Welcome back to the final part of the Obsidian fog arc yogaratw607 I don't wanna rush Zodie and Wendy's romantic relationship, I want to build up on it first but the dragon mark thing I'll definitely use; it'll have weird magical effects on Zodie. Now into the story.

Chp 6: Obsidian Fog Part 4

In the guild of putrid carnage guild sat their master sitting in his chair in the dark sipping wine. "All is according to plan and soon I'll have my revenge, no one will be able to stop me." He turned to a silhouetted figure.

Elsewhere Zodie and the group followed Cassidy's coordinance to Putrid Carnages guild hall and arrived. It was surprisingly about the same height as a palace with many floors. "Well, are there any ideas on how we're gonna get in?" Carla asked.

Gajeel looked over and noticed a couple of guild members guarding in one spot. The iron dragon grinned. "I got one disguise and distraction." The robed guild members were chatting amongst themselves til one of them was hit in the head by a small rock that came from the bushes. The lot came to inspect but were suddenly met with a power iron mace to head from Gajeel who knocked them all unconscious. Gajeel and Juvia both donned the disguises Zodie and the kids couldn't fit them so they used the phoenix slayers invisibility ability to get in. The kids followed the older wizards inside. The interior had a large lounge area with banners showing the putrid carnage symbol with a bar.

"Oh crap this place is huge, where the hell are we gonna find the dungeon?" Asked Gajeel

Suddenly they overheard commotion from two other guild members. "Oi take this down to the dungeon and feed the prisoner!" He ordered his guild mate.

"That answers our question." Said Wendy. "Let's follow him."

The group proceeded down to the dungeon following behind the dark guild member once they reached their destination the guard was met with a hit to the head courtesy of Gajeel. No other guard was in sight so he and Juvia went ahead and removed their disguises. Wendy and Gajeel began tracking Juno's scent. "Hey everyone I picked up her scent, she's this way," said Wendy. The group followed until they stopped upon a familiar figure laying down, it was Juno.

"Juno.!" Said April.

The said girl turned to them. "Oi blokes there you are." Gajeel went over and tore the door clean off. "How'd you get in here past the guards?"

"Deception and disguise." Zodie answered.

"We can save all that for later, let's unleash this stuff and turn everyone back to normal." Said Gajeel.

"We'll need to split up I think me and Gajeel and stay down here holding the other guild members back while you five make your way to the top of the device and release the cure."

"Let's do it," said Zodie."

Gajeel and Juvia blew the dungeon to smithereens, blowing several carnage members away allowing the kids and Carla to make their way up to the top. Zodie carried Juno Carla while holding Wendy while Abner hitched a ride with April on Bulby who was climbing up the different floors to the guild hall.

"Iron dragon club." "Water nebula." Both ex-phantom lord members unleashed their magical attacks sending their enemies flying.

"Wait a minute I… I recognize these two, t…that's black steel Gajeel and the chick is the rain woman who was part of element four!" Spoke to a frightened member.

"Crap their ex-phantom lord members and their s-class ranks."\

"Let's get the hell out of here!"

Gajeel began laughing. "Hey come on don't run away I was starting to enjoy myself, guess that's what happens when your reputation precedes us."

"Now that they're out of the way there's still the matter of dealing with the other two members of the toxic trio." Juvia said. "Mostaza was tricky and dangerous so this definitely won't be easy."

"Right, you are madam." Spoke a familiar voice. It was Wallace and he wasn't alone. Mo'o had her arm hooked around his. "So you were able to defeat Mostaza huh, should've known that fool wouldn't stand a chance."

"Serves him right for biting off more than he can chew." Mo'o mocked.

"Speaking so ill will towards your own comrade you really are a dark guild." Juvia said.

"Enough talk I owe you two a beat down from last time, so let's do this." Gajeel said with a toothy grin.

