**Okay, I hope you all enjoy this update. I wrote it a long time ago, so if it's a little disjointed with the previous chapter, let me know.** **Remember, this is a considerable time skip. I hope you all like it.**

It was finally the weekend, and Kagome was on her way home from school to enjoy a lovely relaxing weekend with her parents, brother, and unborn siblings before her last day of school on Monday. She had done it; she made it through her first year of college. Kagome was so happy that it was over; though she had enjoyed every minute of it, she didn't get to see Logan as much as she would have liked. So, she decided to tell her parents that she wanted to spend the summer at Xavier's mansions with Rogue and the other mutants, though she would spend most of her time with Logan. She'd tell them she would leave in July to go to the mansion, giving her two months with her new siblings. With her mind made up, she gets to Stark Tower and goes inside; taking her to pass, she takes the private elevator to the top floor.

"Hello, JARVIS," Kagome says as she enters the elevator.

**Good afternoon Ms. Kagome**

"Are my parents and brother home?"

**Your mother has gone with Happy to retrieve Mr. Souta from school, and your father is upstairs in the penthouse, but I do not advise that you go up there now.**

"Why, what's going on?"

**He is in the middle of a confrontation with a violent individual, and I would advise you not to get involved**

"A violent individual?! JARVIS, take me to the penthouse."

**But-**

"No buts, JARVIS, I'm a Stark; since when have you known a Stark to back down from a fight?"

**Never, ma'am; taking you to the penthouse now.**

When the doors open, the first thing Kagome sees is her father being thrown out the window.

"DAD!"

Loki turned around and looked at Kagome, "So, the Man of Iron has a daughter," Loki cocks his head to the side, then grinned, "Oh, and not just any daughter, but a priestess no less."

Kagome's eyes widen when she sees Loki, and she steps back. She can immediately see what he is.

"A god," Kagome whispers.

"Very good, Priestess, and now I shall claim you as my own."

Kagome's eyes narrow, and she fights, "Over my dead body."

"If need be, but I don't believe it will come to that."

Loki rushes forward and grabs Kagome by the throat; he brings the scepter up and touches her chest. The dark magic flows through the scepter into Kagome, but suddenly Loki is thrown back as Kagome's powers purify her. He's quickly back on his feet and grabs Kagome again before she can react.

"You are more powerful than I thought. Very well, if I cannot have you, then no one shall."

Loki is about to throw Kagome out the window when Tony appears in his Iron Man suit.

"Taking your fucking hands off my kid." Then he blasts Loki with his repulsor beam.

Loki is thrown across the room, knocking him out for a while. Tony lands, and Kagome rushes to her father and hugs him.

"Dad, are you alright?"

"I'm fine, baby girl, are you?"

"Yeah, I'm okay, he tried to use that glow stick on me, but my powers purified it."

"Thank god. Listen, Baby Girl. There will be an invasion; you must get your mom and Souta to the basement and stay there. Keep them safe, Kagome."

"What about you, Dad?"

"I'll be fine, now get going. They'll be arriving home any minute. Meet them downstairs and go straight to the basement."

"Okay, I love you, Daddy."

"I love you too, Baby Girl."

With that, Tony and Kagome head off in different directions. Kagome takes the elevator to the main lobby, and Tony brings it to the sky. The minute the elevator doors open, she sees Nodoka, Souta, and Happy leaving the car. She suddenly sees all three of them look up. Kagome races outside to see that a giant portal has opened in the sky. She stares momentarily, then comes out of her stupor, running up to her family; she shakes her mother.

"Mom, we need to get down to the basement."

"Kagome, what's that? What's going on?"

"It's an invasion, Mom; Dad just told me to take you, Souta, and Happy to the basement."

Upon hearing this, Happy grabs the bags from the car and starts herding Souta toward the entrance, "She's right, Mrs. Stark; we need to get you guys to safety."

They get into the building and take the private elevator to the basement. Inside, there is every possible modern convenience; Tony had set it up as a panic room just in case of a terrorist attack. The basement was fully stocked and had video screens to see outside. JARVIS had already turned everything on so they could see what was happening. Happy helps a pregnant Nodoka to the sofa while Kagome and Souta run to the television screens to see what is happening.

They can see Iron Man has already engaged the enemy and is fighting alone. He's doing a good job, but a lot of them are slipping past him and are already firing on the innocent people of New York. Kagome and Souta look at each other; then Kagome looks at her mother. Nodoka knew that look in her daughter's eyes; she's seen it before when she went into the past to fight Naraku. And she knows there's nothing she can do to stop her. With a resigned sigh, Nodoka rubs her belly and reaches for Kagome's hand. Kagome walks over and takes her mother's hand.

