"Beware of the shadow king…" "He will destroy all that exists…" "YOU FIGHT FOR NOTHING! EVERYTHING YOU SEE IS NOTHING!" "Death is inevitable to those who tempt fate…"
Trevor snapped out of it as the sounds of clanging tableware and pans were shifting around the kitchen. It was a busy day at the Yachtsman Steakhouse, and it seemed like all hands on deck for the young chef de partie. He was after all the saucier leader of the group. After preparing a sauce and plating it with one of the steak dishes, He was about to start another dish when all of a sudden a familiar face appeared in front of him.
"Cooking for the guests I see?" Iger asked as Trevor jumped back, shocked that he was in the kitchen, much to the audible shock of every other chef present.
"Sir?! This was unexpected. How did you get back here?" Trevor asked, confused as to how the chefs didn't stop him.
"Well I am head of the company, so I'm sure people will understand." He was amused by his words. "I'm not gonna whip out my name tag! Besides, we have a team to meet!"
"Team?! Right now?!" He asked, shocked and confused as to how fast he had gotten new crew mates. "You found more already? It's only been a few weeks."
"You're a guardian now, this is your life." Iger explained. "If we can get more people to help us defeat that shadow man, then we can successfully save more characters to distribute throughout the parks." He then opened the door for him, "Alright enough chatter, there's some people I want you to meet."
Currently, at the Guardian HQ…
"This will be your living quarters." An employee said as they showed the boy and 2 girls their room. The living quarters was almost like a giant room full of different beds, closets, and bathrooms (can't share that'd be wack for hygiene), with Naku and Trevor's beds already there and made.
"Well shucks, this room's bigger than my own living room." The boy with the ranch attire said as he checked out the bed he would sleep in, "All this needs here is a good ol' fashion woody's roundup bedsheets. Y'all do make those right?"
The employee sighed as she pinched her nose. "I'm sure we can get the retail department to get you some sir."
"Yeah, I'm definitely getting better bed sheets than this. My mother can probably ship out my gorgeous sheets from our house in Miami." The younger girl said as her heels were heard when she walked towards her bed. "What about you?" She turned to the taller and older girl, who was busy inspecting Trevor's bed (which was themed with Lion King sheets)
"I think I'll do the exact same my boyfriend did with his bed." The older girl replied as she laid down on his bed.
The employee sighed as she pinched her nose once again. "Why did I have to be assigned to this division today? I should be in the tech room helping with the next mission."
"Didn't I tell you, Samantha, that you were assigned here due to your last incident in the tech room?" Reggie asked as he came from behind to check on the new recruits.
"The coffee spill was accidental, sir." She replied, clearly frustrated with the babysitting job.
"There, there." Reggie said, patting her on the back, "You can go back to the tech room. But no drinks!"
As the employee left to go to the tech room, Iger arrived with Trevor to introduce him to the new members. "We even fixed your living arrangements to fit all of your needs. Oh! Looks like the new recruits have arrived already!" There were about 3 new members so far, but one stuck out to Trevor the most.
"NAOMI?!" He exclaimed as he saw her laying on his bed, to which she jumped off with such speed and quickly tackled him into a bear hug.
"Trevor, I've missed you! You never told me you got to visit Arendelle! Your boss said I could join after he found out we were dating!" She exclaimed as Trevor gave him a stern look, to which Iger looked like he had no idea. "How was it?!" She asked as she got him back up. "Did you save the queen? Did you defeat hans? Who's this shadow king?"
"You told her about the shadow king?!" He exclaimed as Iger chuckled to himself. "That wasn't official yet!"
"Well, after what happened in Arendelle we can safely assume that the shadow clones will be active in every other world we visit. It's imperative they know of the enemy." Reggie chimed in as he came in with the new magic bands for the recruits. "Why don't you go ahead and introduce yourselves to each other? A team needs to know who they're working with!"
The cowboy went first. "My name is Doh Wellington. I'm from Arizona. Nice to meet ya!" He held his hand out for a shake, to which Trevor took as a sign of respect.
"My name is Rowena Malum Mills, but you can call me Rowena. I'm from Michigan, specifically Storybook, where Once Upon A Time was based. That show is better than all of those other lame disney shows." Trevor gave her a concerned look, since his girlfriend was very vocal about her favorite franchise, the Lion King.
"Well, I'm Naomi Lefay! I'm a descendant of Morgan Lefay, and my favorite show is the Lion Guard! I'm from San Diego, where I met my boyfriend, Trevor!" Naomi smiled as she held his arm tight, glad to be reunited with her love.
"So, you're our leader? What makes you so special?" Rowena asked, causing Iger and Reggie to chuckle.
"He was the first, and he showed great potential during his mission in Arendelle. He gets to be the leader for those reasons." Iger explained as everyone looked at him in shock.
"Well I'll be! You're a mighty fine warrior then huh?" Doh asked, admiring him, to which Trevor sighed.
"Please don't try to put me at a higher standard. I'm not that great. I count on everyone to do their part." Trevor said as they all nodded their heads in agreement.
