It was a cloudy day over the skies of Japan, covering the sun as we see a shop nestled between buildings.

The sun was peaking through the deep grey and white mists above the city, as people walked through, hoping that any rain would not appear. They preferred it right now.

It had been ten long years since a battle of magic and hope had rattled several souls. A battle for the soul of one poor girl...

We see a bike with a gem-like front roaring softly as it road through town. A young man atop it. A similar ruby red ring shimmering from his finger as he curled around the corner. Passing a familiar store.

The Antique Shop Omokagedo had been through a few changes in the past two years. Its old owner having passed away and left the place to Junpei, a rather excitable magic enthusiast.

But he was no magician, no ring slinging mage

No.

That was our hero who came to a stop in front of a small, beautiful, house. Haruto Souma removed his helmet and smiled, the ring wearing wizard of hope taking a step off his bike and revealing himself.

Haruto had dark blonde hair and brown eyes, wearing a black jacket over a light red floral shirt, wearing a black belt with a black hand-shaped buckle with gold edges, red trousers and black boots.

As he walked to the door he spoke up. "I'm home."

Inside the house, he heard a woman's voice coming from the living room. "Welcome back."

Haruto smiled as he heard that, feeling the warmth within the house, taking his shoes off and headed inside.

Haruto smiled as he walked through the house... Only to be tackled by a figure that barley reached his waist.

"DADDY!" the figure cheered happily, nearly knocking the wizard from his feet.

"Omph!" He grunted, stumbling back a bit and looking down with a smile "Hey Koyomi, I've missed you." He smiled, reaching down to brush her hair out of her face.

"We missed you." Koyomi hugged him tightly.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be that long." Haruto apologised.

"Koyomi, daddy wasn't gone that long." A woman responded, as she walked into the corridor.

"She's a daddy's girl, Rinko. Let her have this." Haruto chuckled.

Rinko had shoulder-length brown hair, and brown eyes, wearing a pale blue lounge jumper and beige trousers with a pair of blue slippers.

"That may be. Did you get what we needed? Or did you spend it on powdered doughnuts again?" Rinko teased.z

"Rinko, please. I'm not that petty." Haruto smiled as he got up while Koyomi was still hugging him.

"So... Where is it?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Ah, one sec!" He laughed as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a large silver ring that showed a dragon rising from a circle. Sliding it onto his right hand, he then lowered said hand to his strange belt buckle. A large flash of light filled the air from the ring while the belt flashed.

Connect! PLEASE~!

A large red ring of light appeared next to Haruto, an archaic symbol with a series of old fancy writing along the edges. An ancient language that could not be spoken in today's language, four symbols at the four cardinal directions. A circle, a diamond, a triangle and a square.

Reaching his hand through, Haruto wiggled his hand for a few moments before he pulled it out. Revealing a bag filled with groceries.

"Tada~!" He laughed, while Rinko didn't seem impressed by the display.

"Thank you." She hummed, taking the bag from him and walking back to the kitchen.

"Daddy, when will I be able to use magic?" Koyomi asked, almost having sparkles in her eyes.

"When you're older." He reassured, rubbing her head. "Magic's tricky and your mother doesn't want you summoning something you don't know how to control."

Rinko gave him a bit of a frown before smiling "Koyomi, go wash up!" She called out.

"Kay Mama!" She called, rushing out of the room and up the stairs.

"Why do you get her hopes up like that, Haruto?" Rinko frowned once their daughter was gone "You know she can't do magic unless she overcomes despair. And neither of us will let that happen."

"I know, I know." Haruto answered, holding her hand gently. "I get concerned."

"You're such a worry wart parent." Rinko responded as she squeezed his hand back. "If you can squeeze my hand, you can help put these away."

"You squeezed first." Haruto deadpanned.

The two playfully teased each other as they put the shopping away.

As the two got to work, side by side, Koyomi eventually came running down.

"All done!" She cheered happily.

