Chapter 43

Logan had to move the phone away from his ear, she was screaming so. "Honor, Honor, calm down. I am in the office in the pool house. Your screaming is going to bring her in here to see what is wrong." About that time he heard a splash. Tori was in the pool and Rory was working on something at one of the tables on the patio.

"I want to get married on Martha's Vineyard. Possible at the house. I'll have to check on it. I want to surprise her with a wedding. When I propose, I will let her know I want a short engagement. I thought maybe you and Steph could get together and give us an engagement party at the house that turns into our wedding."

"My brother is romantic." Honor said. "But how are you going to do this without Lorelai's help? You know she will tell Rory just to spoil it for you." Honor said.

"I know, I still have some things to work out." He said.

"When are you proposing?' Honor asked.

"Well, I think I will propose at supper one night. I will talk toTori, get her on board." Logan said.

"Good luck. Maybe She can come stay with us." Honor said.

"I'll work on it." Logan said.

He hung up the phone. He sat in his office thinking. He pulled the ring out of the drawer and looked at it. He needed to put it in the safe in the house.

Monday morning the house was quiet. Logan was the only one up. Tori didn't have school, so she and Rory were sleeping late. He grabbed a coffee togo and headed to the office.

Honor showed up about 9:00. They discussed his plan for the proposal. Logan wants to propose before Tori's birthday. Even though Honor volunteered to keep Tori, Logan wanted her there. Honor agreed if he would call her to come get Tori to spend the night afterwards. He agreed to that.

"Now that we have all the fun stuff out of the way, let's talk about Shira." Honor said. Logan groaned. "Do you think pushing her out the door was the best way to handle her slapping you?"

"I don't know, Honor. This is my first encounter with my drunk mother slapping. At least I called her a car." He said.

"What about Aunt Ginny?" Honor said and they both laughed. They were both remembering what happened.

Rory was in shock, she couldn't believe she slapped her son. She was brought out when she saw Ginny lung for Shira.

"Shira," Ginny said. She lunged toward her. "You bitch, first you kill my brother, now you are slapping your son." Ginny grabbed at Shira's arm but Rory stepped between them.

"Ginny," Rory said. "Don't stoop to her level." She then turned to her future mother in law. "I think it is best if you leave." She touched her elbow to encourage her to leave peacefully, but when she jerked away from Rory, Logan stepped up. "Shira, I am trying to do you a favor. I am trying to get you out of here before someone calls the law and your face is plastered all over the papers." Rory told her,

"Shira," Logan said. "It is time to go. I will call you a car, but don't think this is over. I will be by your house Sunday to talk with you about this. I suggest you sober up before I get there."

Honor and Logan both were laughing. "Well what happened when you went to see her Sunday.

Logan laughed again. "Well, if you must know." He began.

Sorry guys. Short Short Short Chapter, but I think you will forgive me. I have plans for the next five or more chapters. I hope to work on them this weekend, but I have lots to do this weekend. Hope to see the reviews.
