Chapter Notes

Author's Note's: Remember Time on Mewni goes by faster than Earth so it is actually two days after Rose receives the wand, but it's still only one day after the barrier came down on Earth.

(Back with Star in Mewni…)

The anger…

It coursed through her deeper than ever before!

'I will make her pay!' Star vowed. 'I'll make them all pay!'

It had been two days since Rose had received her mother's wand, and Star had been grounded to her room until she apologized to her "mother."

'Step mother.' Star corrected herself as she stared out her bedroom window. 'That witch is no mother of mine!'

"Star you can't stay locked up in here forever." Marco said as he came in with a tray of food.

"I'm not apologizing to her!" Star yelled.

"Star it's been two days." Marco said. "We can't stop them if you're grounded forever!"

Star knew he was right, but she was having a hard time swallowing her pride.

'They killed mom!' Tears formed in her eyes. 'They stole my father's kingdom, and his heart! They took my wand, my birth right!'

And worse of all, they were tearing her family apart; and risking the lives of the citizens and all of Mewni as a whole.

There entire plan would undoubtingly send the fourth dimension into chaos.

"Your right." Star said getting up to her feet. "We can't stop her with me locked up in here."

"That lets go get this over with." Marco said, but they never got the chance to even leave the room. What happened next caught Star completely off guard.

"Star!"

Star watched in horror as her father came stumbling into the room, blood was pouring from a gash in his throat. "Star!" He gasped once more. "Run!"

Suddenly a hellish laugh filled the room as Rose and her mother walked in.

"Well, well, well." Rose held up her wand teasingly. "It looks like Star killed Father in a jealous rage, because daddy gave the wand to me instead of her."

"You monsters." Marco stepped in front of Star protectively.

"Guards cease the Murderous Princess and her accomplice!" Rose shouted.

Trumpets sounded as the marching of loud angry footsteps thundered up towards them. "Star. Run!" her father begs once more, and then his eyes close, and he grows still.

Marco grabs Star by the arm and pulls her towards the window, he opens it and jumps out onto the landing below. "Star jump!" he says holding his arms out to her.

"Guards! Hurry their getting away!" Malena shouted.

"Star hurry!" Marco shouted.

Star climbed through the window, only stopping to look back at her father one last time. "I'm sorry." She cried. "I'll fix this, I promise!" And with that she jumped down into Marco's awaiting arms. "Run!" She screamed.

Marco didn't have to be told twice, he took the lead and the two ran down the stone steps towards the castle gates.

"Stop them!" Malena shouted. "They murdered my husband! Don't let them leave this palace alive!"

"Star where are we going?" Marco asked.

"I don't know!" She screamed as arrows came flying towards them. "Just as along as long as it's far away from here!"

Marco dodges the arrows the best he can, and they soon reach the last step; but the two don't stop to catch their breath.

"Cease them!" A guard shouts.

Star jumps on a nearby Warnicorn. "Marco get on!" she shouts offering him her hand; he takes it and she pulls him on the Warnicorn.

"Get them!" Rose orders.

The guards mound their own Warnicorns and the chase is on.

Star, and Marco race through the kingdom desperately trying to get away, finally the gates to the kingdom come into view.

"Close the gates!" A guard yells to the gate watcher. "Do not let them pass!" The gate begins to come down, ready to close them in; to seal their fate.

"Star we're not going to make it!" Marco yelled.

"Yes we are!" Star vowed. "Ya!" She order the Warnicorn to go faster, the beast jumped forward making it through the gate just before it closed.

"No!" The guards stop in their tracks.

"She got away my Queen." One of the guards said as Malena approached.

"Then go after them!" she ordered. "And when you find them, kill them!"

"Yes my queen!" The guards said their eyes glowing red, they were completely under her control as the king had been before.

"No you said I could have her!" Tom growled angrily! "I want what you promised me!"

"But Tom we don't need her." Rose told him. "When we get married you'll be future king, who cares about her?"

"I DO!" Tom yelled. "Do you honestly think I wanted you?! I used you to get Star, and now you want her dead!"

"You idiot!" Ludo shouted, coming out of the shadows. "You're lucky their all spelled otherwise our cover would be blown."

"I don't care you lied to me!" Tom was fuming now. "And now we're done!"

"But Tom!" Rose watched as the elevator appeared to take Tom home.

"I don't have Star, which means the underworld is no longer your ally." Tom said before the elevator sank down.

Rose screamed in anger, and rage. "That Star, the slut! Taking away my Prince! Oh she will pay!" She turned to the guards. "You will bring that Slutty Star back her alive so I can torture her to death!" she ordered. "Use that boyfriend of her's, Marco; as bait if you have to!"

"Yes my Princess!" The guards said, bowing their heads as the queen and her daughter began to walk away.

"Well now that's settled I believe it's time to crown the new King!" Ludo said with a smile. "Me!"

"Oh and guards one more thing." Malena said. "Get rid of this scum!" She ordered as she pointed at Ludo. "We have no need for him anymore."

"But we have a deal!" Ludo yelled as the guards grabbed him. "You said that you'd make me king if I gave you all their weaknesses!"

"Don't you see you fool?!" Malena snapped. "I used you! I mean honestly me marry a thing like you!" she laughed at the thought. "Take him away!"

"You'll pay for this!" Ludo swear as he was thrown out of the gates, and left to rot outside of the kingdom. "I will get vengeance!"

Malena simply laughed. "It's all mine now! The capital of the fourth dimension belongs to us." She wiped the tears from her daughter's eyes. "And soon they entire dimension will bow to us, and then Tom will be begging you to marry him."

