Blake was in complete shock. Stoick the vast, the enemy of his father was standing right in front of him

If he only had a weapon, he would charge at Stoick but he didn't have one, so he closed his fist as he tried to contain himself

"Y-Yeah… I'm… trying my best… Stoick" Blake said with a forced smile

"So, you know who I am. Your father has told you about me, hasn't he?" Stoick asked

"Indeed. He told me what I needed to know about you" Blake said

There was a clear tension growing between them, especially in Blake who wasn't going to be able to contain himself for long

Luckily, in that moment, Hiccup placed a hand on Blake's shoulder to calm him down

"Blake, I see you've met my dad" Hiccup said "So, what brings you here?"

"I just wanted to check on our… guest" Stoick said

"Guest? That's nice of you to say, if we consider that you captured me and took me away from my home" Blake said "But I still don't understand… why did you give me the chance to be one of you?"

"Alvin just wanted to use you as a weapon, that's why we take you away from Outcast Island, here you have the chance to have a better life, and I suggest you take it" Stoick said crossing his arms

"Just you know, if you're trying to make me doubt of my loyalty to my father, it won't work" Blake said

"But you're still here, you haven't tried to escape" Stoick said

"Why should I try to escape?" Blake said before pushing Hiccup's hand from his shoulder "You have dragons, so if I steal a ship or built a raft to return to Outcast Island, you'll be able to catch up with me in no time and I'll be captured again"

"You're not a prisoner here" Hiccup said

"It's still hard to believe… like I said, there's a huge void in my memory… and… I feel like it's not the first time this has happened to me" Blake said

"Come with me, I think there's something you need to see" Stoick said as he walked away

"This better be good" Blake sighed annoyedly as he followed Stoick "Thunder, come"

"I hope this works" Hiccup said as he followed them

Minutes later, they arrived at the docks. Some ships were being repaired while some of them were ready for sailing, but they went to one ship in particular

It was in a good state, even though it was clearly used a few times. They quickly got on board but Blake was really confused

"That's it? You bring me to a ship?" he asked

"It's more than that" Stoick said "Tell me, does it feel familiar somehow?"

Blake looked around the ship for a moment and realized that Stoick was right

"It… kinda does" Blake said "It kinda looks like the ships back… home"

Suddenly, Blake got another headache and fell to his knees, that was something Stoick didn't see coming

"Is he alright?" Stoick asked as he looked at Hiccup

"Don't worry, he might be remembering something" Hiccup said, and he couldn't be more right

Blake woke up in Gothi's hut, she was there along with Gobber

"Good you are awake, I was starting to wonder when will you wake up" Gobber said nicely "Here eat this it will make you feel better"

Gobber gave Blake some soup but instead of using the spoon to eat, he drank the soup straight from the plate

"Whoa, you were really hungry, huh?" Gobber asked as he saw Blake

"I'm sorry for that, it's just that I haven't eat properly in days" Blake apologized ashamed of himself

"It's okay, Gothi said that you were severely malnourished" Gobber said

"Thanks, but I have one question, how did I get here?" Blake asked

"We found you on a ship all alone, my name is Gobber by the way" Gobber said

When Gobber stopped talking Stoick immediately enter the room

"So, you are up, my name is Stoick chief of Berk now if you don't mind, I have a few questions for you, first: who are you?" Stoick asked

"My name is Blake sir but that's all I can tell, for some reason I'm not able to remember anything before waking up on that ship, I'm sorry" Blake said with a sad face

"Well in that case, we have to decide what to do with you until you get your memory back" Stoick said wondering if he could be trusted or not

"I can take care of him" Gobber quickly said

"Gobber, are you sure? we don't know him" Stoick said in disbelief

"I am sure, and I can tell by his face that he's not lying, besides, you know I always wanted to have a son" Gobber said

"Did… did I… did I lost my memory once before?" Blake asked as soon as his flashback ended

"You did, this is the same ship that Alvin used to send you here" Stoick said

"No… that's impossible" Blake said as he gave a step backwards "You're lying"

"I'm not, deep inside you, you know I'm telling the truth" Stoick said as he walked towards Blake "And you want to know why? Because you discovered it, when Alvin first attacked Berk"

