Council Room
Kakashi sat there scanning the letter that went out this morning 'This is much worse than I thought' Kakashi thought 'I don't know if Naruto left out the part that explains Itachi was providing Jiraiya with information from the Massacre to his death which explains how Jiraiya knew in advance what Akatsuki's goals were or the fact that it reveals that the Uchiha were planning a coup against the third due to their treatment or Shisui had a peaceful way to stop it if Danzo and secret Anbu unite Root hadn't stolen his eye and caused his death' Kakashi sighed how do you explain to clan heads and shinobi in here that everything they heard is true that the Hokage and his former teammate/Advisor plotted the demise of a founding clan baiting them for a reaction to end them and used its clan heir to do it while simultaneously having him serve as a spy in the group that almost destroyed the world.
"You can't just ignore us and hope we'll go away Hatake especially considering you called us here" Utatane Koharu spat out not bothering to hide her annoyance or anger at the situation
Letting his eyes sweep over the gathered assembly consisting of Tsunade starting with Senju Tsunade, Kato Shizune, Haruno Sakura then Hyuuga Hiashi & Hinata, Aburame Shibi and Shino, Inuzuka Tsume, Hana and Kiba, despite not being the heir was allowed in due to the situation followed by Nara Shikamaru and Yoshino, Yamanaka Ino and her mother Orihime, Sai here due to his connection with Danzo, Akimichi Choji Choza and his wife Chichi with Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura finally Uzumaki Naruto beside him serving as Hokage in training.
Kakashi turned to address Koharu " That's Hokage-Sama to you but since you feel like we should get things underway you served as the Third's advisor and were close with Danzo just of much do you know about this?" Glancing at Homura also lets him know the question extends to him as well
"We know as much about this as you Hokage-Sama or was Uchiha Sasuke probing us before his Journey not enough proof?" said Homura coming to Koharu's defence
"Does this mean the stuff involving the Uchiha is true? I assume most of us are aware of the Root program what we weren't aware of was that it was still operational up until Danzo's death" interrupted Hiashi glancing at Sai and then Tsunade who was Hokage at the time not counting Danzo's brief stint at The position. Hinata seated beside her father glanced around the room to see the reactions to what her father said feeling a pair of eyes on her directly she looked to see Naruto looking at her with a thoughtful look in his eyes before offering her a smile which she managed to return before he looked away lost in thought
Hearing Hiashi insinuate she had a part in this Tsunade spoke up "I learned that the root program was active a year into my term as Hokage where I spoke with Kakashi and Shikaku about how we should go about it where it was decided that we let Danzo know we are aware of his operations continues existence despite it being on the books as defunct to control his movements and not cause him to panic and start a civil war by trying to get his desires position of Hokage by force"
"I too was aware of Root's continued existence" Shibi spoke up gaining everyone's attention "Danzo approached me saying he would like a talented young member of my clan to join his foundation he requested my son Shino but my adopted son Torune revealed his father's identity Aburame Shiroko who he inherited his unique technique from to Danzo offering himself to the foundation instead when I went to ask the third about it he confirmed he gave Danzo permission to do so and to keep it a secret" causing murmurs to start in the meeting room
"Okay, so we know that the third lied to us about Root being disbanded and that Danzo was allowed more power than we thought during the third's terms as Hokage but is the stuff concerning the Uchiha true or not?" asked Choza looking like he hoped it was fake
"It's true Obito posing as Madara approached me, Kakashi and Yamato-Sensei telling us why Itachi committed the Massacre and that his request for doing the mission was to keep Sasuke safe and by being the focal point of Sasuke's hate while ensuring he was loyal to Konoha and that he had already informed Sasuke of this in return for Sasuke joining the Akatsuki he allowed Sasuke the chance for revenge on Danzo" Naruto finished he said solemnly
"Troublesome no wonder Sasuke was willing to take on the Kage and their aids to get Danzo," Shikamaru said rubbing his forehead causing more murmurs to break out discussing the new information
knock* *knock*
"Enter" Kakashi yelled over the talks that continued
A chunnin peaked his head inside looking nervous "Uhh Hokage-Sama Uchiha Sasuke is here to see you" causing the room to go silent
"Send him in," Kakashi said hoping Sasuke was angry that everyone knew what he wanted to keep hidden to honour Itachi's wishes and not cause conflict. Sasuke entered the room, seeing him for the first time in a year Kakashi took a minute to Study him, his face blank revealing nothing and he started to grow out his hair which covered the Rinnegan black pants together with a black long-sleeve and black cloak glancing around the room he noticed he wasn't the only one observing him all eyes are on him if Sasuke noticed he's not showing it
"I came as soon as I got your message just how much was revealed?" Sasuke asked making his way to stand behind Kakashi
Kakashi handed the paper over his shoulder to Sasuke "We were just discussing how Naruto, Yamato and I learned of the truth and your reason for joining Akatsuki and your storming of the 5 Kage summit" glancing over his shoulder at Sasuke to judge his reaction
Sasuke quickly read through all the details revealed before cursing under his breath and then glancing at Kakashi" You might want to get a speech ready the Hokage tower is surrounded and the Ninja force is keeping everyone at bay but I don't think they'll be going home without answers" causing Kakashi to groan and the eyes of the others to widen knowing that the things outside could escalate
