They say it is wiser to forgive then to hold a grudge,
For a grudge is like a wild fire destroying everything in its path;
Leaving you to be consumed by the flames of your own rage…

(Back With Dipper...)
Irony…
Dipper never really understood it until now!
Here he was a demon, standing before an ignorant child; who he was about to scam into helping him destroy her world!
They irony of it all was that Dipper had been here before only he was the ignorant child, and Bill was the demon.
Yes the irony was noted!
But before he or Light could say another word on the matter the Marco kid got right up and their face, and started questioning them.
"Who do you think you are?" Marco snapped. "And what makes you think we want to make a deal with you! How do you already Know Star, And Why the hell are their four of you and-!"
"Whoa Diaz!" Light laughed putting his arm around his shoulder. "There's no need to get defensive." He assured him. "We're all friends here."
"How do you know my name?" Marco said jumping away.
"Oh I know lots of things!" Light said in a perfect impression of Bill. "LOTS OF THINGS!"
Marco jumps behind Star, shaking slightly. "Star these guys are insane!"
Star brushed him off. "You'll have to forgive Marco, he and demons don't mix well."
"Yes well Light isn't exactly the best at self-discipline." Dipper explained. "He doesn't get out much."
"So why are there two of you?" Star asked. "Are you guys like twins our something?"
"No, he's me!" Dipper said pointing at Light. "And I'm him!"
"Oh is this distracting?" Light asked. "Sorry I just got so use to having my own body for a change that I didn't even concentered that this might be confusing to mere mortals."
"So wait you guys are the same person?" Marco asked, peaking from behind Star.
"Yep you two got yourself a demon with a spilt personality complex." Light exclaimed. "I'm the wild, and deadly one with no sense of remorse or mercy!"
Marco gulped at his world. "This is bad Star send them away!"
Star of course ignored his please fully focusing on Light as he went on explaining.
"And Dipper over here is the human personality that keeps me in line, and then there our underlings, Yuko, and Magenta who you know; do our biding and such."
"But only powerful demons have underlings." Star said.
"What I don't look Powerful enough for you?" Light snapped. "Well fine then I guess you can go find another Demon of vengeance to help you. Oh wait YOU CAN'T!"
"Why not?" Star asked.
"BECAUSE WE'RE THE ONLY ONE LEFT!" Light screeched. "Seriously I thought the princess of Mewni would know things like this! Didn't your mother teach you anything?"
Tears filled Stars eyes. "My mother died when I was nine." She said as she sat down with her face on her hand.
"Way to go genius you made her cry!" Dipper snapped decking Light in the head.
"How was I supposed to know?" Light argued.
"You did know you insensitive jerk!" Dipper wacked him again, before turning to Star. "Please forgive him, he's heartless."
Star sniffled. "This is all her fault. If she hadn't killed my mother, than everything would still be okay."
"I know, and I wish I could help bring her back, I do." Dipper told her as he softly pat her head. "But sadly I am not a Time demon, but I can help you fix what's left of your life."
"You can?" Star asked, looking up hopefully.
"No he can't!" Marco snapped.
"Can so!" Dipper argued.
"Oh come on Star don't you see what he's doing!" Marco yelled. "He's playing good cop, bad cop with you!"
"What?" Star asked looking confused.
"OMG Star they said it themselves, they're the same person." Marco yelled. "They took on two forms, they have one side be totally heartless and insensitive to you, and then the other side pretends to rescue you!"
Light suddenly had the urge to behead the child before him, but Dipper gave him the look.
"Listen Marco, I could care less if you two make a deal with me or not." Dipper lied. "Besides it's you who called me remember, and I was very busy minding my own business too!" he floated back to the summoning circle as he spoke. "So if you two are done wasting our time we'll gladly leave."
"No wait please!" Star begged.
Light forced himself to stiffen a laugh. King was actually pretty good at this whole manipulating thing. Who know?
"I need you to teach me magic." Star begged. "My Step sister has my wand, and I have no way of fighting her or her mother!"
"So let me get this straight." Light jumped in. "You summoned me a demon of vengeance to teach you magic!"
"Please…" Star begged.
"You could have chosen any demon for this job, you had a whole spell book full of them in your hands; but you chose me!" Light lectured. "Now I wonder why that is!"
"Perhaps it's because you want to get even?" Dipper asked.
Star felt her body tremble, she didn't want to admit it, but yes she had chosen them for that purpose; to get even. So what was holding her back now? Of course she already knew the answer, it was fear. She was afraid of losing…again.
"Look obviously we made a mistake." Marco said interrupting her thoughts. "So you can just leave, and-"
"No!" Star stood more determined now than ever. "I want you to make them pay!"
"Star!" Marco warned.
"No I want them to know what it's like to have everything taken away from them!" Star screamed.
"Star please forgiveness is easier than all this!" Marco advised. "Even your assessors chose to exile them instead of get even."
"And look how much good that did!" Light argued.
"It's still the right thing to do!" Marco argued.
"You wouldn't be thinking that if you knew what they're planning!" Dipper shouted.
"What do you mean if he knew-" Star began.
"No Star don't encourage them." Marco warned.
"Yeah Star don't encourage us about telling poor Marco here how his family, and friends might not be alive right now." Light mocked.
