Ritsuka Fujimaru is many things,
A high school student in the last year of high school,
Member of school volley ball club,
A Tokusatsu, Mecha, and Magical Girl fans,
Gacha game addict, which thankfully he able to hold his wallet most of the time…unlike his sister,
A casual anime enjoyer,
and a fraternal twin big brother by 10 second no matter how much Rikka denied it!
He considered his appearance as 'average', even with his black unkempt hair and sky blue eyes which can charm anyone the spending time with him. His body also quite fit for someone his age which something that he proud off!
Oh lets not forgot he also have a dream to have his own bakery in the future!
He got no tragic backstory, his life as ordinary as it can. He got a loving parent and a lovely sister. If there is something memorable about his past he can only remember one thing, it was the experience taking care his elderly neighbor along with his sister 1 week before his death
The old man family already gone and no helper available which ticked the Fujimaru siblings off but the old man is content just having someone to talks with at the end of their live
To be honest that accident shape the Fujimaru sibling view toward life. That they should celebrate good events when they happen and try to live a contented life even with no reward given to them before death
So yeah, Ritsuka is just regular high schooler that you can find anywhere

Honestly Ritsuka is dumbfounded. He really can't make ways about the blue box in front of him
As an anime enjoyer of course he know that it was a System thanks to various Gamer story that flooded the market but as someone that live in age of information, in modern part of city where superstition almost like a dying breed, the fact it even exist literally turning his understanding to the world upside down
"Am I dreaming?" He proceeded to pinch his face, it hurt.
Not convinced Ritsuka decide observe the details of his room, lucid dream exist and while he never experience it, various 'expert' on the internet always say you can't observe details inside a dream
"Seeing that I can actually interact with my room in such detail…"
Finally Ritsuka admitted it, the floating blue box in front of him is real

As someone that living in age of information where privacy is sought, the statement that his life will be watched as someone entertainment disturb him a lot. Ritsuka almost instinctively press the 'No' button if not for the fact one disclaimer statement catch his attention

Currently they are sitting on the dining table doing their breakfast together. That kinda an iron rule in the house, you can miss the other day breakfast but in weekend regardless everything you must sit on the same table
Its a countermeasure to make sure they didn't drifted out like many modern family out there. Communication is important, maybe this is a small and unimportant act to outsider but Ritsuka truly believe it was the reason why his family so harmonious
"We planned to marathon an anime" Rikka grinned "Its Haikyuu!"
"Is that so?" His mother nodded "then make sure do it after completing your homework, then I will have no problem"
"Don't worry we do that" Ritsuka replied "so is there some grocery that we needed to buy? I hate to go out later because we need to buy something"
"Some canned beer will be nice" His father replied earning a smack from his mother "Dear its weekend, and its still morning!"
His mother proceed to list some grocery needed to restock, which quite a lot
After that they start to share some interesting event in past few days, some news and gossip here and there
All in all it was a wonderful breakfast

Buying grocery despite the long list and finishing their homework didn't take much time. In no time the Fujimaru sibling nailed in front of TV
It can be said Sport Anime is awesome or Haikyuu is awesome. Sure there some part that unbelievable here and there but at the end of it it was a good watch.
Ritsuka enjoy every second of it though it was quite exhausting. In the end after Season 1 over they decide called it a day. 8 hours watching marathon will do that to you
When it was over the day is about to turn dark.

Dinner is also enjoyable, it can be said everyone face in the table looks exhausted but there smile in their faces

Keep in mind due to a bug, so long it considered as Devil Summoning ritual it was hijacked by this system even the one that not supposed work in the first place]

[The Job Tab work through random scan in whole Multiverse, the chance for user to found the exact same client is infinitesimally close to zero, to mitigate that, the user can put said Client into this tab. With that the System will allocate some resources to mark that Client, with that if the Client try summon the user again it will appear in this Tab]

[The downsides is, unlike the Job Tab, the time in Client Tab is synchronized with the user, so if the user didn't take the job, it can be lost forever. Thought due to Multiverse sometime there is a big time difference]
"...I see" Ritsuka can understand the logic in that, if their time didn't sync it will lead to many weird thing happening.
[Next is Achievement Tab…it exactly what it says on tin. It record the user Achievement while using the system]
As casual game Ritsuka can only smile wryly

[In this tab you can keep track the capability of your stat and various skill. The System creator dislike making status board because its soon filled with ridiculous number and a letter didn't convey those stats properly, thought due to popular demand he got no choice to add one. So here we are]
"Ignoring those stat that really on point I got a skill!? And two of them!?" Ritsuka is mind blown, he always thought he is a regular every dude but to think he got 2 skill "Am I really not ordinary after all?"
With that Ritsuka click at both his skill to their use

Ritsuka open the Inventory, a 9x5 grid appeared in front of him
[The inventory is not infinite but each box in the grid represent 1x1 meter box, so with some management even a single box can carry many things. To store bigger item you can combine many grid box into one]
"Well while its not infinite but having an inventory sure are convenient"
Ritsuka proceed picked up the box that emboldened with large letter 'Starter Set!'

[DxD Devil have an item named 'Evil Piece' a chess set that function as a way to turn any race except gods into a Devil. In theory it was a way to solve their low population problem, in practice it was slavery with extra steps because they can do that without any consent on both side, while trying to run will turn you energy inside of you unmanageable and turn them into monster]
"So this set can turn me into a Devil?' Ritsuka frowned
[This is not Evil Piece. This is 'Transcendent Piece'. It didn't change the user races. The only thing it do is to upgrade the user talent based on the piece.]
[A Rook piece will get a great Physical Strength boost. It also make them having easier time to learn many physical related technique]
[A Knight piece will get great All Around speed and agility boost. It also make them more easier to learn any technique that needed precision]
[A Bishop piece will get a great Spiritual boost. It also make them easier in learn many theory either Science or Magic. To use it is another matter entirely]
[A Queen piece will grant all above]
[A Pawn piece will allow it user to transform it into all above piece, when deep inside enemy territory or if the user in great danger for its life]
[Last not least, the King Piece. Its have the same ability as Queen but on greater scale. Also it can eject other piece from their user by force]
[Keep in mind the piece is ejected from their user, they will lost their boost thought anything learned still retained. So unlike Evil Piece, it didn't leave permanent effect]
"I see this surprisingly well thought" Ritsuka nodded "though I can think many way to abuse this"
[Nothing if foolproof, though the creator already tries his best]

Ritsuka is still a teenager, so no matter how small it is he getting excited at the sign of supernatural. After all a men still a child until they die!
"Oh lets not forget the Transcendent Piece" Ritsuka look at the Chess set "I think I am supposed to use King one right?"

After a few minutes experimentation, the King Piece finally absorbed by Ritsuka body.
It was exhilarating experience, Ritsuka feel his mind now really clear, his body while there is no change outwardly now filled with power, he feel now he can do anything
"Wow just wow" Ritsuka look at his reflection in the mirror. There is no change but he know more than anyone else everything about him now different
After a while Ritsuka frown before ejecting the King piece from his body. At that moment he can feel now as if his body is a prison even though it was his original capability
"...the gap between ordinary and genius really far huh" Ritsuka mused before putting all the piece back to his inventory "unfortunately while I already accept the supernatural and the existence of Multiverse, I am not ready become a genius"
"Maybe one day but that day is not today"