"Be safe, Kagome."

Kagome smiles, "Thanks, Mom, I will."

Happy looks between the two of them, confused when he sees the look in Kagome's eyes and recognizes that look. It's the same look Tony gets when he's going to do something stupid.

"Oh, no, no, no, you are not going out there."

"Happy, I must; I can't let Dad do this alone. I need to help him."

"You can't go out there; you're not even armed."

Kagome gave him a smirk that eerily reminded him of Tony; she closed her eyes and put her hands out. A bow and a quiver of arrows suddenly appear in her hand.

Happy's eyes widen, and his mouth opens, "Holy shit!"

"Holy is right, shit, not so much," Kagome says with a smirk.

Happy rolls his eyes; she's just like her father. "No, really; how did you do that?"

"Happy, I'm a mutant and a priestess; I do have some powers, you know."

Kagome slings the quiver, bows over her shoulder, and heads for the door; Happy grabs her arm, "I'm going with you."

"Nope, you must stay here and look after Mom and Souta. What if she goes into early labor? What is Souta going to do alone?"

Happy had to admit she was right; he sighed and patted her shoulder, "Good luck, Kid."

Kagome hugged Happy, "Don't need it; I have my bow."

With that, Kagome opened the door and left. She ordered JARVIS to seal the basement and not let anyone in who wasn't her or her father.

**Already done, Ms. Kagome. If you wear your Bluetooth, I shall help you as much as possible.**

Kagome pulled her Bluetooth out of her pocket and put it on. "Thanks, JARVIS."

**Anything for you, ma'am.**

"Okay, JARVIS, before we go out there, take me to the penthouse."

**Are you sure that's a wise idea?**

"I can't go out there like this; I need to change first."

**Alright.**

The elevator doors open, and Kagome gets in; they get to the penthouse, and she sneaks into her room, goes to her closet, and grabs the red and black demon slayer's outfit that Sango had given her. Quickly she changes, puts her hair up in a ponytail, and heads back down to the main floor.

Kagome reaches the front door and takes a deep breath, "Ready, JARVIS?"

**Whenever you are.**

"Let's go."

Kagome pushes the door open and walks into a nightmare. The Chitauri are everywhere; they fly around in chariots, firing at the people fleeing for their lives. She looks up and sees what appear to be giant flying whales coming out of the portal; as they pass by the building, the Chitauri have deployed off the Leviathan and begins crawling down the towers.

"I wonder if my spiritual powers will purify these things?" Kagome says out loud.

**Above you!** JARVIS suddenly calls.

Kagome looks up and sees one of the Chitauri getting ready to jump down on her. Using her telekinesis, she throws the creature across the street, pulls her bow off her shoulder, and knocks an arrow. She charges it with her powers and lets it fly. The arrow hits the creature dead in the chest; it screams and instantly purifies.

**It would seem your powers do work on the Chitauri**

"Is that what these things are called? Great, so now we know. Where to JARVIS?"

**Head north on Park Avenue; the Chitauri traps some people.**

Kagome takes off running, dodging, and weaving through the already ruined streets. She gets to where JARVIS told her the people are and immediately starts firing arrows. But she noticed that if the Chitauri were grouped, one arrow was enough. The spiritual energy of one was enough to purify everything in its path.

Once they're all destroyed, she yells at the people to head back inside or make for the subway. Kagome continues using her priestess and mutant powers to fight off the Chitauri.

Natasha and Clint had managed to get all the people out of the bus and had brought them to safety. But they were pinned down; the Chitauri were now climbing down the buildings in more significant numbers. Hiding behind a taxi, Natasha and Clint continued to fire.

"Just like Budapest all over."

"You and I remember Budapest very differently."

The Chitauri began to close in, surrounding Natasha and Clint. Suddenly out of nowhere, an arrow whizzes past Clint's head from behind, and a brilliant pink light can be seen emanating from it. The arrow flies in between all of the Chitauri, never touching a single one, yet turns them all to ash. Natasha and Clint turn around and see a girl standing with another arrow knocked into her bow.

"Who the hell is that?" Clint asked

Natasha's eyes widen as she recognizes those intense blue eyes, "That's Stark's daughter, Kagome."

Kagome recognizes the red-haired woman as having been at her father's house with Director Fury over a year ago. She nods toward her, and all Natasha can do is bounce back. Kagome then touches her ear.

"Right, JARVIS," They hear her say then she takes off running in the opposite direction.

"That was Stark's kid. Well shit, what the hell kind of arrows did he give her?"