"We still don't have all the details Sasuke we don't exactly know what we should tell them at this point" Shikamaru sighed trying to think of the best way for Kakashi to approach what was going on outside
Sasuke nodded in understanding "I guess I should start with my final fight with Itachi"
Naruto jumped out of his chair "Are you sure? You don't have to start there you could start at the Kage Summit we were just talking about Danzo" he knew what Itachi meant to Sasuke and how reliving that could make him feel
Sakura nodded "Yeah you don't have to talk about it Sasuke-kun the stuff involving Danzo is enough"
Sasuke shook his head "It's time the Truth of Itachi is told my final fight happened at an old Uchiha hideout in the Fire Nation I encountered an Itachi clown who told me the original was there waiting for me, once I arrived we had a Genjutsu battle before moving into shurikenjutsu followed by Taijutsu to Ninjutsu to match Itachi I relied on the power Orochimaru's curse mark granted me after using the technique I prepared to kill Itachi and he survived thanks to the use of Susanoo I was out of chakra and felt hopeless I threw a chain of explosive tags which did nothing that's gone I felt it"
"Felt what," Asked Kiba impatiently before sinking in his seat seeing the glare his mom was sending him
"The presence of a man I thought I killed turns out Orochimaru is immortal as long as someone possesses one of his Curse Marks came in handy when I needed him to revive the past Hokage but at the moment feeling his Chakra flood my system just filled me with dread" Pausing remembering how he felt in the moment "Itachi saved me from being possessed by Orochimaru who manifested himself as a giant 8 headed serpent after defeated Orochimaru he served the last of his strength to tap me the forehead like he did when I was a kid and Apologize saying there would be no next time before passing away exhausted from the events I passed out on the spot where I later woke up before Obito posing as Madara in his hideout"
Tsunade nodded "I remember sending out a squad of your peers and the Sensei who were delayed from reaching you before you vanished from the scene with no trace which makes sense with what we know" Those who were a part of the squad nodded in agreement
"Obito revealed the truth of the Massacre leaving out his part in killing all the non-combative Uchiha while Itachi dealt with the clan's shinobi forces he promised if I brought him, Killer Bee, he'd help me get my revenge on Danzo so I joined his Akatsuki temporarily to fight Killer Bee with my squad where he replaced himself with one of the 8 tails tentacles taking the opportunity to roam the nations after I failed to bring him the 8 tails he let it go informing me of Danzo being at the 5 Kage summit and it is the perfect opportunity to face him without his Foundation to back him up" Sasuke said glancing around to see the reaction of those present
"The 5 Kage summit is the perfect opportunity if you ignore the fact that 4 other Kage level shinobi and their guards were present discussing what to do about the Organization you joined your generation sure is lively," Choza said finishing with a chuckle getting agreement from the older generation
"After having a brief fight with Raikage and his guards and Gaara and his siblings, I proceeded to the room where they were meeting where Mifune attacked me while our swords clashed Danzo took the chance to flee where I had a brief skirmish with the Mizukage before being saved by Obito from the Tsuchikage's Dust Release warping me away before declaring his war and dropping me off to face Danzo on the Samurai Bridge in the Land of Iron, where Danzo revealed the arm underneath his robes that bore the face of Hashirama on his shoulder along with 10 Sharingan implanted in the arm" Said Sasuke
Koharu spoke up "But that's impossible the cells should have been too much for Danzo and completely overwhelmed him isn't that why Might Guy didn't receive a leg replacement like Naruto's arm" not wanting to believe that her former teammate had been hiding such a thing under his robes all these years
"Right Naruto, Obito and Madara were fine due to their connections to the Senju clan with all being descendants of the Sage of 6 paths with Yamato I have my theories but I can't confirm if he had Senju blood before Orochimaru experiments since I don't have his medical records pre experiments" Tsunade explained
"Danzo wasn't being overwhelmed due to the Uchiha DNA and chakra being present in the arm, during the fight Danzo used the forbidden Izanagi that allows you to turn your body into a physical illusion, nullifying any injury he received from an opponent. This allowed him to survive otherwise fatal by Sacrificing a Sharingan to never open again. which led to me killing him 10 times before his arm overwhelmed him and turned into a tree where he revealed Shisui's Sharingan in his right socket that was covered by bandages realizing he could not escape with his life he tried to take me and Obito with him by activating the Reverse four symbols sealing he planted on himself to try to take out Obito and I" Sasuke finished his story
Kakashi looked around the room before asking "Does anyone have anything to ask or add" but it seemed like everyone was stunned to know all of this was going on without their knowledge "Okay Good because it's been a long day and I think I know what to say to the villagers outside" seeing no one's objections he dismissed the meeting before heading to the roof to give his speech.

I'll be skipping a bit forward in chapter 3 not too much of a time skip just past Kakashi's speech maybe even the next day after the villagers had a chance to let the news sink in and attempt to go about their daily life with the new knowledge
