María-Carina Iñiguez POV
"So, Miss Iñiguez is it? I see that you you have applied for a position as the Fine Arts Administrator?" The Principal, Mr. Figgins, asked looking over my resume. I smile and said, "Yes, I was lucky enough to see the opening after I returned from visiting my cousin in Columbia." He smiled in return and said, "I understand completely." Then he said looking over my resume once more with a serious expression, " Your resume is very interesting. I can't give you that position though, it's already been filled... But you could become co-director of the Glee club." I looked at him in disbelief. "What's the catch?" I asked him seriously. "Well you see, I think one of our teachers, Sue Sylvester, is trying to cause trouble there. It's very stressful. So, I need you to be my eyes and ears and see if any friction between Sue and the director Glee club, Mr. Schuester. I'll pay you of course; that is if you accept." He explained. I paused for a moment. 'Mr. SCHUESTER? It couldn't be.' I thought. "I accept your offer." I said. He smiled and said, "Wonderful, you start tomorrow."
The next day I started heading to the Repetition Room, where the Glee kids were supposed to be and that's when I saw him. "Will?" I called out catching up to him before he entered. "Um, hi. Who are you?" Will asked me. Right, he wouldn't remember me. "I'm María-Carina your best friend? We went to school here together." I explained, punching his arm. His eyes lit up. "MC, ¿Qué estás haciendo aquí?" He said in Spanish to me hugging me excitedly. I blushed slightly and said, "¡Déjame en paz, William! ¡Esto no es la secundaria! El director Figgins me nombró su co-director." He gave me a noogie, finally getting off me and said in English, "Then let's go teach some kids." He walked inside the classroom joyfully, and I followed him. "Okay, guys, this is María-Carina Iñigo my new co-director." The kids groaned and William quickly said, "Guys, guys, she's cool; she was my best friend in highschool and in back when I was in Glee." I smiled giving the children a wave and he continued. "We're a little behind for sectionals... thanks to our Sue Sylvester detour. You guys seem to really enjoy doing mash-ups, right?" They all sit down but don't respond to William's question. "And I'm gonna keep you guys fired up. Plus, there's an important lesson to be learned with mash-ups. Sometimes things are so different, they don't feel like they go together." He said, " But the big difference between them is what makes them great. Like... chocolate and bacon." I made a gagging face making the kids laugh and Will roll his eyes. "Or Glee Club and football." One of the kids suggested. "Exactly. But you've proven that it is a great combination. So..." He says smiling and distributing sheet music, ", Here is... my personal favorite song. And your homework for the week is to find an unexpected mash-up to go with it." I glanced at one of the children's music sheets and I laughed; he hadn't changed. "What's so funny MC." Will asked me, mischief in his eyes. "Oh nothing. Just admiring your song choice." I said. "And you think you can do better?" He asked me, more amused than annoyed. "I think that WE can do better Will. In fact we HAVE done better; remember?" I say with a sly smile. He smiled back and said, "You're right; however I don't have the sheet music so we'll have to get by with the song I chose." Then I pulled out the sheet music I had chosen by myself for the Glee kids and handed it out; it wasn't the song we had been exactly talking about, but still I thought Will and I would kill it. I said, "Boys on percussion, get ready to get Promiscuous!" I unbuttoned my shirt, revealing the crop-top underneath and asked Will, "Am I throwing you off?" Will smiled and said, "Nope." I smiled back and said, "Didn't think so." Then I snapped at the percussion and Will started to sing as he took off his over shirt revealing his gray T-shirt:
How you doing, young lady?
That feeling that you giving really drives me crazy
You're dope have a player 'bout to choke
I was at a loss of words first time that we spoke
I sang back to him, dancing:
You looking for a girl that'll treat you right
Have you looking for her in the daytime with the light
Will sang, dancing as well.
You might be the type if I play my cards right
I'll find out by the end of the night
Then I sang back eyeing him mischievously:
You expect me to just let you hit it
But will you still respect me if you get it?
Will then sang back with a smirk,
All I can do is try, gimme one chance
What's the problem? I don't see no ring on your hand
I'll be the first to admit it
I'm curious about you, you seem so innocent
Then I sang,
You wanna get in my world, get lost in it
Boy, I'm tired of running, let's walk for a minute
I beckoned to the kids as Will begins dance and sing:
Promiscuous girl, wherever you are
I'm all alone and it's you that I want
I sang next, noticing the kids beginning to dance:
Promiscuous boy, you already know
That I'm all yours, what you waiting for?
Will sang next, noticing as well.
Promiscuous girl, you're teasing me
You know what I want, and I got what you need
I start walking around the kids as I sang.
Promiscuous boy, let's get to the point
'Cause we're on a roll, you ready?
Roses are red, some diamonds are blue
Chivalry is dead, but you're still kinda cute
Will began walking around the kids, singing too.
Hey, I can't keep my mind off you
Where you at? Do you mind if I come through?
I sang dancing with the kids:
I'm out of this world come with me to my planet
Get you on my level, do you think that you can handle it?
Will began to dance with the kids too, singing:
They call me Thomas, last name Crown
Recognize game, I'ma lay mine's down
Then I sang.
I'm a big girl I can handle myself
But if I get lonely I might need your help
Pay attention to me, I don't talk for my health
Will sang to me.
I want you on my team
I crossed my arms and sang.
So does everybody else
Then together with the boys Will sang,
Promiscuous girl, wherever you are
I'm all alone and it's you that I want
Me and the girls sang in response,
Promiscuous boy, you already know
That I'm all yours, what you waiting for?
Next the boys and William sang,
Promiscuous girl, you're teasing me
You know what I want, and I got what you need
The girls and I finally finished the song, singing,
Promiscuous boy, we're one in the same
So we don't gotta play games no more
Will smiled at me and then said, "Good song choice MC. Now, I want you kids to find an unexpected song choice to mash-up with that song." Then I remembered that I didn't know anyone here, so I said in Spanish, "William, ¿podrías decirme los nombres de todos los estudiantes? Me siento un poco fuera de lugar." Seemingly surprised, Will replied, "Uh, sure. I'll tell you in my classroom later." The kids looked at each other curiously, probably wondering what had I said, but I didn't mind; that was how it always had been for me and William.

