Hello everyone!

So, it's been… 8 years? Since I last posted. 8 years is quite a long time. I'm not sure how many of you are still following this, but I rediscovered it a couple of days ago and would like to address some things (then I'll post the next chapter which I happened to write 8 years ago lol).

First of all, this was a precious story to me because I kept up with it the longest of all my stories. That doesn't mean it's perfect – and it definitely doesn't mean I was perfect back then. That being said, let's address the elephant in the room: Nico's sexuality.

I was an ignorant kid. That's not an excuse for changing his sexuality, but in all honesty I only thought there was gay and straight. I didn't know there are other sexualities like bisexual, etc. It took a while to learn about it the more exposed I was to the internet.

The thing is, little me had a crush on Nico and wanted to make a self-insert OC where she and Nico could get together in the end. The characters had no chemistry, but I was determined to satisfy my little crush. If I had known there's a such thing as bisexual, I wouldn't have had that disclaimer in the story bio in the first place.

That being said, I'll keep that disclaimer up in the story bio only so new readers won't be confused by this & the "homophobic" comment (which I'll also leave up, because, learning opportunity).

I don't know if I'll ever continue this story because I forgot my plan for it. Which sucks, because I remember having a fire plan for the final battle (my friend begged it out of me back then and she was so hyped). Maybe one day I'll rewrite it or make an entirely new fanfic – who knows! I'm currently rereading all of Rick Riordan's books and awaiting season 2 eagerly (and finding a job… ugh, adulting…) so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

To my lovely 5 readers, I love you all! You're the best! Helia loves you too!

Btw, the author's note is also from 2016 ;-; my apologies.

Here goes nothing:

Slivers of light peeked through the cracks between Helia's eyelids. As if she had just awoken from a deep slumber, her bones felt extremely stiff. Groaning, Helia, attempted and succeeded to sit up from her uncomfortable position on the pavement of what seemed to be a public park somewhere.

The first thing that she noticed was that it was boiling. The concrete she was laying upon, and the sun beating down upon her head. The next thing she noticed was the odd young couple strolling along on the sidewalk toward her.

"Your home town is very interesting, Leo. And so is this Star...bucks."

The scrawny boy with the mischievous grin next to the stunning girl answered. "Told you Houston is one of the best places around, Sunshine."

Helia scrambled to her feet and approached them. "Excuse me... this is Houston? In Texas?"

The boy, Leo, scrunched his eyebrows. "Yes... are you lost? Hopped on the wrong airplane and somehow made your way to Memorial Park?" His eyes scanned her clothes, which included the sword in her belt that wasn't very well hidden. "I'm Leo and this is Calypso... are you from New York by any chance?"

"How...?" Then it clicked in her head. Leo, Calypso, the boy who died that everyone at camp talked about, everything suddenly placed together like a puzzle. But one piece was missing. "How are you alive?"

Leo opened his mouth to speak but froze when he saw someone who had walked up to Helia. Nico stared back at Leo and the four of them stood there in an uncomfortable, awkward silence before someone ran up to them bellowing, "LEO!"

Everyone turned toward Percy and Annabeth who were running toward them. Apparently, they had landed further away from Helia and Nico, which was strange since they had all traveled at the same time.

"P-Percy? Annabeth? Nico?" Leo stammered.

"Percy?" Calypso whispered.

The two approached the rest with tears in their eyes and hugged Leo, first Annabeth, then Percy. Then Percy started to yell at Leo.

"What the hell were you thinking, Leo? That you would just die, then decide to come back to life and make us all grieve for you? Do you even know how much we went through? Huh? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?" It wasn't just playful yelling, it was actual, full-on mad yelling. To compare it to a parent scolding their child for getting in trouble would be an understatement in this situation.

"Percy, calm down-" Annabeth tried to pull her boyfriend away from the frightened teenager but failed.

"Why did you have to hide your plan from us, we could have talked it through! Made sure that everyone came out alive. WHAT THE HELL-"

"I DID IT FOR HER, ALRIGHT?" Leo spat back, his voice breaking. "I did it for Calypso."

Calypso, who had grabbed Leo's arm to support him, gripped his arm a bit tighter and looked up at Percy for the first time with pleading eyes, begging him to stop.

"Calypso," Percy stammered, his voice softened immensely. "Calypso, I'm so sorry. I'm-"

"You left her alone on that island," Leo continued with a dry, shaking voice. "You left her alone, when you could've found a way how to get her off."

"I asked Zeus-"

"You asked Zeus, yes, but did he do anything? No. Even if you asked him, he either forgot or didn't care to, so you should have done something, asked him more, demand him if you have to. But you shouldn't have left her alone on that island."

Calypso whispered something in Leo's ear and his eyes softened, and glanced at his old friend apologetically as he turned around and walked away to another area of the park.

"You must be Annabeth, I heard a lot about you from the two boys. It's a pleasure to finally meet you," Calypso said to Annabeth, suddenly changing the mood.

"Likewise," said Annabeth, shaking her hand. Then Calypso turned to Percy and after a second, they hugged each other tightly.

Nico and Helia, the odd ones out, glanced at each other before going their separate ways. Nico walked after Leo, and Helia turned to the rest of the group and awkwardly suggested, "Should we find a place for food and exchange stories?"

A/N: HELLO I AM BACKCKKKK HAHAAHAHAHHA

I'm sorry I have no idea why I haven't been writing or where I had left my inspiration at WRITING INSPIRATION WHERE ART THOU

So I have decided that I will edit this whole story because before this chapter, I had read my whole story again and found plenty of mistakes. So I will be working on that.

Also I will try to find a better cover to this story. I didn't know what to put before so currently there is a close-up picture of sad Nico. I'll find something better.

Oh yeah Leo ;-; (- what does that face even mean someone please explain or I will go mad) In this story any events that happened after BoO don't exist, which include Magnus Chase and Trials of Apollo and Demigods and Magicians and anything else.

I love you guys so much thank you for reading my super bad writing and keeping up with this story ^.^ I really appreciate it.

If you survived to the end of this author's note you are officially my new best friend.
