Chapter 8

Spider-Man and Caulifla were fighting on air, Spidey having the upper hand for once as Caulifla had a brawler-like fighting style which was put against Spider-Man's trained and experienced fighting style. Spidey still made sure to not let any of Caulifla's blows get on him as he knew they would hurt... A lot.

"Stay still you prick!" Caulifla shouted, wildly throwing blow after blow.

"Nope, I like to have my organs intact, thank you very much." Peter joked while dodging all of her hits.

Caulifla was getting frustrated, so she threw a ki blast to a bystander, Peter went to save the likely victim, getting hit by the blast, this gave Caulifla the opportunity to hit Peter in the gut, who groaned. Caulifla then gave him a low blow which hurt Peter, every man in the multiverse must've felt a shiver running through their spine.

Peter had a vein popped on his forehead with anger because of the cheap tricks of this bi*ch, so when Caulifla went to throw another punch at him, Peter held her fist and her other fist when she attempted a second punch. Caulifla at him, the lenses of his mask were somewhat expressing anger and seriousness, it caught her off guard when Spidey headbutted her, hard.

Caulifla was nosebleeding which she just noticed when she put her hand on her face, she looked at him with rage. "You bastard!" She threw sloppy punches at Spidey who negated all of them and for the first time in this fight, was counter-hitting her.

"You won't make a fool out of me!" Caulifla shouted.

"Funny, I don't need to, you're doing it to yourself," Spidey said to her, with a capoeira kick to Caulifla, who fell face first on the ground, and her Super Sayian form disappeared.

Spidey sighed as he stood in front of her, he saw her slowly getting up, "Dang, she's durable" he thought inwardly. He cleared his throat and said, "Look, I don't know what kind of beef you have with Goku but he's currently off-world for the time being, please calm down he might come back sooner than we know." Peter hoped that the Sayian girl would consider his words.

Caulifla scoffed and blurted out, "I'll settle my score with Goku later but right now the only one I wanna hurt is you!" Caulifla transformed into a Super Sayian, she kept on increasing her power level as Peter quietly thought, "Well done Parker, you successfully deviated her attention from Goku to yourself because you hurt her pride by beating her, seriously well done.."

"I don't suppose we can calmly talk about it? Maybe I can apologize for the beating I gave you?" Peter unhelpfully was digging his own grave as everything he was saying was making her angrier and she seemed to have an even fiercer transformation, electricity sparking out of her, her hair getting a darker shade of yellow and spikier.

"I must thank you for this, cause now I have the power to crush you like the bug you are! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…." Caulifla finished her transformation, looking slightly taller and her muscles more defined. "So this Super Sayian 2 huh? I feel tingly all over the place, this is amazing." Caulifla was admiring the power going through her body.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man could only feel the nervousness going through him as he heard what she said, "Super Sayian 2? That does not! Sound very good, I was barely able to beat her with skill and experience. Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God… Why did Piccolo send me? He or Vegeta could've gone in my place damnit!"

Caulifla realised that she still hadn't beaten her opponent so she directed her full attention on him and with an evil smirk said, "All right, round 2, bitch!" flying at instant speed to Spidey, who thanks to his Spider-sense got away from her hit and threw a counter punch at her cheek but she only stood there, keeping her smirk and said, "That barely hurt." She punched him through 8 buildings before stopping at a giant palm tree that now has a Spider-Man imprint on impact.

"Dammit, She's stronger than I thought, okay I can still move." Spider-Man got out of the palm tree, while onlookers looked at him a little horrified. Spidey lifted his mask to his mask and spat blood and quickly cleaned out most of the blood that was on his face, as he sensed Caulifla quickly reaching in at his position, Peter put his mask back on.

"So.. where is all that bravado?" Caulifla arrogantly said, floating above him, looking down at him.

"Lady, I have no bravado, I have been trying to stop you from destroying the city since you had to throw a hissy fit cause Daddy wasn't around." Spider-Man coldly said to her, which shocked her for his audacity.

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?"

"What? Does your new form come with being deaf or you're deaf in general? It would explain why you haven't listened to a word I said." Spider-Man continued mocking her.

