Naruto quickly created some shadow clones and rushed at Neji. Neji flipped over and deflected Naruto's attack, knocking him and his clones back. Naruto tried to charge at him again but Neji punched two of Naruto's clones, destroying them as well.
"You become Hokage? That's impossible with that tactic." Neji smirked. "I can figure it out with my eyes. Talent is decided at birth. You could say everything is decided when a person is born."
"WHY IN THE HELL DO YOU ALWAYS AUTOMATICALLY DECIDE THINGS LIKE THAT!?"
"Then you're saying that anyone can become Hokage through hard work? Only a handful of shinobi are chosen as Hokage. Take a closer look at reality. Only those who become Hokage are born into that destiny. You don't become it by trying, it doesn't work that way. People must live in their own interchangeable flow. Only one the only destiny that every person shares...is death."
"SO WHAT!? I'M NOT GOOD AT GIVING UP!" Naruto shouted and he created some multi-shadow clones.
"Do you think that I'm stupid. I already seen through your attack pattern." Neji spoke. Naruto scoffed.
"I ALREADY TOLD YOU TO STOP AUTOMATICALLY DECIDING THINGS!"
Naruto charged at Neji with his many clones. Neji easily dodged Naruto's punches and kicks. Then Neji charged at one of the Narutos, standing a little further back behind the other clones. Neji striked him in the upper shoulder. Neji stepped back and the rest of the clones vanished.
Naruto began to up some blood.
"Naruto!" Yuri shouted.
"That's why I told you it's useless." Neji spoke. Naruto laughed and wiped his mouth, looking at Neji.
"That's why I told you to stop automatically deciding things." Naruto vanished in a cloud of smoke, revealing to be a clone. Neji's eyes widen and two more Naruto clones suddenly appeared, lunging at Neji from behind.
"Yes! Go Naruto!" Yuri shouted. "Beat his ass!"
"I'M COMING AT YOU WITH EVERYTHING I GOT AND I'M ALREADY PREPARED TO DIE!"
Both Narutos punched Neji, pushing him back a little. But Neji suddenly began to spin and knocked Naruto back and destroyed his clone. Neji smirked.
"You thought you had won?"
"Damn." Naruto growled, wiping his chin.
"It's over you are within the field of my Hakke." Neji spoke and got into a stance. "Gentle Fist Style, 64 Palms!"
Neji lunged at Naruto, striking him and punching repeatedly. His movements were so fast that Naruto wasn't able to block Neji's attacks or defend himself. Naruto fell to the ground. He struggled to get back on to his feet.
"I have hit 64 points on your body. You can no longer stand." Neji said. Naruto fell over again, holding his stomach in pain. Neji laughed.
"Painful, isn't it? Stay on your knees and give up. You can not change fate. Having your dreams come true through hard work is an illusion." Naruto glared up at him.
"Naruto, get up!" Yuri shouted.
"Man, she's annoying. She really needs to mind her own business." Neji growled. Naruto glanced over at Yuri before turning back to Neji and he chuckled.
"That's because she knows me really well. I told you before, I'm not good at giving up." Naruto said to Neji and slowly he stood up.
"Quit already-continuing won't change anything." Neji frowned. "I have no grudge against you."
"JUST SHUT UP ALREADY! I DO!" Naruto shouted, angrily.
"What do you mean?"
"If you can see everything with those eyes of yours, then why did you mentally attack Hinata, who was trying so hard?" Naruto questioned. Neji glared at him.
"That's none of your business."
"Touched a nerve, did I? Insulting Hinata and automatically deciding she's worthless because she's the main branch of the family...I don't know what the hell happened. But I'll never forgive people like you who call other people worthless!"
"All right, fine. If you're going to go that far, I'll tell you. The Hyuga's destiny of hatred." Neji spoke. "The main Hyuga family has a special ninjutsu that's been passed down. It's a curse seal."
"A curse seal?" Naruto questioned.
"The curse of the mark represents "A bird in a cage." It is the symbol of being tied down to an inescapable destiny." Neji reached up and took off his forehead protector and on his forehead was two green lines with a curve and in the center was spiral X. Naruto and Yuri's eyes widen when they saw it.
"That mark is..." Naruto stammered.
"One day when I was four, I had this horrible seal carved into my forehead through that cursed jutsu. That day, a grand ceremony was taking place in the Leaf. A shinobi leader from the cloud country, which had been warring with the Leaf for many years, arrived to sign a peace treaty. But at this ceremony, which everyone attended, from Jonin to Chunin, one clan was missing. That was the Hyuga Clan. Because that was the important day the Heir to the Hyuga clan turned three. Miss Hinata's third birthday." Neji explained. Naruto's eyes widened in shock.
"My father Hizashi Hyuga and her father were twins. But Hinata's father, Hiashi, was born first. A member of the main family. And my father, the second son, became a member of a branch family. When the Hyuga's first daughter grew and became three, I was turned into "A bird in a cage." through this curse. As a Hyuga branch member."
"But why do you need that mark? Why was it necessary? To be able to tell the differences between the two families?" Naruto asked.
"This mark on my forehead is not simply a decoration." Neji frowned. "This curse seal is to instill absolute fear of death given by the main brain family, to keep them in line. With this curse seal, the branch member's mind can easily be destroyed. Death is just as easy, of course. And this curse will disappear after they die, sealing the Byakugan along with it. The Hyuga clan house holds great advance blood. Those that go after those secrets are incalcuable. So with this jutsu, the branch family is allowed to live only to protect the main family. And that incident occurred..." Neji chucked.
