Prologue

I sat in the middle of the woods tears blurred my vision I often sat alone in the woods after the other kids in daycare were mean to me it was every day I couldn't take it anymore i don't know how long I sat in the woods , but I didn't care I don't know why they were always being mean to me after rubbing my eyes I could see something shining in the light I crawled over to it , it was partly buried but after a little digging I held it up it was a sharp object with a wood handle it was like what mom would always use to cut berries she called it a knife and told me to never go near it as I could hurt myself . I looked at the sharp part with my reflection staring back at me it looked very very sharp I ran my flipper over the sharp part OW I thought to myself with a grimace on my face , very sharp indeed I took hold of the handle with both my flippers and I stood up would anyone miss me if I did it would mom or dad ev- " HI " my train of thought was interrupted by somemon talking to me .

I looked around there a saw a mon I hadn't know noticed before I got there or even seen around the town I quickly hide the knife behind my back " H-hi who a-are you " the new mon was a Bipedal black and blue dog-like mon it legs and torso were colored black while its head lower body and tail were blue it had large rounded bumps on the backs of its forepaws had a black mask with two black appendages on either side and red eyes. I shuddered who was this were they going to hurt me or worst tell som-" Hello, are you ok? " I blinked out of my confusion " W-What " I stammered " are you ok do you need help? " they asked were they hoping to make fun of me or something " N-NO NOW GO AWAY " I yelled hoping this new mon would just leave me alone, he put his paw to his chin and tilted his head like he was thinking about something " Nope you look like you had been crying so why would I leave " what he said surprised me. I gasp what I thought to myself " Look whoever you are I just what to be left alone is that to much to ask for , I like the sound of the woods and sometime I get lost in nature so I get emotional sometimes ok ," I lied to both him and me I hated these woods but they were my only safe place he responds by not only getting closer but sitting down next to me " Your right the woods are quiet nice " he says while stretching both paws out behind him and stretching his legs out " Come on sit down it feels nice " he says with a smile , I still have the knife behind my back I don't what to but I have to I hold the knife in front of me " if you d-don't leave me alone , I will hurt you " I really didn't but he wouldn't leave me alone I could run but what if he tells the others I couldn't risk it " the breeze is nice and cool " , WAS THIS KID INSANE OR SOMETHING yelled in my head . I threated him and he just ignores it either he is insane or not right in the head." why wont you leave me alone huh " he just sits there feeling the breeze I guess as he ignores me. Know what forget it I start to walk away but then the wind hits me , It does feel nice maybe if I - I shake that thought from my head , but if he is not right in the head I would feel more guilty if something did happened to him I sigh " fine lets feel this amazing breeze " I sarcastically say as I move next to him I put the knife to my left as I sit curled into myself .

We sat in silence it was very awkward I threated him and he invites me to sit with him this kid is weird, I think " hey so where did you come from? " I question " you quite literally popped out of nowhere did you follow me or somthing " " I don't know I just sort of happened " I look at him like he had two of every limb how do you just happen, no he's just dodging the question I need to know if he is with those bully's " so if you just happened then how did you find me " I say sarcastically " oh I didn't find you I just poped up behind you " he says this with a smile , Like this was the most normal thing " huh what do you mean , who even are you I - " I don't even know how to finish my sentence this makes no sense he just happened he just poped up behind me this has to be a joke by them , I'm lost in thought when he ask's " why are you so sad " I look at him shocked why does he care I chuckle to myself might as well play along " because i'm being bullied by the other kids in the daycare they call me names and I get pushed to the ground and -nd " I start to tear a little " they hit me and say that im a freak and don't belong here and they say my parents hate me , and I think that what they say is true as dad never comforts me or hugs me when I come home crying and ", I can't finish my sentence as I just let my tear's fall " I hate my life I just w-," I expected to him to laugh or chuckle at me or anything other than this as i'm crying he hugs me . As tears start streaming down my face " it's ok i'm here to help as much as I can even if it just to be a shoulder to cry on " he pulls away a little and smiles , I start to feel a warm feeling in my chest I quickly shake it away " your lying to me you just what to see m- " he puts a paw to my beak " wha- " tag your it " he ran a little ways away " come on its tag you have to tag me back " I blink the few remaining tears in my eyes tag really why does he care and more to the point why "look weirdo I don't what to play tag or whatever game your getting at ok just please leave " I get up and start to walk away this has been the weirdest day of my life.