"Great! Now that introductions are out of the way, let's give you your bands!" Reggie said as he gave each new member their magic band. Rowena got a pink one, Doh got a blue one, and Naomi got a purple one.
"Wow! Just like Morgana said! This is amazing!" Naomi said in glee as Trevor smiled at her happiness.
"So, lemme get this straight? Is this Morgana like your great great grandma or something?" Doh asked, confused by the whole thing, to which Rowena smacked his head with a poster she was holding.
"Yeah it means her previous relative from like a long long time ago was her family! Idiot!" Rowena said, baffled by Doh's confusion. "It's easy to understand!"
"Whatever you say, shortstack." Doh said as he looked her straight in the eye with a vengeful look.
"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!" She said as she was about to punch him in the face.
"Hey! Settle down. We don't need this on the first day." Trevor said firmly as the two guardians stopped their bickering.
"Oh! Well done darling!" Naomi said as she gave him a pat on the head.
"Okay, let's lead them to the portal room. You're gonna give them the orientation and debrief on the next mission okay?" Iger explained as he gave him the dossier for the world they would visit.
"Got it. Come on guys, let's go show you the real treat of the job." He said as they all began to make their way towards the portal room, with Rowena and Doh eyeing each other like they wanted to battle.
Now, in the Portal Room…
"We managed to secure You and Trevor keyblade chains from Squares facilities." Reggie said as Naku was given a Oblivion Keychain, and a No Name Keychain for Trevor. Just then, Trevor made his way into the room with the other team members, and noticed Naku was there.
"Oh hey Naku! Thought you were in Japan for the week?" Trevor asked as he high fived his friend.
"Evidently, the vacation was short lived as my parents wanted to come here for the week instead, so here I am, working!" He said jokingly while pointing to the new recruits. "Who's the bunch? And why is she holding your hand?"
Trevor looked at Naku with a baffled look, completely amazed by his lack of perception. "These two are Doh and Rowena, our teammates. This is Naomi, my girlfriend and also our teammate."
"Lucky…." Naku said as he frowned and sulked, since he didn't get to have a girlfriend since he was always seen as too immature for most girls.
"Anyway…" Trevor said as he let go of Naomi's hand and coughed, grabbing the dossier and opening it, "Welcome to the team. Each one of you were selected for one specific thing. Your love for Disney and its shows and movies. Your mission as a whole is to rescue the princesses and their allies and bring them into the human world. We are also told to capture the villains to be held in a high security facility."
"Cool! Like we're some bonafide deputies!" Doh exclaimed while Rowena scoffed and Naomi laughed.
"Listen…" Trevor reminded sternly, "These are our magic bands, which give us powers to use in the Disney realms. Each of our powers accumulate for what we enjoy the most."
"So like, my love for OUAT would give me the magic powers from that show?! Awesome!" Rowena exclaimed gleefully, while Naomi looked even more amazed.
"That must mean I can use my ancestors powers as well! Maybe I can use animagus magic for lion form!" She said curiously as Trevor continued on with his debriefing.
"Now for the risks. We can get hurt in these realms just as we can here. However it seems they disappear once we leave. That's another thing. We can't leave until the mission is complete, so be prepared to survive in the world for the duration of the movie." He then finally grabbed the keychain Naku was trying to give him, then turned back to the group. "Our mission is simple. We're traveling to Corona to rescue Rapunzel and Flynn, and to arrest Mother Gothel for the crime of kidnapping. Any questions?"
"Yeah I got one. What if I'm a cowboy? Do I get guns?" Doh asked since he is really into the wild west.
Trevor and Naku looked at each other hesitantly as their last use of guns caused a lot of trouble for them. "Probably. But it'd be best if we didn't use real bullets. Bad things could happen if we kill anyone we aren't supposed to in the realms. We can change things for the story, but sometimes it leads to disastrous consequences."
"Understood. Maybe rubber bullets oughta do the right trick!" Doh suggested as the other technicians approve.
As they began to try and create small talk with each other, the room began to shake as the portal began to open. "All technicians clear the room! Portal is opening!"
"Your mission is to recover Rapunzel without her hair being lost. Mother Gothel is not a primary threat." Reggie told the group as he handed Trevor a bag of snacks. "You and Naku both asked, so we got theme park snacks and candy to accommodate the team. But be warned for the twins, those two are dangerous and should be avoided unless the situation doesn't allow it."
"Understood." They both acknowledged as the portal materialized, causing the new members to be shocked by the marvel of the technology.
"Is that a wormhole?!" Rowena asked as she tried to put her finger in it, only to be stopped by Doh, who gave her a disapproving look.
"Alright team, we know our mission. Let's go do this thing!" Trevor exclaimed as he and naku jumped through the portal, causing the others to go and follow them through.
"Do you think this one will be a breeze sir?" Reggie asked as Iger adjusted his glasses.
"Let us pray it doesn't involve those shadows.." Iger said as they moved themselves to the monitor room..
Looks like mission two has begun, but what awaits our heros? A more calm adventure? Or even worse consequences than before?
