The car glided through the winding roads as Johnny Cage and Kenshi Takahashi returned to the city. The once serene atmosphere in the vehicle was now tinged with an underlying tension brought about by work's intrusion into what was meant to be a peaceful day.
The familiar city skyline came into view, and they navigated through traffic until they reached the parking garage. Johnny, visibly displeased, parked the car with a heavy sigh. "Back to the fucking grind Ken-doll," he muttered, the frustration still lingering in his voice.
Ever the voice of reason, Kenshi placed a comforting hand on Johnny's shoulder, " Hey, it's okay, Sweetheart."
" But we planned the perfect day, Kenshi." Johnny said, gripping the steering wheel, " Why can't I get a fucking break."
"Yes, you're right, Johnny." Kenshi said, " We did plan the perfect day. But the faster we get this done, the faster we can put it behind us and get back to enjoying our time together without any interruptions," Kenshi remarked, offering a reassuring smile, " I'll be with you the whole time, love."
Johnny, reluctantly acknowledging the truth in Kenshi's words, nodded. "You're right. Let's get in and out of there as quickly as possible." He said, getting out of the car with Kenshi following behind him.
As they walked through the parking lot, the couple noticed something wasn't right. Although the garage was tranquil, there were hardly any cars, which put Kenshi and Johnny on edge.
" That's odd. The studio seems to be on vacation." Johnny said, looking around.
" Odd indeed." Kenshi agreed, " Something is not right. Johnny, keep your guard up."
" You don't have to tell me twice," Johnny muttered, keeping his guard up.
The parking garage presented a chilling, haunting atmosphere. The lights flickered, and the only sounds were cars in the distance passing through the streets below. After turning a corner, Johnny and Kenshi spotted a body in the distance behind a vehicle. The couple rushed to the prone form.
" Hey, buddy! Are you okay?" Johnny asked, finally reaching the body. Upon reaching the unmoving form, Johnny's eyes widened, " Oh my god!"
Noticing his husband's sudden change, Kenshi asked, " Johnny, what is it?"
Johnny took a few steps back, "It's Ian. Kenshi, he's dead!"
" What!?" Kenshi looked using Sento. Sure enough, it was Johnny's manager lying in a pool of blood. Ian's eyes stared blankly in the distance. From closer examination, Kenshi noticed Ian's neck was slit, causing massive bleeding," How could this be? You just got off the phone with him." Then Kenshi put the pieces together, " Johnny. It's a setup."
" A setup!? From who?" Johnny said, looking around the parking garage to see if everyone was ready to ambush them.
Kenshi noticed something protruding from Ian's mouth. Gripping the object, He found a piece of paper folded. As Kenshi unfolded the paper, his eyes widened behind his blindfold in fear. " Oh no, it can't be." Kenshi said, his fingers trembling, dropping the piece of paper.
Curious, Johnny glanced at the paper over on the ground. He turned his head towards Kenshi after realizing what was on the paper, " Kenshi is that- "
" Yes, it is," Kenshi said, cutting Johnny off. The Yakuza! They found me." He looked at the Yakuza symbol printed on the paper on the floor.
Johnny's eyes widened, hoping that it wasn't true. Kenshi told him numerous stories of his past. The amount of regrets that plagued Kenshi for the rest of his life. Johnny grabbed Kenshi's arm, " Baby, we have to get out of here." The actor said, trying to get his husband to move.
However, their world took an unexpected turn. They could hear footsteps in the distance. Shortly after, they were surrounded by men dressed in all-black suits, sporting shades that concealed their eyes. Some wielded swords, while others clutched guns, creating an ominous atmosphere. Seeing the symbol embedded in their suit, it's clear they are all Yakuza gang members.
" What the fuck is going on." Johnny muttered to Kenshi, " Seems your old friends have a thing for the Hollywood industry."
" Johnny, now's not the time to be making jokes," Kenshi whispered with a hint of irritation.
