"We got him. Now it's time to get some answers. Ladies and gentlemen say hello to the Woodsman. Hey. You're not the Woodsman. You're that gorgeous counselor from Big Moose." Fred says as the group catches someone in a net and sees its the woman from the lake.
"I'm Jessica." The girl says as she smiles.
"If you don't mind me asking young lady why are you sneaking around our camp after lights out?" Burt asks.
"I didn't mean to scare you guys but some of our camping equipment has gone missing. And well I thought it might be you Little Moosers playing a prank." Jessica says as she stands up.
"Little Moosers don't pull pranks. We leave that to those snobs at Camp Big Moose. No offense." Fred says a Jessica glares at him.
"Stolen camping gear? Monster attacks? What is going on?" Velma asks.
"Get out!" A voice says revealing to be the Woodsman causing everyone to scream and scatter before Alexis runs into the boys cabin waking up Luke and Deacon.
"Alexis what's going on?" Luke asks as he yawns.
"Yeah. You woke us up." Deacon says as Alexis sees the door open and sees Trudy.
"And me up. Hey!" Trudy says as Alexis pulls her inside and shuts the door.
"Shh." Alexis says worriedly.
"Are you okay?" Deacon asks.
"Well do you want the goods news or the bad news first? Ah!" Alexis says in alarm as an axe blade gets stuck in the door before it gets removed.
"What the heck is that?" Trudy asks as the group hears a laugh from outside.
"The Woodsmana and needless to say it's not Camo Big Moose pulling a prank." Alexis says before the group doesn't hear anything.
"Sounds like he is gone now." Luke says before the group goes outside and sees the others walking back into camp with Jessica.
*Timeskip*
"Like this place has everything." Shaggy says as the group is following Jessica as she leads them through Big Moose camp.
"It doesn't have everything." Fred says as he scoffs.
"Personal transporters. Computer lab. Cute boys. We don't have cute boys at Little Moose." Trudy says annoyedly as Alexis looks over at Luke and smiles.
"Mm. I disagree with that." Alexis says before Luke looks at her and smiles.
"Why couldn't I go to this camp?" Trudy asks disappointedly before the group follows Jessica to some buildings.
"About a week ago we noticed that some sonar equipment had gone missing from the Marine Biology Center. A few days later an RV disappeared from the Motorsports Pavilion." Jessica says.
"Most luxury RVs have GPS locators built in. I'll ping the area to see if it's sending out a signal." Velma says as she uses her electronic pad and pin points the missing RV.
"That's in the middle of Shadow Canyon." Jessica says.
"Shadow Canyon? They say that place is haunted
by the ghost of a lost hiker still searching for her way out. They call her the Specter of Shadow Canyon. Legend has it if you hear her terrifying wail you're a goner." Burt says as Scooby-Doo gives a fearful look.
"Dude I did not need to hear that." Shaggy says fearfully.
"The stolen RV is in Shadow Canyon. The missing sonar equipment that could only be used in the lake. If we're gonna get to the bottom of this I guess we better split up and look for clues." Fred says.
"Let me get this straight. There's a crazy man with an ax in the woods, a ghost in the canyon, a fish monster in the water, and you guys wanna split up and look for clues?" Deacon asks in shock.
"Yep. I'll take the lake. I wanna check out that building Scooby saw. Who's with me?" Fred asks.
"I'll go. I'm a certified scuba instructor." Jessica says.
"Scuba diving? Sweet. Count me in." Luke says as Daphne nudges Alexis with her arm.
"Count me in too. Sounds like fun getting to scuba dive." Alexis says.
"I'll come too." Daphne says as she glares slightly at Jessica.
"The rest of us will head to Shadow Canyon." Velma says.
"Oh no." Scooby-Doo says.
"Like you can forget it. Every time someone tells a campfire story it comes true. Scooby-Doo and me are trying to live a Specter-free lifestyle here. You can find us in that five-star dining hall when you get back." Shaggy says as he places a hand on Scooby-Doo's head.
"Maybe you should take Deacon with you. He seems a little freaked out." Velma says as she goes over to Shaggy as they look at Deacon who's taking puffs off his inhaler.