"Good girl." Rinko called with a soft chuckle.

"Daddy! Daddy! Please, tell me a story!" Koyomi urged "I wanna hear about you kicking butt!"

"Oh? You do?" He laughed "Well... Okay then. Daddy has one for you. From his latest trip and my time at... 'work'." He responded with a laugh.

"Yay!" She cheered, clapping a bit. Rushing over and getting up at the table.

"Well... Daddy was hunting Phantom's just over a week ago..." Haruto mumbled gently

*Flashback*

A woman shrieked as she ran down the streets during sunrise. Tripping and falling, barely able to get over the many boxes and mess around them.

Chasing her were a series of rocky grey beings. Humanoid with rocky skin that almost looked like exoskeletons, no visible eyes but two small horns atop their head. All carrying spears, some having their left arms turned into weird spikes blade-esk guns. With gold running across their bodies almost like veins

The leader of the pack being something a lot more... Monstrous.

It was a dark-suited being, scorched by dark silver flame-like veins going up from his feet to his stomach, in the centre of the stomach was a three-pointed emerald gemstone. On its chest was a wolf-like metal head chest plate, the silver flames shooting out between the crook of his vented metal shoulder guards and twisted silver bracers. Finally, its face, or lack thereof, was engulfed in thorny silver flames tipped with blue spikes and a hollow black face.

And, fighting against this fearsome and ferocious foe was a black bodysuited figure, black boots with red and silver ankle clasps covered by black coattails. A silver belt around his waist with a black hand in the centre with two small sliding buttons on either side and a side belt holding various rings. On his torso was a ruby chest guard with silver edges, that seemed to rest on a black coat. On his shoulders were silver ring-like guards with runes upon them; ruby and silver-edged wristbands with black bracers and gloves with two large rings. One was a silver with a black hand with orange edges and a silver ring with a set ruby and silver markings; and finally, a silver helmet with a ruby face-plate with a silver jaw, silver-edged ruby eyes and silver antennae.

The ruby-clad being fought the hellish creature with flourish and style as he was dodging out of the way of any attack.

Kamen Rider Wizard, Flame Style, leaned back. Letting a strike from the monstrous for fly above his body... While he pulled out a large gun. A large silver gun, with a folded up black and yellow fist at the back. And he opened fire.

Silver bullets rushed through the air and slammed into the backs of the chasing monsters, the gray armoured beasts known as Ghouls letting out roars of pain before exploding into piles of dust and rock.

"You damn... Ringed Mage! Getting in our way!" The Phantom roared as it shifted itself, beginning a downward slash that would bisect the Wizard.

But the red-gemmed warlock smirked, a small flick of his wrist flashing through the air.

The gun had unfolded, the barrel of the gun forming a straight line with the grip of the weapon. And a large blade had unfolded out powerfully. Wizard having raised the sword to block the Phantom's slash, the two's weapons sparking against each other,

"Sorry, Kerberos, it is my job." Wizard smirked as he began to twist himself. Throwing his leg up hard and fast, smashing his foot into the beast's jaw and knocking him back as he spun around. His hand reaching down to flick the belt in a few quick motions.

Gripping the two large switches he shifted them up and down in a quick motion, so the hand on his belt moved so that it was positioned for the right hand of the magician. The middle of the black hand flashing in a small cycle of colours.

And then he brought his hand down, pressing his right hand down onto the belt making a massive flash of light fill the air.

Large chains emerged from a variety of solvent chains rushed out from magical portals, wrapping around the Phantom tightly.

Restraining it with a powerful seal.

Wizard spun around after binding his foe, slashing at the Ghoul's all around him.

The monsters around Wizard were flung back, almost exploding from the attacks as he got back to attacking 'Kerberos' and almost cutting through the magic he put on him.

Ans large glowing seals of red light formed, blocking the attacks with small rushes of fire.

"Now... How about this?" Wizard smirked as he flicked his belt, shifting it to the left-hand side while he swapped his red ring with a blue one.