Getting into their fighting stance, Johnny and Kenshi stood back to back, preparing themselves for the fight that was about to break out.
Amidst the tension, a figure in a striking black and red suit stepped forward, revealing himself as the orchestrator of this unexpected encounter. Kenshi's gaze focused on the tattoos adorning the man's hands, recognition flashing across his face. It was a realization that sent shivers down Kenshi's spine.
The man gave the blind swordsman a sinister smile, " Kenshi, my friend, long time no see."
" Yuri. Not long enough," Kenshi said, scouring his eyebrows.
With a sinister grin, Yuri addressed Kenshi directly: "You thought you could escape the Yakuza, Takahashi." Standing next to Kenshi, Johnny felt a chill run down his spine as he processed the gravity of the situation.
Kenshi's expression hardened to a mix of determination and wariness. "I left that life behind me," he retorted, his hand subtly reaching for the hilt of Sento.
Yuri continued to taunt them, his voice dripping with menace, "You can't escape your past, Takahashi. We've been watching, and now it's time to settle the score."
" You used Ian to get to us." Johnny said, looking at Ian's lifeless body, " Then you killed him."
Yuri turned his attention to the actor. " It's a pity, I must say. He was terrified. But he was VERY cooperative." Looking at the dead body, he explained, " Unfortunately, he is no longer useful to us."
Hearing those words was like a punch to Johnny's stomach. Kenshi placed a hand on his husband's shoulder. Holding in his emotions, Johnny gave Kenshi a reassuring nod before returning his attention to Yuri, " What do you want?" Johnny demanded, a hint of concern etched on his face. Yuri looked at Johnny with a sly grin before turning his attention to Kenshi."
Yuri's voice, dripping with menace, informed Johnny, "Your friend here, Kenshi, has some unfinished business to attend to."
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Kenshi tightened his grip on Sento, ready to defend himself. With resolve, Kenshi retorted, "I'm not going anywhere."
Johnny, standing shoulder to shoulder with Kenshi, " And I'm not going to let you take him away, asshole." He said, mirroring the defiance in his stance.
Unfazed by their readiness, the Yakuza leader chuckled and said, "We can do this the easy way or the hard way. It's your choice."
" Fuck you!" Kenshi spat, not giving in.
" Suit yourselves," Yuri snapped his fingers, signaling his men. The Gangsters charged at both Johnny and Kenshi. Two attacked Johnny, while the other two teamed up against Kenshi. As the first blows were exchanged, a chaotic dance of fists kicks, and the clash of weapons ensued.
Kenshi blocked a punch from one gangster and countered with a punch to the stomach, followed by a knee to the gangster's face. Not letting the first gangster have a chance to recover, Kenshi Roundhouse kicked the gangster, sending him crashing to the ground.
Satisfied, Kenshi went to help Johnny. But he forgot about the second gangster behind him. He was grabbed from behind and thrown on the hood of a nearby car, cracking the windshield. The air got knocked out of him.
With a bat, the yakuza member swung at Kenshi's head.
The blind swordsman quickly rolled away to the ground. He managed to scramble to his feet, facing his attacker.
" Just give up." The Yakuza member with the bat said.
" Over my dead body." Kenshi spat
" That can be arranged." The gangster growled, swinging the bad around.
Kenshi dodged and weaved from each swing. He managed to catch the bat with both hands and used his foot to kick the gangster in the knee.
The gangster cried out in pain, hearing a crunch from the impact.
Kenshi took this opportunity to twist the gangster's hand, forcing him to release his grip on the bat. Then Kenshi followed by hitting him in the throat, causing the faster to gasp for air.
Using the newly obtained weapon, Kenshi swung the bat connecting to the gangster's head, knocking him unconscious.
On the other side of the parking garage, Johnny fought the other two Yakuza members. One had a katana, while the other had nunchucks.
