finally, we're now back at peace and safety. This is a fun story to write that is also serious too. It's similar to being careful what you wish for without the wish part but anyway we are now a chapter 5 finally it's been a while since I've been working on this story and I've been working on others and I have others to work on afterwards, but I hope you enjoy this one.

everyone goes to Volder for the Valdor and Age trials and for the party don't worry none of anyone is gonna be in the trials not like in the game. I'll give you that heads up right now and this will be Zoe Riley and Annelise's return back to Volder since they left OK then is Scarlet too.

also, there are no sea salt or chocolate cupcakes we don't need them OK then?

and since Zoe is being raised by Helena and Julius, she will not be in the vulgarian section. Her mother will not be able to tell her to come back OK then.

let's go ahead and get going.

Scarlett

we were all nervous. We were headed back to Valdor. We hadn't been there in well at least a few years. Not since we got Riley and Annalee and Zoe so it's been a while since we've been there.

The king wanted us to come. I don't know why we didn't need to come. I didn't need to go, but since I'm in charge and protecting the Timecrest, I have to come. I can't let Helena and Julius just watch him. He charges more than even though there are his parents Luther in my arms so small and vulnerable he is he's such a little thing.

we all boarded the train. It was time to go. Mom was carrying the baby. That was fine. I wondered too. I'll take care of him too. I promised her that.

And it was a nice train ride to the Palace that was fine too. We had to travel by train to get there which was fun. I guess we took the train before but this is the first time we took it in a while is the babies first time it's Luther's first time, but he won't remember it right now so young he won't remember a thing.

Janice wants to see the baby they don't sound good to me but what else can we do? Let's just hope he doesn't harm the child. We've known him to hurt babies eventually at times but he said he won't harm Luther hopefully and we can't under the cupboard as read is our last name for the time being it was a lot easier than being called Timecrest. It won't expect us at all that way.

we arrived and stepped out of the train. We were an odd little family, me, Vivaldo, and princesses Ash Luther Helena Julius all of us what a site we were. A family of humans and a family of naturals mixed. No one had seen that before we had to explain that we were adopted into a lot of the non-Dorian guests. Dr. Folger also came and talked to us. It's good to see all of you he said good to see you Miss Scarlet I knotted, he said Annelise Zoe he said ruffling Zoe's hair Zoe giggled. She loved the big man sometimes and he didn't do well with her as well because she was too cute. I wouldn't hurt little children he says, and all of you were mostly little children except for Miss Scarlet who's almost a grown-up woman now how are things ma'am, I said everything is OK? It's just weird. The Timecrest was born later. Yes, that is odd. He says but that'll be OK. I hope you take care of yourself ma'am I will. I said thank you Dr. Folger see you Dr. My mother said nice to see you too, Julius, he said, I can't believe your little family has grown three and then we had one. Yes, I can see that your building is big enough for all of us. Thank you.

And I hope y'all are keeping yourselves well oh we are we haven't caught the disease good I wouldn't want you and your young family to have the disease. It would be terrible for you all of you, especially with a young one he says patting the baby on the head Uther smiles at the crazy man I must go and get my food he says will you sit with us Dr. Folger of course man he says I know all of you very well to be better to sit with you than sitting alone he says, I haven't talked to you in years or a while even though I see you most of the time.

that's settled. We will all sit together and we'll sit together at the trials as well. He says yes yes of course that would be great too. He says are all the masters here. Yes, I don't know where they are right now but they are they don't sit in the non-Voran section they sit where the master said they want it from up there on the second level of course below the royal family, and the Vald Dorian section they get a whole platform to themselves. If it was up to me I think that the master should be higher than the Volans well they are a higher level class than them.

any luck I'm getting everyone out of the zones yet Julius not yet Julie said Dr. Folger not yet it's not easy. I'm worried we might be stuck in there forever. That's what I'm worried about too. Especially if you have young children at your party, he says we do have a lot of young children with us, as Julius looks around at the family, who is the oldest Ash and the Vald Dorian sisters and Luther.

Annelise

we listened to what Dr. Folger was talking about, but it was hard to pay attention to everything around us, but it was fine. I struck up a conversation with Riley and Zoe next to me and Scarlet too even though she was mostly talking to Dr. Boger and Luther was passed between, her and her mother which was OK. I want to see the baby too. I got enough time to play with him as well and so did Riley also sat there and looked at us well that was good I guess.