"And all because you evil step mother decided that she wanted to take over the whole fourth dimension instead of just Mewni!' Dipper agreed trying not to look annoyed. He had to hand it to Bill this was a lot harder than the dream demon made it appear.
"What did you say?" Marco couldn't believe his ears.
"Oh only that mommy dearest has already taken over about seven worlds of the fourth dimension, including Second Earth!" Light teased. "But you wouldn't care about that, after all we must forgive others right?"
Tears threatened to fall down Marco's face, but he held them in. "Your lying!" he shouted. "My parents aren't dead."
"Your right, maybe their alive, but I'm not lying kid, We saw her plans Second Earth maybe just as bad as Mewni is right now!" Light told him. "But I can help you, I only ask for a small thing in return."
"What do you want?" Star asked.
Marco was too shocked to stop her from asking. His home couldn't be destroyed… Could it?
"I will help you get revenge on everyone who ever wronged you, and in the end I get…" Light paused for dramatic effect. "Your soul!"
"Wait you get my what now?" Star asked.
"You soul!" Dipper repeated. "We demons got to eat, and I've got five mouths to feed.
"Five?" Star asked. "You have five kids?"
"What no!" Light shook his head. "There's only two babies in the oven, but I've got to eat too you know, and so do the underlings-"
"Wait babies in the oven?" Marco asked suddenly snapping out of his despair by confusion. "I thought you were a guy!"
"I am." Dipper and Light said as one.
"Than how do you have babies in the oven?" Marco asked.
"And why would you put them in an oven in the first place?" Star agreed. "That is bad parenting Mr."
"No Star it's an expression!" Marco corrected her. "It means he's pregnant. Which is impossible since he's a guy and all."
"For a lowly human like you? Yes!" Dipper agreed. "But gender doesn't matter in the demon world."
Marco suddenly had the urge to barf "Okay I think I'm going to be sick now!"
"Anyway the point is, I'm a demon; I eat souls!" Dipper snapped. "And if you want your vengeance you must give me your soul. Get it?"
"My soul?" Star asked. That didn't sound so bad. After all did she really need her soul? Sure she supposed she'd want it if she still had something to live for, but…all her family was gone; so why wouldn't she want to be gone too? "Okay I've decided." Star said. "I will give you my soul, and in return you will teach me magic, and guide me in my vengeance against my enemies."
"Excellent!" Light exclaimed.
"But." Star added.
"But?" Light, and Dipper asked in unison.
"Marco is my friend." Star said. "And I promised to him he could go home once this was all over, but none of that matters if there's nothing to go back to!"
"Star…" Marco was stunned. She was making a deal on his behalf, and all he had been doing this whole time was trying to get rid of their only chance.
"I don't want you to just help me save Mewni!" Star shouted. "I want everyone under her evil thumb to be free of her rule forever, I want everything back the way it was! Once that's done than you can have my soul!"
"Alright we can do that." Dipper agreed as he and Light morphed into one form, and held out a hand engulfed in yellow fire. "Deal?"
"Deal!" Star agreed, and shook the demon's hand.
Marco knew this was a bad idea, but this time he said nothing as Star reached her hand out to shake the demon's hand, and shook it once. He had to go home, and if what this demon said was really true than he needed this deal as much as Star did!
"So what happens now?" Star asked as they still held hands.
"This!" Dipper answers, and engulfs Star in his Yellow flames.
"Star no!" Marco tried to stop it, but the underlings grabbed him, and held him back.
Star began to float in the air as the flames around her changed from yellow to pink, than with a flash of a brilliant white light she floated back down to the ground safely.
"Star!" Marco raced to her side the moment the underlings loosened their grips. "Star please wake up!" Star woke up to Marco shaking her.
"Marco what happened?" she asked.
"Congratulations Star Butterfly." Dipper and Light mused as they spilt in two once more. "The power that you were meant to have at birth have been returned to you." They said. "But be warned your stepsister still has the rest of the Butterfly bloodline in the wand."
"You know you could have warned her!" Marco lectured.
Light shrugged. "The point is you have your powers back just like you wanted." He said with a roll of his eye. "Now your first magic lesson is this!" he makes a small rock levitate before them. "There! Now practice!" he said getting ready to leave.
"Wait where are you going?" Star exclaimed.
"To collect pawns of course." Dipper said fishing inside his hat.
"Pawns?" Marco asked.
"Well of course!" Light said. "You see Diaz getting revenge is a lot like a game of chess. And you can't play chess without pawns!"
"In other words we need to make more deals with other people, deals that will ultimately help you meet your goals in the end." Dipper explained as he pulled out a book from his hat. "Here this is my book of magic."
"Book of Magic?" Star asked.
"Look I'll be honest with you, I'm pretty new at this whole demon thing." Dipper admitted.
"Really?" Marco asked.
"Yep and just like Star I had to learn magic from another demon and everything he taught me is in there." Dipper assured them.
Marco flipped through the old book. "Wow these are very detailed!"
"What can I say, I'm a nerd at heart." Dipper admitted. "Now can you manage without me for a little while?"
Star nodded.
"Good, Light; girls let's go!" Dipper ordered.
Light obeyed, wanting nothing more to than continue their quest for vengeance, the underlings followed him close behind.
Star looked back down at the book before her with a look of determination on her face. It was time to get to work…