While all that's going on, Logan is going through the city on his bike. He and Kagome were supposed to go out that night, but he decided that he wanted to get to the city early. There was something that Logan wanted to ask Kagome. This past year had been very frustrating for the Wolverine, he didn't get to see Kagome as much as he wanted, and it was beginning to annoy him. So he ended it and asked her to marry him whether her old man liked it. She was his, and he wouldn't give her up for anyone.

As he got closer to Midtown Manhattan, he started to see cops all over the place holding back traffic. Logan rides his bike to a rookie officer to discover what is happening.

"What's up, Bub? Why are you guys stoppin' traffic?"

"There's an invasion happening around Stark Tower. Iron Man, Captain America, and others are trying to stop it."

Logan's heart starts to speed up; he knows that if Stark is involved, Kagome is going to get involved as well. He revs his bike and starts going past the rookie. The rookie gets in front of Logan's bike.

"Get out of my way, Bub."

"I'm sorry, sir, I can't let you past the perimeter."

"I don't give a fuck; I'm going through."

The officer pulls out his gun and points it at Logan, "I can't let you do that."

Logan grins, "You're gonna have to shoot me to stop me," Then, he punches the cop, almost knocking him out, and guns his bike down the street.

As soon as Logan gets as close as he can, he gets off his bike and runs toward the chaos. Logan can see these things jumping from the building, attacking the people on the streets. Without even hesitating, he unsheaths his claws and starts hacking his way through these things. He was slowly making his way to Stark Tower when his phone started ringing. He looked down and saw that it was Kagome. Ducking into a building, he answered the call.

"Kagome, please tell me you're safe."

"It's not Kagome, Logan. It's Souta."

The minute he heard Souta's voice, he knew; he closed his eyes and calmly talked to Souta.

"What's going on, Kid? Where's your sister?"

"I saw you on the camera heading for Stark Tower, so I grabbed Kagome's phone to tell you she's not here. She's out there trying to help Tony and his team."

"Of course she is. Where is she?"

"Last time I saw her, she was heading North on Park Avenue, but we lost her when a building blew up," There was a pause, "JARVIS said; she's alright, though."

Logan sighed in relief, "Okay, Kid, don't worry about a thing. I'll find your sister and keep her safe."

"I know you will, Logan, be careful."

"Right."

Logan hung up and put the phone back in his pocket. He opened the door to the building and went back out. Lifting his head, Logan started to scent the air. It was hard at first. All he could smell was blood, death, and charred bodies. He closed his eyes and concentrated only on Kagome's scent; suddenly, it hit him. She wasn't that far from him. His eyes snapped open, and he ran east, this time down 39th.

Kagome was running as fast as she could; she needed to find a place to make a stand and shoot from. As she made her way down 39th, she ran into a squadron of Chitauri; they paused and looked at her.

"Well, shit." She said before she started losing arrows at them.

The arrows would go whizzing by, disintegrating everything in their path. When the Chitauri realized she was a real threat, they opened fire on her. She was suddenly tackled out of the way. The wind knocked her out as she and the person who attacked her landed behind a car; Kagome groaned.

"Can't leave you alone for a second."

Kagome's eyes popped open, "Logan, what are you doing here?"

He smiled and quickly kissed her, "We had a date, remember?"

Logan gets off Kagome and helps her sit up, "But I guess this will have to do."

Kagome and Logan crouched behind the car, "What are we gonna do?" Kagome asked.

"You're gonna throw me into those fuckers," Logan tells her.

"Are you crazy?!"

"Yeah, crazy for you," Logan says with a smirk.

Kagome rolls her eyes, "Very smooth, no really; I'm not going to launch you into them."

"Yeah, you are. Look, you throw me, that'll distract them. You freeze them as the Professor taught you, and I'll hack them up."

"Alright, but be careful."

"Right, Princess."

Kagome grabs Logan by the collar and kisses him, then she concentrates on him and slowly lifts him off the ground with her telekinesis. Kagome pauses for a minute, then raises her hands; she erects a barrier around Logan, then, with all her might, she throws him into the squadron of Chitauri. The ones that Logan lands on the turn to ash when they touch her barrier, giving Logan a chance to stand up. Once he's on his feet, the wall dissipates. Logan unsheaths his claws and starts hacking away while Kagome starts freezing the Chitauri around him using telepathy.

In no time flat, they finish off the squadron. Logan walks back over towards Kagome. "Come on; we got more fightin' to do."

"Logan, wait, we need to split up."

"Are you nuts? I'm not leavin' you alone in all this shit."

"You have to; we can help more people if we split up."

"To hell with other people; I'm only worried about you!" Logan yells.

"Logan, please, we have to help these people."