Dodging each attack, Johnny focuses on the gangster with the katana. As the Yakuza member tried to slice the actor again, Johnny slid down into the splits and then punched the gangster in his jewels.
The yakuza member yelled in pain, grabbing his crotch in the process.
Johnny wasted no time and swung his legs at the gangster's ankles, causing him to fly in the air. Then Johnny finished by shadow-kicking him into the wall.
Now Johnny just has to deal with the Yakuza member with the nunchucks. They both circled each other before charging towards one another.
The gangster skillfully swung the nunchucks, trying to hit his opponent.
With his speed, Johnny used his forearms to block the attacks. Ducking his head from another attack, Johnny drove his elbow to the gangster's stomach before punching him in the face.
Quickly recovering, the Yakuza members tackle Johnny to another concrete pillar.
The back of Johnny's head connected to the pillar caused him to be momentarily dazed. Despite the dizziness, Johnny grabbed the gangster's head and head-butted him.
The gangster growled in pain as he stumbled back, holding his head.
Seeing that his opponent was vulnerable, Johnny threw a few punches in quick succession to the gangster's chest before shadow-kicking him into a nearby car. Rubbing the back of his head, Johnny shook the dizziness from his head. He met up with Kenshi, who just finished taking down another opponent.
Despite the odds stacked against them, Johnny and Kenshi's resilience and coordination proved formidable. The Yakuza members found themselves on the receiving end of a relentless counterattack.
However, Yuri, undeterred by his subordinates' struggles, took matters into his own hands. In a desperate move, he drew a concealed firearm, aiming it at Kenshi with deadly intent. A sharp gunshot echoed in the garage.
" GAHHHH!" Kenshi gasped in pain as the bullet pierced his arm. Caught off guard, Kenshi dropped to his knees, clutching his now bloody arm.
Johnny, momentarily distracted by the gunshot, said, " KENSHI!" He shouted in disbelief. The sight of his husband in pain fueled a surge of adrenaline within Johnny.
The actor ran straight towards his fallen husband. Before Johnny could reach Kenshi's side, a Yakuza member seized the opportunity to strike. With a swift motion, he smashed the butt of his gun into Johnny's temple. Johnny's body went limp. He dropped to his knees before he crumpled to the ground onto his side, unconscious.
" JOHNNY!" Kenshi yelled out, a mixture of anguish and desperation in his voice.
" Ah ah ahhhhhh!" Yuri said, pointing the gun at Johnny's unconscious form. He grinned menacingly and warned Kenshi, " One more, and I'm going to blast his brain all over the parking garage."
Not wanting to move for Johnny's sake, Kenshi continued kneeling, holding his bloody arm in the process, " Please don't hurt him; he has nothing to do with this."
Yuri shrugged his shoulders while pointing the gun to Johnny, " Perhaps. Unfortunately, Cage is now involved. You know we can't let people just walk away, Takahashi." He said, looking at his men, " Take the actor."
Kenshi's eyes widened behind his blindfold, " What!? What do you mean!? What are you going to do to him?" Kenshi panics as he watches his husband being picked up and taken away by Yakuza members. Kenshi tried to stand, but another gangster grabbed him from behind. Kenshi hissed in pain from the gunshot wound as he struggled to break free.
Seeing the blind swordsman struggling, Yuri chuckled, " Don't worry, Takahashi. You will be welcome home with open arms." Yuri said, tapping Kenshi's face. Without warning, Yuri placed a dampened rag over Kenshi's mouth and nose.
The blind swordsman struggled in his captor's arms. The pungent smell of chloroform quickly engulfed Kenshi, and before he could resist, the world around him blurred. The Yakuza's cruel tactics took their toll, and his body felt heavy. Kenshi can feel himself slipping from the waking world as his body jerks. Eventually, Kenshi succumbed to unconsciousness. Kenshi's last thoughts were of Johnny Cage lying on the ground, vulnerable.