Blake didn't know what to do, he felt like all of his life at Outcast Island was just a lie, that all of those years of training, discipline, and loyalty meant nothing. However, he didn't consider Berk as a home either

He felt like he was in a strange place with strange people who claim that want to help him to have a better life, even though he had some memories about Berk, it was all confusing for him

It was like seeing some fragments of a painting but not being able to see it all

Suddenly, Blake ran off without thinking, he didn't care where he was going, he just wanted to get off that ship. Of course, Thunder began to follow him

"Come on, bud, we need to catch up with him" Hiccup said as he got on Toothless' back

"Hold on, son" Stoick said, stopping Hiccup "Give him a moment, he needs to prosses it all"

"You're right but… I was hoping that this might remember him more about when he arrived" Hiccup said

"And it will, but you can't force him to remember everything in a blink" Stoick said

Hiccup knew that his dad was right, he couldn't force Blake to remember, but he couldn't just leave him like that for a long time

Meanwhile with Blake, he was still running. He was already at the forest, running without knowing where he was going, all of the forest looked familiar but at the same time it didn't

Then, he tripped over the root of a tree and fell to the ground

"Ow… great" Blake groaned in pain as he got up "What happened there… is true? Did... did my father just… send me away?"

"It's true… you know it" Blake's inner voice said

"You again… I told you to get out of my head" Blake said as he walked towards a tree, but he was walking slowly since his leg hurt him

"Alvin sent you here… you're a weapon for him" Blake's inner voice said

Blake tried to ignore it as he continued to walk a bit faster

"You can't hide from the truth!" Blake's inner voice yelled just before he slammed his head against the tree

That was enough to make the voice shut up, so Blake took some deep breaths trying to calm himself down

"That's not… true" Blake said as he sat, leaning against the tree "It can't be… I'm my father's only son… his only heir… he would never send me away just like that"

Suddenly, Blake heard something between some bushes, it was Thunder who was looking for him

"Thunder?" Blake said

When Thunder saw his rider, he ran towards him and noticed that he was hurt

"I'm fine… it's not a big deal, I've been through worse" Blake said but Thunder didn't look convinced, so he bowed down, telling Blake to ride him in order to take him with a healer

"No, I'm… too tired" Blake said, so Thunder laid down next to him and placed his head on his lap

Blake didn't know why he began to gently pet Thunder's head but it felt natural, so he kept doing it, something that the dragon seemed to enjoy since he began to purr. Both of them quickly fell asleep

They woke up an hour later, Blake was feeling better, so he stood up, waking up Thunder in the process

"I needed that" Blake said before looking at Thunder "Should I… I don't think it's a good idea"

Thunder looked confused, so he grunted to get Blake's attention

"Thunder, where Hiccup could be? I… need his help with something" Blake said, so Thunder nodded as an answer, and bowed down to let Blake ride him "Uh, I'd rather to walk if you don't mind"

Thunder understood his decision, his rider was still getting used to riding a dragon after all, so they walked to the village

Meanwhile with Hiccup, he was in his house, thinking in a way to help Blake remember. He was starting to run out of ideas, even though some of the worked like recreating the moment when he bonded with Thunder, some of them had the risk of making things worse

Suddenly, he heard some how someone was knocking the door, so he opened it and realized it was Blake

"Blake, it's you… uh… how are you since…" Hiccup hesitated

"Listen, I don't want to talk about that. I just need your help with something" Blake said "I want to learn how to ride Thunder, and I was hoping that you could teach me"

"Are you sure? You just bonded with Thunder" Hiccup said

"Get to the point, are you going to help me or not?" Blake asked

"Alright, I'll help you, but we should probably go to the academy first" Hiccup said

Blake nodded before they began to walk there with their dragons

"Hey, I hope you don't mind me for asking but… why didn't you scared of Thunder when you first saw him as you were with Toothless?" Hiccup asked

"Well, since my father told me about their kind I've had some respect for them, they are really powerful dragons capable of defeating almost anyone" Blake said

When Thunder heard those words, he couldn't help but to look proud

"When I was eight, my father still didn't let me fight dragons, so my dream was to find one and kill it myself" Blake said "Of course, that dream ended when I found out they're really rare dragons"

"And why you didn't attack Thunder? you had your spear then" Hiccup said

"Something stopped me… it was like a feeling inside my gut that told me I shouldn't" Blake said "And… I'm happy I didn't attack him"

