"So, where should we start?" asked Neptune as the four exited a private elevator. IF looked at Netherrealm, "Well first, you should get some replacements for your ruined gear. What did you lose again?" "Fucking everything," Netherrealm replied. Neptune shrugged, "Well. Anywhere you wanna start?" Netherrealm took a moment to think. "...Yeah, I need a new sword first and foremost." He said. IF pointed them in the right direction, quickly determining the best smith in the area. Neptune looked at all the weapons on display, amazed at the craftsmanship. Netherrealm picked out a simple wakizashi and he began to look around for some armor.
Netherrealm was getting kitted out. He began asking for specifications he initially could never do with his initially thrown together and self made equipment. He then saw two bracers that caught his eye. He gathered the equipment and used Neptune's money to buy it all, along with having it modified to his specifications.
He walked out of the changing room. Wearing a more clean, high quality, black sleeveless shirt that has a hood along with black pants. A yellow facemask that can attach to his belt, a yellow battle dress, forearm bracers, greaves, and black tabi boots with straps on them. On his back was a wakizashi, much more high quality than his original one despite the simplicity. His violet eyes contrasted with the yellow of his outfit. He clenched his fists, as the bracers morphed slightly with a hiss. As a kunai shaped head poked out. He flicked his arms forward as the point lashed out with a crack of the air and zipping of a wire like a fishing rod. Then the wire pulled back and the bracers morphed back to normal.
Neptune whistled, Compa clapped for Netherrealm and IF nodded. "Anyway, I'll probably just have my stuff repaired and ammo restocked," IF said. Then she thought of the disastrous encounter with Arfoire. "Actually, Netty has a good idea. We're probably gonna need armor of some kind," IF brought up. Neptune raised an eyebrow and Compa nodded in agreement. Netherrealm was surprised at IF complimenting his idea to have armor.
Neptune and IF began looking for some light, easy to conceal armor. "Why aren't you getting armor?" Netherrealm asked Compa. Who looked down and frowned for a second. "I don't need it, but… I will need a better bag," Compa said as she began searching for a more adventure suited bag. She found one rather quickly, a large black, external frame hiking backpack. That can carry a bunch of supplies and even stick stuff to the sides using magnet grips. The frame extends and compresses based on what is inside. It can theoretically carry an infinite amount of stuff but all of that weight would be put on one person. So the carrying capacity is a case by case basis.
Compa adjusted the straps and the held onto the two shoulder straps. Giving it a slight shake and she smiled in satisfaction. Soon, IF and Neptune came back after armor searching. Netherrealm could hardly tell they were wearing armor. IF was wearing a white chestplate with purple lining over her black tube top. With small shoulder pads under her coat. He could also see white and purple knee armor and with the small outline on her elbows, she was wearing elbow armor. The armor was made out of a malleable alloy that allowed someone to bend, stretch, and move easy in the armor. The softness allowed for better catching of blunt force blows and piercing attacks. Slashing attacks would be essentially useless.
They began loading their bags. Netherrealm had a yellow duffel bag, IF had a dark green duffel bag, and Neptune had a purple duffle bag. They had basic essentials like survival kits, medkits, sleeping rolls, and non perishable foods. Loading the rest of the stuff onto Compa's back. It was shocking how much she was carrying without breaking a sweat. Soon they left the Basilicom and onto the private air docks. Where there was a regular civilian ship waiting for them.
Parked at the air docks as well were two particular ships. One was a massive, sleek, black and purple ship. It was 270 meters long, a height of 66 meters, 33 meter beam, 12 meter draft. Two gun batteries, the main one having nine 5 meter .50 caliber turrets in three, three gun turrets. The second battery having twelve 2 meter .38 caliber guns in six dual mounts. "Lady Purple Heart's flagship, the PAS(Planeptune Air Ship) Amphitrite," N-Sha said as she walked out of the Basilicom. The second one was a much smaller ship. "And that is Lady Neptune's personal luxury ship," she finished.
"So which one are we taking?" Netherrealm asked. Only for N-Sha to point to the civilian ship. "Iffy and I requested it," Neptune said as she explained how they wanted to be on the downlow. That it's suspicious how Netherrealm suddenly got a meeting with Black Heart despite how reclusive she's been. So in case they're being lured in, it's best to infiltrate the nation of Lastation instead. Netherrealm nodded in agreement reluctantly. Before N-Sha began to say goodbye. "Mommy!" A small voice exclaimed as a little girl, with a red and orange dress ran out. Two yellow pigtails and bright blue eyes hugged N-Sha.
"B-Sha! I told you to stay with the Caretakers in the play area!" N-Sha sharply scolded. B-Sha pouted and nuzzled against N-Sha's leg. Neptune snickered as Compa said "awww" while IF smiled softly. Netherrealm just had a look in his eyes. "B-Sha…." N-Sha began as B-Sha let go and ran forward. She bumped into Netherrealm's leg. He looked down at her, while B-Sha looked up at him.
"Wow! You're so cool! You're yellow like my hair!" B-Sha exclaimed. Underneath the mask, Netherrealm smiled under his face mask as he got down on one knee. "Play area huh? Let me guess, Mom was too busy so she put you with other people?" Netherrealm guessed. B-Sha nodded and Netherrealm chuckled, "my Dads would put me and my brother in a Daycare because they were also super busy." B-Sha blinked in surprise, "you have two Dads?! Then who was the Mom?!" B-Sha asked in shock.
"Well… neither were the Mom, my Mom well… She, was a great woman… Your Mom isn't mad at you, and she doesn't stick you in a play area because she hates you. She has adult stuff to do, and she doesn't want you to be bored, okay?" Netherrealm explained to B-Sha. Who smiled at him as she began walking around him. Taking in how he looks. "What's your name Mister? Mine is B-Sha!" She introduced herself, pointing her thumb at herself and striking a pose. "... Netherrealm, I am working with your Mom and her friends," he introduced himself back.
"Hehehehe… Are you a ninja? Ninjas are super cool," B-Sha asked and Netherrealm blushed under his mask. "Yeah, I am a ninja, I strike from the shadows, spying on bad guys, and helping the good guys," Netherrealm answered while B-Sha had stars in her eyes. "A ninja?! A real ninja?! This is so awesome!" She squealed. "Can you teach me how to be a ninja?!" She asked with her wide eyes. Netherrealm held up his finger and shushed her gently. "I'll consider it, if you get strong, stay healthy, and not worry your Mom, deal?" Netherrealm offered and B-Sha held out her pinky. The two pinky promised as B-Sha ran back to N-Sha. "Mom! Mr. Netherrealm is gonna teach me how to be a ninja!" She bragged and N-Sha smiled softly as she picked up B-Sha.
"Say bye to everyone, they got important things to do," N-Sha said as B-Sha waved to the four as they headed to the airship. "Bye bye!" She exclaimed. Netherrealm looked back at her before entering last. Sitting down next to Compa. While in front of him, Neptune sat down next to IF. The civilian ship beginning take off. "We will arrive in Lastation in two hours," the pilot announced. Netherrealm closed his eyes as he thought of his brother. Thinking back on B-Sha as well. "Kids," he muttered as he looked down at the floor.