Logan growls. He knows she's right, but he doesn't like it.

"Alright, fine, if you die, I'm gonna kill ya."

"I won't, don't worry."

"Yeah, right."

Kagome is about to run when Logan grabs her and pulls her into his chest. He gives her a passionate kiss that leaves her weak in the knees. He places his forehead against hers.

"I love you, Kagome."

"I love you too, Logan."

"Marry me."

Logan hadn't intended on doing it this way, but he didn't want to take any chances.

Kagome blinked, then stared at him, "Yes."

He takes the ring out of the box; it was a custom-made X-Men symbol with his claw making the X, and in the middle was a diamond. He slips the ring on her finger and then kisses her again.

"Please, be careful," He says just loud enough for her to hear him.

"I will."

Logan reluctantly lets go of Kagome, and she sprints off down another street.

Logan takes a deep breath, "Alright, time to show these fuckers, why you don't mess with the Wolverine."

Meanwhile, Kagome climbs a fire escape to see if she can see where her father is, "JARVIS, where's Dad?"

**He has flying due north with a Leviathan pursuing him. Climb three more flights, and you should be able to see.**

Kagome sprints up the fire escape three more flights. Kagome shields her eyes and can see a group of people standing around, then a man shows up on a motorbike.

"JARVIS Audio, please."

"So, this all seems horrible."

"I've seen worse."

"Sorry."

"No, we could use a little worse."

"Stark, we got him."

"Banner?"

"Just like you said."

"Then tell him to suit up; I'm bringing the party to you."

At that moment, Kagome sees Tony flying around a building with the Leviathan chasing him. Kagome knocks an arrow and takes aim; she continues to listen.

"I-I don't see how that's a party."

Kagome pulls the string back on her bow but then pauses when she sees the man they call Banner walking towards the monster.

"Dr. Banner, now might be a good time for you to get angry."

"That's my secret; Cap is always angry."

Kagome's mouth o when she sees this man turn into a giant green Oni. The Oni roars and punches the Leviathan in the face, destroying its armor and making it flip. Kagome takes the opportunity to se an arrow; it turns bright pink as it travels toward its target.

Tony, who had turned around, aims at the Leviathan, "Hold on."

But right when he's about to fire, an arrow comes whizzing by from the side and hits the Leviathan, causing it to purify and turn ash.

"What the heck was that?" Steve asks.

Tony instantly realizes that that was one of Kagome's sacred arrows. He looks around to see if he can spot her.

All around, the Chitauri start screeching and pulling off their masks. As more Chitauri pours out of the portal, Tony lands next to Captain America.

"Call it Captain," Tony says.

"All right, listen up. Until we can close that portal, our priority is containment. Barton, I want you on that roof. Eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out; you turn it back or turn it to ash."

"Can you give me a lift?" Clint asks Tony.

"Right, better clench up, Legolas."

Tony leaves Clint on top of the building, but before Tony can fly off, Clint turns to him and tells him that the same thing happened earlier with the Chitauri; they were turned to ash by an arrow.

"Hey, Stark, what's the idea of giving your kid those arrows and not me?"

"She's special," Tony says and flies off.

"JARVIS, locate Kagome."

Kagome is in the process of climbing down the fire escape when her dad lands.

"You are in so much trouble, young lady."

"Did you honestly think I would let you do this alone?"

"I'm not alone."

"Yeah, now, but in the beginning, you were."

"Okay, fine, you helped out. Now go find shelter," Tony tells his daughter exasperatedly.

"No can do, Dad. I am the Shikon No Miko, a guardian of Earth and a Stark. There is no way I'm backing down from this."

Tony rubs his faceplate in annoyance, "Why couldn't you have been more like your mother? You're too much like me. Fine, I know I can't stop you. But after this, you are so grounded."

Kagome smiles and hugs her dad, "Thanks, Dad, see you around." Kagome takes off running, shooting arrows and using her telekinesis to throw the Chitauri.

"Hey, wait, dammit. JARVIS, keep an eye on her."

**Of course, sir, I have been doing it this whole time.**

"You knew she was out here, you traitor."

**She's a Stark, sir; need I say more?**

Tony sighs and takes off to get back to the battle.

Logan takes off where he hears the battle is the most fierce. He sees a person lying on a car being surrounded and suddenly sees a familiar red, white, and blue costume. As he gets closer, he realizes who that person is.

"You're shitting me," Logan says to himself.

Steve is fighting his hardest against the Chitauri, but he's getting tired. He's just got blown out of a building and landed on the roof of a car caving it in. He lays there for a moment, but it's a moment too long. The Chitauri surrounds him. Jumping off the vehicle, he stumbles, and the Chitauri close in. Then he hears a roar, and a man with claws coming out of his knuckles comes hurdling out of nowhere and starts slashing his way toward him. Steve pauses for a moment when he realizes that he knows this man.

