Two
Brenda called the next morning.
She didn't talk to him, she spoke with his assistant.
She left her contact information and his assistant called her back a few hours later.
They settled on a day, a time, and a place for the meeting, which happened to be the next day.
She was really anxious to meet with him.
She wondered what kind of business opportunity he wanted to present to her, whatever it was she would probably take it.
She needed the money.
Maybe he decided that she was right for the job after all?
She got really excited.
She needed to buy something to wear.
He always dressed impeccably, whether in jeans or a suit.
She knew she needed to look great but understated.
She chose a pair of black slacks and a white blouse.
Her hair was cut in a medium length bob which she chose to pull behind her ears.
Not a lot of makeup, just a strong dark red lip.
The look was finished off with some black pumps.
She looked good.
She needed to if she was going to be seen with him.
He was always well groomed.
She took a couple of deep breaths.
She didn't know why she was so nervous.
She could relax because he was gay.
She didn't have to worry about him hitting on her.
He was gorgeous, but she was not in the mood to date anyone.
That whole situation with Sonny turned her completely off from dating.
She still cried sometimes at night when she was alone.
It felt like, everytime she closed her eyes, she could see him kissing Lily in the front of that church, as they were pronounced husband and wife.
Even after seeing all of that, she still missed him.
He was the first man she really loved….
Brenda was so happy she washed her car earlier in the day.
She would have looked ridiculous pulling up to this super nice restaurant in her dusty Porsche.
People often asked her about that car, but she bought it when she first started booking modeling jobs.
It was her baby.
She parked and went inside.
She gave the host her name and was taken to his table.
He stood up as she approached.
He looked like he stepped off the pages of GQ.
Did he ever look bad?
Even if the job situation didn't work out, maybe he could become her gay best friend.
She noticed that their table was secluded.
In fact, there was no one near them.
"Hello, Mr. Grey."
"Miss Barrett."
They sat down.
He asked her what she wanted to drink.
She asked for a Sprite.
He smiled and ordered her Sprite and a bottle of wine.
"I know you probably don't remember me, but I attended a casting call in your building."
He continued. "I remember."
"Oh, really? I didn't think you did."
"I remember what I want to remember. How long have you been in Seattle?"
"How do you know I'm not from Seattle?"
"Because the tag on your car says otherwise."
She smiled. "Oh, yeah. I haven't been here long. About six months now."
"Oh, so you had only been here for a few months when you came to the casting call."
"Yes."
She decided to test the water. "Was that ever casted?"
He nodded. "We found someone."
Brenda was a little disappointed, but maybe there was another job?.
He continued to ask her questions. "Why are you in Seattle?"
"Long story."
His gray eyes are on her. "I have time."
She was not going to share those reasons. "I don't want to talk about it."
He nodded. "To be honest, it seems like you should be in New York or LA. You could easily land a beauty campaign. You are too short for anything else."
She thought that was rude.
"Well, thank you."
"I'm not trying to discourage you, but you know you are vertically challenged. Your face is better than anything I have ever seen, you should try it."
"Maybe one day. I'm settled here. I don't want to go to LA or New York. I'm surprised you even know what I look like. I can only remember looking into your eyes, once."
"I know what you look like. Tell me, who broke your heart?"
He just would not let it go.
Her eyes widened. "Where did that come from?"
"Just wondering. You just have that look and plus I heard you talking in the restaurant one day."
Brenda knew that was probably true.
He was in there so much, he could have easily overheard her and Kristina talking.
She talked about her past on more than one occasion.
She leaned back. "Just some guy."
"And he married someone else?"
Damn, he heard a lot.
She nodded. "Yes."
"You loved him?"
"Yes."
"You still do?"
"Yes."
He continued. "So you just left."
"Yes."
"Where is your family?"
"I don't have one and enough about me."
He nodded. "Ok."
"Since you are asking me so many questions, how did you come to own a company so young?"
"I worked hard."
"Do you have family here?"
"Yes."
She nodded.
The waitress returned with their drinks.
She opened the wine and filled his glass up.
She opened Brenda's sprite and filled her glass up.
Brenda thanked her.
Christian asked her if she was ready to order.
"You order."
He didn't ask what she liked.
He just ordered.
He had no problem taking control.
She guessed it was the CEO in him.
Brenda looked around. "No one is near us."
"Yeah, I use this table for business."
She nodded. "I am curious about this offer. To be honest, I thought maybe it was about the casting. Obviously, I was wrong."
He nodded. "Very. I have to ask you a question, but first I need to get you to sign something."
"Sign what?"
"A non disclosure agreement. It's just to make sure you don't discuss what we talk about at this table."
She nodded. "Sure."
She knew how those things worked.
Maybe it was some secret project?
She was really excited now.
