(Back to Grenda and the other's several hours later...)
It was happening…
The nightmare that they thought wasn't possible was finally happening!
Bill cipher was free, and worse their very own Dipper Pines had betrayed them. "What are we supposed to do?!" Lazy Susan asked.
The town's people had already boarded up their rooms the moment the Gnomes said they felt danger, and now everyone was arguing about what to do next.
Grenda peaked out the window, to see several demons swarming around. She had to assume the worst happened to Mabel, Candy, and the others. It wasn't something she wanted to do, but she doubt Bill would have let them live.
She sighed and looked at her reflection in the window glass. "It's up to you now Grenda." She told herself, than with a loud whistle she got everyone to settle down. "Guys listen I know it looks bad out there, but if we don't do something all those people out there will be enslaved."
"Listen young man!" Preston snapped.
"Uh I'm a Girl." Grenda said.
"Really?" Preston was stunned, but shook it off. "Well yes anyways I hate to break it to you, but the war is over. We lost!"
"No not yet we haven't!" a voice said.
Everyone turned to see Wendy hanging from Mabel's grappling hook at the window.
"Wendy!" They all exclaimed.
"No it's Santa Clause!" Wendy joke. "But seriously dudes let us in."
Wendy's youngest brother raced over and opened the window; they embraced. "We thought you were-" her brother didn't dare finish.
"Hey man you know I'd never do that to you!" Wendy assured him as the rest of their family joined in.
Grenda watched hopefully as the remaining members of the group climbed in through the window. When she saw Mabel and Candy she practically tackled them with a hug. "Oh thank goodness. I was afraid I'd be-"
"In charge for once?" Mabel joked.
"Well we were gone for a while." Candy agreed.
"Yeah how did that go?" Mabel asked.
"Well I had the place boarded up" Grenda said nervously. "We stoked up on as much food as we could from the hotel kitchen down stairs."
"Not bad for a first timer." Mabel said encouragingly.
"Yes, you did good." Candy agreed.
"But I'll take it from here." Mabel told her.
Grenda gave a sigh of relief as Mabel got up on the center coffee table. "People and creatures of Gravity Falls I know you are scared!" Mabel shouted. "And I know you think this is hopeless, but I'm not asking you to defeat Bill; not today."
"Then what do you expected us to do?" Manly Dan asked.
"To help me save as many as we can." Mabel said. "Bill will enslave those too scared to fight, and kill those who do! Everyone deserves to live!"
"Sorry little girl. But it's everyone for themselves now." Preston said.
"Dad!" Pacifica snapped.
"Sorry pumpkin but that's life."
"And what if it were me out there?" Pacifica yelled. "Would you just stand by?"
"Darling you've been exposed to these kind of things your whole life." Preston argued. "I mean you lived in Gravity Falls this is normal."
"For us Dad, not them! They don't know the first thing about demons!"
"I on the other hand do." Wormwood said cutting in, "look the unicorn spell still holds firm in the ruins we can-"
"You expect us to go back there!" Crazy Susan asked. "That's crazy!" The town's people muttered their agreement.
"Listen now that Bill is free, one of the first things he's going to do is get rid of the unicorns!" Wormwood yelled over them.
"That means no more protection people!" Wendy said dumbing it down for them.
"Now there is plenty of room in the ruins for everyone!" Wormwood assured them. "But think of the innocent families who weren't as luck as us, or family members who lived out of town."
Pacifica suddenly gasped. "Mabel your parents!"
"I know." Mabel said with a quiver of her upper lip.
"But there all the way in California!" Candy pointed out. "How will you ever get to them now?"
"I can't!" Mabel cried. "It's a suicide mission, and I couldn't ask you guys to risk your lives when thy may already be dead by the time we get there."
"We have to try Mabel." Ollie assured her.
"They're right!" Wormwood said. "Well take the others to the ruins, and then we'll find your parents."
Tears streamed down Mabel's eyes. "Thanks you guys."
"Hey what are friends for?" Pacifica said giving her a hug.
Mabel held her tight, she honestly didn't know what she would do without her, or anyone else here for that matter.
Now that Dipper was gone…
'Oh God how will I tell mom and dad?' she thought bitterly.
Pacifica held her close as Mabel cried on her shoulder, anger filling her very soul! Dipper would get what was coming to him for this!
They all would…
Finally Mabel pulled away and collected herself. "We have to get back out there." She said.
"I agree!" Wormwood stepped in. "If we divide into smaller groups well cover more ground."
"Soos and I will go together." Wendy said.
"Ollie you stay with your brother and me!" Wormwood ordered.
Ollie nodded.
"Candy you and Grenda will go together." Mabel chimed in. "Robby you and Mcgucket will do the same."
I guess that leaves me and you." Pacifica said.