Minutes later, they arrived at the academy ready to start

"Okay, you've ridden Thunder just once, right?" Hiccup asked

"Yeah, but I told him not to go too fast or something like that" Blake said

"Well, it all starts in how do you get on his back" Hiccup said

Blake nodded and looked at Thunder "Uh… do you mind?" he asked, so Thunder bowed down

"Wait, try to ride him without making him bow down" Hiccup said

Blake didn't look so sure, it was easier for him to ride Thunder if he bowed down but he agreed to give it a try

He walked towards Thunder and tried to get on his back, it took him a few attempts but he managed to do it

"Great, now tell him to start flying, if you want you can use a hand signal, like this" Hiccup said before squeezing his hand into a fist, so Toothless got ready to pounce

Blake thought for a moment, he wasn't sure of which hand signal he could use to tell Thunder to fly, so he just pointed up

Luckily, Thunder understood and began to fly not too far away from the ground, Blake quickly grabbed to the saddle, thanks to the sudden move

"Next time at least give me a warning" Blake said looking at Thunder

"Actually, you should've expected it, you told him to fly after all" Hiccup said

"You're right" Blake said a bit annoyed

"You can tell him to land, try to use another hand signal" Hiccup said

Blake nodded and pointed down, telling Thunder to land. This time he wasn't taken off guard, so when Thunder landed, he was calmed

"Huh, you're really a quick learner" Hiccup said

"I told you" Blake said

"Let's try something else" Hiccup said as he got on Toothless' back "Follow us around the academy"

Toothless flew off and began to fly around the academy, so Thunder did the same, Blake was a bit nervous but he began to enjoy it

They continued to train for a while, Hiccup and Toothless did the example and Blake and Thunder tried to do it. Of course, it wasn't all perfect and sometimes Thunder didn't understand what Blake wanted him to do, so he did the wrong thing

Later that day, they were outside of the academy for Blake's test, it was already evening and the sun was staring to set

"You've done pretty good, so in order for us to finish you have to fly around the island, it doesn't matter how fast you do it" Hiccup said

"I'm ready, how about you Thunder?" Blake asked, so Thunder roared in excitement

Blake got on his dragon's back and got ready to fly around the island. However, Thunder seemed to have other plans

Suddenly, Thunder flew off as fast as he could, Blake didn't see that coming, so he grabbed on to the saddle trying not to fall

"Thunder, what are you doing?!" Blake asked

Thunder tried to fly his way but Blake wasn't letting him, they struggled like that for a few minutes until Thunder lost control over his flight and crashed once again at the forest

Thunder quickly got up and went to help his rider but he pushed him back

"Stay away from me you overgrown lizard!" Blake said angrily

"Blake, are you okay?" Hiccup said as he and Toothless landed, they saw everything from the ground and went to help

"I'm not, thanks to him" Blake said glaring at Thunder who looked really sad

"Um… Blake… your arm" Hiccup said as Blake got up, allowing him to see his arm, thanks to the crash, it was dislocated

"Great, just what I needed" Blake said sarcastically

"We should take you with Gothi, she's the best healer we got" Hiccup said

"You depend on a healer to take care of all of your wounds? Pathetic" Blake said "I can take care of this myself"

He walked towards the nearest tree and slammed his arm on it, making it go back it place with a loud cracking noise

"That's better" Blake sighed in relief "Well, if excuse me I'm going to go, I've got enough of dragons for today"

He walked away into the forest trying to return to the cave, Thunder was about to follow him but he stayed on his place and looked down sadly

Later that night, Blake arrived at the cave, still feeling mad for what happened

"Maybe trusting that dragon was a mistake after all" Blake said as he sat, but he also heard a sad growl

It was Thunder who also entered the cave, he still looked sad but he also brought Blake some fish as an apology

"I'm really mad at you, I don't even want to see you" Blake said as he looked away

Thunder walked towards him and began to nudge him to get his attention but he pushed him away

"Just go away, don't you understand?" Blake asked but Thunder was still nudging him "You're too loyal to me, aren't you?"

