"What the hell?" Alison was the first one to break the silence.

"Didn't the cops find this?" Spencer asked, looking at Toby.

"No…I mean we didn't know there was a door behind the bookshelf" He answered.

Emily saw the gurney and the big blade. Her nightmare was true. She was in this room. She could feel her chest tightening. Her breathing started to become shallow. She let go of Alison's hand and ran outside of the room and hurled all over the place.

She felt a hand caressing her back "Hey, this was enough. Let me take you home" the blonde said.

"No…" her voice came out very husky from the throw up "I'm okay, we can go b-" before she could finish her sentence Alison interrupted her.

"Emily Catherine Fields…you just threw up, let's go home" She wasn't asking this time and before Emily had a chance to reply, the blonde spoke up again "Don't make me call your mother"

"You wouldn't…"

"Wanna bet?" Alison said, taking out her phone.

Emily brought up her arms in defeat.

Toby and Spencer stayed behind, taking pictures of the room and the writing. Toby was gonna get it analyzed. Alison and Emily waited for them to come back outside and when they did, both couples went their separate ways.

Most of the car ride was silent, Alison wasn't sure what to say to help Emily so she just placed her hand on the brunette's thigh and left it there, which made Emily lay one hand on top of hers.

Emily took a detour, not wanting to go home just yet. They passed by a neighborhood where there was kids trick or treating with their parents.

They didn't decorate their apartment with any halloween decorations because well their life has been a whole halloween movie. The only thing they did was bought candy's and placed it outside their door for the kids that lived in the building.

They saw a mom and dad running after a 3 year old girl and neither could help but chuckle at the fact that that would be them soon.

Alison brought their intertwined hands to her her lips and kissed the brunette's hand.

"You sure you're ready for that?"

"I am. I've been wanting this…" She pointed at Alison, herself and Alison's stomach "…- since the day day I realize i was head over heals in love with you" she leaned over and placed a kiss on the blonde's cheeks.

"Are you?"

"As long as I have you… I'm up for anything" she knew how clingy that sounded but she also knew it was true. As long as she had Emily by her side, she could face anything that life threw her way.

By the time they arrived back it way past Tito feeding time so to say he was annoyed was an understatement. He was basically talking when they opened the door. The brunette fed him and placed more candy in the candy bowl outside before locking the doors and making sure everything was in order. She heated up some left overs and cut tomatoes for Alison.

Alison just got out of the shower and was putting on her pajamas. The shirt part was tighter than usual, she knew it was part of the pregnancy but it still bothered her. Deep down she knew Emily didn't care how she looked on the outside but it still bothered her, because what if?

What if my feet become swollen and she decides she doesn't like me anymore.

What if when I become bigger Emily decides she doesn't love me anymore.

She knew that a big part of why people were attracted to her was her body but it wasn't just anybody. It was Emily. The only opinion that mattered to her was Emily's, especially when it came her body.

She was so deep into her thoughts that she didn't hear Emily open the door. The brunette somehow knew exactly what she was thinking. She walked towards the blonde and wrapped her arms around her and laid both her hands on her barely noticable belly bump. Alison leaned into her.

"Stop it" Emily said, kissing the blonde's shoulder.

"Stop what?"

"Doubting how beautiful you are. You know damn well how beautiful you are…" she kissed her cheek "… that is one of the things as that's very attractive about you. Your confidence"

"But… if anytime you don't feel like it, you come and find me, i'll remind you how beautiful and so godamn sexy you are" She nuzzled her nose on Alison's neck.

"I promise you, you will remain this gorgeous five months from now, ten, twenty years from now" she kissed her cheek "If anyone tells you differently, you find me and I will kick their asses"

That made Alison laugh while having tears in her eyes "Thank you"

"Anytime…now come on, I brought tomatoes for you"

"Okay now I love you"

Emily made a fake shocked face "You love tomatoes more then you love me, don't you"

"50/50" Alison answered, laughing.

"I'll take it"

They walked back into the bedroom where Emily placed both plates for them on the bed.

It was mostly quiet while they were eating, except for the sound of Tito snoring on the ground. After they finished eating, Alison picked up the plates while Emily went for a quick shower.

Moments later Alison returned with two cups of tea and waited for Emily. She placed both her hands on her belly hoping to get any movements. It had become something she does to comfort herself.

A couple of minutes later Emily walked in and sat with her back against the headboard. Alison snuggled closer to the brunette and intertwined both her hands with Emily's. She could sense the question coming and prepared herself.

"Okay, what do you wanna know?"

"Firstly I'm still a little mad you were gonna go without me" Alison said, somewhat serious.

