Chapter 14: Possessive Husband

I noticed since the time Tai Lung forced me to kiss him, he has been more and more possessive of me. Tai Lung would watch me like a hawk everywhere I go; it was kind of creepy. I wished he would just leave me alone for once and give me some privacy.

One morning after breakfast, Tai Lung stormed into my room. My heart dropped when I saw what he was holding.

My Diary.

Oh no, I am in big trouble.

"What is this?" Tai Lung growled.

"N-Nothing," I said nervously.

"Oh, don't give me that bullshit. I've seen what you have written in here. You want to escape? You have a crush on Tigress?!" Tai Lung yelled.

"No," I said quietly.

"Yes, you do. Your writing is clear. How dare you swoon over someone else while you are married to me?" Tai Lung said dangerously.

"I don't love you. You are a psycho!" I yelled. I slapped my hand over my mouth. I should not have said that.

"What did you just say?" Tai Lung growled again.

"Nothing," I said nervously again.

"No, I want you to say it. Say it again." Tai Lung said.

"I don't love you," I said quietly.

Tai Lung grabbed my hair and dragged me to the corner of the room. "I am going to teach you to love me, you little brat." Tai Lung said dangerously. I cried out in pain when he pulled my hair tightly. When we got to the corner of the room, Tai Lung knelt to my level and gripped my chin.

"Tell me, Lana. Do you love Tigress?" Tai Lung asked me.

"I…" I said. I sighed before continuing. I had to be honest with him or else it would make things worse. "Yes."

Tai Lung's eyes went dark when he heard my answer. Tai Lung walked closer to me, invading my personal space. "I am going to teach you to love me." Tai Lung said.

"Tai Lung, please…" I begged, tears streaming down my face.

"Shut up!" Tai Lung yelled. Tai Lung kicked me behind my knees, making me fall to the ground. "I am going to make you regret swooning over someone else during our relationship."

"Take your shirt off." Tai Lung ordered me.

"What?" I said, my eyes widened in horror.

"Take your shirt off. Now!" Tai Lung yelled. I whimpered and then did what he said. I took my shirt off. I let my shirt fall to the floor. Tai Lung grabbed my hands and tied them behind my back with rope. Tai Lung grabbed a whip.

I screamed in pain when the first strike hit me. I felt blood pouring down my back. I screamed and begged Tai Lung to stop hurting me, but he wouldn't listen. He was determined to make me learn my lesson. I started to regret writing those things down in my diary because I knew he would find it sooner or later.

Tai Lung continued whipping me. Tai Lung gave me 30 lashes with the whip. I counted in my head. By now, my back and my stomach were gushing out with blood. The blood stained the carpet. Tai Lung got annoyed when he saw me crying.

"This was mild. Hardly anything at all. I could have done so much worse. If you can hardly handle this, then I suggest you listen to me and follow my rules, then I won't have to go further." Tai Lung said.

I nodded to let him know I heard him. I still had some tears in my eyes as he untied my hands.

"Stay here and think about what you did. I will be back in a bit to check on you." Tai Lung said. Tai Lung slammed the door behind him when he left.

I stayed in the room for a couple of hours. Tai Lung took my diary away so I couldn't write down anything. I wouldn't write down anything anyway. I wouldn't want to risk another punishment. I crawled into my bed and started to cry again. The only time I could cry without being yelled at was when Tai Lung wasn't around.

The cuts on my back from the whip hurt like hell. I was in so much pain. I stared at the whip that was lying on the ground. I have been whipped before so I know what it feels like but every time I get whipped it hurts more and more.

After another hour, Tai Lung finally came back. I shuttered in fear when he glared at me. I felt scared when he sat dow on the bed next to me and gripped my chin.

"Are you going to be a good girl now?" Tai Lung asked me.

"Y-Yes." I stuttered.

"Good. Now, no more hiding stuff from me. Okay?" Tai Lung said.

"I won't hide stuff from you anymore," I said.

"Good girl." Tai Lung said. Tai Lung gave me a kiss. I didn't return his kiss. Every time he kisses me, it makes me want to throw up. "Now let's get you cleaned up. I don't want blood stains all over the house."

Tai Lung picked me up and carried me bridal style to the bathroom. I took the rest of my clothes off while Tai Lung drew the bath. I was used to being naked in front of him since the many times we have had sex so I don't mind taking my clothes off. I whimpered when Tai Lung put me in the water because the water made my cuts sting.

He grabbed a gauze and soaked it with water, then put it on the cuts. I whimpered in pain again.

"I know it hurts, but keep it down." Tai Lung said. I did as he said and tried my best to keep the noise down. I tried to think of something else while he was cleaning up my wounds.

