It was a warm spring morning in the land of fire, cool winds passed through the air, blue skies covered the lands. Ninja jumped from rooftop to rooftop as civilians went about their day. Mirthful chatter filled the air of Konoha's Ninja academy as friends talked before class started, as they filtered into the classroom. Many students both male and female gathered around one child, sitting in the middle of the classroom, who gracefully navigated the crowd who formed around her with experience. The prodigy of her generation and undisputed next heir of the hyuga clan, Hinata.

Laying his head on his desk one blond kid frowned at the crowd "Whats so special about her? Why does she get all the attention while I don't" The boy mumbled, not at all jealous of the love and attention she got from students and teachers alike.

"Mastered her clan's tai-jutsu style last year at age 9, learnt the academy three at age 7, and 2 more c-rank fire style jutsu at age 8. And she is learning medical jutsu after normal lessons let out." The blonde boy's desk mate, Shino Aburame stated "While you Naruto Uzumaki are -"

"I don't want to hear this from the person who pointed out who the teacher are screwing me over but won't lift a finger to help or vouch for me." The now scowling Naruto turned his head to he could focus one eye on his one time friend. "and please just skip the 'clan politics' excuse today, you know I won't accept your reasoning, and I know you won't help the 'dead last' because your dad said not to."

Shino frowned and pushed his glasses up. His former friend spoke the truth, they became friends when Naruto saw shino catching bugs the two played together for the rest of the day. And the next day, and they day after that, days became weeks, became months, became years. The two boys found themselves alike both lonely and judged unfairly by their peers; for Shino it's because of his clan's association with bugs, and for Naruto it was because everyone told their kids to. Shino found that odd so he started to pay attention more to Naruto and how the adults acted around him to figure out why he was treated the way he was but only found more questions and no answers. Through his observation the bug user found that the academy teacher were overly harsh on Naruto kicking him out of class for little to no reason, he also found that they were teaching him incorrectly. Shino told Naruto what he saw and the two made a plan where Shino would tutor the boy and both would go to the hokage with Shino's findings. However when Shino told his father, Shibi, about their plans the man vetoed it. When Shino questioned his father why he could not help his friend he said that if a clan heir interfered with the school it could cause political upset that could hurt the clan. Shino' bugs noticed subtle movements from Shibi noting he wasn't being fully honest, but Shino couldn't push the issue further with out getting in trouble. When he relayed the news to Naruto the boy was understandably upset, even more so when the hokage refused to believe him without the Aburame's words backing him up. And thus ended both kid's first friendship and for Naruto his only friendship.

"What are you smiling about Hinata?" Sakura asked the famous prodigy.

Hinata laughed "Oh nothing I just heard some good new about some clan politics."

Naruto scowled while he couldn't hear what she said, he knew from how she looked at him after she laughed that the hyuga bitch was laughing at him.

Naruto grumbled at being thrown out of the library again, "Only ninja can access the chakra exercises we hold here! But Ohhhhh Sasuke Ohhh Hinata why don't you two come here and read this new jutsu scroll we have!" He mocked. How was he supposed to become a ninja when his teachers wouldn't help him and every other place he went kicked him out? "It doesn't matter, I'll train so hard without your help and become the greatest ninja ever! I'll become the Hokage!" He yelled to the building as he planned on a little unauthorized borrowing to get back at the librarian later that night.

Recompense he justified it as, stealing from the academy and other places when they refused to treat him right. Not much different than his pranks. He started his recompense program after Shino told him about the sabotage he was subjected to. He didn't do it often, in fact this is going the first time he will be braking into the library. At first it was only the poor excuse for a school he targeted but he added some shops that gave him spoiled food or refused to serve him now. But the school was still his most hit target, using skills he gained from pranking he snuck in at night and stole scrolls on chakra or tai-jutsu exercises he needed or a study material he was kept from despite it being handed out to other kids (the ones he got were either modified or were tattered with pages being outright ripped out. usually he left a stink or paint bomb as a thank you for services not rendered. It also let him play off his B&E as a prank if he got caught doing it, for some reason vandalism of the the ninja academy or other places in the form of pranks is forgivable, with the only punishment having to clean up his mess; but stealing is considered a crime and that can lead to a criminal record which ment expulsion and jail time. He still thanks his Jiji that he defended Naruto, even though the instructor Bekkō tried to have him jailed when he caught him that one time.

The stealing not only helped Naruto gain the study material he was lacking (now that he had the same material as everyone else, he was doing as well as kiba in academics, if only he could get that damn clone jutsu down he'd be ahead of him.) He was also building a case for himself in regards to proving he was sabotaged. Turns out academy teachers pass notes to each other despite getting angry at the students for doing the same thing! Letters were written to each other on what they were going to teach the students and what not to teach (or to intentionally teach wrong to) Naruto. The notes on Naruto's sabotage were next to lesson plans but explicitly not part of them, making note to do this subtly. This lead Naruto to believe it was a conspiracy between teachers and no one else, also they made extra care to not let Iruka catch on so Naruto knew he wasn't in on it and would be against it. Naruto collected these notes when he could, and come when he was graduated or at 12 he would plop a big folder of the notes on his desk. He thought about showing Jiji them when he first found them, but got cold feet after for three reasons; one he wasn't sure which teachers were in on it or not, if someone escaped judgement they would target him worse while covering their tracks better. Two similarly to one if for some reason this wasn't enough to fire the teachers they would make his life hell, when he was 12 or if he graduated early he could get a private tutor and, Jiji would make sure it was someone who cared for him. And finally he wasn't sure if the hokage would believe these notes alone he wanted a shining kunai, some larger piece of undeniable evidence.