"I would be too" Emily replied, placing a kiss on her forehead.

It was small things like that that would make Alison feel giddy on the inside.

"The scratches on the wall…"

Emily took a big breath before answering "I could hear Maya calling out for me"

Even though Maya has been dead for six years, it was still hard for Emily to talk about her. Especially with Alison, given Maya was her first girlfriend. She knew the blonde had a very jealous side, she knew Alison was working on it but it was still there, although usually she didn't mind it.

Once she saw that the Alison didn't say anything, she continued.

"I could hear her voice through the walls, I was so drugged up that I didn't care if it was a hallucination or not…I just wanted to get to her" Alison could hear Emily's voice breaking, she turned her head slightly to look at the brunette and wiped away her tears.

"I saw how happy she made you" Alison's voice came out as a whisper.

"What do you mean?" the brunette furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

"What? You didn't think I would completely disappear and not check up on you girls?" she chuckled before continuing "...I may have been a little jealous at first when you and Maya started getting close but I can also see how much she made you smile and how happier you were…I know she was your first real love an-" Emily cut her off.

"You're my first love Alison…I mean yes she was my first girlfriend and yes I did love her, but you were always my first love"

The blonde's cheeks turned red and she buried her head back into the brunette's neck.

"Thank you for that but what I was gonna say was, I couldn't imagine what that must have felt like… losing someone you loved like that"

"In some ways… you could"

"You mean when you guys were kidnapped?"

She felt Emily nodding.

"I knew you weren't though" Alison said.

"You knew I wasn't dead?" Emily asked.

"Yes. I don't know how to explain it… that's not true, I do know… don't laugh at me okay?"

Emily chuckled "Okay I won't"

It was three days after the girls were taken. Alison would lose it on anyone who would dare say anything other then 'we will find them'

She had accidentally overheard a conversation two cops were having.

"I don't know why we're even searching for them, you know the statistics of missing people" the first cop said "if not found in 72 hours they are probably dead"

"They are probably dead in a ditch somewhere, besides we have more important things to be doing, like our fantasy football" the second cop said, laughing.

That made the blonde's blood start to boil. These cops had no idea what was coming their way.

"What did you just say?" Her voice came out angry, almost yelling. Her usual deep ocean blue eyes are now dark blue.

"Ma'am please calm down, there's no need to be yelling" the first cop said, placing one hand on her shoulder.

Alison jerked her hand shoulder away and was about to say something as Veronica Hastings walked in and by the way the blonde was standing she knew her niece was in distress.

"What's going on here?" She asked her niece directly.

"I overheard them saying that the girls are probably dead and they had better things to do … like their stupid fantasy football" Alison said, without giving the cops a chance to react.

Since Alison's mother died, Veronica made sure Alison was taken care of, in her own way. Hastings weren't well known for being the kind to talk about their emotions but they did look after their own.

"Alison go wait in your car" she recognized that voice and knew to do what she was told, even at 23 she is scared of the fury that is Veronica Hastings.

After twenty minutes Veronica walked to Alison's car "You don't have to worry about those two cops anymore"

"How could they say those things?"

"That is Rosewood PD for you" she was looking at her niece intently "have you slept?"

She shook her head.

"Come by tonight and stay the night" Veronica said.

Later that night Alison walked to the Hastings house… Veronica almost never cooks unless there was a reason and there was this time.

Before the blonde walked in she could smell what it was. It was the only thing Veronica knew how to make. Chicken fingers.

Both were quiet during dinner. Veronica was eating and working.

"Is it true?" Alison asked.

"Is what true?"

Alison didn't have time to process what the cops said about the statistics.

"That if they are not found in 72 hours, they are probably dead?" The blonde asked.

Veronica put her laptop aside to look at her niece who was clearly stressed out about it.

"Now you listen to me Alison. Those cops shouldn't have said that. There is no reason to believe they are dead, okay?"

Even though Veronica tried to reassure her as much as she could, Alison's mind couldn't stop thinking about the worst case scenario.

Later that light as she laid in Spencer's bedroom, even though there was a guest bedroom. She had a dream about Emily, Spencer, Hanna and Aria.

In her dream they were all in the barn having drinks. Emily had her arms around her and whispered "We're still alive Ali, don't give up" and placed a kiss on her cheek.

She also saw Spencer nodding at what Emily had just said.

That's what kept her going for three months until the girls were rescued.

Emily had a disbelief look on her face.

"I know it's stupid" Alison said, almost embarrassed.