I remembered one of the movies I was looking forward to, Avengers: Infinity War that was coming out soon. I really wanted to see it but I won't be able to because my husband is holding me captive.

Maybe if I asked him, he would let me go to the movies. He always says no when I ask him for things, so I barely ask him for stuff unless it is something I really want. Like going to the premiere for this movie. As a moviegoer, I always go to big premieres. I know he will say no but it's worth a shot.

I snapped out of my thoughts when Tai Lung carried me out of the bathtub and into our room. He sets me down on the bed and I put my clothes on.

"Tai Lung?" I said as he was about to leave the room. Tai Lung sighed and looked at me.

"What is it?" He said.

"I- I was wondering. There is a new movie coming out soon and I want to go to the premiere. Can I go? Please?" I asked him. I was praying in my head, hoping he would say yes.

After a long moment of silence, he finally spoke up. "I guess, if you are good for the next week we can go. But I am coming with you."

I felt my heart leap with joy.

"I am going to go get dinner. Be good while I'm gone." Tai Lung warned me in a firm tone.

When Tai Lung left the house, I celebrated my victory.

During the next week, I made sure to be on my best behavior because I wanted so badly to go to the premiere of the new Avengers movie.

I did my best to not screw up. Tai Lung didn't punish me as much during the week I was trying to be good because I was trying to behave. I did all my chores, cooked all the meals, and did what he asked me to without talking back. He would yell at me a few times when I wasn't paying attention, but it was nothing physical. The cuts on my back from the whip have slowly been healing.

When the week was up, I asked again if we could go to the movie. "Please, I've been good. I did everything you asked without complaining."

Tai Lung sighed. "Fine. You were good this week. Get ready, we're leaving in 30 minutes." Tai Lung said.

When I went to the room to get ready, I did a jump for joy but I did it quietly so my husband wouldn't hear me. I put on one of my favorite RWBY shirts and put a black choker necklace on. I wanted to look my best because this is the first time I have gone to the movies in a year. I am so excited.

When I was ready, I met Tai Lung downstairs then we left. I felt my heart pounding when we were getting closer and closer to the theater. When we got there, the theater was packed with moviegoers. I don't mind because I like lots of people during premiere dates. We got our tickets for the Imax theater. We sat down in the very back where I like to sit.

As the previews were playing, the theater slowly filled up with people.

Maybe I could use this chance to escape. Since there are lots of people here, someone would be bound to hear my cries for help. I thought in my mind. I began to think of an escape plan while the previews were playing but it was hard when Tai Lung was watching me like a hawk.

After the previews were finished, the movie finally started. I was snapped out of my thoughts when the theater erupted in loud claps and cheers when the intro played.

The movie was lots of fun. The audience laughed throughout the movie. Cheers erupted when Thor, Groot, and Rocket made their entrance into Wakanda. I wasn't all that surprised when Thanos got hold of the Infinity Stones and made half the population disappear. That was his plan from the beginning.

The part that disappointed me though was when some of my favorite superheroes disappeared like Black Panther, Doctor Strange, etc. I wasn't too worried though because the second movie, Avengers: Endgame was coming out next year. I hope to be around to see it. We stayed for the end credit scenes.

When we were finished, I figured now would be the best time to make my escape plan. I told Tai Lung that I needed to use the bathroom, so he let me go while he waited outside. My heart pounded in my chest while I was writing a note.

The note said:

Please help.

I am being held hostage by my husband.

I knew this was a risk, but it was a risk I was willing to take to save my own life. I was able to slip past Tai Lung by hiding in the crowd. Thankfully he didn't notice but I needed to be quick.

I went up to the concession stands where the staff was selling the food. I snuck my way past the line and put the note on the desk near the staff so they could see it. I gave a secret signal to the staff. They saw the signal. I pointed to the note. One of the staff who was a female picked up the note. She read the note and looked at me with concern.

"Help? You need help?" She said.

"Yes," I said quietly and nodded. "Please, you have to hide me."

"Okay. I will do what I can." She said.

"LANA!" I heard Tai Lung yelling.

My body began to shake as Tai Lung ran up to me. He grabbed me tightly by the arm. "What do you think you are doing?" Tai Lung demanded. He gave me an angry look. I could feel another bruise forming on my arm from his tight grip.

People began to stare. I could tell they were too afraid to intervene because they all had heard the story of Tai Lung.

"I wasn't doing anything!" I shouted. Tai Lung slapped me hard across the face.

"Bullshit! I know what you are up to. You were trying to escape, weren't you?" Tai Lung said.

"No!" I cried.

"Yes, you were. Do not lie to me. Bringing you here was a mistake." Tai Lung said. Tai Lung's grip tightened as he dragged me away. "We are going home, and you are getting a punishment you will never forget."
