"You ready for this?" Kate stood beside me on the empty beach. Most everyone had taken down their tents. Some were still working on piling up some of the tents and supplies away from the beach just in case another storm hit and the water level got high.

"Ready as I'll ever be." Taking in a deep breath, I was glad to hear the happy chatter filling the air as the other survivors talked about what life might be like when they got back to civilization. "I will also not mind going to another island-at least no tropical islands- as long as I live."

"I couldn't agree more." Kate smiled, her smile wavering with so much emotion. I understood that it was a bittersweet time leaving the place we had called home. "Who knew one person could get so sick of paradise."

"Hey, we're ready to head out." Jack gently touched my arm to grab my attention. "I haven't had a chance to give you your antibiotic yet. Have a minute?"

"Sure," I wasn't sure I had a choice as he was already pulling off his backpack. However, one tiny prick and it was all over. It was something I was used to now.

"Have you eaten anything this morning?"

"Oatmeal with banana."

"Good. We'll leave in about ten minutes." Jack discarded the needle in his bag and left to talk to Hurley.

"Sounds like you got the seal of approval from Jack." Sawyer teased as he came up behind us. "Have either of you thought about what you're going to do after we break away from this island?"

"I don't know about you but I am not going back to the way things were," Kate told him specifically, referring back to their days of conning people. I am a changed woman."

"I am right there with you." James agreed, glancing over at me. "Juliet?"

"I'm going to help more patients who are struggling with fertility." It took me a moment to respond, as I woke up not feeling great, but I also didn't want to hold up anyone from making it to the submarine either. There was no way I was going to look Jack in the eye and tell him I wouldn't be able to go, as he would probably run with it and nobody would get there.

"I look forward to seeing you succeed."

"Thank you."

"Looks like I'm being summoned." He nodded over to Miles who was ushering him over to help him and Hurley take down the rest of the remaining tents.

"I can't believe this is really it."

"Hey." Claire joined us, following our line of sight. "So, I guess this is really it. I'm almost waiting for the other shoe to drop after everything we've all been through."

"I know the feeling." Kate took one last long look around the island as Sawyer waved her over. "I should see what Sawyer needs so we can leave."

"How are you doing?"

"Not going to lie, last night was rough. The only thing that made it better was Aaron finally sleeping through the night-on our last night. It's got me thinking I finally found the life I wanted, minus this island."

"Alright, listen up." Jack was standing in front of our group that had gathered together. "We have a two-hour walk to get to the submarine. Make sure you drink plenty of water on the way. We don't want anyone dehydrated before we get on the submarine. We can fit limited supplies due to the number of people we're taking. Let's go."

Claire continued to walk beside me, Kate and Sawyer joining us a few minutes later. The good thing was we pretty much all knew this island like the back of our hand which made it easier to make our way through the area without feeling like we were going to fall down a steep hill.

At one point, I hardly knew what was happening as Claire pushed me to the other side of a tree growing sideways, a root growing down underneath the steep dirt incline. As I emptied the content of my stomach, I wiped my mouth with the cloth in my hand, turned and almost collapsed. If Sawyer and Kate hadn't been there, I would have ended up back on the ground for a second time.

"Hey, Jack. I'm going to need you over here." Sawyer waved him over from the front. The whole group stopped, conversing with each other as he made his way to the back.

"Juliet?" His dark eyes were questioning as he looked me over to see if there was any concern to be worried.

"I'm good. Just got a little lightheaded." I nodded at him that I was okay. "I haven't been walking around as much since I had my surgery, I'm sure it didn't help. Give me a few minutes."

"Everything okay?" Hurley spoke up. I had grown a soft spot for the slightly anxious man since he had been tasked with keeping an eye on me when I had made it back to camp with Jack, Kate, and Sawyer.

"Let's continue on our way."

"Thanks," I told Claire as we fell back into place behind Kate and Sawyer. "How are you doing?"

"Any time. I know that look all too well, but for different reasons. I'm doing okay. Not feeling as sick today."

"Mama." Aaron reached his little hand over Charlie's shoulder as they walked a few feet from them.

"You should go walk with them."

"If I do, Aaron will just want me to hold him the entire time, so Charlie and I decided he would walk ahead and hold him. "

"Good man."

"So you said earlier that your sister had a son."

"Julian."

"Have you thought about what you're going to say when you see her again?"

"I don't know if I have the right words to tell her how sorry I am for leaving her alone."

"Hey, your leaving wasn't your fault."

"I made the decision to take the job. I created the fertility drug that attracted the Others to bring me to the island."

"I'm kind of glad they did. I understand now countless other women would have died if you weren't here. I would have died if you hadn't known what to do."

"Even though Ben did it to get me into the camp."

"I'll admit, I wasn't too happy when I found out it was a ploy to get in with the other survivors. After you switched sides, I had a change of heart. Realized you weren't the one behind it. We've all been manipulated by Ben, you are definitely no exception.