"I'M GOING TO ENJOY BEATING YOU TO A FUCKING PULP" Caulifla screeched as she flew at him but Spidey disappeared and appeared behind her and.. "KAMEHAMEHAAAAA" sending Caulifla down to the depths of Earth and buying himself some time to warn the citizens of West City. "EVERYONE! PLEASE EVACUATE FROM THIS AREA IT'S NOT SAFE HERE AT THE MOMENT!" The bystanders followed Peter's instructions and Peter was briefly glad that they got to safety until he heard her.

"I hate that fucking technique.." Caulifla slowly emerged from the hole made, looking genuinely pissed by Peter's Kamehameha, her clothes looked damaged, she looked a bit slightly bruised all over her body but could continue fighting eons for all Spidey knew.

The battle kept going, each hit getting deadlier from both parties, as they were holding back less and less, yet Caulifla's powers still exceeded Peter's. Peter was doing his best to make all his shots count but with her durability and her stubbornness to not go down was like he was punching a brick wall.

"You're not that bad" Caulifla acknowledged him during all the fighting.

"Well, I'm doing my best to keep a crazy woman from killing me." Spidey replied.

"Don't worry, you won't be alive for long!" Caulifla yelled as she was about to hit him with a lethal technique.

"Dammit, I fought Broly just yesterday, fucking yesterday! I can't catch a break even in this universe" Peter thought disappointedly while prepared to take the brunt of whatever Caulifla was planning to do.

In Capsule Corp. Gardens

Kale, with a smile gracing her face, was feeding some dinosaurs along with the other animals in Capsule Corp. Piccolo and Bulma were not too far away from her as Piccolo was not only keeping an on her but was also sensing the fight between Peter and Caulifla.

"So how's Pete dealing with her?" Bulma asked Piccolo, concerned.

Piccolo stayed quiet for a long time before answering her question, "He's doing okay, but it does not look like he'll last for long, Caulifla will overwhelm him soon."

"What?" Bulma yelled wide-eyed before saying, "Then what are you waiting for? Go! Help him! He can't do this by himself!"

"No." Piccolo simply said, shocking Bulma once again at his refusal to help her friend.

"What do you mean by No?" Bulma asked angrily.

"He needs this, he needs this push, whatever happened to him, it changed him for the better or worse we don't know. Don't you want your friend to go back home? He needs to get strong and this is the only way!" Piccolo shouted at the end of his speech.

Bulma stayed quiet but hated the fact that deep down inside, Piccolo was right, but it didn't mean she liked it. Kale heard the commotion between Piccolo and Bulma and barged into their conversation.

"I heard what you said if that guy with the bug suit can't deal with Big Sis, I think it's best I go to calm her down," Kale said suggestively.

"No, you're too much of a wild card to let you roam around here, you're staying here!" Piccolo scowled.

"But" Kale mumbled.

"But nothing, we have it handled for the time being" PIccolo ended the discussion and Kale went back to feeding the animals.

"Come on Parker, I have faith in you don't make me regret this" Piccolo thought as he was conflicted on what to do.

Capsule Corp.-Vegeta's training quarters

Vegeta and Cabba were sparring inside the gravity chamber, with the gravity being 100x than the earth's one, which for Vegeta was nothing, Cabba on the other hand, was struggling a little but slowly was getting used to the gravity. Vegeta was in his base form, while Cabba was in his Super Sayian form.

"Vegeta-san! I feel Caulifla's power level spiking and I sense someone fighting her, shouldn't we get involved?" Cabba said before getting unexpectedly punched by Vegeta in the gut then a left hook, throwing him in a corner.

"Idiot! Don't get distracted by useless things!" Vegeta berated the younger Sayian.

"But, don't you think it's concerning? Caulifla can get really crazy, as you might have seen during the Tournament of Power." Cabba said concerned about what his 'friend' is capable of doing as she gets very unreasonable sometimes, in his opinion.

"Enough! The bug and maybe Piccolo can handle that wench now get back to training!" Vegeta said before flying fast at Cabba.

"Yes, Vegeta-san!" Cabba, unconfidently, getting ready to fight once again. Secretly, he hopes that Caulifla could calm down on her own or the others who are outside would calm her down. They continued their spar undisturbed.