"My father was killed by the main family."
Naruto's eyes widen in shock. "Huh?!"
"One night, Lady Hinata was taken by someone. Then Hiashi quickly took care of it and killed him. Who do you think it was?"
Yuri frowned. It had to be the cloud ninja...
"He was the cloud country shinobi leader, who had just signed the peace treaty." Neji revealed. Naruto's eyes widen.
"It had become clear that he was here to get the Hyuga clans secrets. But with the cloud country's leader dead in the failed plan, they made demands of the Leaf for breaking that alliance. It almost came close to a war. But with the Leaf wanting to avoid a war, they made a deal with the cloud."
"Deal?" Naruto asked.
"The cloud wanted the main hyuga clan's pure blood and the Byakugan. The demanded the corpse of Hiashi Hyuga. And the Leaf agreed to their wishes and war was safely avoided." Neji explained. "My father sacrificed himself to replace the remains of Hiashi Hyuga's corpse." Naruto's eyes widened. Neji smirked.
"To escape this horrible curse there is only death. They were twins, one born first and the the other second. Destiny was decided just by that." Neji spoke. Naruto clenched his fists. "And our fight...Your destiny was decided the moment I became your opponent. Your destiny is to lose to me."
"We won't know until is over!" Naruto shouted. "I don't know how much it hurt that your dad was killed but thinking that destiny is all decided because of that is a huge mistake!"
"Your hopeless." Neji murmured and he rushed at Naruto, striking him. Naruto was knocked back, falling to the ground. Neji turned to walk away.
"Don't you walk away from me." Naruto growled and he coughed up a little blood. "I won't run. I won't go back on my word."
"I've heard that before." Neji smirked.
"There's no way I'll lose to a coward who's always whining about his destiny." Naruto shouted.
"An ignorant brat like you shouldn't be lecturing me." Neji glared at him and activated his Byakugan. "You could never understand what's like to be burdened by a symbol you could never get rid of!"
Naruto laughed." Yeah...I can. And so, what?" He said to Neji. "Stop acting cool. You're not the only one who's special. HINATA'S SUFFERED JUST AS MUCH AS YOU! A MEMBER OF THE MAIN BRANCH OF THE FAMILY, WHO ISN'T ACKNOWLEDGED, TRYING HER BEST TO CHANGE HERSELF, THINKING THAT AS SHE WAS COUGHING BLOOD AS SHE WAS FIGHTING YOU! YOU'RE THE SAME! THE BRANCH IS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT THE MAIN FAMILY, YET DOING THAT TO HINATA...IN TRUTH, YOU ARE TRYING YOUR HARDEST TO DISOBEY DESTINY!"
"Heh. You're 64 opening points are closed. You won't be able to use your chakra for a while. How can you fight?" Neji smirked. "In the end, you and Hinata share the same destiny."
"Shut up! Stop using that Byakugan to decide and act like you know everyone's destiny!"
"Then prove to me what you are saying is correct." Neji spoke.
"YEAH! I'M DEFINITELY GOING TO DEFEAT YOU AND PROVE IT!" Naruto shouted, furiously. Yuri gripped the railings, hard, watching, in concern.
"Come on, Naruto. What do you have up your sleeve?"
Neji turned to the examiner. "Enough talk. Examiner, I'm going to kill him. If you want to step in and stop it then go ahead."
Naruto began to gather up his chakra.
"It's useless your points have been repressed." Neji told him. Suddenly, red chakra began swirling erratically out of Naruto, growing more and more. Naruto's wounds and bruises, slowly healed up as well. Yuri's eyes widen, along with Gaara's and so did Neji's as they watched in shock.
The chakra began to turn into the 9 tails, flowing out of Naruto.
"HERE I COME!" Naruto growled. Naruto jumped into the air, fast, and threw some shurikens at Neji. Neji deflected them with his rotation technique, grabbing them. Naruto landed on the wall and Neji threw the shurikens back at Naruto. Naruto quickly moved, dodging the shurikens. The two both threw a kunai at each other. It bounced off and Naruto and Neji both lunged at each other.
"You're confident in close combat, right?" Naruto asked, smirking, and he charged at Neji. "I don't know about the Hyuga destiny of hatred, but if it's too much for you, then you don't have to do anything anymore! When I become Hokage, I'll change the Hyuga!" Naruto's chakra clashed against Neji's rotation technique.
A large explosion erupted, creating a large cloud of smoke. As it slowly began to clear, there was a large hole in the ground. A hand shot up, pulling themselves up. It was Neji. The smoke vanished, revealing Naruto lying down on the ground on the other side of the arena, in another crater. Yuri's eyes widen.
"There's no way he lost."
Neji panted as he glared at Naruto. "Loser. Sorry, but this is reality."
Suddenly, there was a low rumble as it came from the ground underneath Neji. Naruto bursted from the ground and punched Neji in the face. Neji fell to the ground. He tried to get up again, but his body couldn't move, completely exhausted.
"To quickly use a shadow clone in that situation. Your main jutsu, right? How careless of me." Neji gasped.
I failed the academy graduation exam 3 times. That's because unluckily for me, the ninjutsu on the final exam was always decided as my weakest jutsu. The shadow clone was my worst jutsu. Destiny can't be changed. Blah blah. Stop whining about stupid crap like that. Since you're not a loser like me."
"Yes! Naruto!" Yuri cheered.
"Winner, Naruto Uzumaki!"
