Hokage Office

Kakashi was enjoying the silence of the Hokage office, Shizune wasn't on his case this morning whether it was because he informed her Naruto had made great strides in his Kage training or if it was one of the rare slow work days he didn't care. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth he was leaning back in his chair reading his favourite Icha-Icha novel enjoying the nice breeze and natural sunlight shining through the open window

Slam*

"Kakashi-Sensei!" yelled Naruto as he burst through the door letting it slam

Kakashi felt the hidden Anbu tense up but he waived them off if Naruto noticed he didn't show it as he paced back and forth in the office. Suspecting that his peaceful morning had come to an end he sighed before asking "What is it Naruto".

Naruto paced back and forth "Have you read the newsletter that went out this morning?" he spat out quickly looking nervous

Kakashi shook his head "No in fact I haven't received today's newsletter" Seeing that whatever had Naruto disturbed "What was in it?" he asked fearing what it could be

"Someone revealed the truth that Itachi was under orders from the Third Hokage and Danzo and that he was still under orders operating as a Konoha spy in Akatsuki it even explains how the relocation of the Uchiha District was meant to separate them from the rest of the village to cause dissension between them and everyone else" Naruto spat out in a nervous ramble grabbing at his hair " Kakashi-Sensei what do we do the others are out confiscating as much of the letter as they can I have clones out there helping but I was at Ichiraku when I overhead people talking even as I made my way here people were discussing it in the streets!!" he cried

Kakashi sat in shock at the situation seeing that it could already be a complex situation seeing how worked up Naruto was and he didn't seem to know if Sasuke had a part in this despite agreeing it should be kept secret and laid to rest or how he would react to Konoha seeing the truth or how the citizens of Konoha will react.

"Kakashi-Sensei!" Sakura came bursting into the room halting once she noticed that Kakashi wasn't alone glancing between Naruto and Kakashi she asked" Have you heard what's going on outside?"

Kakashi nodded before turning to his Anbu" I need you to gather the Head of each clan and tell them they are needed for an emergency meeting" Waiting for the Anbu to leave with his message he turned to his students "Naruto I need you to gather the rest of your generation while Sakura gets Tsunade and Shizune"

Nodded her head in understanding Sakura asked "What are you gonna do

Kakashi sighed "I'm gonna send a scroll to Sasuke letting him know the situation and that I'd like him to return" taking out a piece of paper and getting started on his scroll

Naruto winced "Yeah I'm not looking forward to his reaction to everyone knowing the truth after he decided to let it rest since that was Itachi's wish"

Kakashi nodded "Yes but something tells me having Sasuke here will make things go smoother than if he was travelling when I address the citizens who will come expecting an answer, especially the Clans" He finished writing his letter standing up and exiting his office knowing his students were following he called the hawk left by Sasuke attaching the scroll " Get this to your master with haste" seeing the intelligent bird acknowledge his words he let it fly off before turning to his students "we'll I Better start making my way to the council room you two go get who I told you and meet me there"

With a nod of their heads, they dispersed.

Land of hot water

Sasuke was annoyed having travelled from Iwa to Kumo looking for a Mountain a man said he heard a group of bandits who kidnapped mention before he was able to escape of course in his panicked escape he didn't hear the name of which mountain or what land it was in, that's how he ended up spending the last month visiting random mountains and listening out for missing people cases which have all gone cold.

Making his way further into the land of hot water heading toward Sound Counttry to see what Orochimaru knows about missing people or Mountains that could be used as a hidden base Sasuke couldn't help but shiver at the cold he still felt in his bones from the land of frost and the land of lightning mountains feeling the warmth up ahead he picked up his pace finding an opening through the foliage he's been walking through finding a natural hot spring.

'It's been a while since I soaked in a hot spring and I guess I'm not in a rush to see Orochimaru, the missing people could be factored in as Shinobi's just going rogue due to lack of missions or people just running away to elope or simply fleeing stressful lives to start new ones somewhere else' Sasuke thought taking off his clothes before getting in the spring relaxing as the heat seeped into his bones 'The mountain could have just been a local one and the bandits had been using it as a temporary camp and were planning on using the man for ransom but his escape caused them to pack up and vacate the area, which would mean I wasted a whole month on a wild goose chase but that's better than a secret organization lurking in the shadows' with that thought he closed his eyes fully resting

Scree!!

Sasuke eyes flew open scanning the area before his eyes locked in on one of his hawks glided over his head before landing on the ledge he was resting against decided he should get out not knowing how long he'd been here since he dozed off before the hawks cry, getting dressed as fast as a one-arm man could he frowned 'maybe taking the arm created from Hashirama cells isn't a bad idea' he thought before deciding against it 'The stuff Hashirama cells did to Madara and Obito isn't what I want and would it awaken a next Rinnegan?'

Finishing getting dressed Sasuke walked back over to look at his reflection in the water brushing his hair aside to reveal the Rinnegan in all its glory 'An eye that I feel drains me more than it should' before focusing on his other eye letting the EMS spin to life 'I know only possessing one Sharingan doesn't make me less Uchiha but I feel like having two Rinnegan would make me closer to whatever The Sage was & What Madara was tryna become' decided that Cells are more trouble than its worth he started thinking of other ways to restore a limb 'Orochimaru's snake shedding technique might be able to but might just be due to the unique makeup of his body and Juugo has a natural healing factor but I couldn't restore body parts with my Curse mark and that was based off Juugo' Sasuke continued to stare lost in thought

The hawk seeing his master distracted pecked at him before giving out a next cry "Scree!" seeing it got Sasuke's attention it lifted off the ground while pointing his feet towards him to notice the scroll. Having finally noticed the scroll attached he grabbed it letting the hawk rest on his shoulder afterwards unfurling the scroll and gave it a read Sasuke's eyes widened before creating a portal feeling the drain on his chakra from the action 'Need to find a solution to this Rinnegan chakra drain problem guess that and the arm are gonna have to wait till after this issue in Konoha' he thought before entering the portal.

The title of Chapter 1 is based on the title of the first Bleach manga chapter Death & Strawberry referencing Rukia and Ichigo whereas in this case, Tomato represents the last Uchiha Sasuke and leeks are a vegetable that sounds like leaks since the leak focuses on the Uchiha situation I thought it fit