He grabs my flipper " LOOK I ALREADY S-"I turn around to yell at him but stop as he has his head down a little with tears in his eyes " please I have no one else to play with " , nice try but - his eyes start to well with tears I don't know what to say. This wasn't the same happy kid I saw earlier was it I quickly looked around to make sure but it was only him and me , he looked at me with pleading eyes he was almost on the verge of fulling on sobbing , I sigh and raise my flipper to his face and touch his nose with it , he looked up and got confused and let go of my flipper " fine " I huff I walk a bit away from him "but sense I was already it and I did just touch or should I say , I tagged ya " I start to run " HEY THATS NOT FAIR " he starts to run after me . the sun had started to go down when we stop we were both out of breath when we decided to stop for today " y-you h-h-have a lot energy huh ," I get out in between breaths ,he starts to laugh "t-t-t-that w-was the m-most fun I ever h-had " he sounded like he was about to pass out as he gasped for breath " calm down we still need to head home before our parents get mad " I say while trying to stand up. But he had a very infectious laugh as I realized that was the most fun I did have these last few months I can't stand between the exhaustion from playing and the earlier events of today we both crash to the ground, just two mons laughing while in the woods if anymon else saw this they probably think we were crazy or something but I didn't care if this was a dream or something I didn't what to wake up but soon the laughter subsided we were just two mon gasping for breath , the air was nice and crisp I closed my eyes to relax when he ask a question " are you feeling better ? " I looked at him surprised was this an attempt to make me feel better if so it definitely worked I smiled " yeah much , much better " I got out , He looked at me and smiled " good " we laid there for who knows how long I started to close my eyes when I jolt up , NO I - I have to go home I look at him he is staring at the sky I look up and marveled at the stars in the sky " wow " I say out loud I tilt my head down we don't even know each other's names but he showed me more care than anyone these last few months " Well it looks like we should head back huh" he says I look at him " we don't have to head back we could always um " I try to quickly think of something I wasn't about to let the one mon I enjoyed being around leave I know .I finally thought of something " we could form a rescue or explorers team we- " he got up looking sad " i'm sorry but I can't I have to go soon " he started to walk away I got up and ran to him and held his paw " please let go I had a lot of fun but all dreams have to end sometime " he said with a tone of sadness , " but we can have new dreams better ones even please don't go " I pleaded he shook his head " but - " I couldn't even finish that sentence , he gave a small smile " if I ever come back i'll make sure to look for ... I just realized I never ask for your name " he said " oh sorry my name is Libra the Piplup and what is yours if you don't mind me asking " he smiles " no I don't mind my name is -

? POV

I looked down at his phone at whatever video was playing it some dude play a game I never heard of I rolled I eyes and sighed this phone is giving me a headache it was a cheap phone with cracks already forming on it even though it was only used it for phones call and music but other than that it just stays on my dresser. I sighed and tapped on my playlist it was the end of September and the weather was starting to get colder , I was walking down the sidewalk heading to the crosswalk to get to my nighttime job a lot of people were out which was very unusual but I didn't care but as was to be expected some people were rude and bump into me I scoffed at them and of course my dumb phone switched video I sighed I need to get it replaced .

? POV

I looked though the legs of the people that were just standing there I was on the side of the crosswalk as I saw him a person wear a simple pair of black work pants and a white long-sleeved shirt, he was switching videos on his phone " LOOK OUT." But it was to late as the bus hit him , I collapse to my knees I know what happens next as the person that was hit was me before all this happen I look at my black paws " DAMMIT WHY " my vision starts to go white.

