(Following Dipper & Light...)
"Oh thank gods I thought we'd never get away from those two!" Light exclaimed as they raced off into the night sky.
"Shut up you!" Dipper warned, seeing how they we're still pretty close to the cave.
"Oh relax they didn't hear me." Light assured him. "Now let's go, we got more souls to reel in!" Dipper rolled his eye, but ultimately said nothing as they continued on their way.
It didn't take them long to find what they were looking for…
"Oh when I get my hands on that witch I'll-!" Ludo kick up some dust in a huff. "Oh how I'd just love to show her how it feels."
"We can help with that!" Light exclaimed jumping out in front of him.
Poor Ludo jumped so high in fear that for a moment, Dipper almost mistaken it for flight. "Who-who are you?" Ludo asked shakenly.
"The names Light and this is my Partner Dipping sauce!" the green pine tree demon joked.
Of course Dipper's response was to hit him upside the head, "The name is Dipper Cipher, and we couldn't help but over hear you desires for vengeance."
"So what's it to you?" Ludo snapped.
"Well being a demon of vengeance, it happens to mean a lot to us." Light answered rather annoyed.
Ludo's eyes lit up. "A demon of vengeance you say?"
"Yep!" Light answered.
"And you want to make a deal with me?" Ludo asked dumbly.
"Well if you insist." Light said with a chuckle. 'This guy isn't really bright is he?'
'No not even a little.' Dipper answered mentally.
Of course this is exactly the kind of Pawn they needed, someone stupid; but useful. "Just tell me what you want." Dipper said.
"I want the wand!" Ludo exclaimed. "And I want that witch and her dumb daughter to pay!"
"Okay, and in return what will you give me?" Dipper asked.
"Whatever you want, just give me the Wand!" Ludo yelled.
Dipper smiled. "Whatever I want?"
"YES!" Ludo screamed.
"No questions asked?" Light smiled as well.
"YES!" Ludo screamed louder. "Now do we have a deal or not?" Ludo hissed, holding out his hand.
"Deal!" Dipper and Light morphed once more, and eagerly shook his hand.
"So what did you want anyway?" Ludo asked.
"OH no!" Dipper reminded him. "No questions asked remember."
"Okay fine whatever!" Ludo shrugged. "So now what?"
"Now you go back to whatever boring thing it is you were doing, while I get to work." Dipper answered before he and his underlings disappeared.
Ludo just blinked blankly in disbelieve, he was no better off now than before he made the deal. "Stupid demon!" he snapped, kicking up more dirt, not realizing that it was he himself who was the real fool.
And a very big fool at that.
(Back With Star...)
"Okay Marco you read the instructions, and I'll follow your lead." Star said.
Marco cleared his thought as he turned to the lesson of levitation. "Okay so the book says if you can levitate you own body than you can pretty much levitate anything."
"Okay that makes sense!" Star said. "What's step one?!"
"Step one take a deep breath, and let it out-"
Star took a deep breath and let it out quickly, causing Marco to be blown out of the cave and across the way by a big gush of wind.
"Marco!" Star ran after him.
"Slowly." Marco coughed up some sand. "I was going to say let it out slowly!"
"Oops." Star gave a nervous laugh. "Sorry Marco, I guess I got a little excited there."
"Excited?" Marco asked.
"Yeah it just feels so great not be helpless anymore." Star said.
"Well you are still helpless." Marco told her. "Until you get this right." He wasn't sure why he was suddenly committed to the part of being her teacher, but he was. Perhaps it was the fact that he really wanted to get home, while it was still there. "Now focus!"
"Focusing!" Star exclaimed as she stared really hard causing lazars to come out of her eyes!
Marco ducked for cover, "Star!"
"Sorry I just can't seem to get a handle on this thing." Star confessed.
"Okay just close your eyes, and breathe slowly!" Marco ordered sharply.
"Okay, okay!" Star did as she was told. "Don't be so pushy."
Marco took a deep breath along with Star. "Okay now imagine you're dreaming."
"Okay" Star did as she was told.
"Now you can do anything in this dream." Marco said. Bid mistake!
"Can I turn into a dragon and spit fire!" Star asked.
And apparently she could, because that's what she did, and Marco screamed as fire rain down on him.
"Marco!" Star turned back to normal just as a chard, but otherwise perfectly okay Marco fell to the ground.
"Ouch." Marco cried.
