The medics came and took Neji away. Minutes have gone by, and Sasuke still hasn't showed up for his match yet.

"What the heck is this guy doing? Is he planning not to come?" Shikamaru questioned.

"Sasuke's not that type of guy." Yuri spoke. "He won't quit and run. He will come."

"Then where is he?" Shikamaru grumbled.

"Yuri's right though. Sasuke will definitely come!" Naruto shouted.

Temari, Kankuro and Gaara looked at each other, silently. Yuri noticed that Temari and Kankuro looked as if something was troubling them.

"Is something wrong?" She asked, walking over to the two. Temari and Kankuro's eyes widen. Temari made a small smiled.

"We were just wondering when that Sasuke guy is going to come. I bet he's not even going to show. He's too chicken to fight Gaara." She spoke. Yuri frowned.

"Just you wait." She told Temari. A lot of people were getting impatient, wondering what was going on.

"HEY! WHAT'S UP WITH THE MATCH!?"

"WHY ISN'T UCHIHA HERE YET!?"

"Ladies and gentlemen, the contestant for the next match hasn't arrived yet! Therefore, we will push back the match and begin the next one!" The exam proctor announced. Yuri's eyes widened. The next match? But, that's...

Yuri glanced over at Kankuro and looked over at Shino.

"That's just great." Shikamaru grumbled. "My match is one step closer."

"Now, the next match! Kankuro vs. Shino Aburame! Come down!" The examiner called out. Yuri saw Kankuro didn't move from his spot.

"Aren't you going to go down there?" She asked. "You're up-"

"I forfeit!" Kankuro shouted. Yuri's eyes widened.

"Huh!?" Naruto and Shikamaru exclaimed, shocked, as well. Temari scoffed and rolled her eyes and pulled out her fan. She used it to fly down to the arena, landing in the center.

"Looks like you're eager." the examiner spoke. "Shikamaru, get down here!"

"Alright, Shikamaru, go for it!" Naruto grinned and he pushed Shikamaru on the shoulder. Shikamaru fell over the railings and landed with a thud on the ground.

"Naruto!" Yuri scolded him.

"Oops." Naruto smiled, sheepishly.

Shikamaru still hadn't gotten up as he laid on his back.

"HEY! HURRY UP AND FIGHT!"

"YEAH! HURRY UP AND FINISH THIS CRAPPY MATCH!"

"Get up, kid! How long are you going to lie there!?" Temari shouted. Shikamaru, still didn't move. "What, are you going to give up too?" Temari smirked.

"Shikamaru! Good luck!" Naruto shouted.

"If you won't come then I will!" Temari shouted and charged at Shikamaru.

"Hey! I didn't start the match yet!" The examiner shouted, but Temari ignored him.

"Man, this girl's really is riled up." Shikamaru grumbled and pulled out two kunais. Temari slammed her fan down right on top of Shikamaru's head. As the smoke cleared, Shikamaru come out unharmed and was standing on the two kunais that he threw into the wall.

"Ya know, I really don't want to fight. And don't care if I become a Chunin or not. But I'm not going to lose to a girl!" Shikamaru smirked, looking down at Temari. Yuri blinked and raised an eyebrow.

"Was he flirting with her?" she thought to herself and smirked and leaned in closer over the railings. "Ooh, this is going to be fun." Kankuro noticed and smirked.

"You're sure riled up." He replied.

"Yeah, this is going to be great!"

Temari quickly jumped back and threw back her fan and unleashed a large gust of wind, aiming at Shikamaru. The wind scattered up the ground, making dust fly into the air. As it cleared, Shikamaru had vanished. He barely managed to escape in time from Temari's wind jutsu and was taking cover behind some trees.

"YEAH! BUST HER UP, SHIKAMARU! GET HER WITH THE 16 HIT COMBO!" Ino cried out. "GO, SHIKAMARU!"

Shikamaru sighed, getting annoyed. He looked up at the sky watching the clouds, slowly floating by.

"They're so lucky. Just free. I don't even want to do this in the first place!" Shikamaru thought to himself before he glanced down, noticing the hole that Naruto made in his last match.

"Wind Scythe Jutsu!" Temari created some more gusts of wind, attacking Shikamaru. But something darted out from the cloud of dust, heading towards Temari. Her eyes widen, seeing that it was Shikamaru's shadow possesion jutsu and quickly moved back. It stopped a few feet away from her, barely reaching Temari. Temari used her fan to cut it off.