As he scanned the Ring over his belt, a blue magical circle appeared before him, shifting his appearance.

"And that's how daddy beat up the nasty Phantom." Haruto smiled as he had Koyomi on his knee.

Koyomi was resting happily on her father's knee, almost sleepily. "You're the best, daddy."

"Thanks pumpkin." he chuckled with a soft smile, patting her back.

"Well that's good, because Mama is going back to work tomorrow." Rinko chuckled simply while setting the table.

"So soon?" Haruto joked.

"Who helps put food on the table?" She smirked.

"Touche." He responded as Koyomi got down from his knee and went to her seat.

"Now, I hope everyone's ready for curry." Rinko asked.

Kamen Rider Wizard 10 Years Later

The Last Showtime

It was a week later, Haruto was walking through the city. He had to keep an eye out for any Phantoms that may have been around, couldn't be *too* careful.

"Sheesh, it's quiet today." He muttered to himself. "I wonder if Yu and Ryo have any doughnuts in stock?"

The clouds seemed to part away as the sun shone down, despite the slight chill in the air of Summer turning to Autumn.

"Phew, that sun's a little strong." He covered his eyes briefly as he walked.

Haruto shook his head a little as he continued, passing the stores, he soon saw a pink-decorated van that was busy with customers.

"One bag of Rainbow Doughnuts! We've got a baker's dozen of double chocolate!" A woman called out as she was busy a man was swept up in the rush of delivering them to tables.

"Over here!" Some customers raised their hands.

'Not for long it seems.' Haruto thought with a smile and a joke.

"Ah, Haruto!" Ryo spoke as he saw him. "Yu, Haruto's here."

"Is he?" Yu responded as she saw him. "Hey there!" She waved.

"Yo; how's it going?" He smirked back.

"Everything is fine." The doughnut seller smiled with a gentle smile "Could we interest you in our special anniversary doughnuts?" As she spoke she picked up a tray of a dozen doughnuts with frosting to make them look like a certain spell seal, a large 10 placed atop them almost like candles.

Please~!

...

"No thanks, just plain sugar for me." He nodded with a smile.

"Of course." She sighed, Yu pulling back the special tray "I don't know why we bother with you, mister." She playfully huffed.

"Me too, pretty please pretty lady!" A familiar little voice called out from beside Haruto, a small hand reaching for the counter.

"Oh, yeah, and one for Koyomi as well." Haruto nodded nonchalantly.

...

...

...

"Koyomi?!" He yelled, jumping a bit as he looked down to see his daughter standing besides him "What are you doing here?!"

"I followed you." Koyomi answered with an innocent smile.

...

"Couldn't you just watch cartoons and let daddy work?" He sighed, rubbing his neck. Knowing he couldn't be mad at her.

"But you weren't working, you were wandering." She answered.

"Smart girl." Ryo chuckled.

Haruto took a deep breath and sighed with a nod. "Just like her mother."

"Plain sugar." Yu sighed, passing over the bag of doughnuts to Haruto.

"You're the best, Yu." Haruto smiled.

"Thank you, Ms Yu." Koyomi bowed politely.

"You're welcome, dear." Yu responded, finding Koyomi being polite. "Come back any time my dear."

'You're not that polite with me.' Haruto thought to himself, knowing his daughter's cuteness gave her an advantage, as father and daughter took a seat in a bench. The six-year-old's feet not even reaching the floor as they swung back and forth "Hmm~, good doughnuts."

Koyomi pulled out her doughnut with stars in her eyes, giggling as she took a bit bite. The young girl lets out excited little squeals between each mouthful of sweet treat.

"Just don't tell your mother." He tussled her hair, Haruto smiling happily down at his daughter.

"Okay Daddy." She smiled.

"Hey, what's that?" Ryo asked as he saw the clouds growing darker.

"Probably nothing." Yu hummed as she kept working.