Star bit her lip as the realization hit her. "This going to be harder than I thought." She admitted.
Unfortunately she didn't know the half of it!
(Back with Dipper & Light...)
The Underworld...
Somehow Dipper imagined it a little scarier, but then again he assumed nothing could be scarier than Bill's version of hell.
Light couldn't agree more besides they weren't here for the scenery; no they were here for the love sick demon who happened to be throwing darts a poor innocent individual that he had tied up to the spinning wheel.
"Please no more!" the poor pathetic thing begged.
But the demon named Tom just kept right on throwing darts, never missing his target!
"Tom my boy!" Light took over their form, and raced on up to him. "the name's Light, and boy do I-"
"If you know what's best for you, you will go away!" Tom hissed, as his eyes and hair were set ablaze with red hot fire.
"Fine." Light shrugged. "I was just going to say I could help you get Star back, but If you're not interested-" Light squeaked as he was grabbed by his hat and pulled up to face an even angrier Tom.
"No Games demon, what do you want?" Tom hissed.
"Well you see Star and I are going to kick the queen off her throne, but we need an inside man." Light explained.
"Sorry but I'm no longer-" Tom began.
"True but you could be?" Light said.
"Keep talking." Tom ordered.
Light didn't like to be ordered around, after all he was stronger than this pathetic demon, but he also needed a pawn; and it was always wiser to pretend to be weak around other demons, just in case they tried to double cross you. That way you could hit them with a little surprise of your own. "Think about it all you have to do is tell Rose you were blinded by her beauty, say you're sorry and she'll let you back in."
"And when do I get Star!" Tom asked.
"The moment the queen dies she will fall in your arms." Light assured him. "Deal?" he asked holding out a fiery hand.
"Deal!" Tom agreed and the demons shook hands.
"Good now wait until tomorrow to patch things up with Rose K?" Light advised.
"Yeah whatever." Tom shrugged, and went back to throwing his darts at the poor sap.
But Light didn't care, he had gotten what he wanted, and now it was time to move on to their next target.
(With Rose in the Castle…)
"Stupid Star!" Rose screamed as she chopped her ax down on yet another one of Star's statues; beheading it!
"Wow that's some rage there."
Rose turned, her wand ready. "Who said that?" she demanded.
"I did!" Light said appearing before her. "The name is Light, and I'm here to help you with your little problem."
"You're a demon." Rose realized out loud.
"And you're a witch." Light teased. "What are the odds?"
"But I didn't summon you." Rose said.
"Nope, but I just happened to be in the neighborhood, and I couldn't help, but notice your predicament."
"What predicament?" Rose snapped, not wanting to admit the truth.
"Oh you know the fact that your prettier stepsister Star stole your man!" Dipper teased as he appeared beside Light.
"She is not prettier than me!" Rose yelled.
"Tom sure thinks so." Light taunted.
"Yes and that's all that really matters!" Dipper agreed.
"What do you want demon!" Rose yelled.
"It's not about what I want." Light said.
"It's about what you want." Dipper cut in. "I can promise you Tom will come rushing over here begging for forgiveness come tomorrow morning."
"Really and what do you get out of it?" Rose snapped. "I know how this works you want something!"
"Okay you caught me." Light admitted. "I do want something…" he paused.
"Go on." Rose urged, getting slightly impatient.
"I want that wand!" Dipper said.
"The wand?" Rose looked down at the wand. "But your demon you don't need this wand."
"And you're a fully realized witch." Light pointed out. "You don't need it either."
Rose bit her lip thinking about it. "Mother won't be pleased if she finds out."
"Then don't let her find out." Dipper said. "Besides it's your wand, you can give it away."
Rose looked unsure. "If I give this to you, you'll make Tom mine!"
"Well I'm no love God, but I can promise to eliminate the competition." Light vowed. "That is if for interested."
Rose watched as the two demons morphed into one.
"So do we have a deal?" he asked darkly, holding out a fiery hand.
Rose looked at the wand, than back at the demon. "Star will be out of the picture?" She asked.
"Scouts honor!" The demon vowed.
"Alight, deal!" They shook hands, and then Rose gave him the wand.
The demon took the wand, and Rose watched as he sucked all the power out of it.
Dipper could help but feel a buzz as a new sense of power filled him, he took every last drop of magic from the Wand, and then he stuffed it in his hat for safe keeping. "There pleasure doing business with you!"
Rose just watched as he disappeared, wondering if the demon actually planned to fulfill his end of the bargain.