Mabel nodded, and gave Mayor Tyler a walkie-talkie. "If something goes wrong the rest of you must make a run for it to the ruins. The gnomes and the other magical creatures will lead you there!"
Mayor Tyler nodded gravely, and took the walkie-talkie. "Be careful Mabel, we're all still counting on you to lead us!"
Mabel nodded, than turned to her team. "Let's do this!"
"Alright guys you heard her!" Wendy shouted. "Roll out!"
The group of hero's used the grappling hook to slide down to the ground, and raced through the streets for any survivors, but before they could even separate into groups they noticed it!
The streets were empty, and quiet; too quiet! "Even the demons are gone!" Ollie whispered.
"Okay something isn't adding up!" Wendy pointed out as they kept to the shadows for safety.
Suddenly Mabel notices movement in the lobby of the hotel they just left. "Hey they're people in there!" She ran back to them.
"Mabel wait!" Wormwood warned as they all raced after her.
Mabel ran smack into the automatic doors that for some reason wouldn't open. "Hey let us in!" She yelled at the group of people as she pounded on the door.
The woman from behind the check in counter walked up to her, a tag labeled manager was clipped to her red uniform shirt. "Certainly but first show me your mark!" the lady said.
"Mark?" Mabel asked confused.
The woman revealed her right forearm.
Everyone gasped.
"The mark of the Cipher's royal crest, only law abiding citizens may buy rooms here!" The woman said.
"Look they are bare!" A small little girl gasped. "They are unmarked!"
The woman noticed her words to be true and narrowed her eyes. "You best be moving on if you know what's best!"
"We want no trouble here!" another woman said as she held the little girl close.
"Please we don't either." Wormwood assured them. "Listen to us we know a place where we can all be safe!"
"The way I see it, you are unmarked." The manager snapped. "Which means the safety you provide means we have to go into hiding! There is no stopping the Gods! We will starve if we go with you!"
"Yeah if your stunt doesn't get us killed by the demons first!" an elderly man from inside agreed. "At least this way we can have some kind of life!"
The manager looked at the kids before her and her eyes softened. "Please children let me take you to get marked. It's not safe for you out there!"
"I'd rather die!" Ben declared.
Big mistake!
The marked humans pulled out several weapons and the automatic doors open.
"Those who do not wish to please the Gods will bring trouble to us all!" The Manager screamed. "Exterminate the unmarked!"
"Oh boy!" Candy rasped.
"Guys run!" Wendy ordered as the marked ones charged.
The group took off, and Mabel pulled out her walkie-talkie. "Code red, code red!" She yelled into it! "Everyone get out of there now and get to the ruins!"
Muffled scrams come from the walkie-talkie, and then a voice answers; it's not Mayor Tyler! "Too Late!" The voice chuckled.
She knew that voice all too well! "Bill!" Mabel screamed. "Let them go!"
"Oh you wound me Shooting Star!" Bill's voice cooed from the walkie-talkie. "They will all be fine, as long as they become one of my subjects of course."
"Monster!" Mabel screamed.
"Come on Shooting Star give in!" Bill mused. "Think about it, this is useless! Besides now that your brother and I are hitched your royalty! Meaning you'll have it great!"
"I'll never join you!" Mabel vowed.
Bill sighed. "Pity and here I was hoping I could at least tell Pine Tree that he'd still have at least one family member left."
Mabel threw the walkie-talkie, and kept running; hoping that the town's folk of Gravity Falls would at least meet a swift, and painless demise. It was twisted way of thinking, but they had no means of saving them!
Bill was curse free, and they were fresh out of magic! It pained her to leave them behind, and she couldn't help but wonder.
If this perverted game of Bill's was really worth all of their lives!
(Back to Bill…)
Bill chuckled as he towered over the remaining town's folk of Gravity Falls. The humans huddled up in a tight circle trembling before him as the magical creatures encircled them, providing what little protection they could.
"Now you have one chance Mayor Tyler." Bill warned. "Surrender to my rule, or your batch of citizens and magical friends will be the first human slaves to fight monsters in the new Cipher gladiator games!" The God declared. "These games of course will be used to establish fear in the human population as well as punish the unmark for their poorly made decision!"
Mayor Tyler narrowed his eyes in rage and opened his mouth to speak, but before he could Bill stopped him.
"Careful Mayor you are speaking for all of Gravity Falls." Bill warned. "Including the children, who will undoubtingly be sold as slaves to whomever or more likely whatever can afford them across the entire multiverse!"
Mayor Tyler looked to the parents of the group that held on to their children for dear life, and found his anger leaving him; he bowed his head. "We surrender!" he said.
The magical creatures sighed, but held up their hands in defeat, after all they all knew it was a losing game.
"Good choice!" Bill laughed, and snapped his fingers, causing a red hot brander to appear. "Now who's going first…?"