"Come in Koyomi, our next stop is Uncle Shunpei's shop." Haruto urged as he finished his doughnut, the first of three he had.

"Nom! Okay." Koyomi bit into her last doughnut piece and nodded, holding her father's hand with sugar-covered fingers.

"No touching anything when we go in, not until you clean your hands." He laughed with a gentle smile as the two walked away.

*A small but later*

jingle

Inside the shop, Koyomi and Haruto could see a quaint interior, a small kitchen, a lounge and dinner table, a corridor to some stairs and a door that led to a hideaway.

"Welcome!" A voice called out from the hideaway. "How can I-? Haruto, Koyomi!"

"Hey, Shunpei." Haruto nodded.

"Hi, Uncle Shunpei." Koyomi waved.

"I thought you were coming by later." Shunpei commented.

"It is 'later'." Haruto remarked.

"Oh, right." Shunpei answered.

Shunpei was a middle-aged man with black hair, wearing a green shirt under a beige craftsman's apron, black trousers and a pair of slippers.

And he was instantly tackle-hugged by the six-year-old, getting sugar on his clothes as she hugged his waist while giggling in excitement.

"Koyomi! I... ugh." Haruto sighed as his daughter hugged her 'uncle'.

"It's good to see you. How've you been?" Shunpei asked.

"We've been good." Koyomi answered.

"Ah, there you go." He smiled... "You gave her sugar, didn't you?"

"Can you say no to that face? She knows it's a weapon to get what she wants." Haruto frowned.

...

"Rinko is gonna kill you." Shunpei deadpanned.

"I know." Haruto groaned in defeat.

"Tee-hee." Koyomi giggled.

"Well, you're just in time, I've been working on some new rings." Shunpei commented.

"Oh? Magical or business?" Haruto asked.

Shunpei rolled his eyes at that, knowing why Haruto was there. "Both, apparently. What can I do for you?"

Connect! Please

Haruto reached into a red magic circle and pulled out a strange black gemstone. "Here, think you can make a Ring with this?"

Being tossed the black gemstone, Shunpei examined it in awe. "Amazing, is this black onyx or obsidian?"

Haruto shrugged. "You tell me."

"Well, I'm sure I can make something with this." He answered. "Where did you get this?"

"It was in a cave. Gave me... admittedly bad feelings. Very bad but... there's a light in there. Somewhere deep." Haruto explained, "Hope trapped in the darkness."

"Well... it'll be a powerful ring, Haruto. Trust me!" Shunpei smiled "I'll do my best!"

"I'd appreciate it." Haruto answered.

"Koyomi, kid, can you please wash your hands?" Shunpei asked as he saw the girl reaching for one of the rings on display, with her lightly power-sugar covered fingers

"Okay, Uncle Shunpei." She nodded, frowning a little before going to the bathroom.

"She's a sweet girl." Shunpei commented as he looked at the gem.

"She is." Haruto responded. "What do you think?"

"I'm sure I can make something with this. I can almost see the grooves and design coming into form." Shunpei responded.

"Be serious." Haruto answered.

"I am." He pouted. "How's Rinko?"

"She's well, just at work. It's been quiet since the other week." Haruto admitted.

"Don't jinx it." Shunpei answered.

"I'm done." Koyomi walked out, shaking her hands.

"That's my girl." Haruto smiled.

"I'll get to work on this, Haruto." Shunpei responded, putting the gemstone in his apron for safety.

"Thank you, Shunpei." Haruto answered.

"Do we have to go?" Koyomi asked.

"Don't worry, remember that you can visit whenever. And remember the magic phrase." Shunpei knelt at her height and made a fox head with his hand.

"Yeah. Chichin pui pui!" She nodded, making the same hand gesture and tapped his hand with hers.

"Atta girl." Shunpei smiled.

'I still can't believe you taught her that.' Haruto thought fatherly about this. 'Still, it was the first book he bought her.'