Dipper left the girl, and floated through the castle looking for his next target, it didn't take him long to find her.
"I thought I smelled a demon!"
Dipper turned to see his last and final target. "Queen Melena." He exclaimed.
"Or should we say soon to be EX Queen Melena." Light said mockingly as he appeared behind her.
"What, where did you hear of this!" Melena snapped.
"Star Butterfly summoned us to get rid of you!" Light said. "Unfortunately for her all she asked for was magic without her wand."
"And you're telling me this because?" Melena asked.
"I'm a demon, and I crave excitement. And no offense lady, but you look like you could use my help."
"I'm not making a deal with you." Melena snapped. "I worked too hard for all this."
"Which is why it's going to be even more shameful when you lose it all." Dipper pointed out.
"Who cares if Star uses magic, my Rose has the wand; she'll never get a fair fight." Melena pointed out.
"Oh you mean this wand?" Light held up the wand mockingly.
Melena's eyes widen. "That foolish girl Give it to me!" she ordered.
"Sorry, but I promised it to someone else." Dipper laughed. "Besides it's useless now, I took all its magic."
Melena looked like a snake ready to strike. "You will pay for this." She began.
"Whoa, hello earth to evil Queen I'm on your side here!" Light explained.
"Really?" She asked sarcastically. "Because I honestly couldn't tell."
"Oh come on don't give me that, I'm a demon; I'm a mediator. I'm not on anyone's side really. I just go about my business waiting to be summoned so the excitement can begin." Light said defensively. "Besides you can still defeat her."
"How!" Melena yelled. "I've taken everything away from her now. She's got nothing to lose!"
"Wrong she still has one person." Light corrected her.
"Who?"
"Marco." Dipper said. "He's her only friend, the only one really on her side. Besides I sense they may turn out to be even more than friends sometime soon."
"So you're saying I kill him?" Melena asked.
"No that will just fuel her rage." Dipper warned her.
"You need to capture him, before the final battle, hold his safety over her head." Light advised.
"I know that!" Melena Snapped. "It's already in the works."
"Then I guess we're done here." Dipper said.
"So no deal?" Melena asked.
"Not in less you want to make one." Dipper asked hopefully.
"I want the new royal bloodline to be my family!" Melena suddenly said.
Dipper wasn't sure he liked the sound of that, after all he promised Star everything would go back to normal, and he couldn't make that happen if an evil blooding took over after she was gone.
'Well she did say her family bloodline.' Light pointed out to him mentally. 'Maybe there is someone good in her family.'
'There is!' Dipper thought, yes he could feel it now… The queen was with child!
A child untouched by the evil of her mother, and her people…
"Okay I can make that happen!" Dipper promised, holding out his hand. "And in return you will do us a small favor." Light mused.
"Whatever you want, it's yours." Melena promised.
"I want your unborn child!" Light said.
"Wait how did you," Melena was obviously shocked.
"I'm a demon, I know all, see all." "For example I know the reason why you and the king got married so quickly." Dipper shook his head. "Your child is eight months old, but you've only been married for a little bit over a week!"
"How shameful!" Light hissed.
"Listen you want the child you can have it!" Melena snapped. "I already have a first born to take the throne. Hell I wanted to get rid of it sooner, but I feared the loss of our unborn child would snap River out of his trance."
Dipper suddenly had the urge to snap her neck, how could someone not want their children. How could they just willingly abandon them! He found himself touching his own pregnant belly absently. 'That's exactly what they'll think! That I abandon them.'
'That I didn't love them!'
'King we're doing this for them.' Light reminded him. 'So that they can have a chance at a real life.'
'I know but it doesn't make it hurt less.' Dipper held back the tears as he spoke. "So it's a deal."
"Deal!" Melena agreed.
The demons morphed and shook the witch's hand.
Melena gasped as yellow flames consumed her, and then moments later her unborn child appeared in Dipper's arms wrapped in a pink blanket.
The young baby girl cried loudly, and Dipper rocked her gently. 'You will do nicely.' He thought. "There you have what you want now leave, I have a hook to bait." Melena ordered.
"You don't want to name your child?" Dipper asked.
"Heavens no I want that pest out of my sight!" Melena demanded.
Dipper sighed. "Very well."
Melena watched as the demon disappeared with the child thinking her victory was at hand. However the only thing Melena managed to do was tighten the noose around her own neck…