I had a spitting headache and it felt like i was laying on rubber or something very elastic I opened my eyes white ,white it was all white everywhere I looked where ,what I had so many questions in my head that I didn't even know where to start "HELLO ANYBODY THERE " I shouted as loud as I could but winced in pain bad idea to shout or do anything loud till this headache dies down , nothing replied back not even an echo of my voice I looked down and stumble backward in shock , I was laying on nothing but I still felt that weird elastic feel around my body I awkwardly got up stumbling a little and this white void was not helping my head I reached out my hands to see if i could feel anything else nope just that weird bubble feeling it felt like i was in a tunnel surrounded on all sides. Suddenly it felt like my head was spitting apart I put my hands on my head "AAAAHHHH" I flashed back to what happened before I got here I was going though a crosswalk and a light was rapidly approaching me and I hear the sounds of an engine and the sight of blood filling my eyes . Slowly my headache died down I slowly pulled my hands from my head so i'm dead huh and this is either heaven or hell funny " oh well time to go see where i'm going I guess " I slowly start to walk as i'm trying to get balance on this bubble or rubber tunnel ?

How long have been walking i'm still a little unsteady in this tunnel but I got a good grip or as much as I could my head was still a little numb from the pain but it was manageable enough I continued walking if this is purgatory then shouldn't I still be on Earth instead of here or was this it , great I don't even get a trial or anything of the like I continued down this bubble tunnel I don't even know how much time has passed or has time passed I guess I was getting somewhere as the walls went from a pure white to a gray color although I don't remember when they start to change so I going down huh i thought if I was going down then shouldn't he be here to drag me down or is this my hell just walking I sighed well here goes nothing , maybe I was forgotten about again ironic " HELLO IF I'M DEAD T-" the walls suddenly lit up to pure white it happened so fast that I didn't even have time to cover my eyes I was blinded , I use one of my arms to shield my eyes while using the other one to swat anything away that was until hit hit my hand on something it felt like I was hitting a rock my hand stung ' please relax " it spoke it sounded loud and commanding but also gentle and kind at the same time time " WHO'S THERE " I was still blinded so I couldn't see the owner of said voice " please forgive me for this but i have no other choice you were the closest thing , but let me help with your eye sight and form " form what was it talking about ? "please relax your eye sight has been re- , I have to go now " "wait where " I lowered my arm but there was just the white void again " well s-" was all I was able to get out before the walls changed again this time instead of the gray color it turned black it got so dark I could barely even see my own limbs or body " hello little one " my heart stopped this new voice wasn't kind or gentle this voice was as cold as ice " I see you there little one but do you see me ?" I quickly looked around I couldn't see anything still except a little red dot suddenly there were hundreds almost thousand or even millions of them then they opened they weren't dots they were closed eyes and all of them open to look at one thing me. I started to hyperventilate I was never one to be scared but here I was on the verge of a panic attack " Oh DID I frighten you little one I sorry you had to be caught up in this but -" suddenly a tenacle wrapped around me " BUT I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANYOTHER WAY " I struggled to get out of the thing but then i felt a weird sensation around my ears " now we can't have liars now can we " suddenly I felt something go in my ear I tried to scream but I felt something pleasure , fear , pain every emotion I felt at once " there we go " I relaxed and went limp , why should I try to escape " now little one three little questions are you ready " I nodded my head , this felt strange but great I never wanted this to end " that's great little one , now do you know where he went " I shook my head I didn't even know who he was talking about " a shame well then , how are you here " " I died got hit by a bus then I was here " I said nonchalantly this feels great " oh so a human then , well before I let you enjoy this for all eternity one last question , what is your name " I wanted this for my entire life no pain ,no hurt ,no sadness , just bliss " Jayden " I said " WHAT " I felt it's grip let go but instead of the bubble floor I fell down " NO WAIT " the last thing i saw was a black mass try to reach out for me as I closed my eyes .