The food was all right, I guess and the conversation was weird, but also good and cheerful. We talked about getting out and other things too. One day we will get out of these quarantine zones don't know when but it will happen sooner than we think. Now that the savior has been born, the person who demolishes these zones forever.

but the child has to grow up first of course he does. That'll be good. Everyone was chatting. We had a great time.

After we ate, it was time to watch the participants. We watched from a distance because we didn't want to see everyone, especially Scarlet. want to see her brother march out we didn't come to cheer on Soul or any of the participants it's just a normal year here at the Valdora Palace for the trials.

afterward, we went to take our seats. Folger came and sat with us.

Riley

I don't know why we have to be here and wash these stupid trials, but we have to just support our fellow non-Valarian I guess, and keep them safe Julius says the father is the ambassador so we have to do what he says. I guess we continued to chatter until it was time for the show to begin. but everyone started talking around during the private session that the Valdora had disappeared for and then we all took our seats. The lights came on, illuminating the atmosphere with light. We didn't have much light, but we had a few light mages who did their best to keep things lit for us.

we set in our little group group hunch together in a small group setting and non-follow or section. The baby was fussy not because he had someone in the trials but because he was he didn't like the idea of this. I know I said, and Scarlet said, call me down baby in our arms, he smiled at us. We're not down there. At least Riley said I said and so did so. Scarlet and Annalise be happy that your brother isn't down there either Luther smiled knowing that his whole family was here. We passed him around a bit.

we watched it was an awful time when people died. It was gruesome. We had to watch it. It was mandatory.

Zoe

it was gruesome. I didn't like it awful trials. I didn't wanna watch, but we had to watch and it was worse sitting on this side of it. I never really experienced it from the non-Dorian section from the Vald Dorian section until I was a baby and I don't remember it much then that was good I guess.

Ash

I agreed with the others this was gruesome even for me. I wouldn't wanna watch this, but we had no choice.

What other choices did we have? Did we have any? I started to agree with the girls. Something had to be done, but I couldn't do anything. Luckily, our savior was born. Not too long ago. It's all on my brother. Now he has to save us and Scarlet too. I know what we have to do now.

Scarlett

once it was over, finally, the stupid trials were over. We could go home soon, but not yet King

Janice wanted to see us well I guess that was OK.

he came over to check on us as we were getting ready to leave when it was over after they crowned so my brother the winner killed everyone wow that Amelia girl almost won her and that Tristan guy then killed them. That's my brother I guess now he was crowned the winner and became the new in the army that is not good news at all not at all for any of us.

and like I said Janice came over. He came and spoke to us well, you brought the baby with you. I can tell he's strong. He'll have great potential for me. What do you mean? I heard Mother telling us to say he said I can tell he has a strong aura and he can solidify light. That means he could solidify. I am probably. I need him to when he gets older. I bricks for me, also we need aura containers, especially light so if you can figure out how to do that when he gets older, that would be great too. You want to use our son Miss he has magical potential and I can tell he's the Timecrest well your time is his Timecrest will be over soon Miss Scarlet yes until I train him I said then it'll be his turn. Well then I guess you better enjoy it while you can. It won't be for another several years until he is ready to activate the watch well then I hope you get him. He's only a baby. He won't be able to do much right now. he can barely climb onto us right now we have several years to get him trained. I said so you don't need to worry, Janice if you can prove his worth for me as he ages and does things for me when he gets old enough I will set all of you free if you can meet my quotes and things I need him for and then I'll let all of you free not all the humans but I will let your family and friends go really yes you have your freedom. Not the other humans. Anyone that works with you or anything can be free weed all right then you have to prove you need to prove your word to me all of you, especially the time when he gets to age.

don't worry, Janice we will do what you want good I mean you are the ambassador family he said and with that, he walked away. Well, that was unpleasant. Miss Helena. I think it's about time for us to start leaving.