"Hey, Cap. Will you stand there all day, or will you give me a hand?" Logan yells as he skewers another Chitauri.

"Logan?"

"Yeah, long time no see."

Steve finally comes out of his stupor and begins to fight again. When they've beaten back the Chitauri, Steve turns to Logan.

"How are you even alive?"

"No time to explain. Gotta go," Logan says and takes off again.

At that moment, Thor lands. He looks to see where Logan has taken off running

"Who was that," Thor asks

"An old friend."

"Where is he off to?"

"Knowing him to kill someone."

Thor looks again at where Logan had gone, "He's an excellent fighter," Thor says.

"Yeah, he is. Come on, Thor; there's more fighting to do."

Meanwhile, Natasha has landed on the roof of Stark Tower and has informed everyone that she can close the portal. Just then, Tony tells them about the nuke and knows where to put it. Tony heads for the exit.

**Shall I try Mrs. Stark, sir?**

"No, call Kagome."

Kagome is hiding inside a building catching her breath when JARVIS comes on her Bluetooth.

**Mr. Stark is trying to reach you.**

"Put it through, JARVIS."

"Kagome?"

"Dad?"

Tony stares at the picture of his little girl for a second, then clears his throat.

"Look, Baby. I need you to watch after your mother, brothers, and sister for me."

"Why, what's going on?"

"There's just something I must do, and… it's a one-way ticket."

Kagome steps out of the building and looks up; she sees her father flying by with a nuke on his back. She watches as he changes the rocket's course and aims it for the portal. Suddenly she realizes what he means.

"Dad, don't. I can see you, don't do it."

"I have to, Baby Girl. I can't let anything happen to my family."

"Daddy, please."

"I love you, Baby Girl, and I'm so proud to have you for a daughter."

"I love you too, Daddy."

At that moment, the phone cuts off. A bright light can be seen from where the nuke has been detonated. Then suddenly, the Chitauri falls over dead. Kagome continues to stare at the sky, waiting for her father to come back. Without warning, the portal closes before Kagome's eyes. Her eyes fill with tears, but then she sees a figure falling fast from the sky.

"DAD!" She screams and takes off running.

Down by Stark Tower, Steve and Thor watch as Tony plummets toward the Earth.

"He's not slowing down," Thor says as he prepares to go after Tony.

But Hulk makes a spectacular catch and crashes on the ground holding Tony. Hulk lays Tony down, and Thor rips his faceplate off.

"Is he breathing?"

Hulk roars and Tony gasps for breath.

"What the hell? What just happened? Please tell me nobody kissed me."

Steve smiles, "We won."

"All right, yay! Hurray. Good job, guys. Let's just not come in tomorrow. Let's take a day. Have you ever tried shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is, but I want to try it."

Thor looks down at Tony, "We're not finished yet."

"And then shawarma after."

From a distance, they suddenly hear a woman screaming.

"DAD!"

Thor and Steve watch as a young woman runs up to Tony and throws herself on top of him. If Tony hadn't been wearing his suit, she would have crushed him. The young lady starts sobbing into his arc reactor while Tony caresses her hair, trying to calm her down. She looks up at him with tears in her eyes.

"You scared the shit out of me!" Kagome says, helping Tony stand up.

"Since when do you cuss?"

"Since now that my dad scared the shit out of me!"

Thor and Steve's mouths fall open for two entirely different reasons.

Steve can't believe Tony's teenage daughter cursed at him, and Thor can't feel what he senses from the girl. He stares at her until he can't take it anymore. He walks up to her and takes her hand, kissing it, then drops it down to one knee.

"Priestess, it is an honor to meet you; I am Thor Odinson; please be mine."

Tony stares at Thor and is about to say something when he hears a voice behind him.

"The hell she's yours, Bub; Kagome's mine!"

Everyone turns around to see Wolverine strolling towards them, dusting himself off. Kagome smiles; she lets go of Tony and runs towards Logan, enveloping him in a hug.

Tony looks at Logan, who just kissed his daughter, and Thor, still kneeling. He shakes his head and starts walking toward Kagome.

"Oh no, to hell with the both of you; Kagome is my kid, she mine!" Tony says as he yanks Kagome out of Logan's arms. Logan growls at Tony.

"She doesn't belong to anyone, well… technically I belong to him," Kagome says as she points to Logan, who has this shit-eating grin on his face.

"What?!" Thor and Tony say at the same time.
