Hello.

I hereby dedicate this chapter to the patrons that have supported me for so long. I would not be surprised if they started supporting me because of this story in particular considering the popularity of RWBY at the time. Which is why I also have this announcement to make.

I am hereby ending this story! I am sorry to say, but I don't feel motivated to write this story anymore. The ideas I had for this story have sort of dried up. I will admit I was mainly inspired by react fics featuring RWBY cast reacting to Hellsing Ultimate Abridged. I kind of got caught up in the fun of those stories, and ended up imagining this different version of Remnant. But I've lost that fire and rather than just drop this unceremoniously, I wanted to end on a high note. So with that, I hope you enjoy.

RWBY is the property of Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum.

Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate belongs to Kouta Hirano.

Chapter 6: Winter Hellsing

Harkin was a man who HATED being inferior to others. Maybe there was some tragic backstory, maybe there wasn't. It didn't matter in the present time. What did matter was that he was trying to become the next Jacque Schnee. He had been one of the man's colleagues, supporting his different policies one way or another. After all, who cared about the lives of lesser people when there was money to be made. Not to mention, by riding his coat tails, Harkins had plans to rise up even higher.

So, the death of Jacque was indeed a great blow to Harkin's plans, especially when damning evidence of the man's crimes came to light. Both the legal ones such as getting his own wife killed and attempting to kill his daughter for inheritance, but also the ones that could not technically be punished by law though seen as crimes by the people. Part of the problem was that many of Jacques associates were also exposed. Perhaps they could have mounted some sort of offensive against Winter Schnee if given the chance. She had to have been responsible for this scandal. However, shortly after the death of Jacque, she made arrangements to leave Atlas! SDC was under some sort of proxy control, but still officially in her name, but they could not attack her directly. They had hoped that in her inexperience, she would retaliate through statements or other methods which they would take advantage of. But now, without her there, it was inevitable that Jacque's circle of conspirators tore each other apart trying to survive.

Nearly a year later, Harkin was the only one left from the circle. Of course this was due to him backstabbing all the others, looking out for himself. However, while he would hate to admit it, he was not able to avoid arrest through his own resources. The 30-year-old man was offered a helping hand from a mysterious group. Whoever they were, they were interested in the downfall of Winter Schnee, and that was reason enough for him to join hands with them. With there being no news of her status after leaving Atlas, it was assumed that she would still be unavailable for a while. After all, it only made sense that her return be announced ahead of time due to her status. For this reason, Harkin assumed that he had time to rebuild his resources so that he could properly take down Winter and even take over the SDC.

Which is why he nearly had a heart attack when he entered his office to find the woman herself sitting at his desk, casually looking through his files, acting like she had not been caught in some crime.

"Mr. Harkin." She said, not even looking up at him. "It's about time you returned. For a moment I thought perhaps you would not come back to the office. In which case I would have to hunt you down. While it would be easy, I have done quite a lot of that already during my time abroad, so I do appreciate you making things easier for me." her casual tone irked him greatly. It was as if she did not see her presence and actions in his office as a crime, and the way she talked about her time away as if it was some simple exchange study.

"Ms. Schnee." The crimson haired man growled. "I was not aware you had returned to Atlas. Surely you would not be so rude as to not announce your return to the public?"

"And why should I do that?"

"Because you are currently in charge of the SDC. It would reassure the public greatly to know you are properly taking charge of things."

"You mean give you proper heads up to prepare traps for my return." she casually retorted, making him flinch a bit.

"Regardless of what you might think, that gives you no reason to break into my office like this."

"And yet," Winter finally looked up. "Your guards not only failed to stop me from simply walking in, but they are also not responding at all to the silent call you sent through your scroll."

Her words made him jump back in shock. Getting past guards was one thing, but she somehow knew that he was trying to call his security to the room. Furthermore, she was right. Not only had they not arrived, but there also wasn't any indication on his scroll that they had even received the call.

"They will not be bothering us now." Winter spoke up, getting his attention again. "I had my associate put them to sleep. Not a permanent one mind you. After all, it can't be helped if their employer is a scumbag." Hearing all this, Harkin could not hold back anymore.

"Seems the little girl is getting a big head after taking over for the father she murdered." He accused, blatantly ignoring the fact that Jacque had tried to kill her, and she responded in self-defense. "Maybe if you had stayed in Atlas, you would have cooled off and realized you can't be making enemies with men like me."

"And what kind of a man are you?" she asked. "The kind who would accept money, guns, and packages from suspicious individuals so you can backstab your colleagues?"

"What! How!"

Winter silenced him with a Shush.

"My associate is taking care of the packages as we speak. In a few hours, everyone will know you helped smuggle dangerous weapons into Atlas." Winter stood up. "However, that's not even the whole truth. Though from the looks of it you didn't even know what you were really bringing in." She placed a hand on her saber. "But that does not excuse you or spare you from your due punishment."

Seeing her hand on the weapon, Harkin panicked and hit one last button on his scroll. A turret popped out of the ceiling and started shooting at winter. At such close range, no human could possibly dodge without getting seriously injured. But once again, his assumption was proven false.

As the turret ran out of ammo, the dust cleared. But instead of a bleeding Winter, Harkin was shocked to see her not only alive, but shielded by the claw of a Deathstalker that glowed pale white. Before he could even process what happened, she lunged forward and stabbed his heart all the way through. He didn't even have a chance to speak a word before pulling it back out, then cut his throat, silencing him as he fell to the ground bleeding. As a normal civilian, he had no aura to try to heal him at all, and no one was coming to save him.

And he died, bleeding on the floor of his own office with Winter Schnee looking down on him.

After she was certain Harkin had died, Winter pulled out a pocket watch, and started counting the seconds. Then the minutes. But she did not have to count too long before something...unnatural happened.

Harkin's corpse...spasmed. Limbs flailing around on the ground, head turning, gurgled moans escaping his mouth and sliced throat. The upper body shook so violently it was forced off the ground. It sat there; skin started to become wrinkled by the second. The head turned; dead eyes found Winter. The arms reached towards her...

A gunshot rang out and the head was blown apart, splattering the office with blood that was turning black.

"I must say." Came the voice of Jaune as he emerged from Winter's shadow, now wearing a red trench coat, larger red fedora hat, yellow glasses, and holding a smoking pistol in his hand. "This is quite a nice toy Walter provided for me."

"It seems that this mysterious enemy is making more progress on their vile research than we had expected." Winter commented, not bothering to respond to Jaune's words. "He turned much faster than expected."

"Though him turning into a zombie was already expected." Jaune added. "The good he was smuggling had enough of the virus to turn any town into an infestation quickly. And clearly, he was meant to join them."

"Whoever they are, I doubt they had any real plans for this scumbag." Winter concluded and started making her way towards the door. "Regardless, they have picked a fight with us. And it shall end in only one way."

"Indeed, my master." Jaune bowed with a wide smiririrk showing off his sharp glisteniiing teeth. "With them reduced to blood and ash."

"And as we send them on their way," Winter continued, "Hell shall Sing." she finished, walking out into the night.

Okay.

I would like to thank the patron who created Harkin. To thank them for their support, I asked them if they wanted to create an OC for Winter to kill and they delivered!

Like I said at the top, I am closing the book on this story. I am just...done with this right now. I cannot bring myself to continue this story. Yes I had plans, basically an alternate version of the events of Hellsing Ultimate. But now I don't have the energy for this story. In case you could not tell, I was making MAJOR changes to the world of Remnant.

Now, there is a chance I could come back. Heck, if anyone wants to take over or do their own version of this story then go for it! But for now, I am done here.