During their spar, Vegeta was sensing the fight outside and thought, "Heh…"

Back in West City

A section of the city was destroyed, some parts containing craters and holes. We see Caulifla panting, a little bruised up and floating over the downed state of Spider-Man who had the bottom of his mask ripped, showing his bloodied beard, cracked lenses and ripped and bloodied suit. He was still slowly breathing as he cracked some of his ribs and was very tired from the fight.

"Heh… You're not bad but nothing against my might!" Caulifla said arrogantly, catching her breath, Spidey only stayed quiet, not really listening to her. Caulifla felt like her job was done as she got payback from the annoying prick that humiliated her in their first bout. She said then said something that caught Peter's attention. "Hhmm, maybe I should force Vegeta's bitch to tell me exactly where that damn Son Goku is…" She was about to fly away but she felt someone holding her ankle, she looked down and saw Peter barely standing up not letting her go.

"I can't let you go" He barely managed to mumble in pain. "Can't let you do anything to her".

Caulifla glared at him with fury clearly written on her face, "WHY WON'T YOU STAY DOWN?" she began to repeatedly punch him in the face over and over again.

She then had a devilish idea coming to her, "You know what? That woman Bulma? I'm going to beat her up and make you watch it while I do so." Caulifla evilly suggested with the intention of torturing Peter. This seemed to work as his lenses became wide with shock.

Caulifla grinned wider as she saw how her evil tactic was working, she got up and went on her way to see Bulma. She flew away from the downed and defeated Spider-Man.

" I can't let her do that! But she's so strong, there's nothing I can do. I'm just so damn weak. I'm sure Vegeta or Piccolo or even Goku if he comes back from wherever he is, can deal with her shit." Spider-Man thought defeatedly, while laying on the ground, looking at the sky. He thought of Bulma, how he failed to stop Broly before from attacking her and now this. but for some reason, he also thought back about the people from New York that depend on him, including his loved ones. Depend… that's when he realised something.

"No.. What am I doing? I can't give up. Not when Bulma is depending on me I gotta do this." Spider-Man said with new found motivation burning through him. He slowly got up and painfully stretched to walk off most of the pain coursing through his body, followed by some cracks and a wince from Peter.

He flew after Caulifla as fast as he could, he saw her going towards Capsule Corp. She felt Spider-Man's ki right behind, surprised once again with the arachnid hero's tenacity, she would lie if she said she wasn't impressed with Spider-Man's stubbornness. Unfortunately, all those positive thoughts about Spider-Man were overshadowed by the bigger annoyance she felt about him. She stopped mid-flight and faced him.

"Looks like you don't know the meaning of staying down, I'm gonna do it permanently, by actually killing you." Caulifla finished before going for Spider-Man.

Spider-Man, himself was prepared so he dodged her attack and webbed her eyes. She was going to try to get rid of the webbing but Spidey wrapped her in more webbing and used taser webs on the maximum setting his suit had, making Caulifla cry out of pain. Spider-Man then grabbed Caulifla from behind and performed a high flying suplex, which took some inspiration from wrestling. Caulifla hit the edge of a building very 'hard', making a building drop on both of them. Peter figured that since Caulifla is clearly stronger than him, then he will simply beat her by being smarter and faster than her.

Spider-Man got up from the rubble and stepped away from it to get his bearings, despite his suit taking most of the impact, it still hurt and had a headache, probably from losing so much blood. So he prepared to perform his hopefully final technique to knock out Caulifla, who much like Peter, had a bloodied head looking worse for wear but deranged, as she was walking out of the rubble. Peter was about to do one last Kamehameha but before he could do anything Caulifla disappeared and reappeared in front of him and did something he wasn't ready for.

She punched a hole through him.

On his gut.

Shock going through him, Peter fell on his knees, with a blank look while he had a hole on his stomach, he was also spitting blood. Caulifla only stood there looking at him, but there was a look in her eyes which went unnoticed… sadness? Guilt?

Meanwhile, for Peter it seemed like time was moving very slow, so slow that everything around him seemed stationary and unmoving. A lot of thoughts went through his head but one in particular kept coming to him was, "I failed but even then… I still want to fight, what is wrong with me?"

"I usually prefer to web people without throwing a single punch and yet, I feel like I want to continue this fight, for God's sake! I have a HOLE on my stomach and I still want to continue…"

"I feel like there's something inside of me, I just gotta reach it"

Peter quickly recalled what Piccolo said to him earlier in Capsule Corp. 'Your Ki feels different, it feels denser and you were nowhere close to this level, so what are you?'