*Timeskip*
"Luke if the Fishman surprises us, I'll catch him with this net launcher. So there's no reason to be afraid." Fred says as Jessica stops the boat in the lake.
"Come on Alexis." Luke says as he gets geared up and dives into the water.
"Right behind you." Alexis says happily as she gets on her gear and follows after Luke with Jessica before the group is shortly joined by Fred and Daphne as they see a building in the water and begin to swim towards it. As the group is swilling toward the building Fred then gets attacked by the Fishman as Daphne saves him causing everyone to quickly make a mad dash for the building and narrowly make it through a small passage way where the creature could not follow.
"That was close." Luke says as everyone surfaces in the water of the cave area.
"No kidding." Alexis says.
"Are you okay?" Jessica asks.
"Yeah. Thanks to Daphne." Fred says.
"Anytime Freddy." Daphne says as she smiles at Fred.
"Scooby was right. There's a whole town under there. We gotta check that out." Luke says as the group gets out of the water.
"No offence but did you forget about the giant fish creature that almost nabbed my sister and Fred a few moments ago? The water is it's domain. We can't exactly outswim it." Alexis says as she looks at Luke.
"Alexis is right. We can't go back out there with the Fishman waiting for us." Fred says.
"Then I guess we'll have to see where this cave leads." Daphne says as the group looks at the cave tunnel.
*Timeskip*
"It feels like we've been walking forever." Jessica says as she rubs her foot.
"There's gotta be a way out of here." Fred says.
"Hey guys. I think I found something. There's a whole crate of candles here." Luke says as he finds a crate and pulls a red stick out of the box and lights it in the torch Jessica is holding.
"That doesn't look like a candle." Alexis says before Fred takes the stick and throws it as it explodes at a wall.
"That was dynamite wasn't it?" Luke asks.
"Yes. Yes, it was." Fred says as he looks at Luke who smiles sheepishly.
"And there's a lot of it." Daphne says as she and Alexis looks at the crates.
"But what on Earth would someone need so much dynamite for?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Daylight. That explosion just gave us a way out." Jessica says as the group hears birds chirping and begin walking toward the hole that the explosion created.
*Timeskip*
"Scoob was right. It looked like an entire town
on the bottom of the lake." Fred says as everyone is back at Camp Little Moose.
"I've heard of lakeside property but that is ridiculous." Shaggy says.
"It explains why someone was searching the lake with sonar equipment." Velma says.
"But what about the dynamite? How does that fit into all this?" Daphne asks.
"Yeah. It makes no sense." Alexis says as she notices Luke smiling at her and looks away blushing.
"Oh are you guys really gonna just sit around here and try and solve this mystery? Clearly someone doesn't want us to be at Camp Little Moose. We should listen to them. I'm going to Camp Big Moose where it's safe. Who's with me?" Deacon asks as he stands up as Shaggy and Scooby-Doo raise their hands before Velma growls at them making them quickly lower their hands as she smiles.
"Trudy, Luke, Alexis maybe it's best if y'all go with Deacon." Burt says.
"Absolutely not. I stick by my sister when it comes to mystery solving. Besides wolves never back down and I wanna know what's going on." Alexis says.
"Forget it. I'm a Little Mooser. I wanna help you guys catch whoever's messing with our camp. Besides somebody's gotta help protect the cute girls around here." Luke says as Alexis blushes at his comment.
"I wanna help catch the ghost too." Trudy says as she takes off her hood.
"Are you sure?" Velma asks.
"Yep. I wanna help solve the mystery." Trudy says as she smiles.
"Oh. You're all nuts! You hear me? Nuts! I'm out of here." Deacons says angrily as he tosses his hat down and starts walking away.
"I better give him a lift up to Big Moose. I have to get the jeep back anyway." Jessica says as she walks off with Deacon.
"It still feels like we're missing a piece of the puzzle." Fred says.
"What we need is an expert on this area." Daphne says.
"I know just the person." Velma says as she smiles.
"In the meantime Alexis, Trudy and Luke you guys get some sleep. We'll go find out what we can." Fred says as he, Shaggy, Scooby-Doo, Velma and Daphne leave.