"I was thinking the opposite actually… I had a similar dream once. Except it was just the two of us in bed and you were the one telling me to not give up" Alison looked up and they shared a sweet kiss.

It was silent for a couple of minutes before Alison spoke up once more. With her head in between Emily's neck and their fingers intertwined, she looked up slightly before asking.

"Do you believe in soulmates?"

Emily took her time to think about the question before she answered.

"I don't know about soulmates per say but what I do believe is this is it for me. You were it for me the moment we met 10 years ago… yes I have loved other people during those 10 years but I knew that one way or another it was always gonna be you and me" Emily said.

That was Emily Fields in a nutshell. She was big on happy endings, which is one of the million reasons why the blonde loves her.

"Isn't that the definition of soulmates?" Alison asked, in between sniffling.

Emily turned and wiped her tears away with her thumb "You okay?" Emily asked.

"Stupid hormones…" she said, in between each tear "I love you Emily Fields" she looked up and placed a kiss on the brunette's lip.

Emily smiled into the kiss and replied when they pulled away "I've always loved you Alison DiLaurentis"

They laid there in silence for a couple of minutes. Alison processing what Emily just told her. After about another ten minutes of crying, with Emily comforting her with forehead kissed and hugs, the blonde got control of herself again and after she did, she spoke up.

"You wanna talk about that well?"

The first time Emily and the girls knew about the well was when they thought they had escaped. They didn't get a chance to take a proper look at it because they were running to get out.

After they were let back in after spending three days outside with no food or water, they all got punished in all different ways.

Their first punishment came after they were all fed and had water. This person didn't want them to die, they just wanted to torture them.

Emily was the first one to get punished. They turned on the air ventilation and sleeping gas came through it making her fall asleep in less than five minutes. When she woke up again, she was in the well, with nothing but a pair of shorts and a roosewood swim team t-shirt.

"What the fuck" She whispered to herself and than the voice through the speaker started speaking.

"Next time you girls even think about escaping, I want you to think real hard about this moment right now"

"Wha-" Before she could finish her sentence, the well started filling up with water. The water felt like ice when it hit Emily's face. She knew at that moment what she had to do, so she stretched as much as she could before the water got to her hips.

She started floating with the water as it was filling up the well but what she didn't expect was for the well to be closed, so as the well was half filled, she started to panic. She knew she could last long afloat but the water was too cold for her to survive long.

Her legs were already going numb and it hasn't even been fifteen minutes.

The last thing she remembered was her eyes closing and going underwater, feeling the water filling her mouth before two hands scooped her out of the water but she was so out of it that she passed out.

When she woke up she was in her room, under some blankets. She could still feel the water in her throat.

Alison knew that Emily has always been someone who was mentally strong and in this moment right now, she thanked whatever there is out there for making her Emily this strong because she knew if the role was reversed she wouldn't have made it long.

"Your resiliency amazes me every day"

Emily moved out of their position they were in and placed her head on Alison's stomach and placed a kiss on it, avoiding Alison's comment because she did not feel like she was resilient.

"You're gonna be so loved when you arrive little guy" She whispered.

"Little guy ?...You want a boy?" Alison asked, with her hands in between Emily's hair.

"I don't really care as long as the kid is healthy but…yea I always imagine having a baby boy with you" she said, caressing Alison's stomach.

"Damnit" Alison said, with tears rolling down her face.

Emily looked up and wiped the tears away with her thumb, she placed her hand back on the blonde's stomach "Your mom is such an hormonal mess"

"Shut up" Alison playfully shoved the brunette.

She stayed quiet watching Emily whispering sweet nothings to her stomach "I'm gonna be your mamma and she's gonna be your mom," hoping for a kick or anything.

"Come on, give us something" but there was nothing.

"I think he's shy" Alison said.

Emily quickly responded "I highly doubt any kid of yours is gonna come out shy"

The brunette kept rubbing her thumb over Alison's stomach and soon she could feel the blonde twitching "What?"

"It's ticklish"

"Oh you mean this?" Emily placed her hand back.

"Don't you dare" Alison showed Emily a warning finger but the brunette didn't care.

Laughter filled the room. The brunette has always been stronger then Alison, so there was no way out and it doesn't help that Emily knew all of her ticklish spots. When Emily stopped the tickling she could see how red the blonde had turned and brought her into her arms.

For the first time in almost a month, both of them forgot completely about their past trauma's. They were just in their little bubble.

They had to reschedule their little date to Friday night because of their little side quest with Toby and Spencer. It was now Friday morning.

Emily had her arms wrapped around Alison with one hand in her hair and the other on her back. Alison had her legs wrapped around the brunette's even as she was under the duvet she was cold, thank heavens for Emily's natural body heat.

