Chapter 1: A Storm at Sea
Our mysterious hero (who is unnamed), is attempting to cling onto Grovyle for as long as she can.
Whoa! Wh-Wh-whoa…!
Grovyle: Are… Are you okay?!
Suddenly, a lightning bolt strikes them both while heading through the rough storm.
Grovyle: No! Don't let go! Just a little longer… Come on! Hang on!
The lightning bolt strikes the girl as well, causing her to lose grip of Grovyle.
N-n-no! I can't… hold on…!
As the wave rushed towards both Grovyle and the girl, she becomes separated from Grovyle, turning her into an Eevee in the process.
The human turned into Eevee washes ashore on the beach of Treasure Town, falling unconscious as their vision closes.
Devin the Treecko struggles to find the courage to make it through the gate.
As the Zubat and Koffing attempts to follow them (and steal the Relic Fragment as well), he makes a friendship that would never break.