Dropping back down to reality he decided to go get some ramen and make a plan on how to get in and out of the library unnoticed. If he only looked up he would have seen a white eyed, blue haired, heiress watch him be thrown out of the public building, smile to him and say "Good luck Uzumaki-kun…" before dispelling into a cloud of smoke.

Hinata sighed as kabuto watched her cut up the cadaver, stolen from the hospital, "Why do I need to do this busy work Kabuto? It's not like we will find anything new. The Nara have no bloodlines, and their hidden jutsu are well know by our lord already, Sakon already claims to have mastered it."

"aww is the princess bored? Does she want to see her charming little thief steal some scrolls from the library?" The white haired boy mocked "Don't worry he'll be fine, you should focus on the body in front of you. We aren't looking for new jutsu secrets this time; the Nara being the medical geniuses they are, invented an experimental compound that can induce a certain level of natural healing. They were taking it out on a field test on this man's squad, too bad the mission info was leaked hehe.

"And you want me to find it so we can reverse engineer it." Hinata sighed activating her byakugan she started poking the body again.

Kabuto laughed "I'm glad I found you all those years ago, a little princess scared of her own death taking a medical class, now look at you dismantling corpses all on your own. I'll be back with the other bodies."

Hinata sighed as he left "As smart and talented as he is, he is an extreme ass."

Getting into the library was simple enough, there were no seals or any other forms of security covering the vents, a flaw many goverment buildings in konoha had, so Naruto transformed into a small dog and snuck in. Rigging the librarian's desk to explode with ink when opened, the prankster chuckled "that'll teach you to kick me out for nothing." He then went to find his goal, some chakra control exercises.

Walking down the halls of the dark building, with only books and scrolls as company was an experience for Naruto, one both unnerving and exciting. Also very frustrating because he couldn't find what he was looking for. Not his fault he didn't understand Tobirama's decimal system, he was never taught it. Making a mental note to ask Iruka to teach it to him later Naruto sighed he was getting sick of checking every single shelf, only to find nothing useful. He was about to just give up and come back when he got Iruka's help but then he saw something that interested him, a scroll that was misplaced. Opening it up the blond student gave it a quick read it was a lightning jutsu. Naruto thought back to what Shino said about Hinata, "If she can learn fire style then I can learn cool jutsu too." With this he transformed back into a dog and climbed through the vents again.

Naruto ran into the forrest to train with the scroll he found, eager to learn what secrets the scroll had for him. Running through the thin path in the woods Naruto searched for a clearing to train in. Naruto decided to veer off the beaten path to find a more acceptable ground to train in. Passing by some white haired medic Naruto nodded and received a smile in return, He knew he shouldn't but he felt an immense joy build up in his heart from the small amount of respect. Making his way down the path Naruto happened upon a clearing with a small grotto. "A secret cave! It's the perfect place to train, maybe I can even make it a hide out!" the blonde boy thought as he climbed into the darkness.

Naruto winced as the small pebbles fell from the ceiling again, he shakily moved towards down the tight tunnel "man I thought this would be a big open thing like the movies where I could train in secret." The boy said to him self as he carefully walked along the path. "oh look there an opening!" Naruto walked quickly to see…

"You just gave me the last body Kabuto, its going to take a little longer than that to extract the compound." Naruto's blue haired classmate said dryly as she poked the body not even looking up.

"Hinata? Wh- what are you DOING?" The blonde boy blurted out.

Hinata's had shot up and both children locked eyes with each other fear and confusion shown on their faces.

An: so here's the first chapter guys im really happy with how this came out. i want to mention a few thing right away,
first off shibi refused to let Shino vouch for naruto for a few reasons: 1) he thought it could be an attempt to keep Naruto weak until he proved to be more 'loyal.' Even though Naruto always shouted he wants to be Hokage Naruto also had no problem pranking Civilians and ninja institutes considered "sacred" (in this case by konoha norms leaving many to question his love of the village.
2) the reasons he gave, the other clan head would have tried to through their weight around and both clanless ninja families and civvies would throw a fit if shino intervened sloppily. he didn't want the heat on his clan and as much as he trusts his son, he doesn't think a 9 year old can handle the delicate matters.
3) although he knows it's illogical he feared Naruto, saw him in some part as the fox. remember Konoha never really had know of their jinchuriki. for all they knew they didn't have one and the nine tails could not be contained and for all purposes was a demon from hell itself.

secondly Naruto is upset this chapter but he is still his usual happy self. he loves pranks and mischief still but after being proven that he was sabotaged he is rightfully upset. he only steals what he needs and what everyone else has.

thanks for reading everyone and have a nice day :)