"Well, it's worth trying, It's all or nothing!"

Peter closed his eyes and tried to find something deep inside of him, everything was pitch black around his mindscape.

But far away he could spot a 'red' webbing, there was something majestic about it, he could feel the power coming from it, he tried to reach for it, but was still far from it, so he did the only thing he could think of. He spun a web towards it and pulled himself to it, Peter stared at the red webbing in fascination before finally touching it.

Peter came back from his mindscape, still on his knees, a gust of red ki emerged from him, Caulifla stared in shock, trying to make sense of what was happening, since she thought the bug was about to die. She put her arms together to cover herself from the wind and rocks but then all of it died down, making her put her arms, she stared at what was in front of her.

Peter stood there, despite having a hole in his stomach, both of his lenses had red glowing eyes, stingers came out from his wrists, much like Kaine's ones, but he retracted them, his most eye catching feature was his dracula-esque teeth which stuck out because his ripped lower mask and the red aura from him, his whole persona seemed feral, which made Caulifla unconsciously step back in fear.

Caulifla blinked her eyes and suddenly saw Peter in front of her creeping her out even more, she was about to move away but was held by her throat by Peter who hadn't a word but silently looked at her with fury. She struggling to get out of his grip on her, as she tried to kick or to punch but it was ineffective, Peter hit her with a palm strike.

Caulifla was thrown away like a baseball towards another tall building, she felt like she was about to pass out right then and there but tried to stay awake. She finally heard something from him, "Goodnight" punching her to the ground, sending a shockwave around them, finally knocking Caulifla out.

Peter felt like his ki was dissipating from him, he was feeling heavy like some sort of power hangover and screamed in pain before passing out in front of the downed Caulifla. From a distance Piccolo watched in amazement of what had occurred, Vegeta was not so far away either.

In fact, both Piccolo and Vegeta felt a huge spike in Peter's ki which made them wonder what was happening, suffice to say, both Piccolo and the Sayian prince were impressed by the growth of Peter. Vegeta had no expectations from him, other than getting slightly stronger from the training. Still, he had respect for Peter, though he didn't want to admit it, since he heard of Peter defending Bulma during the Broly fight.

Piccolo grabbed both Peter and Caulifla and put each of them on his cape's shoulders and flew towards Capsule Corp. while thinking, "You have grown drastically Peter, looks like you might get to go back home sooner than you know it."

Few hours later in Capsule Corp.

Peter woke up in a bed, it was early night time, as he tried to move he winced in pain, quickly remembered the hole on his stomach and what transpired before he passed out. He still couldn't believe it, he actually beat a Super Sayian, a Super Saiyan 2 no less, granted that Caulifla had no techniques and skills it was still an achievement in Peter's books. He was broken out from his thoughts as he heard Bulma's voice.

"You're going to be fully healed by tomorrow midday or even earlier" Bulma said with a smile on her face.

Peter, with his own smile, replied back to her, "I see, thank you for taking care of me, for the fourth time I think?"

Bulma giggled and said, "Exactly, you must think I run a dispensary than a lab, with all the times I've had to carry your injured and unconscious ass here"

Peter could only let out a small laugh as he didn't want to feel the pain of his stomach, from excessive laughter. Then he wondered, "By the way, where is that Caulifla girl?"

Bulma with a face clearly expressing annoyance over the mention of that snotty little girl, "She recovered just few minutes before you woke up, she's getting berated by her friends and Whis's sister Vados"

"Wait, Whis has a sister?" Peter was shocked at that fact.

"Yes, he does, actually he has a lot of siblings, each one of them attend God of Destructions of other universes."

"Oh wow"

"Yeah"

"Anyway, where's everyone then?"

"Outside, in Capsule Corp. garden"

"Let's go see them"

"Are you sure? You are injured, you should rest a little bit"

"Nahh, I'm good"

Bulma sighed and said, "Your funeral, ass…"

Peter laughed and cheekily added, "Now you know how I feel when you charge into danger."

"I hate you." Bulma showed her tongue and folded her arms and looked away from him with fake anger. Peter only laughed.