Wallace threw his coat off and began to blow up his body like a balloon with spikes sticking out, the bloated dark mage then rolled over towards Gajeel but the iron dragon delivered a massive kick sending Wallace back into a wall. Mo'o then went on to attack with two of her flame infused acid whips and had Gajeel on the run playing defense. "Come on black steel show me what you've got, are you afraid of my flame acid whips that bad?"

'Last time this chick burned through my scales so I gotta be careful.'

Mo'o was then intercepted by Juvia. "Water cyclone." The aquatic mage unleashed a torrent of water onto Mo'o sending her into a wall along with Wallace.

Both adversaries got up from the rubble and dusted themselves off. "They're not former s-class wizards for no time to get serious, both members began to glow purple and transform. Wallace grew larger and began to take the appearance of a slug/ blowfish like creature. He had the spikes of a blow fish along with bottom features of a slug. Mo'o skin began to turn a toxic green and fire began to surround her body. Gajeel then shot his iron dragon club at him but his attack just slipped off leaving his arm covered in slime.

"What the hell." He was then hit with a stream of fire/acid from Mo'o, he used his scales to defend but like last time it didn't prove to be all that effective.

"Water ray." Juvia unleashed an attack but Wallace despite his stature was quick enough to get in front and absorb it which resulted in his slime body getting thicker. He then unleashed his spikes from his body at the aquatic mage making her dodge.

After Mo'o's assault on Gajeel she halted her attack and was inching closer towards him. "What's wrong Gaji you look tuckered out, too bad now im gonna deliver the coup de grace." Gajeel then took off running from her, making Mo'o laugh. "It's always more fun when they run." Mo'o said, taking off after him.

With Zodie's group they decided to continue the rest of their journey on foot instead of flying; Zodie and Wendy being the only ones who can fly didn't want to waste up their magic power. "Holy crap how many stairs does this place have? I'm getting exhausted." Wined Abner.

"Suck it up Ab besides Bulby carried you halfway you're just out of shape, so we can't stop now." Said April.

"You think Gajeel and Juvia are doing ok?" Wendy asked worriedly.

"Well they're former s-class wizards so i'm sure they'll be alright Carla said.

"They'll be fine right now. We have to go on with our mission not just for the guild but for everyone else." Said Zodie.

Juvia was kept on the run from Wallace who was relentless, her magic only made him stronger and her water body couldn't protect her form from his spikes. "At this rate I'll tire myself out. There has to be a way to stop him but how."

"You're only delaying the inevitable so i'd suggest giving up madam you can't stop me." Wallace mocked. "All this is making me parched for a nice drink of wine."

That sparked an idea in Juvia. "That's it." The water mage then came out of her hiding spot and faced Wallace.

"Oh have you come to accept your defeat?"

"No, I'm only here because you were thirsty." Juvia sprinted towards Wallace hands now turned into water and shoved them right into Wallace's mouth and began to fill him up with water; like blowing air into a balloon. He began swelling up before he was sent flying all around the building, he flew through several walls before tumbling and falling unconscious. "Now then I'd better go and help Gajeel."

The iron dragon kept himself on the run from the wrath of Mo'o. "Damn this sucks im not getting anywhere with all this running around, I cant keep running and I can't touch her without getting burned. If only mr scales had more layers then maybe I could land one critical hit on her." The iron dragon suddenly got an idea, he stopped suddenly and found his way into a kitchen where there were loads of utensils and bowels made of metal. "I got an idea but first I need a little snack."

"Oh Gaji waji come out, come out wherever you are, we're not done playing yet."

"Hey!"

Mo'o turned to see Gajeel facing her, she grinned. "So finally came to submit?"

"Nope this fight has gone on long enough." Gajeel put on his ironscales absorbed as much air into his mouth as he possibly could. "Iron dragon roar." As soon as the spell exited his mouth Gajeel ran in front of it and let it engulf his body allowing the spell to have a second more dense layer of armor over his scales. (Author's note, what pikachu and swellow did in that one pokemon episode).