Then, Tunder stopped and laid down next to Blake, so he began to pet his head

"Fine, if that's what you want to hear, I forgive you" Blake said making Thunder smile "But that doesn't change the fact that I'm still mad, and I'm starting to doubt if I should trust you"

The next day, Blake and Thunder woke up, the sun had already rose Blake stood up but his shoulder hurt

"Ugh, I should've seen it coming" Blake said in pain as he exited the cave "Huh, I was more tired than I thought"

Then, he heard a snapping noise, making him alert

"Who's there?!" Blake asked as Thunder growled, at the fact that Snotlout and Hookfang showed up didn't help

"Calm down, it's me" Snotlout said

"Uh… you're Snotlout, aren't you?" Blake asked

"The one and only" Snotlout said proudly, so Thunder growled more

"Thunder, no!" Blake scolded, so Thunder calmed down "What do you want? I'm not in the mood to deal with any of you"

"I was told you're having some troubles with your dragon, so I'm here to help you out" Snotlout said, so Hookfang growled at him "Fine, we're here to help you out"

"Hiccup told you that, didn't he?" Blake groaned annoyed "He might be the chief's son but he's really annoying"

"I totally agree with you pal, if I told you how many times has Hiccup annoyed me, I'd end tomorrow" Snotlout said, as he placed his arm around Blake's shoulders

"And how are you supposed to help me? You probably already know I'm mad with my dragon, it's not like you can control how I feel" Blake said as he pushed Snotlout's arm away

"I got my ways" Snotlout said "Which can be a bit dangerous"

"Okay, you got my attention" Blake said as he and Snotlout walked away

Not too far away, Hiccup and Astrid were looking

"Hiccup, are you sure this is a good idea?" Astrid asked

"Not really but it's the only thing I got" Hiccup said "Snotlout and Hookfang constantly get mad at each other, so I hope they might be able to help Blake and Thunder"

"Well, I hope you're right" Astrid said

"So… what's your plan?" Blake asked as they arrived at a clearing

"Easy, just survive until your dragon helps you" Snotlout said

"What?" Blake asked just before Hookfang shot him a fire blast, so he jumped out of the way

Hookfang was about to shot him another fire blast but Thunder placed himself between them and protected his rider from the fire and shot a lightning blast

"Let's see what you got" Snotlout said as he got on Hookfang's neck

They flew up and dived down as Hookfang shot another fire blast that Blake had to dodge

Then, Thunder gestured at Blake, telling him to get on his back, he was a bit hesitant but he knew he didn't have a choice, so he did it

Thunder flew up and caught up with Hookfang and shot him a lightning blast but he dodged it

They continued to attack each other for a while until both dragons reached their shot limit, so they landed

"Okay, that was good, I really needed that" Blake said

"I told you I was going to help you" Snotlout said but Hookfang growled at him again "Fine, I told you we were going to help you"

"I'm kind of curious, how did you know what to do?" Blake asked

"There are times when Hookfang and I get mad and nothing helps us more than smashing things" Snotlout said

"Huh, back home every time I was mad or frustrated, my father let me a hammer to smash dummies with the aspect of Berk's Vikings" Blake said

"Funny you mention it, now that Alvin is an ally, he would make you do something different" Snotlout said

"What did you say?" Blake asked

"Alvin is an ally of Berk now, you didn't know?" Snotlout asked

Blake was taken off guard, so he just gave a step backwards "I… I have to go" he said as he quickly walked away

"See ya!" Snotlout said

"Well, that went better than I expected" a voice behind Snotlout said, it was Astrid "Great job, Snotlout"

"I don't know about you guys, but I like more this version on Blake" Snotlout said "Wait, how do you know what happen?"

"We saw everything… just in case things got out of hand" Hiccup said

"Anyway, I'm sure that it will bring him back some memories" Snotlout said

Meanwhile with Blake, he and Thunder returned to the cave to get some rest

Thunder was more tired, so he fell asleep while his rider sat next to him

"My father… is not an ally of Berk!" Blake almost yelled but he contained himself to not wake up Thunder "All of those years of training… were for nothing?"

Blake was really mad, he felt like all of his life was a waste, everything that he believed and trained for meant nothing

"Should I get back home… I need to know if that's the truth" Blake said

Then, an evil smile appeared on his face

"Or maybe… I should do what he couldn't… taking over Berk" Blake said "It shouldn't be too hard, they seem to trust me, so they'll never see it coming"