Capsule Corp. Garden

Caulifla was not having the best day of her life, as she was getting berated by Cabba, Vados and even by Kale, who's always on her side, it made her realise that she truly screwed up big this time. Piccolo was watching them, meanwhile Vegeta was eating nearby, sitting beside a table full of meat and watching them in boredom.

"Caulifla-chan! I did not expect this kind of behavior from you! Imagine how astonished I was when I heard that you not only endangered people of this city but nearly killed someone who tried to reason with you." Vados said to her, with disappointment evident in her tone, Cabba nodded, as he agreed with what was said and Kale looked at Caulifla with sadness, as she also silently agreed with Vados.

Caulifla looked down sideways in shame and said, "I know, I'm sorry for that."

Vados was not impressed, "That's not enough, you need to apologise to the person you have hurt". As on cue, Peter was slowly coming out of the building and witnessed Caulifla getting sort of disciplined by Vados.

"Dang, she is cute! Sure, MJ and Felicia are bombshells but she's on a completely different level, Peter calm down, you're not a teenager anymore." Peter thought as he looked at Vados.

"Ahh yes, I believe we have never met, I am Vados, Lord Champa's attendant from Universe 6, nice to meet you." Vados said with a foxy smile on her face, holding her hand out.

Peter blushed and shook her hand, "Nicee to meetcha - I mean, meet you! I'm SpiderParker! I mean I'm Peter Parker." Peter could not feel more embarrassed than he felt now, what he didn't know is that Vados unknowingly heard his thoughts about her. Vados smiled and brushed her thumb against the back of his hand, during the handshake. Everyone except Caulifla was amused at the whole interaction, nobody noticed those pairs of jealous eyes from Caulifla.

Peter felt like he was about to burst his head up, but Bulma came to his rescue and asked, "So what's happening?"

Vados let go of Peter and replied, "Oh I was saying how Caulifla was going to apologise to poor Peter, right?" Vados looked at her, as if telling her that defying her wish would bring consequences.

Caulifla sighed and stood up, came in front of Peter and bowed her head in apology, "Look, I may have been a bit irrational but I just wanted to see Goku and get to get stro-"

"Caulifla!"

"Right, I just wanted to say I'm really sorry for what I did to those people and then what I did to you."

Peter shrugged it off and said, "I guess it's alright, as long as nobody got hurt it's fine" afterall he doesn't really hold grudges, unless you have a thing for octopuses and tentacles.

Caulifla looked up from her bow and noticed how handsome the bug was beneath the mask, a small blush came across her face as she looked away in embarrassment. She barely mumbled a 'thank you' which nobody around heard.

Bulma looked at everything and realised, "Uh-huh, so that's what's happening… My, my Pete, I think someone has a crush on you." She smirked as she knew she was going to use this as teasing material in the future on poor Peter. Poor Peter indeed.

Vados brought everyone's attention back by saying, "Because of what happened, since Caulifla-chan belongs to Universe 6, on behalf of her I apologise" She looked at Cabba and Kale and said, "Anyway, we're going, Lord Champa ordered me to fetch you guys for an important matter."

Cabba looked disappointed and said, "But I thought you said, we would stay for 3 days here!"

"I'm sorry Cabba-chan, once we finish this task, I'm sure I can bring you here again." Vados smiled at him.

They all said their goodbyes and left in a flash.

In an unknown part of universe 7

Vados approached a figure that was revealed to be Whis and said, "So are you happy with the results my brother?"

Whis smiled and said, "Oh Parker-san has impressed me beyond my expectations, I did not account for him to have his own transformation, although it felt incomplete, much like Goku's incomplete Ultra Instinct at the start of the tournament."

Vados nodded with a smile and said, "Yes, it was very peculiar, I wonder how strong he could become if he trained it proficiently."

"I wonder something brother."

Whis looked at his sister in confusion, "Hmm? What is it, Vados?"

"Why are you so interested in this mortal?" Vados wondered.

"Well, it's simple it's because he walks a checkered path, I simply intend to lend him a hand and see how this plays out, it has been eons since I have been last entertained by something" Whis admitted.

"I see. Anyway you're welcome" Vados turned to leave.

"Thank you sister and give Lord Champa my greetings." Whis, himself was making his way to Lord Beerus's planet.

"The One Above All should be happy when his champion comes back home, all improved and all"