Rose smiled at her words and lift her wand high. "I claim this dimension in the name of Queen Malena!" A powerful force of dark magic shot out from her wand, and the land of Mewni, and soon the entire fourth dimension was covered in darkness.

Malena chuckled. "It's all mine!" She mused. "And nothing can stop me now!"

(Back with Star, and Marco who are hiding in a cave in the forest…)

"Star what are we going to do?" Marco asked as the darkness consumed the world around them.

"What can we do?" Star said through tears as she sat on the cave floor. "We have no magic Marco! How are we going to stop a bunch of witches without magic?"

"We'll get more!" Marco told her.

"No you don't understand!" Star yelled. "There is no more magic!"

"Wait what?" Marco asked.

Star sighed. "Listen before Mewni existed the Fourth dimension was plagued by witches, who practiced a dark form of magic, which they learned from demons." Star explained. "For centuries the entire Fourth dimension was in ruins as these witches divided our people among themselves in small kingdoms. Before the witches, the fourth dimension had not known this magic existed, or where they had gotten it from."

"So how did you guys beat them last time?" Marco asked.

"We didn't." Star said. "Not really, you see my great, great, great, great, a thousand greats grandmother was a witch."

"Wait what!" Marco was amazed. "Your one too!"

Star nodded. "But my grandmother was different, she was born into the ways of magic; but unlike others who only saw it as evil, she was convinced that it could be used for good." Tears rolled down stars eyes as she continued her tale. "So in the privacy of this very cave she perfected a new kind of magic. She called it Light magic, because it was the opposite of the darker witch magic."

"Wow." Marco said amazed as he sat down beside her. "Your one thousands great grandmother created Light magic?"

Star nodded. "Before than Magic had always been seen as evil. I mean it came from demons!" she exclaimed. "So no one thought to ever use it for good, or even try too."

"But she did." Marco said.

Star nodded. "She than rose against her fellow witches and defeated them, exiling them out of the Fourth dimension." Star continued to explain. "She than united the fourth dimension under her rule, but her new subjects still feared for their future."

"What do you mean?" Marco asked.

"Witches were born with their magic, it had been given to their blood lines threw deals they had made with demons. Her subjects feared that the future heir to the throne would be corrupted by the magic they were born with and end up evil like all the rest of the witches before them." Star told him. "So my one thousands great grandmother used a spell, and took all the magic out of her family blood line and placed it in a wand; my mother's wand!"

A light bulb went off in Marco's head as the truth suddenly dawned on him. "Oh no!"

"That's right Marco, the only magic left in our dimension after the other witches were cast out was in my mother's wand, and now they have it!" Star snapped.

"All the powers of a whole blood line of witches!" Marco was shocked. "And they were going to give that to you? A fourteen year old?"

"My one thousands great grandmother allowed her child to be born without magic so that her daughter would not be born corrupted!" Star explained. "She gave her the wand on her 14th birthday, the magic of an entire family blood line was placed in her hands. The kingdom waited for her to turn on us all, but she never did. And do you know why that is?"

Marco shook his head.

"Because it's not that magic that's bad." Star explained. "It's the person's heart that is bad. That's why the wand changes with each ruler, it mirrors their heart; their true nature. My one thousands great grandmother raised her daughter to be good, and just. So when her time came to take the wand, it turned into a golden Heart, to mirror her perfectly pure heart of gold."

"So there's literally nothing we can do?" Marco cried.

"Not without magic!" Star said.

"Then we're doomed!" Marco said. "In less you know some demons who can help us."

Star's eyes suddenly widen. "Marco that it's!" she exclaimed. "We can summon a demon!"

"Star I was joking!" Marco said.

But, Star wasn't listening, she was too busy studying the drawings that littered the cave walls.

"Besides you don't know how to summon a demon!" he told her.

"No I don't." Star admitted. "But a witch does!" She said pointing to a drawing of a book on the wall. "Every witch has a spell book, and every book has a demon summoning spell; they use it for back up. You know when they get in a tight spot they summon a demon, and make a deal with them to get out of it. That must be how Rose and Melena still have powers. Their bloodline must have made a deal with a demon to have their powers granted back to them."

"But won't summoning a demon make things worse?" Marco cut in.

"We don't have any other option Marco!" Star said. "I'll get the demon to teach me to use magic without the wand. It will be difficult, but if anyone can teach you magic a demon can!"

"But what about payment!" Marco asked. "I'm not an expert on these things, but everyone knows a demon doesn't do anything for free."

"I don't care what it takes Marco!" Star said. "I'm stealing Rose's spell book, and summoning a demon to help me win back my kingdom! And I don't care what the demon wants, cause if it means every single one of them gets what they deserve then as far as I see it the demon can have anything he wants."

"But Star!" Marco exclaimed.

"I'm doing this with or without you Marco!" Star yelled.

Marco sighed, realizing there was no way to talk her out of it. "Fine let's go summon a demon."

Star smiled, and embraced him. "Thanks Marco." She said. "I knew I could always count on you."

"I just hope you know what you're doing." He said, hugging her back.

"I do." Star assured him, before her thoughts turned elsewhere.

'Don't worry dad where going to stop them.' She vowed. 'No matter what it takes! They will pay for what they've done…!'

Chapter End Notes

So I hope you were all paying attention to the parts where someone says. She will pay! They will pay, Or I'll get vengeance! Because these small details become very important later on in the story.