but then so came up to us floating his win in front of our face well sister I haven't seen you in a long time he touched. He touched me. Luther started crying. I was holding the baby at this point. I didn't know you had a thing for little ones he said trying to touch young baby Luther don't I said don't touch him. Why not he says slightly took you away from me and now I will be at a high station where I can demand you back in my life. I said I will never be your soul. I won these trials. I want you you won't have me. I said never you think a baby and a child will be able to take care of you, you think you'll fall in love with the child is young. That's so young. You never know he'll be an adult. Eventually, you think you'll fall in love with him. You think you'll keep you safe. You weren't threatened by wasn't a threat said and neither of the Volans in your family I can't believe your parents took in Volan children, both Annelise and Riley said at the same time yeah said Riley yeah said Zoe, you are so young but still I can't believe this. I can see him taking you in Scarlet and having their own taking him low vans. It was charity. I heard my mother mother, Miss Helena say, what we do with our lives is none of your business. It will surpass everyone and become king you think you'll become king he said and when I do, Alisha will be mine mine and Scarlet will be mine as he said Luther started to cry. well, I guess the poor child is crying. maybe he's hungry no, I heard Miss say I just fed him.

maybe send Riley he's crying because he doesn't like your presence and that you're fretting Scarlet yeah said Annelise so why don't you leave us alone? That's not how you be speaking to your new fellow guardsmen soon he says I'm not even into this quarantine zone once I get higher then well here in the army I might come and join this when that happens your lives will change all of yours. Your lives will be mine. Helena said oh yes soul said your lies will change and do the peace and safety that you endure will end soon and I will have Scarlet no Riley Annalise and Zoe all said it once even Ashli defended me he wouldn't ask said If my brother does fall in love with her even though she's older it would be fine. You didn't have to ask said no one asked me. Scarlet is like a sister to me even though I didn't agree with everything she did I won't let you touch her until my brother gets older, I will protect her right you'll protect her. They'll make me laugh. You have no magic child so he says you would do that for me. I said if you're gonna become my brother love, I need to keep you safe. he says no more of this I don't like it because of girls' things he says then I'd like to see you try try and get magic I will I'll try and Riley will teach me physical fighting. I will spar. I will get stronger. I will protect my family until my brother is old enough.

even though I want to become an artist and a chef, he said I still would want to keep my family safe. I'm not stupid and now that you wanna become charged I have to step up a bit. My family cheered at ashes words.

I love my family Ash said so I'm not gonna let you ruin that even if you do take control, I will help with my family's protection. I might not be the Timecrest, but that doesn't mean I'm not a weekly.

I'll secure our futures I'll secure our peace and safety even if I become an artist and a chef I secure everything and everyone Ash said I smiled at Ash hug him close thanks for anything he said I might've been a ditz and I might've been acting spoiled when I was young, but now I'm ready to step up.

we'll see so said as he left and we left. I did not like being there my brother don't worry Ash will be good on his promise said Riley yeah and yeah so he said I meant what I said Scarlet Ash said good and Helena let us go home. .

it's past most of your all's bedtimes so let's go it's time to read Zoe a bedtime story yay bedtime story said Zoe, which one do you want Riley asked you read me a story Riley, of course.

Riley

we went home we took the train back. It was nighttime. It was dark, and it was time to read Zoe a bedtime story. First I had to touch the little munchkin in tucked-in Ash. Luther tucked himself in Annalise was in her room that we shared Zoe had her room, waiting for me. My sister will wait and then Scarlet went off to her bedroom. She was tired. She went to bed. I couldn't blame her.

as I tucked Zoe in, I asked her again. What time do you want me to read you tonight?

Zoe

Riley asked me which one I wanted. I picked it out and she read to me not that she read. She taught me after she taught me and she read me a story one day I'll teach you how to read she said as hell Helena Mommy she will teach you to read, I'm surprised. She hadn't taught me yet. I guess she hadn't taught her Zoe completely had to read on her own and if she did she still liked me reading to her why don't you try reading one of the ones why don't you read to me, Zoe was older? She was still only five. I'll read to you, Zoe will teach you to read next year. How's that OK? I said good so let's get some rest after Zoe to me and I read her. I thought she put me to put me to bed after I read her.

then I heard Riley say good night, baby. I said good night Riley.

Riley

after I put Zoe to bed and read to her and all that I went to my bed and went to sleep, I was tired. We were all tired.
