swatted at the conquerors. Kang ducked to ensure he wasn't wiped out in a microsecond, and he went for the face, aiming for the yellow eye above the red-colored ones.
He fired blast after blast, and avoided a flurry of lightning that rained down from the sky. If the great Kang went down, then he'd go down fighting bravely against this Ahl'zu'ohra'g'augh, and he knew there were other versions of himself out there, ready to keep conquering and fighting.
Kang Fighters swooped in, piloted by many pilot-savvy Kangs, and fired scores of lasers at the enemy while swarming around him. Kang watched as the great universe destroyer took a swat at the ships, and knocked one out of the sky with less struggle.
Down below, Kang soldiers accessed their heavy artillery outposts, and began loading the ammo.
They took aim at the monster, and opened fire. The shots struck Ahl'zu'ohra'g'augh head on, and he reached up while a red light shone in his hand, and a torrent of concentrated light rained down on the Kangs' artillery position, annihilating the Kang forces' weapons in moments.
Kang grouped up with a legion of his counterparts, and concentrated their quantum energy powers, with their sights set on their imposing enemy. With a bright haze of blue light, the Kangs fired a huge laser wave that slammed into Ahl'zu'ohra'g'augh's body. The titanic devastator grimaced briefly, then he locked eyes with the Kangs as his eyes gleamed.
"Kangs! TEAR HIM APART!" Kang ordered.
With a confident cry, the conqueror's army joined together, and launched a massive attack on their enemy in unison. The Kangs swarmed the leviathan like locusts, trying to decimate a persistent foe, and Kang joined the fray, even as he saw the grin on the enemy's face.
Moments later, a huge bolt of lightning struck a squadron of Kangs, and the conquerors screamed as they were disintegrated by the strike. Kang looked at Ahl'zu'ohra'g'augh, taken off guard, and watched as the monster raised a hand while his eyes glowed intensely, and the beast laughed.
"ALL EFFORTS TO DESTROY ME ARE FUTILE!" He proclaimed with menace, "EVERY ATTACK DELAYS THE INEVITABLE, AND YOUR DOOM IS NIGH! THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE IN THE UNIVERSE, AND THAT IS AHL'ZU'OHRA'G'AUGH THE OBLITERATOR!"
He snarled, and a bright crimson aura glowed around his body as a purple mist appeared. Kang looked up, watching as the sky cracked open, then he turned to see one of his counterparts' armor melt off. The helpless Kang screamed as he watched the skin melt off his bones, which turned into dust in seconds.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" A pair of Kangs screamed, feeling themselves dissolving and disintegrating.
Reality darkened and distorted around Kang, and he watched as his city crumbled into ruin. He saw stars going out, and planets began exploding. Ahl'zu'ohra'g'augh reached out to Kang as several more variants of the conqueror dissolved into slight traces of blood and bone and nothingness, and Kang felt his legs melt away in a second.
His vision darkened, and he looked into Ahl'zu'ohra'g'augh's eyes, just as he felt his own internal organs dissolve within his stomach. He breathed one last time, knowing he would be joining the other villains and conquerors of history in eternal condemnation.
And the universe came to an end with him, as the great destroyer whom many knew as Ahl'zu'ohra'g'augh laughed and relished in victory...