Koyomi skipped towards her father and left together.

The pair headed out, walking to the town...where something was coming through the clouds. The darkness came through as a burst of flame shot through and crashed into the pavement and concrete below.

CRASH!

"Koyomi!" Haruto instinctively covered his daughter.

DEFEND! Please!

In a red magic circle, Haruto and Koyomi were alright, the debris bounced off the spell but also the surrounding area. No-one was hurt...but the impact of the thing that came down was harrowing.

"Are you okay?" He asked his daughter.

Koyomi coughed a little and nodded. "I-I'm okay."

"Get to safety, I'll check it out." He ordered her.

Koyomi nodded but was worried, whatever came down must've been a meteor or something.

As he approached... He felt it. An aura of pure malice almost growling from the large ball embedded in the ground, pulsing with heat.

Suddenly a roar echoed out, Ghouls slowly emerging from the ground like growing plants. And trying to stab Haruto in the face.

The Ghouls were stone-grey humanoid golems with veins of an amber-like substance going down their bodies, protruding amber horns on the tops of their heads with sneering or scowling faces, a normal human right hand and a spike-amber left hand that looked like an arm cannon.

"Whoa! Ghouls!" He dodged out of the way and began to fight them, his kicks and open-hand parries protecting him.

"GwUaRgH!" They roared mindlessly, aiming to kill Haruto and even attack anyone nearby.

Haruto had to go on the offensive, he had to protect the people around him and keep Koyomi safe. Everything was going too fast for him right now.

'Ghouls? Of all things? Right now?' Haruto thought to himself, protecting everyone as he fought back. "HA!"

"Incoming!" A voice called out, as a person leapt in to help Haruto.

KICK!

Almost flying in, a wavy brown-haired man wearing a faux-fur-lined grey coat, yellow shirt and blue jeans as he rolled on the ground before getting to his feet.

"Kouske!" Haruto spoke in relief.

"Hey, Haruto. Been busy?" Kosuke asked as he was opposite his ally.

"No more than usual." He answered.

"GwAuRaGh!" The ghouls roared as they gathered.

"Time to suit up." Haruto spoke.

Haruto and Kosuke nodded together as they put a gold and silver ring on their right hands.

DRIVER ON!

Around Haruto's waist was the golden-edged black hand Driver on a silver base.

While on Kousuke had a black belt with a pentagonal shield-like driver around his waist.

On their left hands were their respective Rings to transform. Haruto's was his red and silver ring; while Kosuke's was a black square ring with a golden mask with emerald eyes set into it.

A switch of the Driver, Haruto activated its setting.

Haruto transformed into Kamen Rider Wizard by his burning red magic circle.

SET! OPEN! L-I-O-N! LION!

A golden-yellow magic circle appeared before Kosuke and covered him, turning him into a Kamen Rider.

Kosuke's armour was a black bodysuit with black boots, golden shin guards and kneecap guards, singular golden lines on his boots and going up his legs to his chest. On his waist on the left-hand side were ring holders; his chest was protected by a lion mane-styled chest guard, that was split between black and gold, his left shoulder guard was a golden lion head while his right shoulder guard was black with golden epaulettes. Golden-topped black bracers on his arms, a black helmet with a golden lion-headed mask with large green eyes and a silver mouthguard.

"Now, it's Showtime." Haruto spoke calmly.

"Now, it's lunchtime!" Kosuke clapped his hands as he got ready for the fight.

Over in a nearby alley, Koyomi looked at Kosuke and her father. "So cool~. Dad and Uncle Nitoh."

"HA!" Both Kosuke and Haruto attacked, using their martial arts to deal with the Ghouls, shattering their amber parts to stop them from getting any closer.

Kosuke leapt into the air and dodged the ghouls as he pulled out a weapon and attacked.

In his hand was a large blade, a rapier with a large dice-mechanism in the middle.

"HA!" Kosuke launched forward, feeling the ambient heat of the area of the fallen debris. 'This is strange, why is there so much heat?'