"So, it must have a distance that it can reach." Temari thought to herself and looked back at Shikamaru.

"Looks like there's a limit to how much you can stretch, shrink, and change the shape of your shadow, isn't there?" She smirked. "No matter how much you change and stretch the shape, you still can't stretch it further than the surface area of your own normal shadow, right?"

Shikamaru smirked. "Haha. That's right." Yuri noticed. He's got something planned. Then Shikamaru made a strange hand sign.

"Is he meditating?" Yuri wondered. Shikamaru glanced back at Temari when he finished and Temari pulled back her fan again.

"Looks like you're finally getting serious!" She shouted and unleashed another gust of wind. Shikamaru quickly took cover behind the tree.

"There's no use in hiding!" She unleashed another wave of wind. "How long are you going to keep hiding!? Just give up already!"

A kunai shot out from the cloud of dust and Temari quickly deflected with her fan. Then the shadow near Temari's feet suddenly started to move again, crossing the mark she had made. Temari's eyes widen and she quickly backed away. The shadow stopped again in it's tracks.

"Very good. You saw through that." Shikamaru taunted.

"I see. You were waiting for the sun to go down lower. So, the shadows of the wall and yourself would grow larger."

Yuri noticed something unusual with Shikamaru's tactic. It's like he's trying to push her towards something by making Temari back away. TThen Kankuro's eyes widened when he saw something floating in the sky.

"Temari, watch out!" He shouted. Up in the air was a floating decoy that Shikamaru had made with his jacket with a kunai tied to it, making a small parachute. The shadow at Temari's feet began to move again. Temari's eyes widened and she quickly backed away. When she tried to turn the shadow followed her movements, turning as well.

"You won't get away!" Shikamaru shouted. Then his shadow stopped as it reached it's limit again. Temari smirked and raised her fan above her head to deliver a finishing blow. But before she could bring it down, Temari couldn't move. Her eyes widen in shock and so did everyone else. Temari dropped her fan as her arms moved on her own and got into the same position as Shikamaru.

Shikamaru smirked. "Heh. Finally, Shadow Possesion Jutsu, success!"

"H-How?" Temari questioned.

"What happened?" Kankuro wondered as well. Yuri pointed out.

"You see that hole behind Temari."

"Yeah?" Kankaru said, still confused.

"He used the hole in front of Temari to expand the jutsu and crawl out from behind and caught her. He was pushing her towards it." Yuri explained. Temari's eyes widened as well when she saw it when Shikamaru let her.

"N-No way." Temari frowned. Shikamaru started walk up towards her and Temari was forced to walk up to him.

"Yeah! Do it!" Naruto shouted.

Shikamaru raised his hand and Temari raised hers, copying him. She struggled trying to fight against Shikamaru's jutus, but couldn't. Temari closed her eyes, gritting her teeth.

"N-No!"

"That's it I give up." Shikamaru spoke. Temari quickly opened her eyes, looking at him in shock. So did everyone else.

"I give up. The continuous use of the shadow possession jutsu used up almost all my chakra. I can barely bind you for no more than ten seconds. I had thought up about 200 more moves but...it looks like I'm out of time. I'm tired and one match is enough for me."

"Winner, Temari!" the examiner shouted.

"Why did he give up!? Is he an idiot!?" Naruto growled and climbed over the railings and jumped down running over to Shikamaru. "Idiot!"

"Stop calling me an idiot."

"Why did you give up!?" Naruto demanded.

"Forget about it. Let's just enoy the next match." Shikamaru smiled. Naruto's eyes widened. Sasuke's match was next!

Temari hopped back up the railings, climbing over it. Yuri walked over to her.

"Hey, you okay?"

"That idiot! He had me, but he just gave up!" She growled.

"I don't know about you but that was some flirting down there." Yuri smirked. Temari blinked and so did Kankuro. Gaara stared at her, silently.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about!" Temari sputtered.

"Do you really think that he will come?" Kankuro asked.

"He will come. Definitely." Gaara suddenly spoke.

Suddenly, a gust of wind full of leaves blew into the center of the arena. It was Sasuke and Kakashi! Sasuke was wearing a different outfit, wearing black shirt and pants, in replace of his blue one.

"Sorry, we're late." Kakashi smiled.

"Your name?" the examiner asked.

"Sasuke Uchiha." Sasuke told him.