"You think that'll work, I'll burn it all right off so come at me."

Gajeel shot straight towards his opponent with his hand now made into a mace and made direct contact right into Mo'o's stomach forcing spit out of her mouth. "Y…you think that'll work my body will melt your armor clean off!"

"Oh I don't think so." His mace then extended pushing Mo'o back into several walls before coming to a stop leaving her knocked out cold. Gajeel retracted his arm with a serious burn on it. "Oh crap I didn't think that would work."

Juvia then came running up to him. "Gajeel, it seems like you don't need my help after all."

"I was doing just fine, but enough talk we need to get up there and help them and put an end to all this nonsense." Suddenly more dark wizards showed up along with a few infected citizens from the fog. "You go up there and help them I handle these clowns."

"All Right but be careful not to hurt the citizens."

"Yeah yeah I know ya don't have to tell me that.!"

Back with the kids who finally reached the top of the roof of the guild hall. "Okay Cassidy said that the device was around here somewhere." Abner said.

"Perhaps that's it over there." Carla pointed out.

The kids looked in the direction Carla pointed out. "Ok good let's load this thing up."

As they made their way over to the device they were stopped by a clapping sound. Out from a corner walked a man wearing a red hooded robe. "So you are the children who have been giving me such trouble with my plans."

"Who're you?" Asked Wendy.

"How rude of me." The robed man removed his hood; he had chalk white skin with a skull face and snake-like slits in his nostrils, and he had green eyes. "My name is Mortem Callas and I am the master of this guild."

"Y…you were the one who had Cassidy give me that statue which nearly took out a whole city!" Abner said glaring daggers at him.

"Indeed I am and that fool failed. I should've never picked him up off the streets!" Mortem said.

"It's over, Mortem we got the cure to stop your fog so I suggest you step aside your outnumbered and we have two former s-class wizards from phantom lord allied with us." Zodie spoke confidently.

"Yeah they're not too far behind us." Wendy added.

Suddenly all four kids including Carla felt a sharp nick on each of their arms, they happened to look down to see a bit of blood coming from them. "W…what just happened we're bleeding." Abner said.

"Where'd the attack come from, was it Mortem?" Asked Carla.

"Don't worry I'll heal you guys." Said Wendy but right as she was about to, her whole body went numb before she fell to the ground on her stomach followed by Zodie April and Abner. "What's going on I…I can't move!" Wendy said.

"Neither can we!" April said.

Zodie happened to notice Juno was standing next to Mortem licking up blood from the palm of her hand. "Juno what're you doing over there with him, get away."

Mortem then began to pat Juno on the head. "Well done my apprentice, I knew I could count on you."

The six kids looked shocked. "I knew there was something off about you, you're working for him."

"J…juno why?" April asked.

"Go on, my child but before you do, go ahead and show them what you really are." Said Mortem.

Juno's body was engulfed in a white flash when it died down and her true form was revealed. Her hair color and shape remained the same but was about five foot nine, her skin was now teal and her belly was covered in brown scales. Her arms are a darker shade of teal, her toes had two claws and she now only has four claw-like fingers instead of five. Finally she had sharp teeth, yellow eyes and horns sticking out of her forehead.

"Wow Juno you're a demon." Said Wendy shocked.

"Hey, you owe us an explanation." Zodie said.

Ok I think I'll stop here I know I said this would be the last chapter of this arc but there's more to do and I don't wanna fit it all into one chapter hopefully the next chapter will be the last one, we'll get into Juno's back story and reason for the betrayal; if you guys have any ideas I'd love to hear them. Yogaratw607 Your brilliant mind knows no bounds. I love the dynamic of Zodie and Natsu having a little brother and big brother dynamic. The nightmare ability you must've got that idea from Cloak from the cloak and dagger series. I love it. And you or Green248 said something about a companion for Zodie. I was thinking of him getting a familiar, how not sure but if you two have ideas I'd love to hear them. Peace