In his Spanish classroom, William was going over the school yearbook with me, pointing out our Glee students. Both our over shirts were back on. "Oh, I see; thank you Will, I appreciate this." I said with a smile. "Your welcome MC." He said. " I've got to go, it's getting late; my cat Dina is waiting for me. Tell Terri I said hi."

The next morning I arrived at the same time as William and he was wearing the same sunglasses as me. "Nice sunglasses William." I said in Spanish punching him playfully. "You too MC." He said giving me a wink. We were about to pass the guidance counselor's office when Will stopped and waved at the guidance counselor, dancing. I rolled my eyes and left him there; soon after he caught back up to me. "Entonces, ¿estás saliendo con el consejero académico William? ¿Pensé que eras un hombre casado?" I asked him teasingly in Spanish, taking off my sunglasses. "No estoy saliendo con Emma; ella es una amiga. Se va a casar y necesita lecciones de baile. Eso es todo." Will said back defensively, taking off his sunglasses too. Quickly I grabbed my friend's arm. "Will, look at me; I was joking." I said speaking English. He looked at me and breathed a sigh before he said taking my hand, "I know."

We entered the room while students were distracted and happy.
"So... any ideas for the mash-up?" Will asked. All of the students calmed down and remain silent. "Anybody?" Will asked. "No." They all answered separately. I smirked and said, "I've got sheet music and I'm not afraid to use it!" The class made noises of protest. However a boy, Puckerman I think, said, "I've been working on something." I raised one of my eyebrows intrigued, whilst Will asked, "Oh, yeah?" The boy, Noah Puckerman, picked up an acoustic guitar and said, "It's my personal tribute to a musical Jewish icon." Will and I saw him looking at one of the girls, Rachel Berry I believe, when he said this. I smiled; how cute. "Uh, fantastic. Let's hear it." Will seemingly confused simply said. We settled in the stands with the students while Puckerman began to sing Sweet Caroline.
I was pleasantly surprised by his talent; clearly he could pull his own weight in this team. I applauded with everyone else when he was done.
"Puckerman! ...Yeah!"

So, the next day, me and William had a talk. Apparently the football coach, Ken Tanaka, was supposed to be marrying the counselor, Emma Pillsbury; the Emma who Will had said he was just friends with. However, the football coach was jealous of Will; he told him she was 'just setting for him'. So he was making the kids choose between Football and Glee. "I'm sorry William." I said when he told me what was going on with him; what I didn't say was that I wasn't entirely on his side this time. I couldn't hurt my best friend like that. "Thanks MC. I missed you." He said. I smiled. "Would you like to sing our song?" I asked him. He smiled back and said sadly, "Maybe later."

The next afternoon everyone was together again in the Glee club. The one student who had temporarily left, Finn Hudson, was back and he had gotten us all Slushies. "So, what do you think about my welcome back gift to the club, huh, guys?" The boy asked the Glee club. "Thanks for the Slushees, Finn." Will said. "They're delicious." Rachel said. "And loaded with empty calories. You know why they call them Slushees? Because your butt looks like one if you have too many of them." Kurt Hummel said. "I'd like to propose a toast. To Mr. Schue. You were right about Glee Club and football bein' a killer combination." Finn said. I smiled as we all toasted to Will. "Mr. Schue, Miss Iñiguez, I am sorry to report... that we've all been remiss about completing our assignment this week." Artie Abrams, the handicapped boy said. "Yeah, none of us could find a good groove for 'Promiscuous.' " Mercedes Jones said. Everyone laughed. "And I personally feel like a failure." Artie suddenly said. "Well, that's okay, guys. Because I feel like the lesson landed. And that's what's important. And we are glad to have you back, Finn." Will said, saluting.
Meanwhile, Quinn Fabray, the ex-head cheerleader of our club is looking like someone just died. Apparently she got kicked off the squad because she's pregnant. I nudge Will and he asks her, "You okay, Quinn?" The blonde looks frustrated. "Do I look okay? I'm devastated. Now that I'm off the Cheerios, I'll start every day with a Slushee facial." She whines. Will and I smiled at her softly. "That's okay if that happens, Quinn, because there are eleven of your friends right here... who are gonna be more than happy to help clean you off." Will said. "Yeah. Whoo!" The kids hoot and holler. "That's right, girl." Mercedes said. Suddenly, Will grabs his forehead and I asked worriedly in Spanish, "¿Will? ¿Qué ocurre?" He smiles at me painfully and says, "Mmm, don't worry MC, just brain freeze. I can't imagine gettin' hit in the kisser with one of these." I laughed at him but then Artie asked us, " Neither of you have been hit by a Slushee before?" That's when I realized that the kids were closing in on me and Will. "Um...All right, guys." Will said. They're not listening. "We're a team." Will says. I took his hand in fear. "Bring it on. Give us your best shot." He 'bravely' said whilst I stood there frozen in fear. Will had closed his eyes and readied himself for the torture, but I...
"One, Two-," Rachel counted. Just before she said three, I grabbed onto Will and buried my face in his chest out of fear. "Three!" Rachel said before Will's face and my back got Slushee'd. I opened my eyes and wiped off Will's face so he could see, one arm still holding him for warmth. "Oh. All right. From the top." He said.
All the kids cheered... but I was freezing!