He pulled out some papers.
She read through it.
It was just what he said it was.
She signed it and handed it back to him.
"So, tell me about this opportunity. I'm really anxious to hear about it."
"After we eat."
She shrugged. "Ok."
She could wait.
He sipped his wine. "You are good at your job. You are good with people too."
"It's not my dream job, but it pays the bills."
"What was your profession at home?"
"I modeled. I had better connections, so I made great money."
Brenda found him easy to talk to, she did not expect that at all…..
It's later and they are eating.
Brenda closed her eyes. "This is so good."
He added. "And healthy."
"I don't care about that. I let the taste lead me."
He grinned.
He picked up the bottle of wine and poured some into an empty glass near her plate.
She picked it up and sipped it. "That's good too. You have excellent taste. They compliment each other."
"Glad you like it."
"I am really anxious to know about this business opportunity."
They were almost done with their entrees, so he thought why not?
"Ok, but before I tell you about it, I want you to hear me out first."
She nodded and continued eating.
"Miss Barrett, what do you know about a submissive and dominant relationship?"
"Um…nothing. What is that?"
"It's a relationship that two people enter into. It's sort of an understanding."
She was confused. "A relationship?"
"A sexual relationship."
Brenda stopped eating and placed her fork down.
"Excuse me?"
He repeated himself. "A sexual relationship."
"Is that the business opportunity?"
He nodded. "It is."
Her mouth fell open and she shook her head. "With...you?"
"With me."
"Hold up." She was so confused. "I thought you were gay."
That caught him off guard.
"You thought I was...gay?"
"Yes, I did."
He chuckled.
He could take her into the bathroom and fuck the shit out of her, that would show her how gay he was.
"I'm not gay. I like women."
Brenda was in total shock. "This is not about a real job?"
"Oh, it is a real job."
She started to feel really uncomfortable. "Look, I don't even know why you would even ask me this? I don't even know what you are really even asking me-"
"I'm asking you to be my submissive and I'll pay you."
"Whoa, look, I am not a prostitute."
"I know and I would never treat you like one. This is an understanding between two consenting adults. You would be free to walk away anytime."
Her eyes were as big as saucers. "I thought you wanted me to model or something."
"No, nothing to do with pictures, and I don't film anything."
God, she was so stupid.
She thought this was going to be a huge break for her.
He continued. "If you need time to think about it-"
"I don't need any time. I'm not having sex with you for money." She frowned. "I don't understand. You are extremely good looking, you can get almost anyone you want and for free."
"I want you."
She shook her head in disbelief. "I'm not interested in dating."
"I don't want to date you."
"Oh right, you just want to have sex with me?"
"And you'd like it, Miss Barrett."
Brenda dropped her head. "Oh my God." She looked up. "Listen to me, I'm not a prostitute. I need money, but not that bad."
"I told you I would never treat you like one. I think our chemistry is amazing. You aren't sexually attracted to me?"
"That's not the point. I am not a prostitute."
"If you were, I would never ask you. I don't want a prostitute. I want someone who isn't interested in dating and all that love shit. I don't think you are. You seem to be emotionally unavailable. That's perfect for me. I need someone who won't get attached. You need money and I have plenty of it. I'm sure you need other things too, it doesn't make you less to admit it. Are you seeing anyone?"
She looked at him coldly. "That isn't any of your business."
He already knew she wasn't.
She only worked and hung out with the girl she worked with.
Taylor, his driver and right hand already looked into it.
He agreed. "You're right, it isn't."
Brenda grabbed her clutch. "I'm leaving."
He nodded.
He wasn't going to stop her, she needed time to think about it.
She probably never heard of anything like that.
He didn't think she was a virgin, but she was still somewhat innocent.
He would just give her time.
If he was correct she'd contact him.
He watched her walk out of the restaurant.
He didn't leave until he finished his meal…
Brenda threw her purse against the wall when she got back to the hotel.
She thought her luck was about to get better.
She sat down on the bed.
For some reason she started crying.
Her life was a mess.
She was staying in this cheap hotel and now she was disrespected in the worst way.
She was asked to sell her body.
She fell back onto the bed and looked up at the ceiling.
All of sudden she started laughing through her tears.
"And we thought he was gay."
She moved to her side.
She missed Port Charles so much.
She missed Sonny even more.
Why did he marry her….
Sonny stood in front of the window just staring out.
He wasn't looking at anything in particular.
He was aching.
He ached all of the time.
He just couldn't get rid of it.
"Sonny, are you ok?"
He turned and saw Lily standing there.
"Yeah….I'm fine. Just thinking about work. So much…to do."
She nodded and walked off.
He walked over and sat down on the sofa.
How in the world was he going to do this?
He missed her like crazy…..