Haruto switched a different silver ring on and scanned it over his belt.

CONNECT! PLEASE~!

Reaching into the hammerspace that was his magic, Haruto pulled out a silver gun-like weapon with a folded black hand on its base.

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

'These Ghouls seem stronger than before. Who summoned them?' Haruto thought to himself as he and Kosuke fought.

Crack!

The ground in the smoking crater crumbled as the fight continued, the Ghouls fighting as much as they could as Kamen Riders Wizard and Beast continued to beat them back.

Haruto reached down and quickly pulled out a new Ring. One that looked like his normal Flame Style ring just... More.

"Ha!" He called, bringing the ring down to his belt once more.

FLAME!-Dragon~!

A large red spell ring appeared in front of Wizard and slowly crossed over his body, his armour rippling and growing more powerful.

BOU-BOU, BOU-BOU-BOU!

Haruto's armour shifted and changed, his boots were black with silver edges, grey shin guards covered by his flowing red coat. A silver outline of a dragon head with yellow eyes and silver edges that went up to his neck and shoulders turning them into large ruby-set silver rings; his helmet was silver with protruding silver antennae and a golden clasp on his forehead with a ruby gem.

"Let's do this." Haruto spoke as he attacked.

He unclasped his gun, turning it into a sword and rushed into the fight with Beast as they struck in a circle, leaving flame slashes around the area.

"Getting serious, Haruto?" Kosuke asked.

"Yep, something seems off about these Ghouls. Do they seem -stronger- to you?" He asked.

"You're not getting rusty, are you?" Kosuke joked.

Haruto double-took at that light jab and smirked under his helmet. "Heh."

Kosuke pulled out a different ring, switching his right-hand ring with a black hexagonal-edged ring with a sparkling ruby gemstone with an animal head engraving, depicting a bull or buffalo.

BUFFA! GO: BU-BU-BU-BUBUBU-BUFFA~!

Beast's black shoulder guard was now clad in a red cloak-mantle with a golden horned red buffalo head.

"I'll take the ones on the left. You take the right." Kosuke answered as he rushed and tackled the Ghouls with his enhanced strength.

'Kick their butts, dad!' Koyomi thought as she hid away, seeing some Ghouls getting close, feeling terror, but knowing her father and uncle would come to protect her.

"GuWaRgH!" The Ghouls growled as they tried to attack people and stomp towards Koyomi.

'Oh no!' She thought as she tried to keep herself safe. 'Daddy!'

"Huh? Koyomi!" Haruto turned around and saw the Ghouls approach the alley. He rushed forwards, almost leaving a trail of fire behind him as he attacked to protect his daughter.

The Ghouls turned and looked in horror as they saw their bodies being carved up by the blade.

SLASH!

SLASH!

"GuWaRgH!" The Ghouls roared as they were shattered into pieces.

"Daddy!" She called out in joy.

"Are you alright?" He asked protectively.

"I-I'm fine." She nodded.

"Good girl. Stay hidden, Daddy's going to kick some butt." Haruto reassured.

"B-But. There's something." She whispered in fear, pointing to the crater.

"Yeah, I felt it too. Go back home; you know the way?" Haruto asked

"Y-Yeah. I do." She nodded.

"Good girl, go." He pushed her forward and away from the battle.

"Haruto! Where'd you go?!" Kosuke called out.

"I'm here!" He answered, leaping back into the fight.

"Do you feel that?" Beast asked as the ambient heat was crawling out of the crater and formed a shadow of a strange humanoid.

"It's like walking into a furnace," Haruto answered, comparing it to a great fire.

"Oh. I'm so much more than that. Wizard!" A voice spoke, a voice that Haruto hadn't heard in a long time.

"No. Way." Beast whispered in fear.

"It can't be." Wizard agreed in shock. The two looked on as the flames crackled and growled, a figure dark behind the flames...