Alison could hear Emily softly snoring with a side smile on her face. The blonde couldn't resist but kiss her. As she pulled away from her embrace to get a better angle for the kiss she could hear Emily grumbling. She gently cupped her face and placed a long soft kiss on her lips. She took her time with the kiss, cherishing every single touch.

She could feel the brunette smiling into their kiss.

"Good morning" Alison said, as she pulled away from the kiss.

"It is indeed" she answered and gently pulled the blonde back in for another kiss.

Emily knew Alison needed time to go all the way so every time the blonde initiated a passionate kiss like this she appreciated every moment of it.

As their lips crashed against each other once more, the brunette placed her hands on Alison's hips and gently rubbed her thumbs on her hips. She could feel Alison's tongue on her lips, leaving wet trails on every single part of her lips. Her center began to heat up, it was something she couldn't control.

Alison was feeling the same way, her center was heating up. Without even thinking about it she climbed on top of Emily and went from kissing her lips to her neck, biting down a little harder which prompted a moan out of the brunette "Ali…"

Emily placed her hands on Alison's back and dug her nails into it.

The blonde can feel her breathing becoming more rapid, she knew it was because of the heat of the moment with Emily and because she can still feel that man's hands on her. She didn't realize that her hands were trembling.

The brunette pulled Alison away from her neck "It's okay" she placed a kiss on her nose.

"Remember, we'll take it one step at a time" she gave her a kind smile.

"I love you" Alison said, with their foreheads connected.

"I know" they both chuckled. Alison absolutely loved it when Emily was cocky.

"Oh by the way, I made a reservation to the fanciest restaurant tonight and I'm taking you to it tonight" Alison was still straddling the brunette.

"Oh, are you now?"

"Yes…If you're okay with that and with the fancy restaurant" Alison knew Emily wasn't big on going to fancy places. Her humble Emily.

"Alison, you could take me to a gas station as a date and i'll be happy"

"Damn, if I had known that I would have saved some money" Alison said, frowning and placing one last kiss on the brunette's lips before getting out of bed.

"How much money are we talking about here?" Emily asked, concerned when Alison didn't answered and she just walked out "Alison! How much money?Alison!"

Both had a pretty busy day. Alison was at the shop, instructing and helping the workers remodel the shop. She was in full boss mode which was always scary but adding hormones to the mix was a recipe for disaster.

There was a client that had been bitching for at least fifteen minutes about the noise and how the cashier, who was a new addition to the team, didn't know what she was doing and that she was slow. Alison's hormones were not helping at all.

She walked over to the cashier who was almost in tears and gave her a kind smile "Let me help her and you can go take a break" she motioned with her head towards the break room. The girl walked away and Alison turned her attention to the client.

"What seems to be the problem?" She asked in a stern voice.

"That girl…" she said in a disgusting voice and Alison got the feeling the woman was disgusted by the worker's skin color"doesn't know what she's doing and keep saying my credit card isn't working"

Alison took the credit card and swiped it once more and read on the machine Insufficient funds.

" That girl was not wrong…" she turned the machine and shower the client "It seems to me that you cannot afford these clothing"

Before the woman left, Alison spoke up once more "Ma'am, you're not allowed to come back in this store. We will not tolerate any sort of hate in the Regina Industry"

The woman looked embarrassed and huffed under her breath as she walked out of the store.

She took a breath and took out her phone.

Alison: I will commit murder today.

She got a response almost immediately.

Emily: I'll get rid of the body 3

Like always, the brunette had calmed her down. She put her phone away and went to the break room to talk to the employee.

"I'm so sorry Ms. DiLaurentis, I'm not usually like this. I let my emotions get the best of me" the girl said without taking a breath.

"Take a breather Ava, we all have off days" the blonde reassured her "Is everything okay at home?" Alison genuinely cared about the workers' life outside of work.

"My dog has been a little sick lately" she said, with tears in her eyes.

"I'm sorry to hear that, did the doctors say anything?" Alison asked, handing her a bottle of water.

"That she's old…" she took a sip of the water "… 14 years to be exact"

"Holy shit… what's her name?"

Ava had a smile on her face but at the same time she was sad "Jelly"

They spent five more minutes talking and went back to work.

Across town Emily was in her office working on the game. They were making a lot of progress since Emily's been back.

She had both her legs on the chair and Tito was laying under her table snoring. Emily had WhatsApp set up on one of her monitors especially for when Alison messages her.

"Tito, do you feel like burying a body?" He responded by yawning.

"You lazy shit, you never wanna do anything fun"

She kept reminding the blonde during the day to not murder anyone.

Emily wasn't even aware what time it was until Tito started pushing her with his snout that she noticed it was half past five.

"Just five more minutes buddy" Tito wasn't having it, he started pulling Emily by her pants "Alright, you win you duffus" she turned off her computer and the lights to the office and went to feed him.

She knew Alison was on her way back so she decided to go shower before the date. She took off her clothing and was fully naked.

The scar on her neck was healing but was still visible if you looked at it long enoug. She wasn't sure if it made her feel better knowing what had happened or not. She could still feel the blade scraping her neck, she could still feel the pain. Phantom pain as her therapist would say.

Her nails were just now growing again, besides the amount of times she had scratched the walls, she also picked up biting her nails when she was extremely anxious.

Alison had been putting on some nail polish that makes your nails strong every week. It was little things like that that made her fall in love with the blonde all over again.

As Emily was showering she thought back to one of her favorite memories she had with the blonde.

They were in their teenage years. They were supposed to be studying but Alison had other plans.

"Come on, Em"

"But we have to study"

"We will … once you let me do it" Alison said, giving Emily her biggest smile which she knew had an effect on the brunette.

"Fine" Emily said, rolling her eyes.

"Pick a color"

Emily looked at all the options "the light blue one"

Alison picked up the blue nail polish and started painting Emily's toe nails. The brunette kept moving her feet.

"Stop moving" Alison said, smiling.

"I can't help it, It tickles"

Alison looked up at the brunette "Get over it…" She continued painting then looked up again "You know you deserve better than Ben, right?"

"What are you talking about?" Emily said, confused.

"You deserve someone who brings you flowers, someone who knows what they have when they have you. Someone who not only appreciates your outside appearances but the inside too"

Emily tried to hide her reddening cheeks but was very unsuccessful doing it.

One of the things the blonde loved doing was making people blush, but especially Emily.

"Are you blushing Emily Fields?" she said, wiggling her eyebrows at her.

"How can I not when you say things like that" Emily responded, avoiding eye contact with Alison.

When she finished painting Emily's toenails she went for her fingernails. The brunette still couldn't keep eye contact with her.

"What about you? Who's your next boy toy?" Emily asked.

"I have my eyes on someone, but there's a lot to think about," Emily looked at the blonde curiously but when Alison didn't explain any further and Emily knew to just let it go.

Alison continued "let's make a promise to each other…if neither of us are married by the time we're thirty, we'll marry each other" She looked up at the smiling brunette.

Emily didn't say anything, she just nodded.

"Pinky promise?" Alison asked, while holding her pinky to Emily. The brunette intertwined her pinky with Alison's.

"Pinky promise"

As Alison was blowing on Emily's fingers to help it dry faster, Emily asked.

"What about kids?" she could swear Alison was blushing, which was rare because Alison DiLaurnetis almost never blush.

"I don't know… with the parents I have, how good of a mother could I be?" Emily was the only person Alison was comfortable enough to be vulnerable around.

"I think you would make an amazing mother, Ali" the brunette responded without a second thought.

"Do you want kids?"

"I think so, yes" Emily answered.

Neither of them could have predicted that seven years later they would not only be living together but they would be having a baby.

Emily finished showering and started getting ready, knowing that Alison should be getting home soon. She couldn't help but be nervous. It was their official first date after all. She was actually considering calling Hanna for fashion advice but didn't at the last minute. She put on some light make up and put her hair in a ponytail. Since they were going to a fancy restaurant she chose a long dark purple dress.

She didn't even notice how long it's been. She knew the blonde was always fashionably late so she didn't think much of it but decided to send her a text.

Emily: Your date is ready Ms. DiLaurntis.

No response, which was the first red flag because Alison was a quick responder.

Emily: Everything okay?

Nothing.

As she was about to call her, the blonde's caller ID came on her phone. She took a breath of relief when she saw it.

"Hey! I was about to call you, are you almost here?"

"Is this Emily Fields?" a voice that was not Alison spoke.

That was the second red flag "Yes, who is this?"

"My name is Andy, I'm from the rosewood hospital, could you come by as soon as possible?"

Emily's eyes widened "What? What happened? Where is Alison?"

"Ms. Fields, was in a car accident"

A/N: Emily should just put Alison in a box and never let her out, what the fuck happened now? I promise, next chapter will be longer! Also fun little fact. My first dog's name was Jelly and she did live to be 14 years old. The one time they had a date, of course something would happen to someone. Whoever wrote this is cruel...
